3741  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: - One String - a novel bitfury miner design - on: December 19, 2013, 11:22:29 PM
So when, where and how much?

I would like to know that for the 5$/ bitfury chip, because if you are asking about boards, then find out that they don't sell boards. Only the design.
3742  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 19, 2013, 09:14:24 PM

I didn't checked any member that was pointed out by Puppet (except shill clenell right now). I just assumed he is right and you could've simply told me that you don't fall to that category. End of story. But you jumping like you did on Puppet seems really strange to me. Why didn't you replied to Puppet saying that he is wrong about you? Instead you attack him.

another super hero here to save the mindless idiots wanting to purchase from AMT? stfu roadstress if you have nothing intelligent to bring to the table.

Ok. Enjoy your 5% shill discount shill! And for your information i don't care about the hero status. What i care is my reputation and my credibility something which will bring me more than a 5% discount from a vaporware/crappy miner.

Except that he does. Registered December 10th, second post and all subsequent posts are defending AMT in this thread and the "scam list" thread (where AMT is also listed).

I wasnt wrong. As for the reason, seems pretty transparent:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=304605.msg3893935#msg3893935

For a 5% discount. Note the date of that post, december 9th. One day before our "friend" registered after googling "1200 GH/S bitcoin miner".

Im guessing few old members are willing to prostitute their reputation and credibility for a 5% discount, hence its likely several long time posters registered new accounts to defend AMT and collect their shill pay. With this policy AMT just achieved that pretty much NO post defending them or reporting successes is still credible, especially not from new members. Nice way to shoot themselves in the foot.

Of course you weren't wrong, but his reaction speaks for himself more than you do Smiley
3743  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 19, 2013, 07:22:10 PM

Yes. 1200 was the specific number because while surfing the intertubes I found that was about the capability that was within the budget I was willing to spend on a machine at this time. There were several contenders but after looking at the delivery dates, I chose AMT. You are assuming that my creation date here is the creation date for me to this planet. Now step away from the computer, go outside and get some fresh air and sunshine. It seems like you need it.

Now, are we here to mine coins or chase bigfoot?

I apologize to everyone else for feeding the troll.

If you and all the people that Puppet pointed out are here to mine coins why aren't you/they active in other topics too? I see a lot of people only interested in AMT and nobody else. Why?

First off... i think you are making another assumption (seems to be a lot of that here). I myself do post on other topics but no where near as much as i do on this one. Nevertheless, even if this was the only thread i posted on it would be because this is the only miner i am purchasing presently. honestly, i don't care about anything else other than my current $6,000 investment. is there another thread you think i should be paying attention to? i'm not quite sure where you are going with this.

That's not an assumption. Everyone can look at your posts and can see that around 80% of your posts if not more are in this thread. Why did you choose AMT to be your only investment? I saw one single post in the Bitmain thread, but their hardware that was shipping directly from stock didn't raised your interest. Why?

Well Mr Hero member you should check my other posts before you make such an uninformed statement. So much for post counts and board cred.

My only other post in this thread other than feeding the trolls was a post only stating my order number and date. It was only after the trolls started to feed that I made numerous post in this thread.

What a waste of time this forum is turning out to be. They should change the name to wackocointalk dot org

3744  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KNC Jupiter (almost) completely dead, help please? on: December 19, 2013, 06:02:14 PM
RMA accepted. The miner should be up and running again in a month.

Why a month? It took me less than one week to RMA one dead board starting with my first e-mail to them and ending with powering the board up.

After the last fire news i just double checked my Nov Jupiter cables and i have a question. Is it normal that the white PCIE plug from my Jupiter to be warm? I would say slightly a bit below normal warm, but warmer than the PSU PCIE plug/cables.

It is normal.

Good! Thank you.

Update regarding my RMA: First i tried to call them but got no answer, then i sent an email requesting for a RMA number, then tried to call them 2 more times at different hours and still no answer and lastly after 6 hours from my e-mail i got my RMA. Too bad it was late for UPS to pick it up and i have to wait until Monday.

Last update regarding my RMA: Sent the fried board on Monday, they received it and also sent me a good one on Tuesday and i got it today. Board is hashing nice, i'm very pleased with the whole experience. Thank you!
3749  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 17, 2013, 11:47:05 PM
Hmm, well, for the record BFL got away with it, HF will likely too. It takes a rare kind of breed to actually do something. HF just have to wait it out, meanwhile their "creative pickaxing" (to borrow a phrase from Death&Taxes) will have paid off.
No one really sued BFL, and our HF case is much stronger than BFL. We have proofs that they lied to us to sell an overpriced product. There is not even a lot to discuss about, what they did was illegal.

I was about to ask about BFL but didn't want to hijack the thread. This is amazing for me. After all the drama not one single person sued them? I just can't believe this. Maybe HF already knew this and they just took the same route.

That is certainly the impression I got after talking with John at the HF office back in October

HF: good hardware team, sleazy sales & marketing team.

