Doubters will question the origin of these posts and blame it on a glitchy spinbot but for the rest of us...this is an eye-opening experience.
3742  Economy / Scam Accusations / StateStreete.us - fake CEO and team members! on: October 15, 2018, 03:20:08 PM
What happened: Fake CEO/team members

Reference Link: https://statestreete.us/

Announced by: SNZTOKENSUPPORT

ANN: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5047698.0

  • All members representing their team are fake. They didn't stop there as they have also created fake LinkedIn profiles and stole real people identities
  • The most disturbing thing is that they sell their token by using the name of a well-established 200 year-old company worth more than $ 2 trillion dollars - State Street Corporation / Bank. They have SSB logo on the bottom of their page, they have also stated that they are a "subsidiary company of a large financial corporation" which they are obviously not.
  • I will try to contact SSB and warn them that someone is trying to hijack their name to promote a $5 erc20 token.
  • To summarize: Lowbander80 & co with their weekly scam project. lol
  • Forgot to mention website is less than 2 weeks old.

It's very likely that you have been banned for plagiarism. Found a quote of yours that had been used multiple times by other users without stating the source.

Cannot say with 100% certainty that this is why you are banned, but all accounts who used it are now banned, they have also posted in the same thread.

You can do what TryNinja said and follow the link and see if you can recover yours.

Just don't get your hopes high, there are people waiting for more than a year now and still don't have access to their accounts whether it's been hacked or not.

I'd strongly advise you to check this guide out: [Guide] Bitcointalk account security
    3745  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Asacoin - FAKE TEAM / Stealing people's identity on: October 14, 2018, 05:50:21 PM
Hi ICOEthics, I really liked your work in the search for fake ICO teams and I would also like to know how to look for them, please tell me how you are looking for photos, how, I will be very grateful for your answer.

There's no secret, it's really quite simple and anybody can do it. Use one the major search engines like Google, Bing or Yandex. For example with http://imgops.com/ - you will access all the above mentioned websites and many others.

You can also use Amazon AWS for facial recognition. Check different stock photo repositories like: adobe stock, gettyimages, istockphoto...etc.

For a full ICO breakdown just search the forum, it takes less than a minute, there are many decent guides out there to help you find/identify scam projects.

    Yuwen Hongxin = Zou Yuting

Their whitepaper seems to be a complete ripoff from Urunit project:

    https://urunit.io/docs/whitepaper_eng.pdf

What do we have here: stolen identities, fake LinkedIn profiles, a fake partnership with companies like Steam / ShapeShift. Plagiarized whitepaper and a website that is less than 3 weeks old. Sure does fall into the very bad made scam category.  Grin

How can I create a self-moderate topic here?
    Thing is - you can't.

Yeah, I take my self-moderated topic proposal back. Scam Accusation, Investigations and Meta seem to be the only boards you can't make one and rightfully so.

Still, if you choose to go that route, there is another option on the table with Reputation (strangely enough you can self-moderate topics there  Roll Eyes)... but why?

3748  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Program for investigators] Check eth address connections between bounty users on: October 13, 2018, 02:08:10 PM
I think that a tool like this was much needed, anything that helps prevent scam/cheat or any kind of abuse gets my approval. I'm sure that bounty managers and those who like to catch alts will be very grateful for you did here, as it will definitely make their life easier by saving time and effort.

Good job again and congrats on the new rank.  Wink

    3749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 13, 2018, 01:29:06 PM
Now that the pre-season games are over and there is what...3 days left before the regular season. Here is an interesting article I came upon yesterday.

It is also Bitcoin related, seems like we have someone who is really into crypto - Spencer Dinwiddie.

Has Spencer Dinwiddie Got a Deal for You

I must admit, I was somewhat supersized to hear that a basketball player is so good with this stuff. The last time I read about crypto and basketball was when Sacramento and Dallas decided to accept bitcoin payments ... but that didn't go well.

Anyway, it's a good read, give it a go!

3751  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam Alert] Zircash running an ICO without a team info on: October 13, 2018, 11:08:54 AM
These people definitely deserve to be red tagged. There is a new ANN thread on the horizon and a new set of fake team members. Guess they don't give up that easily.  Grin

Anyway, OP good job in finding this poorly made scam attempt. So many of them out there though.

I too had a warning message posted on ANN topic that got deleted by a mod not long ago.

I have to agree with mprep that posts like that can be viewed/perceived as duplicate posting as it's stating the same thing on two different boards.

Let me propose an elegant way to circumvent, so to speak, those rules. Rather than stating the obvious, calling them a scam (which they obviously are) in a short message with abnormally big letters, better ask a polite well-reasoned question; something like this:

    Quote
Hello, serious questions have been raised about the legitimacy of your project. There are reports that your team has fake members/plagiarized whitepaper/whatever. Could you please be kind and address these issues here:...

