He is either scared or trying to lower the price to buy some/more BTC. He was always a pretty intelligent and shrewd investor before Bitcoin came around.

He is definitely hidding something. I've been watching his videos for very long time and find it very hard to belive someone who is very similar to
myself on almost all topics suddenly go so aggro on Bitcoin. A guy who understands diversification, a need to think outside of a box and is radical on
many levels but fails miserably on Bitcoin? That makes no sense to me. At around the same time he went from global-thinking to "We Americans,
our prescious dollar, government is awesome, paying taxes is great" and so on, could it be he actualy shitted pants realising what Bitcoin is capable
of but found himself not being prepared for it? Back to USA cave (cage?) and defend?

He is either scared or trying to lower the price to buy some/more BTC. He was always a pretty intelligent and shrewd investor before Bitcoin came around.

He already owns 1500 BTC  Grin

I don't have YouTube or Google account so please someone post about http://huntercoin.org to Rawdog, let's see his proly epic reaction on that!  Grin

Storing wealth in Bitcoin is rather laughable

Go to http://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/bitstamp/btcusd then switch Time Interval to 1w and then switch to logaritmic scale, over SETTINGS menu.
Using same menu, turn on StochRSI indicator to see clearly what is coming in the next few months. Do you see something indicating a price drop?

It really is laughable how much profit one gets by storing wealth in Bitcoin.  Cheesy

Text in red is more than sufficient to explain the level of hate here but you have no clue where you are now, obviously. It is so because people like

In other words, by not having ready a solution for prolonged major hashrate drop you people are working toward scenario where Bitcoin is likely dead.

The only way you'll see a major hashrate drop will be after Bitcoin is already dead.

On fundamental level, Bitcoin is no different than altcoins and that means you have no clue what you are talking about. Maybe to study alts a bit?

P2Pool is trivial to setup and just becomes solo mining if the pooling part doesn't work for some reason (like a broken escalator becomes stairs), and it's already what everyone should be using.

...Not that setting up solo mining is hard.

Bitcoin mining community changed drastically lately, for the worse, you haven't noticed that?

maybe you hope will come true, but all that you may have at this moment - even more lost money then now - 37k dead coins LOL

You will never have a lot of money.

To reduce block reward out of schedule and ahead of supposed halving time is a scam and also very stupid move given everything I posted earlier,
see EXC, ZET and PMC part at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=438150.msg5626514#msg5626514

They better debate potential uses for already mined coins. GPU for MAX? Blowjob for MAX? Kick banker ass for MAX? That would be a good start!  Smiley
3748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MediterraneanCoin (MED) - REUSE your ERUPTER!! new hybrid PoW algo! on: March 11, 2014, 12:07:14 AM

- limit on use on both the MediterraneanCoin address and the DogeCoin address (even if used separately) can be used to receive free coins every n minutes (10 minutes?)
- a check is done also on ip address (if one uses tor?  Tongue )

That will hot help against Chinese people. As I suggested earlier, to incentivize people to mine MED and buy some, you could send random small
amounts to addresses seen on blockchain. A bit higher rewards for mined block (address that received newly generated coins) and normal, smaller
rewards for addresses seen in other transactions. That way one who wants to participate must:

1. Solo mine MED or
2. Buy MED and move it outside of exchange, to local wallet or other exchange, so that proof of address ownership (transaction) exists on blockchain.

Classic faucets no longer work, especially if they pay out a lot of coins. People found ways to suck them dry in matter of hours and then of course just
dump all coins at exchange.

One way or another, keep rewards low!
3749  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Yet another Coin Control Release on: March 10, 2014, 11:51:16 PM
about 4)

This is expected. Addresses you create by yourself are not considered as change addresses by the
wallet. So they will not appear as child. This may not be what you expect in this case, but this problem
is rather related to the way the wallet recognizes change in general, than to coin control.

Still a bug.  Grin

make tickets on github.com/Bitcoin/bitcoin if you want attention on these.  The devs don't scour the boards looking for random problems. ( or at least they shouldn't be Smiley )

any word on whether or not they're going to hard fork the coin and reduce the block reward? Max, on his twitter, said that he's meeting up with Nigel Smart and the dev's later this week in Bristol.

3751  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Hrvatski (Croatian) on: March 10, 2014, 11:24:34 PM

Balanced mode prebacuje 100% hashrate
3752  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Hrvatski (Croatian) on: March 10, 2014, 11:05:54 PM

s tim da je ukljuceno 2% donacije za VIP:   VIP members - no waiting for confirmations and paid orphan blocks

ako netko ima neka druga iskustva neka slobodno napise.

http://mmpool.bitparking.com/pool

DGM reward method 1.5% fee for Bitcoin
All transaction fees paid to miner that finds the block
Merge mining with Namecoin, Ixcoin, Devcoin, I0coin and Groupcoin

Definitivno najbolji pool!
3753  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Kimoto Gravity Well Difficulty Adjustment for Bitcoin on: March 10, 2014, 10:36:00 PM
I suggest that efforts get underway now to integrate the Kimoto Gravity Well in bitcoin before it is needed.

Totally agree on that.

The only scenario where a change in the difficulty function would be of any value, is a scenario where Bitcoin is likely dead anyways. If the hashrate drops 80%+ in a two week period there probably is a larger macro economic reason, one that can't be solved by simply adjusting the difficulty faster.

