I think Manchester United's transfer priority in the summer should be a striker. Because they have had serious finishing problems this season so far. Rashford started the season really good actually but it didn't take him a long time to start performing poorly about scoring. Martial also can't help in such cases as he is also wasting many opportunities.

Having a solid striker might be a big relief for the team honestly. Their main problem is with finding easy goals now. This just causes them to lose points in unexpected games and have big issues with getting comfortable wins.

I would love to watch Ronaldo at Chelsea while they are having scoring problems already. I know that he hasn't shown any impressive performance but it was due to his not getting many chances in the starting eleven. Otherwise he was pretty solid in the previous season by scoring so many goals in the Premier League.

I don't believe the Real Madrid rumours because Benzema is returning soon. As long as he doesn't get injured once again in a short time I don't expect them to sign any centre-forward in January. Maybe Ronaldo had amazing years there but we have left those days behind.

It was a really terrible result for Argentina. Saudi Arabia's winning odd was incredibly high and big congrats to who gave them a chance.  

Not much time after Messi scored a penalty, Martinez was so close to scoring their second goal as well. This goal would have secured a win for them I assume. However it was disallowed due to offside. Everything started to go an interesting way after that. In the first minutes of the second half, Saudi Arabia scored 2 goals in 5 minutes which was a big shocker for Argentina. After that Argentina did their best to find the equalizer but they were so clumsy to do so. This is the worst start for Argentina and I wonder how good they will move on from now on. Because the other opponents are even tougher.

I'm curious about how determined Arsenal will be for the Europa League title. So far they have done a great job about balancing the English Premier League and Europa League. They have performed strongly in both of the tournaments. There will be a long break for the rest of the games to start now.

Unless they have to deal with serious injuries after the World Cup ends, I don't expect Arsenal to lose their concentration and start struggling in any of these tournaments. Besides they might add new players to their squad in January as well which would help them a lot in the rest of the season.

Honestly I would like to see Arsenal making it to the title this season as I indicated it in the past. This is like their biggest chance after many years. Their job is of course very difficult against Manchester City but things are going well for now. Arsenal will need Manchester City to make more mistakes on this road.

As for Manchester City to get far away, I wouldn't be so sure. Because Manchester City are a very strong team that can get out of every kind of bad condition sooner or later. They had a much worse season than this but still made the needed comeback and even won the title by a big gap. Arsenal will need to watch out for this by continuing to be as consistent as possible.

Of course, Napoli have won so many big games so far. I just wanted to give it as an example for Roma. Because they needed different strategies against the most in-form team in the league. Mourinho needed to prefer a more attacking style rather than playing defensively. He just becomes so obstinate to make his players apply his usual strategies from the old times and this drags down Roma even more.

Mourinho isn't like a manager who would love to try new things very often. Therefore we will see what they will do from now on.

I can't imagine Zidane managing Manchester City honestly. It feels like it wouldn't be his style because Manchester City are playing a different game than the one Zidane is used to. The players are also fitting this game plan especially. Zidane was great with Real Madrid but his game plan and strategies were very different compared to Manchester City's style.

Therefore maybe he might not be a good choice for this team. I would rather see Arteta in case Guardiola leaves. Because Arteta was his assistant at Manchester City in the past. He wouldn't have big problems on adaptation.

Roma are the same team as the one in the previous season. Mourinho's arrival still hasn't changed too much in the Serie A especially. They were really successful in the Conference League but they just can't make a big improvement in the Serie A. They actually had a good start but they started a bad form not much time later.

Roma should play more ambitiously especially in big games. They haven't been much successful in such games so far. For example they were really weak against Napoli despite playing a home game. Mourinho made the team play too cautiously and this brought their end. I hope we can see some changes when the league games are back.

I assume Ronaldo would be ready to take a significant pay cut. Because he is ready to sign for a team playing in the Champions League and leave Manchester United immediately. However we still don't know anything about what Real Madrid think about this. Maybe they really don't think of making a signing like you said.

About Bayern Munich, I don't know. Maybe they won't rush for signing a centre-forward in January while they are doing well. Choupo-Moting is doing quite nice there and they might want to wait for the end of the season to make a signing.

It will be quite difficult for Arsenal to stay solid in the rest of the season while Manchester City are close to them. This is like the first season for Arsenal that they play this much dedicatedly for the league title after a long break. It has been a very long time since they last won this title as well. The supporters must be waiting for the title this time definitely.

As Manchester City have a much more qualified squad they might still seem one step ahead. It is in Arsenal's hands to change this by being consistent in the rest of the games as well. Especially the big games will be very important.

