3721  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How many people exist today that fully understand the Bitcoin protocol? on: January 25, 2017, 06:01:56 AM
This is a tiny sample, but the under 250's edged it out on Twitter!

https://twitter.com/realmicroguy/status/822286827881164801

Sometimes when I read comments from various industry "experts" it makes me wonder how many people in the world truly understand the bitcoin protocol on an intimate level.

I mean fully know it inside and out. What do you think?

I think you should increase your questionnaire intervals a little more. I think it's between 7000 and 8000. Even the people working in IT sector do not know exactly. There are those who do not even hear the name bitcoin from those who have professional software development. A high level of technical knowledge is required to understand the protocol in real terms.

Thank you for your suggestion. I can't edit this poll now but will keep your feedback in mind.

I am actually quite shocked, that it could be as low as two hundred people. Especially considering that bitcoin always had better than average share of informative technology savvy participants. Many of its users are working in technology sector as programmers.

Could it be likely? Did Satoshi really build that insanely complex and incomprehensible network, that even majority of other people from the field couldnt grasp it?

Maybe. Bitcoin technology won't matter anymore for someone who just want to earn through trading. People as a matter of fact still supports a coin that violates the immutability of its blockchain. I don't fully understood the rest of those terms being used here I admit that but I'm really trying to get into its details that I wanted to mine coins myself.
3722  Economy / Speculation / Re: The only way to get rich is by riding the next big alt pump on: January 25, 2017, 05:49:58 AM
If you can afford to buy 200K of the existing ICOs today, you will be a whale. If their price is just low, its going to be a big profit for an investors.
Chronobank project is looking good but it ain't cheap. Each TIME token cost 0.01 btc so you will need to have about 1000 BTC to be a whale, but seeing they only got 3100BTC, investors didn't put much money to it. This alt could be the next big ride we waiting.
3723  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: January 24, 2017, 08:38:41 PM
Its really hard to generate income without doing anything and that is not possible in real world, investments are risky and may fail in long run so the best thing would be to invest it somewhere where you can have total control on your funds and gives you a power to take right decision at a right time.

Its hard to earn even if you work harder, it should be near impossible to earn passive income without doing nothing. Even those who own a company needs to do something to make it work. The only way you can make it without doing something is to invest on stock exchange that can send enough money as dividends to you every month. This will still need money - huge amount.

3724  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Internet Marketing on: January 24, 2017, 05:53:23 PM
Internet marketing in bitcoin is a good purpose in aiming profit but nowadays there were many scams that could lead you to loss of profit. There auto pop up adds which marketing will link you to their sites offering investments which is not reliable, and if bitcoin will adopt this kind if internet marketing I don't think that will bring good reputation to digital crypto currency.
I think that before reaching mass adoption, Bitcoin will have its network effect amplified by the action of users who truly believe in the tech, and these users are likely to convince others that Bitcoin is possibly able to make their lives easier and solve problems that exist in society.

This type of marketing, from user to user, is much more efficient than pop-ups or other inconvenient forms of internet advertising.

The problem with informing people about new technology is that they are too afraid to try and when money is involve, they always think bank are the safest place to deal with. These people depend their lives to what is being fed to them. Mentioning Bitcoin to them also arises suspicious due to the media informing them all these illegal stuff connected to BTC.

If it has to be massive, a press release has to put bitcoin on the spot light that helps for the good of all like funding for HIV awareness and all the noble cause.
3725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting porn sites to accept bitcoin on: January 24, 2017, 05:33:03 PM
Porn sites should also be accepting btc and other altcoins after all these can be traded into fiat. The webmasters should be informed about all these so they can integrate on their websites.

So people who have been use it for illegal needs use it as an source for their entertainment as it is highly anonymous and very few websites are providing the same service with reveal of identity.

What a Big secret, that someone check the boobs of models. Fuc#ing Hell.

It may not be an issue in your country. But in conservative societies, if the identities of the users are revealed, then it may land them in big trouble. Even in some regions of the United States (Utah, Idaho.etc), if the society finds out that you were surfing porn, you may face harassment and probably a divorce notice from your spouse.

Can you tell us why, I'm not from US and i though people there don't care about men watching porn. But  they are scary states to stay for someone who are fond of watching Fuck A Fan series and get caught.  This is why they should be using bitcoin or xmr for that matter.

