3621  Other / Off-topic / Re: How connected are you to the Matrix? on: April 08, 2021, 02:47:44 PM
Unfortunately I am still using Google which probably the central hub of the matrix
For me the matrix is the Internet with global tech companies being in control. But I do use a VPN, does it help? Or I am still being controlled by the architect?
3622  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: owldetect - Persönliche Daten modern geschützt! on: April 08, 2021, 12:25:27 PM
3623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lucky Winners of the Day - Random Pick on: April 07, 2021, 02:19:57 PM
what would be more interesting for us to know and how much he deposited and how long he was playing and how much losses he already had before he won all this money. I’ve seen many cases where people post that they manage to play with  $1000 and win more than $9000, but when you ask the person how much losses they have had before this big victory they answer that they lost $36000, then $36000 was lost and only won $9000 still with losses. in this case that OP posted we have to know how much  losses these guys had

Yes, this would be very interesting. Unfortunately I don't think the gambler would come to the forum and post all his gambling history. This information we could maybe get from the casinos. If they would make an anonymous overview of the Top 5 gamblers per month and maybe also the Top 5 unluckies gambler in a month, there would be a lot of people interested in it. But this is proprietary data, so the casinos might be reluctant to make such explicit details public.
3624  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will replace oil and Gold on: April 07, 2021, 01:07:18 PM
The problem now is people are use to getting free money they didn't work hard for that they are unable to differentiate real life event from fiction, lol, btc will replace oil and Gold  Shocked, that will mean you won't need gasoline or petrol for your cars, nor 24k Gold ring for your engagement  Grin
Bro, let me say this once, btc may increase in price to infinity but it can never replace this two comodities, enjoy your free money while it last.  Roll Eyes
i still need gold and oil and Bitcoin won't be able to replace it "lol".  the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise (no debate), with the growing price of Bitcoin, it does not mean that gold and oil will be replaced.  after all, these two commodities will continue to be needed by humans.

if so far gold and oil have been the choice of investors, Bitcoin have steal investors' attention. Bitcoin takes part of the cake (market) which has been controlled by gold and oil not replaced it.

I agree that bitcoins are taking away market shares of investors who are looking for safe sssets
But both gold and oil are needed as a commodity for production and consumption. Bitcoins on the other hand is merely to store value for the future. So if there was another big crisis we could see gold and oil drop in price but there is a certain minium price for which the industry is going to buy all the resources they can get. Both oil and gold can just be stored for the future.
3625  Economy / Economics / Re: Are "Work Ethics" & "American Dream" a way to keep people working hard? on: April 07, 2021, 01:03:12 PM
Actually work ethics is the way of having the proper work etiquette in everytime that we are working with our colleagues in which it will help us to have a proper team work inside the job. The thing that the American dream is that whenever you work hard and put all of your effort that's already enough for you to be successful someday but the thing that we need to consider is that we need tk strive high in order for us to be more successful someday.

For me the American dream was always that you could make it from a dishwasher to a millionaire if you work hard enough. But is this still the case? I noticed that the living cost rose much faster than salaries over the last 10 years. Would 1 million USD be enough to  be rich and have made it in life? Definitely not in my country. In my city for example, you get a 100m2 apartment for 1 million. So while you are a millionaire on paper it won't be enough.
3626  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Brexit: the beginning of the end? on: April 07, 2021, 12:57:56 PM
We are in the era of divide and rule. Guess who gets divided, guess who wants to rule.

Yeah everybody wants to hold the power, but if we look down to individual people we see that most of them don't care about politics. For most elections I see participation rates of 50-60% which is not a lot. Voters either don't have favourite party they would vote for or they just don't care. To me it looks like more the local politicians want to have more power and look more important. However having countries with less than 100 million people trying to be important is not working out anymore. That is why the future is with countries like China or India.
3627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambling company that did hit the jackpot during the pandemic. on: April 07, 2021, 12:51:34 PM
I believe a Betting Company has to be moral, beneficial to both customers and society. Part of what makes betting companies immoral is dangers they expose customers to. Lot of the betting companies allow customers to take big risk or gamble... I guess that's what you are referring to as  "Problem Gambler?" in your post. The problem with that phrase is that gambling is always a problem, and Problem Gambler sound more like Tautology. The General term for companies/markets like that should be "Betting/Prediction Market", the dangerous betting market or those that allow big risk or irresponsible predictions/bettings should be regarded as Gambling Market. There is no such thing as "Safe Gambling" either, Gambling is simply "taking big risk". Gambling in Betting Market is same as taking big risk in Betting Market.

The Betting/Prediction Market has to be safe for bettors or predictors. Bettors shouldn't be allowed to take big risk, nor bet with what they can't afford to risk/lose. And if you are not a skilled/experienced/successful bettor, bet with little amount occasionally, or with no amount atall, unless you are skilled bettors who make profits consistently... And the Games/Competitions/Events you bet on have to be moral/good.

