3741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Easiest way to convert money into BTC? on: January 22, 2017, 03:35:00 PM

The easiest so far would be localbitcoins but price is something you have to deal with, they offer much higher price than online. You will find it a better option to have paypal funds and buy btc online from the services or from reputable users here in bitcointalk. There are a lot of these users actually and are willing to accept paypal for a price but not as high as those form localbitcoins.

If you have a card, try jsut registering on exchange that accepts buying btc. Kraken.com and bitfinex I think are just the few.
3742  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: signature campaign vs social media campaign, which is more effective? on: January 22, 2017, 03:25:46 PM
Signature campaign is more effective because the viewers are bitcoiner while in social media campaign, not all the viewers are bitcoiner or interested with new stuff unless the manager check if the friends/followers are real and interested in bitcoin.

Twitter Audit help the campaign manager to verify if users are not bots. Most campaign manager don't accept users with their twitter audit results less than 80%.
Twitter and facebook campaign still are very effective in spreading the word about the company's existence.  For cryptocurrencies wanting to spread the word to the public not just to the users of bitcointalk, prefer to use social media as well.

BTC users also wants privacy and not subscribe to the newsletters from the developer team. Altcoin developers wants followers on the facebook and twitter because they want to update the users on these media.
3743  Economy / Economics / Re: How many BTC will make you a fiat millionaire in 5 years? on: January 22, 2017, 02:53:10 PM
Are you asking how many bitcoin we must buy (based on our current balance) to achieve millionaire status?

Right now anyone achieving millionaire status in Dollars needs 1212 bitcoins to reach that mark.
Such an amount of bitcoin as you mentioned should be at the current rate for millionaire status, but think how much time and how you need to make a number of coins for the goal to obtain the status of a millionaire. This is a very long and arduous journey.

It really is a good thing if someone could teach us how to earn 1200 btc in a short time by trading or by investing to some tokens. Its somehow getting late to invest to other coins because its only then you realize they are worth investing when you start to see the price is a lot higher than before.

They say try and try until you die trying so even if it will take more than 10 years to bank such amount, its still going to be worth a try.

3744  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are campaigs only the major source for earning BTC ? on: January 21, 2017, 06:37:10 PM
Like me who has nothing to invest has to earn Bitcoin to roll out and the best option I got is to join a signature campaign and earn few bucks a week. Those BTC I earn through signature campaign are then invested to some coins and then sell back to BTC when opportunity knocks. Its not a easy as I said though, a lot of times I end up losing. But also I sometimes hit big time especially when a pump is going on in yobit. Smiley

If you have the skills, you better stick to finding a job fit for your skill. Not only will you earn but it will hone your skills too. I recently learn about this freelance site - xbtfreelancer.com
3745  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How Does Someone Compete With Poloniex? on: January 21, 2017, 04:28:28 PM
Offer affiliate programs
List promising ICOs before they launch
Always weed out scams and list fewer coins
Partner with secure bitcoin wallet services (lessen the time and cost to move btc in and out of the exchange.
Zero fees when market making or providing liquidity
Offer margin trading on all coins (That's why Bitmex is number one now for BTC trading.)

And least of all security. Polo if I remember had been hacked too and that your exchange must be secured. One thing that you may offer is partner up with a token that offers insurance, I believe Inchain wasn't successful but if one day a team will try to develop, it could help your success.

And also, promote yours of course. Make a huge campaign and talk shit about Polo  Shocked
3746  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best way to find a BTC job? on: January 21, 2017, 03:50:09 PM
You might find a job of your liking in this freelance site xbtfreelancer.com. I did register to the site and found out there are employers out there that needed a job done. Or better yet go to upwork.  I found out there are also bitcoin jobs on upwork, but they don't pay btc. The best thing about upwork is that you won't be scammed because they act as escrow for both employer and employee.
3747  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there any possibility of a decrease in demand for Bitcoin? on: January 21, 2017, 01:01:19 PM
People think that Bitcoin will be valued more in the future. So they are both mining and buying bitcoin.

Is there any possibility of a decrease in demand for Bitcoin? Whatever happens, people give up using bitcoin.

It depends what bitcoin is imo.  Currently its a awkward thing for people who have avergage  and above tech skills.  The demand is coming from people who can currently manage what it is.  If BTC can change to something everyone can use then demand would go up, who knows what will happen.

Its gradually happening though. The are altcoins aiming to bring more people in the industry are being built already, these altcoins are for masses and for adoption. When people starts to visit the forum and learn about how trading works, they will be able to take advantage of the demand and inflation just like how you guys are doing today.

The only reason why BTC demand will start to decrease is when there will another currency that will start to rise up and replaces it.
3748  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: buying btc for paypal ( long-term deal) on: January 21, 2017, 12:15:58 PM
i found escrow now.he will take 1% fees
i want 300 $ btc ..do you have them?