3726  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: January 24, 2017, 01:48:25 PM
Buying bitcoins on a low price is a passive income, at least for me. Say, if you bought at $200 and right now it's currently sitting at $400, haven't you profited off of it?
What if the price of your Bitcoin never rose beyond $200 or even took a dive to less than $100, would you perhaps say, "I have made a negative passive income"  The scenario you cited above is nothing but mere trading and miles away from being a passive income. Do you notice you must have to perform another task - placing another trade for another profit making opportunity to ever be possible?  Passive income actually works like machine, set like once and forget.
Honestly its not a passive income we can not called it passive income because you are just waiting for the price increase to get profit.. that actually there is no assurance that the price kind be jump high.. almost all are depends in demand and supply.
The passive income that i think we can call if you have a stable job.. not contract job.. this is i think we can say passive income because monthly you can get your salary..

Passive income means money flowing that you don't get to work hard for it. If for instance you get to earn few bucks by uploading the pictures on deviantart.com, then that's a passive income -- something that you don't sweat.  Anything that you like doing and yet you get to earn like uploading youtube videos. The last part is hard to achieve though, getting much subscriber and making a channel famous isn't easy. But there are people lucky enough to have done it.

3727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the Best & Cheap Businesses to start with bitcoin online on: January 24, 2017, 01:20:25 PM
it is very difficult to start bussiness with 0.2 btc but if i may to suggest that you could build your service at exchange board and offering exchange altcoins to bitcoin or bitcoin to other payment prossesor such as webmoney or perfectmoney with small fees indeed the profit will pretty low but if you're trustable exchange service i think people will starting to pay attention for your bussiness

I think that's a great idea but i has a drawback of less customers.
Also i didn't said that i want to open a business on this forum only.

After thinking for a few hours and playing League of legends Cheesy i found that actually i can open a channel and ask people to record funny moments for me on the league of legends and i will pay them accordingly
I know in starting my channel will suck but i think if i keep uploading quality stuff then i might get a bunch of subscribers and my adsense ads on it will boost the income.

Hey i think that is a very good idea, it is an unique idea and it doesn't cost too much to start, and then I heard some of the people make real money only from youtube and uploading video, but of course you need time to attract a lot of viewers and subcribers, and I think the other best business to start with that kind of money, is service, help people to find ebook or design a web site or find things that somebody want, if your popularity is already good you can make a decent money from it

OP I think needs a good business to profit as quick as possible. If he takes that route, compete the rest of the programmers with portfolios in creating websites which reputation also take time to build. The rest of php programmers/html developers are on upwork and other job sites hunting business that needs good quality services. If OP has this skills, he wouldn't be asking which business to try.

The easiest route for you is to start a lending business which needs no skills. The only that you need to do is lower your repay percentage to compete those lenders.
3728  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me a secret: any way to earn 0.1 BTC per week? on: January 24, 2017, 09:05:29 AM
I would like to know if anyone of you earns 0.1 BTC per week or even more? Is this possible and what is best way to earn it? Your experiences, suggestions and advices are very welcomed.
There are lot of things to do to earn that find a fixed job and make this signature campaign as one of your other income. If you want to earn thru bitcoin then invest in trading and play with it every week, make a good strategy for you to earn bitcoin. Also, a lot of here are searching for web developing, etc even comment in a blog then just try it.

Not easy to learn trading, its more easy to just wait for some coins that are being pumped. Investing is much easy for anyone to learn, all an investor would need to learn is to see how interesting the project and the how the team is doing to make it through their roadmap. There are a lot of ICO coming in the months and if OP wants to earn more than 0.1 btc, he'd be better reading all those ICO on alternative currencies.
I red and heard that also about ICO come back and am one of those excited for it. Trading is not that easy to do, so I'd rather go for buying low price coin and hold too, because it is so easy no need to monitor every now and then and you can use your time to do any activities to earn aside from bitcoin if you wish to.

Its not about buying low value coin, its the future of the coin or token that matters. If you intend to buy a coin make sure there is a future plan that the developer had laid for his investors. Like you said you want to hold it for maybe months or even years, this has to be a coin of use not a shitcoin created without purpose.  A platform token is a better token because once day they are sure to have good value such as waves and lisk.
3729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the Best & Cheap Businesses to start with bitcoin online on: January 24, 2017, 08:50:22 AM
There are still that you can do to grow that 0.2 btc of yours. Its still as risky as like any business. HAve you seen someone lending btc to users here in the forum?
You can also try that some of the users are asking 0.05 for a loan and you can ask for 0.055 in return, that's lower than the rest who provides loads.