This is the optimal condition for the company and the gamblers. If every casino would act in such a manner we would have no problems. However for some people every form of gambling is already inmoral. It might be due to religious reasons or because of past experiences. In my opinion it is up to the casinos to change their views in society. Maybe they could offer better information beforehand about risks and reward. I think offering play money for every game is already a good approach.
3628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why not wrap your Bitcoins? on: April 07, 2021, 12:33:59 PM
I have hung on since 2012 and love Bitcoin as much as anyone. But now I'm wondering: WHY NOT wrap your Bitcoins?

There's only one thing better than Bitcoin. Bitcoin with yield. Bitcoin you can do something with. Like getting rich and having fun in DeFi while still owning your Bitcoins.

To me it doesn't matter which of the two blockchains hold my coin.  I trust Bitcoin and Ethereum equally.

Yes, there is smart contract risk.

Asking because I have not gone all in yet but the DeFi yield drug is hard to resist.

Yield...so much yield.

I have no experience with getting a yield on my bitcoins. Though it sounds very interesting. Is it an safe market to go into? I am very curious on how other people are going go earn with our bitcoins. And what are the high yields to be achieved? Maybe you could share some past deals you have done? Did you lose any coins like that? Sounds very promising to look deeper into it.
3629  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the age demographic here? on: April 07, 2021, 12:27:52 PM
Hey Gang,
I'm curious about the age of our forum.
I visit the Reddit Bitcoin forum and judging from the posts, it seems like the average age over there is maybe 30 years old.

I'm guessing it's a bit more here based on the sound advice and investment experience.
Just kinda curious what age groups we are here.

I am a bit surprised that most people here tend to be below 30. I thought that people after 30 get more interested in cryptos. Damn, I start to feel old.
3630  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin are good and not USDT what else? on: April 07, 2021, 12:25:27 PM
what else?
if btc are good and nobody cant take it from you by freezing your balance but the problem is btc are volatility.

so my conclusion: banks and bitcoins are good and best? banks are best becouse you can hold your stable fiat currency safe there

In my country banks are no real options anymore. Due to 10 years of low interest rates the traditional saving model is broken. For example, I get between 0 and 0.25% interest per year while I have to pay a fixed fee for my bank account. On top of that is the inflation rate around 2%, so I am losing around 1.75% purchasing power every year. If I really want to save my money I need to go into cryptos or stocks.
3631  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you can't be rich by owning crypto on: April 07, 2021, 09:23:26 AM
The thing is, in every people profitting the money must be coming from somewhere else and this distribution of wealth could result in another rich person but also another poor person. It won't affect the productivity at all since the coin is limited while the money to pump the price must be coming from somewhere else and you don't account that being rich doesn't necessarily means you're stop being productive. You see so many billionaire out there that instead of taking vacation for their whole life, they expand their business instead with the money they got.

This is an interesting argument. You are right, all trading is a zero sum game in the end. For one person to be profiting, we would need another one to lose the money. To have all these rich peoples, it takes a lot of poor people to balance it out I guess. So we can definitely become rich by owning cryptos, it is just that we eventually need to convert our trades into material things, like buying a Tesla car for 1 BTC or maybe a small apartment.
3632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't you hate it when.... on: April 07, 2021, 09:14:11 AM

.... you bet on a team team and it teases a comeback just to fxxk you over.

This happens to me every 3. game I bet on basketball.
Just now, my team was down by 19 in the 1st half and 17 at HT. 2min before the end of the 3rd they come within 1 just to give up 8 straight again.
90sec before the end the make it a 1 point game again just to give up 9 straight, WTF.

My teams never come back, just let me think there is hope and then fxxk me. Basically in this game they fxxked me 3 times. First playing shit and go down by 19, then teasing the first comeback and then the 2. one.

It never ends for me.

For me comebacks usually only go in the other way. When my team is behind I barely see chances of a comeback, but when my team is winning I see some random goals happening in the 89th minute just to change the easy win to a draw. I probably lost most of my bets due to a draw because I bet for a victory. It is really frustrating to think you are winning just to get the win stolen from you in the last second. It would be nice if we could buy some insurance for the big swings in the last 5 minutes of a game.
3633  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The cry of the African nation on: April 07, 2021, 09:02:07 AM

Save our nation, give us our right
Don't kill our passion, don't keep us in the night
We all owe our nation our might
Together we will make the future bright

I like the ending of your poem. We all need to pray for Africa, they are in a very difficult position right now. The poem says it right, the people need to work hard to make the future bright. But it is on the rest of the world to help out Africa in their process to recover from this global crisis. The living qualities in Africa are so low compared to the rest of the world.
3634  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do not expose people to harm on: April 07, 2021, 08:48:41 AM
Some days ago I saw some "sensitive information" about satoshi shared on a section of this forum(Bitcoin section), I was abit worried and wanted to discourage or speak against it but changed my mind realizing that the information has been available publicly on satoshi's Bitcointalk account for anyone to go through. I concluded that the person or thing copying and sharing such information may not have done anything immoral/illegal if he/she/it has no bad intention, doesn't misuse/abuse the information or doesn't expose the owner to harm or risk with the way the information is used

I think it's better to use such information privately as a researcher or share them with people that would never abuse it. In my opinion, people who would not care to research about such information could misunderstand, misinterpret or know things about him that shouldn't be known by any kind of person.