Escrow won't help with paypal dispute so there still a chance of scam unless you can wait for 180 days before the escrow sends the btc to you.
Will paypal dispute don't work if you send the paypal funds as gift to family/friends?  I think the only advantage for it is that the transaction fee won't be as huge as sending it as payment for goods.
3749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: January 21, 2017, 11:04:07 AM
Right now, I can't see how it is a possibility. Every single altcoin depends on Bitcoin. But maybe in the future, after some upgrades, a new coin will rise and surpass Bitcoin. Maybe a rise-only coin that you can sell whenever you want? People would surely invest in a coin like that especially if it's rising exponentially.
Can you explain how every altcoin depends on Bitcoin? Because this is not true. Also a rise only coin, especially one with an exponentially rising, is not possible with the possibility of selling at anytime.
Altcoin does really depend on bitcoin because you cant directly convert your altcoin into fiat because you will need to exchange it first to bitcoin to be converted to fiat.
Bitcoin could be replaced anytime because theres no permanent on this world but for now bitcoin would remain on the top spot for long time for sure.

Bitcoin of course will stay on top for maybe more than decades still. But the altcoins are also starting to be popular too. IF you take a look at some of them which you can compare is that most of the coins that compete to the top with value are the anon coins like XMR and the likes.

Theres also the competition of platforms like ETH, Lisk, WAVES and the rest.
3750  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What kind of service/business would you create if you had funding and.... on: January 21, 2017, 05:37:49 AM
I'll implement an online store that helps to sell most of the day to day needs, especially handmade and traditional crafts. It needs high investment to initiate this business. When I make the required amount will make agreement with few other similar business groups and start my work along with bitcoin as one of the payment option.

We have same concept of business about online store. But i want to sell all types of items that can be seen on a typical shopping mall. I think this will going to hit because only few online stores offering this service and they are only selling limited items.

It's going to be hard to build a typical shopping mall online. But if you are going to check out coinmall.io maybe you can have some idea with what you are planning. But I would love to fund this type of business if that is going to be pioneer in your country. As there are a lot of e-commerce sites that are already successful, I believe that it is going to be successful also with bitcoin.

An existing online store that had been around for years and being used by people can easily eat your market if they start to implement bitcoin on their website. I'm not sure if its a good idea. Like they said, BTC will soon be used by people. Its still a good try if you get into it with different target clients, let say you want to sell heavy equipment or maybe aquarium fishes or anything except those fashion dresses and computer accessories because there are lots of them already.
3751  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: January 20, 2017, 05:37:22 PM

BTC is hard to earn nowadays. Signature campaigns require you to post long than what it was 2 years ago and if english isn't your native tongue, you spend a hard time earning because campaign managers and mods are always on the look out so its not worth if you aim to earn about hundreds weekly.

If trading isn't for you, the better suggestion would be to learn a skill like photoshop. It will take time to learn it but the tutorials online are free, you only need is time.
3752  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: January 20, 2017, 04:17:46 PM
Well, you see how electronics is progressing and BTC becomes more and more famous, so is possible that soon BTC will be usual money.

How do we cash out Bitcoin if its already replaced. Gold? It will be too heavy for most of us walking around with gold bars inside our bags, the newer generations are as slow as sloth. They prefer the slim mobiles because its not as heavy as a their own purse.

Fiat won't be replaced of course, 100USD bill can be a light as a tissue paper and that's convenient when you walk inside a grocery store to buy tampons for your wife.  Grin
3753  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining: Where do I start? on: January 20, 2017, 02:21:12 PM
You can minimize some of those issues by using known good hardware combinations but that can be pricey.

You mean buying a preset up gaming computer from a local store?  I'd really like to try one. I'm trying to find out which I could try at home.
Can you guys help me check which you think I can use to mine XMR?  http://www.lazada.com.ph/shop-desktop-computers/

I can afford some of it but if I know it can work for me, I can ask money from my brother for this plan of mine with a promise to repay him.
3754  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining: Where do I start? on: January 20, 2017, 08:08:47 AM
I'm pretty new to the Bitcoin mining world, as I have just recently got a decently powerful computer. I understand that in order to make a sizeable profit mining you need some sort of rig/hardware, as when I try to mine with my GTX 1060 GPU I clock out somewhere around 1USD worth of BTC per day. However I am not looking to make a living, and I do not want to invest too much money into the hardware. What are some things I can purchase in terms of hardware that are cheap and simple? And where can I get them? Would love to hear your feedback and any additional information or tips for beginners would be great Grin

Well you can check out gpushack.com for affordable used and new mining hardware that can give you a he'd start. Your GTX 1060 is indeed not going to turn over any good profit so I'd recommend you to get some 5 or 6 more Gpu's and construct 6gpu mining rig or buy an already made 6 Gpu's rig and mine Altcoins(doge,Monero, ethereum, etc.) so that you later sell them for bitcoins. That's the best advice I can give for now.

