3701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL ADDED] Boxing: Saturday 1st May 2021 - Derek Chisora versus Joseph Parker on: May 01, 2021, 11:13:53 AM
Derek Chisora is way past his prime in my opinion, so I will go with Joseph Parker here.

And obviously the odds tells us the Joseph Parker is the favourite here. Derek Chisora might be good in the first couple of rounds, but after that he will gas out and probably Parker might go with a knock out here. I will say that this fight might not last for ten rounds.
3702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 01, 2021, 09:33:24 AM
We are now on Madrid Open, Nadal is the top seed.

Unfortunately, Djokovic has to withdraw because of 'family issues;. Nadal is the same bracket as Sinner, in 3rd round, or Zverev in QF or Thiem, so this is interesting if they are going to face each other. While Medvedev have Tsitsipas.

Portland as expected blasted the Nets without Durant, it was only Irving to carry the team but it was not enough for them.

Nice pick @stadus

Nice win by Sacramento Kings, got lucky to bet during live game and put money on them.  Grin
3704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: taking profit can be hard sometimes. on: April 30, 2021, 10:55:02 AM
It is said that it is hard to part with winners. Many people re-balance their portfolio from time to time and that usually means that you would need to sell those assets that have made you good profit versus those that have not. Is like weeding out the loosers as opposed to weeding out the loosers.

Anyway, the best way is to set a target price o several targets to reduce your position automatically or else you will always face hard decissions.

That's why we have the entry and exit strategy, so that you will not doubt yourself on taking profits because you have set it already. Otherwise, you will keep on asking yourself whether to take profits or not. Until such time that you may have missed it for reasons like the price goes down hard and then you are trap for a long time.

So in order to be successful here, you should have an exit plan as well. You sell, you take profits and then not look back at it so that you won't have any regrets.
3705  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Ray Dalio predicting bitcoin to be outlawed on: April 30, 2021, 09:21:05 AM
Bitcoin is getting the adoption already, big companies such as Tesla have invested already, so how will the government outlawed it when one of the biggest is on the bandwagon? This is just pure speculation and I don't think it will have enough weight.

Doesn't make sense for government to ban or outlaw it, on the contrary they should adopt and embrace it because it could be a win win situation. They could tax it though, but that's it.
3706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tokyo-Based Game Maker Nexon Purchased $100M in Bitcoin on: April 30, 2021, 08:20:36 AM
Did they buy $100m worth of Bitcoin just for hold or they simply plan to attract more attention to their company? If they are Asian game company, and everybody knows how players from Asia like grind-like-games, I think it was not just a purchase. They will produce an NFT base games or something of that kind.

Probably, so there's a lot of window for them for purchasing bitcoin. So it's a good decision as it could be a win win situation. If bitcoin goes up, so is their reserve assets, if bitcoiners found out about their investments, maybe they are also going to invest on their company. And then we have the world of NFT which they can take advantage as well.

So it's a well thought process by the company, specially that they mentioned that they are in for the long run. So they might have set the precedence in Japan and other tech companies might follow their footsteps.
3707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Manny Pacquiao vs Mikey Garcia in Dubai on July 2021? on: April 30, 2021, 07:55:17 AM

I also hope a fight deal will finally be sealed soon. Manny has been inactive for almost 2 years already. If this Pacquiao-Garcia talks will not produce an agreement, it will be another round of negotiation with another fighter. It will again take months before something is finalized.

Time is not on Manny's favor. If he really wants to make another fight, he should try to hurry up a little. He's not getting younger anymore. His team should just settle with Garcia. Make this fight happen. Garcia is a fair match with Pacquiao.

Time is not on Pacquiao's side right now two years and with a very busy position, it will take a toil to Pacquiao and anyone, if the fight will not push through today, next year there is no way that Pacquiao can fight because it's going to be a busy year for him, but who knows next year he will run for election and he will fight also, and he wins both that will be a big milestone for Pacquiao.

Manny might be inactive for almost 2 years, but we all know for sure that he takes care of his health when he is not boxing and probably taking on basketball to keep him fit. Of course, it's a different ball game when he has a scheduled fight, but at least keeping his body fit everyday is a good thing and that it will help him a lot when he is going to fight, like in this case against Mikey Garcia.

So it's no biggie if he is out in 2 years, he already proven himself that he can still train and bang with the young guys trying to get his belt. So this is still doable for Manny and then after the fight goes back to his political career/ambitions.
3708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 30, 2021, 01:55:08 AM
Kevin Durant having a big game against the Pacers with 42 points.

He carried the team on this backs, there where times that the Pacers will come back and close the gap, but Durant hitting big and putting the dagger. They won without Irving and Harden. Winning 4 right now and keeping their lead on the East against the Sixers.
3709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 29, 2021, 08:33:28 PM
How about Aslan Karatsev?