This could very well serve as a warning to others yet not get deleted...I don't know just a thought.  Smiley

3753  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Enomcoin - SCAM ICO - FAKE TEAM on: October 12, 2018, 02:39:51 PM
If you could just create a thread for yourself and keep updating all those entries in that thread
If ICOEthics decided to create such topic, I would suggest that he makes it self-moderated to avoid redundant posts, spam or other unwanted activity.

Unfortunately this is only getting worst, more and more scammers are entering this space and it doesn't look like they will give up.
Do you guys, DT members, have a limit per day for leaving negative feedback? Grin I've always been interested to know.

I've seen this team member many times with different names.

Poor lad will get multiple life sentences if he gets caught. He has to be the CEO/Founder of at least a 100 scam project so far. Тhis is what you get when your stock photo end up in website template used by criminals.  Cheesy

3754  Other / Meta / Re: How to deal with bumping via fake conversation? on: October 12, 2018, 11:10:07 AM
It's a never-ending battle. They can make as many new shill accounts as they want. In the end, it falls to who is more persistent; we who report these idiots or people behind the bot bumping industry.

Anyway, I'll help you out with what I can,...so far for plagiarism/multiposting I have reported the following accounts:

    sigma45, drugrehablocator, microman14, nof21 and sade12.

Will check/report more profiles later today.

3755  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Blockotel - Website Under Construction on: October 12, 2018, 10:22:18 AM
You feel very defensive that it is a scam, like your some how worried or jealous for th project.
You are the only one being defensive here. We can't be jealous of something that does not exist - your project.

    progress is inevitable.

With fraudsters like you, there will be no progress at all.

Also we would like to thank you for the link juice as it will really help the domain.

Not sure how being called for a scam will help you go further.

I think you might have shot yourself in the foot my friend.

Not only you have a fake team, non-working website, but you've also plagiarized your whitepaper.

    3757  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Buildan.io - Scam! on: October 11, 2018, 04:41:06 PM
Maybe you should also warn the people there.

There is no need to warn anybody for the simple reason that there are more than 95% bots who are writing there.

This is probably their third or fourth batch of bumping bots (accounts created late July and early September). In June, a small part of batch 1 was banned, the rest of batch 1 and batch 2 were banned in mid - September. More info here.

xtraelv suggested earlier that lowbander80 might be behind all these bots and scam projects, now that I see him post 1st in Buildan ANN and also meriting at least 10 of his bots I'm willing to believe that he was right. This needs another topic though...

What happened: Stolen content from another project, no team and no whitepaper.

    Reference Link: https://www.buildan.io/

    Announced by: Buildan

    ANN: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5045379.0

    • Everything on their website is stolen from Shopify, it is copied 1:1 and replaced Shopify with Buildan, one of the lamest scam attempts i've seen so far
    • There is no team for the simple reason that there is no real project
    • Their so-called whitepaper is nothing but a big screenshot of their website (which is 3 weeks old).
    • They have listed Livecoin as an exchange they will be/are listed on (currently not); not sure why maybe they feel more legit like that
    • To be part of their Airdrop you need to buy a minimum 0.05BTC worth of  BLD tokens  Shocked

It's funny how he copied the message without even worrying about what's inside. The way they spelled Ethereum though : ethertum  Grin

On a side note, just 5 min lurking/treasure hunting in Altcoin Discussion:

I prefer Ethereun and Ripple as my investment, I will make Ethereum my long-term investment plan and make Ripple a short-term investment, I think Ethereum and Ripple are 2 altcoins that continue to compete and have very good improvements, I am very sure that my investment choices are very appropriate.

everything can happen in crypto Ethereum can increase in price to tens of times, that's not impossible, we all know that many altcoins experience a drastic price increase like that, we know most ICOs use EtherTum paltform and many altcoins are greatly helped by Ethereum , I think we will wait for that to happen at the end of December.

ETH deserves its sub $200 fate with followers like that. hah

And i thought people had the most trouble spelling theymos' name.
3760  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Guide For Getting Merit! on: October 10, 2018, 09:23:26 PM
First, what you want to do before asking a question or sharing news, is search into google to see, and make sure there is no other thread about it. This will just make duplicate content and will contribute nothing.
Have you followed your own advice and searched for merit guides/tips? As you said, posting duplicate content doesn't bring anything new to the table, and you certainly won't get merit for this.

I was attempting to help some users... I do not understand the issue with it..?
Nothing wrong with that, what Adolfinwolf is trying to say is that you haven't earned enough merit, basically none, and you're trying to give advice on the basis of what...?