Which particular GPU can you recommend for ETH and XMR mining? Sapphire TRIX R9 290 OC has two positive reviews, what kind of motherboard fits for this GPU?
Its going to be interesting for me if I could also mine around 3 ETH or XMR a day. If this is possible I guess I can invest about $1200 for a good computer. Will this money be enough? Its whats left of the unfruitful trades I did lately. The electricity rate in our area isn't too high too.

3755  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Using Bitcoin and altcoins when under 18 on: January 20, 2017, 07:53:00 AM
I don't remember being asked about my age when I register on exchange sites, I have register to almost all exchange but I have never been asked for IDs as well.
They know we all wanted privacy that is why we are using cryptocurrencies, the only problem you can encounter is cashing out btc from websites that asks for IDs.

Try the reputable people here in the forum, some of them buy BTC through paypal. I said reputable so be careful trading with someone,  its like sharing an information and at the same time paypal can be disputed.
3756  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the price of Bitcoin change more than traditional currencies? on: January 20, 2017, 07:43:37 AM
Fiat money also change every day, we don't just notice its changes because fiat on FOREX has 4 decimals 1.2345 the changes that occur on fiat money usually are noticeable only by traders.  It changes every day and the slightest chance can make a trader profit for more than a hundred already.  This don't happen on BTC and other crypto because the marketcap is just billion. FOREX are trading trillions of money everyday.

3758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: alt coin trading XRP on: January 19, 2017, 06:07:05 PM
altcoins value is falling rapidly to btc as the price increase, the market isn't stable at all, i think xrp is going to have a good year though,

btw how many xrp have you bought @that price?

He'd definitely has to have about millions to somehow profit more BTC from XRP rise. This coin has a high good volume but its value isn't very desirable for me. And i don't really know what the purpose of this coin, what i do know is that its roadmap includes fiat gateway.  If its indeed XRP work, its value could have been better by now if it weren't for its max supply.

Good luck OP.
3759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For what was Bitcoin created? on: January 19, 2017, 05:41:10 PM
If we think about different currencies - Bitcoin is a real step forward. It is not supported by gold or something else. It depends a lot on whether people use it and believe in it.
For which purposes you think Nakamoto created Bitcoin? To earn a lot of money? Or just to create something new?
Maybe, he wanted to show the different nature of money and that it doesn't need government to exist, for example?
What are your thoughts on the topic?

By the word decentralized is what serves its purpose. Satoshi was maybe sick of economy that is controlled by government and some huge banks.
So having a money that isn't centralized and that everyone can take part of its value and the quantity is exactly the way its been since the creation - 21M. With such supply, there is no way an authority can create more coins of their own.
3760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have we reached peak tribalism? on: January 19, 2017, 04:45:34 PM
Have we now reached a stage in the Bitcoin community where ideas are no longer judged on merit, but on who proposed them?  Every new idea is apparently now a hostile takeover attempt according to someone.  It could theoretically be the best idea in the world, but it will now be rejected out of hand by those who have already decided they don't trust the motives of the group or person proposing it.  People are so busy talking about other people that the topic is no longer about the technology.  It has become an ugly personality contest.  On par with reality television in terms of abject stupidity.

I ask honestly how anyone expects to move forward while everyone is jumping at shadows over their respective boogeyman of choice.  I also wonder how quickly this thread will devolve into accusations about who's plotting what, which group or person is trying to overthrow Bitcoin, who can't be trusted, the next benevolent dictator and so on.  We should all be familiar with the language by now, because it's the same every time.

We can't do this thing because boogeyman 'A' is cancer if you listen to tribe 'B', but we can't do that thing either because of boogeyman 'B' is the devil according to tribe 'A'.  So I guess now we can never do anything again, right?  No idea can ever be good because so-and-so is bad.  Someone's always going to be crying about something sinister and manipulative creeping in the shadows and pulling the strings.

How do we fix this?
Totally understand this and the Op is right every new idea is seen with suspicion, even before it can be decided it's good or bad it is rejected why cause it's a new idea, it won't be good. Our brains have been wired through the years to reject all the ideas that are new thinking it won't work. I hope after reading op post people will change and consider new ideas.

We may not be able to fix it this time, we're all divided. Money is such powerful and we can't even trust who and what will happen later.
People are opposing new ideas because every one is already knowledgeable of what effect it could do and motives drives. Things were never the same again, i use to believe the idea of opensource is to give back to the community but its now being abused by cloning and compete.  Grin