I think he already made a breakout run this year, reaching as high as SF in Australian Open, beating Schwartzman, Félix Auger-Aliassime and Dimitrov.

Winning doubles with Rublev in Qatar Open. And then the singles in Dubai last month, beating Sonego, Rublev himself and then Sinner.

Won against Djokovic in his hometown in Serbia this month, but lost to Berettini in the finals. So I would say that he has also a bright future, although not that young at 27 years old, but he is peaking at the right now and can content in future grand slams.
27 years old is kinda late for him, i wonder why he didn't show up till now, i have never heard of him before untill this year, maybe it's not too late for him but the competition is really hard right now with Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Thiem and of course Nadal and Djokovic and maybe Federer, it won't be easy for him to win a big title, and to be honest i don't think he can.

I agree, his kinda late on the fun, although he can still compete at high levels and give everyone a run for their money. He already beat the number one seed, so he still has what we can call a giant killer. And he can put a big test on the young players, specially Tsitsipas and Thiem as he seems to be a clay court specialist to me. And he could pull some upsets from time to time.

Exactly, Karatsev may have a break out year, but he needs to be very consistent, so we don't know if he can continue next year.

So still boils down to Sinner, Tsitsipas, Thiem and Medvedev to carry the legacy of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic. And besides, since Djokovic is the younger and the fresher amongst the 3, they will have to fight him often, so still a hard task for the next generation.
3710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 29, 2021, 01:03:37 PM
Man, they are looking good and Suns management better keep this roster intact even if they lose in the playoffs.

They should, Suns being the number 2 team now and could end with a number 1 spot is already a big achievement even if they will not make it in the 2nd round.

West is full of good teams, it's hard to predict as even the Lakers who are currently the favorites is not guaranteed they'll get the back to back championship, the real battle is in the West IMO, so winning in the West is like having an easy series in the NBA Finals.. however, hopefully, it will be different this time as we have the Nets who are currently been hype to get a good chance to win the NBA Finals.

Yeah, I think they will and probably will upgrade the team if they see fitted.

It's hard to beat the Suns, and I think the problem is that teams have overlooked them. But they play really hard, day in day out that's why they are in the second spot and probably be going for the number 1 in the West. So I'm expecting them to play good whoever they faces in the first round.
3711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 29, 2021, 12:20:07 PM
Unfortunately, I have Denver Nuggets to cover the spread -4.5, was close but not enough.

Pelicans really give a good and hard fight to the Denver team. Nuggets has a good lead, but not enough to sustain. Although I've won on the Knicks and Wizards, I could have make it perfect if not for the Nuggets lost.

That was a bad loss, Pelicans loss but they covered. I also took that odds as I was thinking Nuggets will dominate like they usually do, but I was wrong, Pelicans are also playing desperate basketball as they want to have a chance in the elimination, just a bad beat but nothing to do, it's part of the game.

Oh well, we are looking for better odds, and it seems that -4.5 can be covered by Denver since they have been winning with good leads, enough to cover the odds. Actually in this game, they have a good lead and not going below 5 points.

But yeah, desperate teams like NOP will do everything to win a game. So they close the gap, unfortunately the spread was not covered.
3712  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mixers under the threat? on: April 28, 2021, 11:09:06 AM
Mixers have been under threat since 2017, either they are being pressured to shut down their services or government agencies criminalising them, so this is no surprise specially coming from the US.

So this has set a precedence already way back, so it's just a question on what tumbling services will be the next target. And since bitcoin is on a bull run, US government is stepping up against bitcoin mixing service again.

First Bitcoin “Mixer” Penalized by FinCEN for Violating Anti-Money Laundering Laws.
3713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Manny Pacquiao vs Mikey Garcia in Dubai on July 2021? on: April 28, 2021, 10:38:38 AM
I have not seen this being reported by more mainstream news outlets but it very well could be true. Mikey Garcia was the most obvious choice if the fight with Crawford could not be made.

Yeah, Mikey Garcia's name has been floating for sometime now that Manny will fight. And I think this news has more weight than the Crawford fight. Because if Pacquiao vs Crawford would have to happen, we should have heard a lot of noise already, sadly there's no news outlet at least reporting a positive article about it.

Less money for Pacquiao, but less risk as well. Mikey is also a good gauge for Manny if he still can pull that trigger as Mikey can fight back and he is a good underdog.
3714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 28, 2021, 09:52:09 AM
I'm looking at the New York Knicks vs Bulls, I think Knicks will come back strong after their lost, line at -5.5 @1.95 is very attractive.

What do you think guys?

I've say go for it, yes the Knicks has lost, but the team has built a good chemistry already with Randall on top. And they have a good records against a non winning percentage team like the Bulls who is 26-35.

So that line is very attractive indeed, they might covered it plenty to spare.