I think the only team that might be able to catch up with Benfica is Porto now. Porto lost 5 points on the previous five weeks and this helped Benfica open the gap even more. One of these point losses was against Benfica actually. Benfica are very determined to win the title after a break of a few seasons.

They aren't this much good in the Liga Portugal only of course. Their Champions League performance has also been impressive. It looks like they can reach the quarter finals by eliminating Club Brugge as well. This season is going on way better for them as a result.

I wonder if Dortmund will have to deal with any offer for Bellingham in January such as a pre-agreement to complete the transfer in the summer. I assume that they wouldn't like to discuss any terms for now because they would like to see Bellingham continuing to focus on his game during the rest of the season.

But I really think Dortmund won't be able to keep him in the summer. Real Madrid and Liverpool already seem the most interested teams for him. I think he will go to one of these teams with a solid transfer fee.

Mane is of course a key player for Senegal. They felt his absence very much against Netherlands. Senegal still found many goal chances but they were just the victim of their clumsiness eventually. Netherlands had a really big problem on getting ahead most of the time. But after breaking the deadlock they finished the job my making it 2-0 in the stoppage time.

Netherlands made me doubt their performance in the World Cup later on after seeing this but maybe it is still early to think like that. They shouldn't have any problem against Qatar but I really wonder what they will do against Ecuador. Maybe this might be another tough game.

Ronaldo hasn't played properly in the English Premier League for a long time. He had chances in the Europa League but it wasn't enough for him. In this situation I don't know how much he can be helpful for Real Madrid in case of a transfer for real in January. Real Madrid might want to think about such transfer seriously depending on Benzema's condition indeed. But it doesn't seem like Benzema's return will take too long.

Ronaldo had really good memories with Real Madrid but if Benzema gets well then I won't be expecting a move for Ronaldo.

Barcelona can actually win the Europa League title as long as they play like they do in the La Liga. They just need money from as many places as possible to fix their finances more. After the last transfers they are in a troubling condition about financial fair-play. Maybe the revenues aren't the same as the Champions League but they can still make a nice amount of extra money in the Europa League.

Their performance against Manchester United will be the decider about what they can do. They need to get over a big obstacle first to eliminate one of the closest title favourites.

It is nearly time for England to show their real quality in the World Cup. Their first game is a very comfortable one against Iran. We should be seeing England players crushing them and getting an easy win. England have the potential to fight for even the title actually but it is up to how ambitious they will be.

They weren't impressive in the UEFA Nations League but I still saw it normal. Because England didn't care about that tournament at all. They saw it like a warm-up tournament for the World Cup. It is time to show their capabilities. Especially the attacking line is incredibly strong so I expect games with many goals from them.

PSG are in the same situation with Manchester City now. They both have had really strong squads for years but none of them has reached any Champions League title anyway. This season is another opportunity for both of them as usual. But Manchester City are a few steps ahead of PSG now I'm afraid. It feels like PSG's hands will be empty once again. Maybe they can reach the finale this time and it would be nice to watch a PSG - Manchester City finale as well.

However I think it is time for Manchester City to put an end to the having no title situation. In case PSG fail we will see if they will try to change something. Especially if they are eliminated by Bayern Munich right away then they will definitely need some important changes to be more successful.

I think Manchester United won't be comfortable at all about even finishing at the fourth position in the standings. Because they have really tough opponents fighting for top 4 right now. Newcastle are already like they will be able to finish in this area. Let's say that they finished at the 3rd position then there will be one spot left there.

For that spot, I think of Tottenham or Liverpool instead of the Red Devils. Because Manchester United seem like the rest of the season will go on inconsistently for them. Liverpool have also been in trouble so far but I believe that Klopp will find a way to fix things. Tottenham have lost important points in some big games but I expect the same from Conte just as I mentioned Klopp.

As I said before they need to be more competitive against a team like Napoli. There was even a game between them this season but Milan lost the game in San Siro. Napoli are like they have proven how serious they are for the league title in every way. They have defeated so many big teams in the league so far.

Against a solid team like this Milan have a really difficult job to do. It is like they must continue with minimum point losses from now on to have a chance to catch up with Napoli. By the way Juventus are also right behind Milan by only two points. Milan had better focus on not losing their current position first.

It was a nice opening game in the World Cup. Ecuador were highly favoured for the win. They kept the game under control most of the time and got a deserved 2-0 win at the end. E. Valencia was really impressive by scoring two goals. He had a goal disallowed by VAR due to offside as well. Maybe he could have even made a hat-trick if he wasn't replaced by another player in the 77th minute.

Senegal - Netherlands could be an interesting game tomorrow. Netherlands are very highly favoured maybe but who knows maybe Senegal might show a decent performance anyway.
