For the few exchanges I have used and traded, I have always observed on the simplicity and ease of deposit and withdrawal and the cost of transaction fees as well. I prefer Bittrex and Coinexchange. They are two great exchange that are very much user-friendly and doesn't require much set up to start trading.
They are good exchanges but my top priority is etherdelta because it is easy to use ans having a small fee. But the disadvantage of this is some of coins is not listed in ED. So bittrex and coinexchange are there incase of any circumstances like that. |

So I made a prediction on Litecoin a few days ago that sparked a lot of conversation on the thread. It was very interesting reading the different thought processes and predictions. So I decided to do the same for Ethereum, however, I think that Ethereum has a chance to go beyond the 2-5k threshold in 2018, if only they would market a bit better. I believe that they need to get these new "coinbase noobies" to understand what Ethereum is and why it's significant if they want to stand a chance of getting above that threshold in 2018. There are so many coins, but many of them just a copy of anothers. Why they waste their time for nothing?  Because they have different aspects and different goals. We all know that altcoin will help our society for its projects. They create their own token/coin for their specific category. I have $5.000 to invest in altcoins. Should I buy directly in ICO sales or in Exchanges ? I'm seeing some altcoins in exchanges with lower prices than the ICO. For instance: buying OMG in an exchange of APPC ( https://appcoins.io) on the ICO sale that opens in Wednesday ? Definitely in exchanges for you have assurance on buying that coin because you know that it will might pump up. Buying in ICO sales dont have any assurance that you'll have a great profit. Sometimes its true but it is too risky for you as an investor. |

Having trouble deciding if I should sell or hold IOTA. I have 600 shares that I bought a couple days ago at $1.55 and another 390 shares I bought at $2.78. IOTA is now trading at $3.93.
Upward trend going to continue or is this simply a pump and dump?
It is better to hold because 2018 is the year of crypto and it might have a chance rise up until the planet mars. It is a good project for everyone for having a goos sysytem. Holding is the best option for you. |

My opinion is that the CryptoKittie craze has been very good for Ethereum. I've seen comments that the Ethereum network can't handle a large number of transactions but this is patently untrue.
Prior to the cats being let out of the bag, in one day about 10 days ago now, Ethereum processed over 500,000 transactions, more than half of ALL cryptocurrency transactions and the vast majority of those were at approx 12 seconds and for a very low gas price.
Since then, the number of transactions per day has been increasing up to almost 800,000, even with kitties and dwarfing transactions by all other currencies combined!
Yes, transaction times have increased as has the price of gas (which is extremely frustrating), but this is due to scaling which will be sorted out in due course with solutions coming on board, in fact some are already on the mainnet.
We have Plasma, Raiden and in particular, Sharding, to look forward to which will not only bring transaction times back down again, but also GAS fees.
The crypto world has never seen the like of kitties before and even CryptoKitties themselves never expected such a reaction to their project, it's unprecedented but actually works and is continuing to do so.
This can only bode well for the future as we are now aware of the issues at a very early stage in the Ethereum network development and development of solutions will now be at the forefront of developers minds.
Rather than be disheartened this is positive I believe.
I still support ethereum, i know that eth can handle this problem and this is a great opportunity for them to change and improve there system. I know that someday they can handle millions of transaction in a second. It is a great lesson for all of us and it shows how strong eth is. |

what is gas price?
it is the cost of the gas and that gas will use for the transaction in ethereum. You need it because if you dont have some or not willing to pay gas price/limit you'll transaction will not go through to ethereum blockchain which is very important where your transaction will be process. you'll mutiply gas price and gas limit and the product is the cost that you must pay in every transaction. For example you're gas price is 4 gwei and having a gas limit of 250000 therefore your fee is .001 eth. |

it is very good to use because you'll just import your ERC20 supported wallet. Then you can have a transaction now with only a short amount of eth like .001 having a 4 gwei gas price. There is so many trade-able and worthy prices in their because there are so many users of etherdelta and there are many coins that is listed in there. |