What's funny is that they even look-a-like. InaTard and John(if john is the bluetooth guy)

I still wonder why wouldn't they post a picture of the chips before 5 December? Of course they were "missing" the substrate (clock buffers anyone?), but they could have post a picture in November or October with naked chips. I never saw such thing. So the only explanation that comes to my mind is that they already knew that they will have chips in hand in December and that's why they reserved some days at Ciara on 16 December.

 Love it.

It's offtopic, but i still would like to know how to send those kind of messages. Anyone share it with me?

On a side note cyberdoc pump the shit out of hashfast and he sold his pre orders...

Idiots are always out there and the only cure is to burn themselves.

Ken, since you already missed an announced deadline, we deserve to know when you expect it to be done.  "soon" can mean 5 years.

3755  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast launches sales of the Baby Jet on: December 17, 2013, 05:25:57 PM
Quote
They’ve started assembling Baby Jets (overnight tonight). They aim by night’s end to have the first round of assembly done for 400 Baby Jets.

They took the Baby Jets’ chassis’ out of their boxes and opened them up. Removed their drive bays and other unneeded components. Unboxed the Seasonic power supplies, attached and labeled their cables, and installed the supplies in the Baby Jets. Inserted the cooling unit and radiator. Added an additional chassis fan on the back of the box. Then screwed the chassis back together, put it back in its styrofoam packing material, and stacked each on pallets.
So, the bulk of this update is something that they could have done back in October.

Exactly what I was thinking. I suspect the "eagerness" of Caria is a euphemism for the fact Hashfast booked production lines at Ciara. And since HF arent ready yet, they just had Ciara do some silly things like unboxing and reboxing cases without PCBs. Not exactly the most efficient way to go about it.

Which also points to the fact that HF 100% absolutely knew they were not shipping until Dec.   They are using booked production time because it is use it or lose it.  They didn't use any booked production time in Oct or Nov.  Why?  Because there WAS NO BOOKED PRODUCTION TIME.  They knew they wouldn't even have raw chips when they promised delivery so who would be stupid enough to book production time.  Sure this busy work saves some time but not that much.  They didn't suddenly decide on Monday the 16th to start working on a whim.   They are working because the client (HF) is paying regardless of if they work or not.

HashFast always knew they were shipping Batch one late late late Dec and that wasn't a worst case scenario, it was the probable scenario.  Oct & Nov was simply a lie to charge more.  There are no Batch 1 customers, everyone is Batch 2 some just paid double for nothing.  Now HashFast has run into some real delays (not the "fake" delays which brought the false Oct expectations to the always internally known real Dec timeline) and that might end up causing them to miss even their real deadline.

Will you team with cedivad to sue them? Or maybe alone?
3756  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 17, 2013, 05:24:43 PM
Latest word was 5 days ago with "Running two of the four die in the chip." Any chance of seeing all 4 dies working this week?

I wonder if they will ship units with only 2 working dies only to avoid refunds.

Phoenix:

Not having a go here, I assure you. Just wondering, because I'd like to know where to rank what you say.

In the past, because I follow this board, I've seen your ... hundreds of posts.
Some have been helpful, and I found some, like I'm sure a lot here did - kind of hilarious, as we watched you stumble through trying to set up your first saturn and posting here every 10 minutes ... then, the more recent "humblebrags" that have served to make some people angry.

That said, some of you stuff has been genuinely helpful.

But, to my question:
Can you disclose the nature of your relationship with KNC please? Like, fully? ... ie: what discounts you may or may not have gotten, etc?

Again, not having a go at you .... just wondering what weight to put on what you say. And, I don't mean that negatively. Like, I envy your close relationship. Same as I envy bitcoinorama for stepping up like he did. He earned his rep here as a solid dude, and his position shouldn't be begrudged.

At any rate, genuinely curious, not trying to be a dick. Feel free to PM, if you'd rather do that.

- Canadian early Oct. Jup owner, for the record.
Tweak25....
Actually, I'm just a customer, and other than what I've mentioned in here.... there is noting else to connect me to KNC.

Tweak25 good point and well put.

Phoenix1969 kudos to you sir.

You refund in USD, you wait for the lawsuits to come, you pay for the lawyer, than, maybe, you refund in BTC.

right. i'm ready to get a lawyer. help from the community is very appreciated.

Where were you or what were you doing when cedivad created a separate topic for a lawsuit against HF?
3760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 17, 2013, 03:58:14 PM
I wonder what all those guys that paid for neptunes are thinking with the bitcoin price drop,is bitcoin really going back to $40.00 ?

Those of us that paid with BTC are smiling with huge smiles... I paid something like 9.5 BTC for my neptune.. which effectively means that I sold my BTC at the peak.  The price going down is great news.  Less incentive for other people to buy mining gear and start mining, we can get a refund (in USD) whenever we want, and our hurdle rate in BTC terms is very low.  What's not to love?

because the neptunes are going to use alot of WATTS, how will you cope with electricity bills if the BTC price is 40.00usd?

Another HF shill? Or just bad intended?