Phoenix Suns vs LA Clippers is what interest me, I think this is a good matchup, 7-3 in their last 10 while Clippers is 8-10. Suns slight favourite, I think I'll go with Suns at -3.5.
3715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 28, 2021, 09:15:31 AM
I'm looking at GSW vs Dallas, I'm going on GSW here at (-4.5), if Curry exploded with 40++ points in this game I think they can covered the spread. Dallas is also on a back to back games, they've lost a tough one against the Kings last night.
Sadly, you lose this one bro.
I was also looking forward for the Warriors to win that game to be safer at the 8th spot.
Curry was doubled every time he handles the ball. He can't make that explosion he use to do whenever his running off the ball.
Dallas Mavericks also need that win after a bad loss against the Kings.
GSW won only with assists but had a very low percentage in shooting. They ended the 1st quarter with just 12 points and 29 at the half. That's the worse performance ever this season.

Yes, I wasn't able to watch the full games, just a glimpse of the 1st quarter wherein the Mavericks already built a huge lead that they didn't let go. And I was looking for Curry, but he can't even touch the ball in the 1st quarter alone so I said that it will be a very difficult task for the Warriors to overcome that huge lead and that's what happen here. Good bounce from Dallas after losing a game against the Kings.
3716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 26, 2021, 08:19:35 AM
Another good result for Sinner, remember guys he is only 19.
What do you think about him? Can he be the next top player? Can he reach the top 5 positions or even more?

Federer started to win slams at 22yo.

Of course, the kid has a good future ahead of him, 19 years old and yet reaching semis and finals and winning some along the way.

There's this Serbia Open that just concluded, Karatsev vs Berrettini. Karatsev again upset Djokovic to reach the finals, however, Berrettini really played superb in the finals specially in the last set, winning 1-6, 6-3, 6-7. I had my money on Karatsev, he was the early betting odds favourite, unfortunately he lost the match.

I had some doubts that the Celtics will cover that huge spread, but no way in hell i could see them losing by 21 points, Hornets won all four quarters. lol

By the way, these two teams could meet in the first round of the playoffs or the play-in, it won't be easy for the Celtics, as LaMelo is expected to return soon for CHA.

Anyway, decent week, can't really complain, i should be back around Tuesday with my picks, gl everyone!
Didn't expect that too. Celtics losing that bad just when they had a healthy roster.
This saved me though.

Now waiting for the Warriors to win the game to take a little profit. Very close game and I need -7.5 to win it. I may have took the bet too early.
There's still the fourth quarter though and I wish I could see a red hot Steph Curry to end it with a blowout game.

I have them at -6.5 and yet Golden State wasn't able to cover the spread for us. Steph has his usual 30+ points per games, but Barnes, Haliburton and Hield combined for 72 points to somewhat bring the game very close.

And another bad luck for me as my parlay was affected by the Bucks lost, last time it was the Utah that derailed everything on my end.
3718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 25, 2021, 06:48:38 AM
What a harsh defeat for 76ers but without Embiid it was something to expect from this game especially that Giannis had a great game with more than 25 points. Regarding Lakers , don't worry as this team will reach the finals in a way or another but I still have big doubts that they can win it again just because Nets is looking way more solid than them.

It was expected for Giannis to take advantage of the Sixers without Joel Embiid.

I think the Sixers really try to make the game close up to the 3rd quarter when the Bucks really put the gas on the pedal, like 20++ runs.

Everyone is happy again riding New Yorks incredible run, Randall is really playing solid and leading the team. Rose did great, that cross over on Siakal reminds us on how Rose was during his prime years at Chicago Bulls, sick handles and ankle breaker.
3719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna WBC interim lightweight Title on: April 25, 2021, 03:56:20 AM
And I would say that probably in the young life of Garcia, he doesn't know how to deal with this big pressures in his life.

Success comes to early in his life and the pressure is just mounting he really needs to take a break and needs a professional help to help him go through this important phase in his life, Garcia can take this he needs a personal coach that will make him more realistic in his goal, imagine at a very young age he has a lot of goals some of them are hard to attain.

Yeah, this could be the main reason why we are all surprise to see a young and successful Garcia having this kind of mental issues. I guess this is the perks of being famous and then you can't cope with your successes that you will anxious all the time and as if someone is trying to control your life.

Wish him the best though, and hope that we will see him back fighting again.

So we don't know if the promoters are going to find a replacement so that Fortuna can still continue and fight this July.
3720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 25, 2021, 03:34:18 AM
I got a good win ML on the underdog San Antonio Spurs:

I expected that NOP are going to fall short against a good team and that's what happen. Good win for the New York Knicks again, they are not the hottest team and for sure everyone what's a crack at team and stop that winning streak.

Too bad that Utah Jazz will lost against the struggling T'wolves. I had a parlay and just waiting for the Jazz to win to complete my multi-bet, unfortunately, they went cold in the 3rd quarter and T'wolves takes advantage of it and pull a good lead. Although Jazz come back and take a one point lead, after that T'wolves scores the last 6.