You need to learn how they do it though and choose who and which user can take a loan, make sure their collateral is enough to compensate yourself if they defaulted.
3730  Economy / Services / Re: Social Media Shop - Followers,Likes,Views- / Giveaway inside on: January 23, 2017, 03:32:51 PM
They are not real people.

That's not good. Fake profile will hurt their profiles particularly twitter because campaign managers require twitter account to pass 90% on twitter audit.  Its becoming easy to develop twitter accounts in the crypto world because users are always following back when they see you are also into bitcoin.  I use to have just few followers but after I followed several bitcoin profiles, they follow me back. The rest of them also PMed me something, although I did give attention to those messages I can confirm they are real people.

Right now I have 700 followers.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts everyone... Smiley
keep giving me ideas and I will do my best to make it famous... Grin

Have you already tried paying users to post on your forum?
I think there will be users posting there even if you just pay about 15k sats per posts. If you want some quality posts from new comers in the crypto, try this site. contentgather.com they can provide forum posters. Webmasters who are creating their own forum are using their services to have contents on their websites.

Contents are very important for websites, its what google gather in order to serve who ever searches the net for information.
3732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: January 23, 2017, 02:22:08 PM
I think it is difficult and near impossible, when people talk cryptocurrency, then they will know bitcoin. I also know that there are many altcoin the technology side is better than bitcoin, but because bitcoin is first then it will not be replaced.
I do think it's difficult for any cryptocurrencies to take over the place of bitcoin but I don't assume that this is impossible. And there are literally nothing predictable in this crypto world, especially when it comes to bitcoin. It's not gonna happen now for sure, but after a few years or even decades, things won't be the same anymore and so does bitcoin.
i agree its not impossible as long as people continue with the habbit of dumping coins for a profit the are slowly killing bitcoins.
To make matters worse if bitcoin gets to be regulated like wherechina is heading we might shift to another crypto in no time

Didn't know China is regulating bitcoin. Its effect might just be different to some other countries because it means that the Chinese government will not be collecting taxes from BTC companies. BTC is accepted already so this can be the beginning of some other countries to regular it too. I thinks Switzerland is also regulating bitcoin.

It will be promoted to commoners in their country too. The more audience the more bitcoin investors and will result to better price.
3733  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OMG I think Pulithey1986 scammed me!! on: January 23, 2017, 09:43:36 AM
If you guys look at my post history I asked for someone to do an exchange with me I send my upwork freelance funds directly to the person in exchange for bitcoin.

Pulithey1986 was on time to receive bitcoin but when he received he went offline on ICQ.

I messaged him a million times I also left him a PM on here. he come oneline since that time and did not even answer my PM

I went to check his trust again and it says: This user's email address was changed recently.

I think me might have scammed a big one before he left. he got away with 417$ of my paypal.

I hope this is not true but all these events seem to look like I've been scammed. since it's my upwork and I have his name I think I can notify authorities. but I don't think I can recover my funds.

How did you ever send your upwork funds directly to this person? Do you mean you changed your upwork email account using his (Pulithey1986) to send to him?
I'm from upwork too so I know how this all work. You can't send your upwork funds to someone else unless the email used in the account is also the PayPal id.

Anyway, if you've sent your money through PayPal, you can try to file a dispute to get your money back.
3734  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: January 23, 2017, 08:09:07 AM
What are the things to do to succeed in trade? What are you doing to make your business bigger?
How can we make more money?

If you are in bitcoin world, the things that I saw for us to earn money here first is by doing Trade in the exchange site, then Buy altcoins in the potential ICO, and last participate in the signature campaign that has a promising project.

Joining ICO's are also a good way to make more money in bitcoin. But you need to do some research first because there are ICO's that are not certain with their road map that leads them to scam their investors. And it is very important to know what is the plan of its developers if they have their own mileage for developing that coin and ICO.

It does work charm that investors can earn bucks every ICO back when developer team release their coin right after the ICO. It doesn't work that way this time around.  I joined the ICO with DECENT and ARK. Weeks after the ICO ended, our investment still weren't released. Its like they know, investors are only there to dump there tokens lol.

Its best if you just stick to trading altcoins to earn. Wait for the released token to drop and then buy before it goes up again. ITs not as easy as before but that's how I earn nowaways.
3735  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes in trading that lead to loss of money on: January 23, 2017, 07:49:34 AM
I've lost a good sum with panic selling and panic buying, really newbie mistakes, and looking back I actually did good choices when selling...