I agree, information is very difficult to control in todays world. Also infortmation is everything these days, with it we can control the world. Which gives a lot of weight on to positive and negative information. We all need to decide how we deal with "sensitive information" spreading it or not. There should be more restriction on how data and information can be used.
3635  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading an occupation? on: April 07, 2021, 08:28:15 AM

We could define crypto currency trading as follows:
Cryptocurrency trading involves speculating on price movements via a CFD trading account, or buying and selling the underlying coins via an exchange.

What could we deduce from this. Could there be a contrary view. Because for me crypto trading can be classified as an occupation in at this point of the world's evolution especially in underdeveloped and developing nation's where unemployment is hitting the peak of the day. Crypto trading could be an alternate source of lively hood which could payoff most of the bills some highly paid jobs can not attempt to clear off. This post isn't meant to discourage you from your job. It's only an eye opener. Crypto trading can still serve as a side hustle to settle bills before the arrival of our large salaries.

In my opinion all kinds of traders can view their trading as occucpation. It doesn't really matter if you trade stocks, currencies, commodities or cryptos. As long as you are making a profit and can live of your trades than it is an occupation. Using trading to pay our bills is a good idea, but we also need to be careful that we fullfill all the regulatory requirements in our countrs. Another issue would be to pay taxes from our trades. It is not always the case that the broker or exchange will directly post our returns to the tax collectors, we might need to do it ourselfs. So taking away some profit for the tax payments at the end of the year is a factor we need to take into onsideration.
3636  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you can't be rich by owning crypto on: April 06, 2021, 12:58:12 PM
The value of Bitcoin have increased by 707% over the last year,  and the average deflation is 96%

As the value of Bitcoin increases, it's owners would have a reduced incentive to do their job, and they would retire at a younger age(since they would have enough money to live the rest of their life). This would decrease the global productivity, even if the demand remains same(or even increase due to increased wealth). This would in turn increase the price of all commodities almost at the same rate as that of Bitcoin(law of supply and demand)

So even if your rich, and your net worth is increasing with increase in the price of Bitcoin, after everyone have adopted Bitcoins globally, even your richness wouldn't be that much rich, since the value of the things that can be brought with those bitcoins would actually grow the same rate as the bitcoin(due to decreasing productivity)

The illusion that the value of your Bitcoin wallet is increasing only works when you compare it with other currencies, and if every other currencies go extinct, the only way to measure our currency is by number of things that can be bought for one unit(purchasing power)

I'm not sure if that's how it works, correct me if I'm wrong(I'm not really an economist)

This sounds quite interesting, but I see a problem here. For your arguments to be right it would mean that everybody is actually owning bitcoins. So everything would rise with the price of bitcoins if we all would profit the same way from bitcoins. But this is not the case, in my opinion owning bitcoins or crypto coins in general is pretty similar to owning stocks. We are seeing rising stock prices for the last 40 years but yet most people own only a very little stocks or don't diversify their stocks enough. So the price of goods doesn't move with stocks and it shouldn't move with cryptos either.
3637  Other / Off-topic / Re: Take care of your health on: April 06, 2021, 07:50:42 AM
To keep your body healthy, you must pay special attention to weight control. Weight control is very important to prevent cardiovascular disease. Exercise can burn fat. In this way, fat is not easy to accumulate in the body, and the level of blood lipids in the body will not increase. , Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases will stay away from us.

This is so important in today's world. We are all living in a lockdown due to the pandemic with no end in sight. The gyms are closed and we are stuck in home office. We need to make sure to not gain too much weight due to corona.
3638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: April 06, 2021, 07:47:36 AM
This sadly happens so common. I observed some Turkish streamers sponsored by steam key/csgo whatever websites, playing betting and winning to pull people in. Those were obviously set up wins for streamer. I think its nearly impossible to deal with it. People will always find way to rig.

I find it quite alarming that this is still happening today. YouTube and twitch should be more active against such exploiting streamers. If they would make the people personal liable to repay all their steaming profits if they promote fake bets without highlighting them as such then these people would be more afraid. There is just too much money being made.

As per the all the researches. Now commenced the Alt Season. Lot of giant youtubers , Websites indicates that alt season started.

I also personally believe that April for ALT. What is your experiences and view about this ?

It is hard to tell in which part of the investing cycle we are right now, but investing more in the alt coin market seems like a good trade to me. The bitcoin price seems to be stuck between 50-60,000 USD. Expecting another big rally in the near future might be a bit too optimistic. My next trades are likely going to be in the alt coin market as well.

Maybe you can work with an escrow member here.