I've also lost by not doing proper research before invest, although very small sum.

Same thing happen to me, i bought about 70+ ETH when it was yet 0.009 btc I was thinking it will be going back to 0.01 before the week ends but it soon go down to 0.008. I check its thread and someone fud around, I panic and sold it.  Later did I know its price goes back to 0.011.  I was affected by how fast it plummet down to 0.008. I realize it too late that the reason why I invested to it is because I know its always going to rise again due to the new tokens of ETH.
3736  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: January 23, 2017, 07:29:57 AM
I love investing bitcoins while its on low price but if its higher than $700 i dont want to spend that kind of money to bitcoin im still waiting till bitcoin dumped up to $500or$600 so i could buy a lot and double it when this year ends.

That won't happen by now. Bitcoin price is almost stable and continue to be valuable rise.  If I just have the money to buy more bitcoin, I'd be buying hundreds of it instead of banking it. Bank interest is nothing compare to what we get when its going to pump once again. Unfortunately I have nothing to buy btc.

For someone like me that has nothing is to just work for bitcoin, it still sort of an investment even if we only get fraction of btc every week. But instead of keeping it as BTC, iI buy mine with altcoins such as SDC and ETH.
3737  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which smartphone do you use and why? on: January 23, 2017, 07:21:28 AM
for smartphones, I use the Samsung Galaxy Note5.
for Samsung Galaxy Note5 comes with a screen Super AMOLED touch screen technology with the measurement of 5.7-inch Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels with a pixel density of up to 518 ppi.
for the engine, the Galaxy Note 5 equipped with a processor Exynos 7420 octa-core (2.1 GHz quad + 1.5 GHz quad) 64-bit supported RAM capacity of 4 GB. This combination makes the Galaxy Note 5 may be one of the most powerful Android smartphone in the kitchen sector runway. The operating system uses Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with the latest TouchWiz user interface.
For its internal memory, users can choose the internal memory of 32 GB and 64 GB. As leaked ago, Galaxy Note 5, Samsung does not equip Note 5 to the microSD slot, exactly the same as the Galaxy S6.
this phone is very helpful my activities.
Since Samsung mobile phone to send explosive news, I do not have a Samsung phone. Even now Samsung apologized to the majority of consumer groups can not restore his credibility.

I'm using and old Samsung Android phone still. I like it because I can download apps directly from google play, apps from google play are unlimited so thereare lots of option to choose from. Istore doesn't have much there. Galaxy note 3 is also prefect for browsing webpages, I sometimes use it browsing bitcointalk.

If I will replace this old samsung of mine, I will still be choosing another SamsungAndroid phone because I'm just used to it. The price of iphone is very expensive than this one.
3738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In a Bitcoin Disaster where would you move your Money? on: January 22, 2017, 07:41:35 PM

I will move my btc to ETH as I always did in the past.  I have been moving the rest of my bitcoin to some coins like XMR when seeing the price continues to grow that its going to crumble when its almost over bought, its then time to move to ETH or XMR. Its going to hit two birds in one stone. The two ETH and XMR drops a bit when btc price rise and if these altcoins price are up once again. This will mean you gain every inflation.
3739  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How many people exist today that fully understand the Bitcoin protocol? on: January 22, 2017, 06:00:27 PM
Sometimes when I read comments from various industry "experts" it makes me wonder how many people in the world truly understand the bitcoin protocol on an intimate level.

I mean fully know it inside and out. What do you think?

Where are a lot of people who knew bitcoin very well because the information about it is just on their website. Intimate level like they know the protocol however is the question because for all I  know those info are just for the developers of altcoins but for us traders we probably just knew those chains as ledger of all transactions and fees for miners and so on. Things are different nowadays because of the assets on the platforms though.
3740  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you manage ur emotions? on: January 22, 2017, 03:58:52 PM
Greetings!

While trading sometimes I drop back from my original plan. Such emotional decisions often bring loss cuz I tend to change orders on panic or when I mistakenly expect more potential income. How do you deal with that if you feel the same way?

Its the same thing as gambling, emotions are big part of it and when in time you haste on your bet or simple make a hero call without analyzing what you just did or not even understanding why you did the hero call, its likely you lose.

I'm not a trading expert but its always a good thing to have confidence to the coin you are trading, if you knew this coin is going to rise, why get out of it when its value drop. All it need is time and it can climb up.