No one except pools and old miners know how solo mining works or know how to setup solo mining. Scenario where major pools go down for days or
more and remaining pools can not accept all miners coming from major pools is possible. If that happens and majority of miners fail to switch to solo
mining or join some other pools then we would have a situation where KGW implemented ahead of such event would be absolutely welcomed. You
may think that helping 51% attack on network is worse than having network "paused" potentially for days or weeks but I disagree on that. One can
easily combat 51% attack by increasing number of confirmations but "pause mode" can not be fixed easily and fast, as proven so many times with
many altcoins.

In other words, by not having ready a solution for prolonged major hashrate drop you people are working toward scenario where Bitcoin is likely dead.

It all works both ways. If someone adds 100% hashrate at time when difficulty retarget happened he will increase inflation by 100% for next 2016
blocks and coupled with a chance to 51% network to extreme at any moment all that would surely impact the price negatively. KGW would fix the
issue in like dozen of blocks.

You are proposing a hard fork on a core element of the protocol for something which isn't required.  The chance of it happening is ~0%.

Ehhh ...

When you do not use the search function you risk having an uninformed discussion because the more expert people have gotten tired of rehashing the same subjects over and over again for years.

It will be fun to watch them combat the shit once it happens.
3754  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Hrvatski (Croatian) on: March 10, 2014, 10:13:42 PM

Umjereno krade ahaha to me podsjetilo na http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRVwLrABnZM  Grin

3755  Other / Meta / Re: Should newbies be restricted again? on: March 10, 2014, 10:10:41 PM
$6 to join is to me quite reasonable. Here in the U.K. that equates to only Ł3.59. Christ I spend that on a paperback book to read up on things. Also for people to get information they could do what I did. I read lots of stuff on here and got lots of valuable information without needing to join. I only joined recently as I wanted to help put a bit of what I have learned back into help.

Just for the record, Theymos would never do that and I am glad that you guys dont own the forum...

Never? Oblivious to truth, obviously, but I'll let you sleep more. Just continue thinking there is something that does not change sooner or later, because
of one reason or another.

No i retrieved from a backup and resent the coins now he is asking for double.

Well you should make it clear on that thread what happened afterwards, now it looks as if nothing happened after coins were "lost". Does address where
coins were sent later belongs to you or nhcaochong?

3757  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Atomic Trade New Virtual Currency Exchange USD BTC on: March 10, 2014, 09:48:40 PM

How exactly is nhcaochong scammer? It is clear as day you had private key of his old deposit address yet acted like coins are lost and then you just
moved them to different address.

3759  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Atomic Trade:you should refund 2.39btc to me on: March 10, 2014, 09:37:24 PM
It is user responsibility to check what is valid deposit address. On the other hand, exchange guys should have a backup of all private keys used.

To correct myself, this is scam attempt! Coins were moved afterwards to different address and are still there:

https://blockchain.info/tx/2a11c42c54810c808c6d80474df67f31d58265b3595f16563b72fda4719aff95
https://blockchain.info/address/138oGog2H7yqbj3MFC6FvaqUjyTG5jeJeH

So clearly private key was not lost nor it is anyone else other than exchange guys or someone other with access to wallet who had private key.

Atomic Trade please refund nhcaochong.

3760  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Yet another Coin Control Release on: March 10, 2014, 07:19:46 PM
Thanks, I will check it later today on Testnet (of course).

There were problems right from the first start:

1. New client does not recognize testnet=1 over bitcoin.conf file. Using -testnet over command line helped but then ...

2. New client failed to recognize testnet datadir (testnet3) is a subdirectory of datadir root so it shocked me a bit to see 0 coins and no blockchain
downloaded. To solve issue, I had to copy all data from testnet3 subdirectory to datadir root (are we getting testnet4 maybe?).

3. Once all was set and ready to go, I noticed "Tree mode" checkboxes are not working properly. If there is one unspent input on some address and
I click on checkbox to select that address, checkbox will turn into partially selected state, as if there are more than one unspent input but not all of
them are selected. If I expand that tree I can see both checkboxes have partially selected state, which is totally hmm given that unspent input itself
has that state as well, as if part of it is selected (not really possible). https://i.imgur.com/n67yTb5.png shows incorrect state of checkboxes after
user clicks once on address checkbox (top 2 cases, unexpanded and expanded tree) and how it should look like regardless of the number of unspent
inputs on that address (bottom 2 cases, unexpanded and expanded tree).

If address checkbox is not selected, expanding the tree and clicking on unspent input checkbox turns both checkboxes to fully selected state, as it all
is supposed to work with this scenario. In short, if some tree is not expanded and user clicks on address checkbox, that checkbox and checkboxes of
all unspent inputs at that address should become fully selected, not partialy.

4. Problem as explained earlier (post on previous page) still exists.

https://i.imgur.com/0XyjpOz.png

50 BTC were selected and 25 BTC sent to Testnet3 faucet (mimoZNLcP2rrMRgdeX5PSnR7AjCqQveZZ4) leaving to wallet to create a new address for
change. Remaining 25 BTC ended up on that address and are shown properly as child of original address (mfaULtk7AFHCSBefQKZo6AiLzqktJEwm2Z).

http://pool.qdoop.net:18331/tx/1febd5191ff6b5a830fb79b6185464c17471b4a18dc563aee4d2db06a9b7345f

Another 50 BTC were selected and 25 BTC sent to Testnet3 faucet but this time I created new address (mq9TuNTCVhGzcYQGv7RWiKhcHnwUBt5tC3),
named it "Test" and used it as a change destination. As you can see from screenshot posted above, remaining 25 BTC were sent to that address but
they did not ended up shown as a child of original address but as a normal unspent input.

http://pool.qdoop.net:18331/tx/615b729cefdfc039e53ff475b0540a266db5a9f51566af5387a59278cca5a0a7

After some thinking and given options which Coin Control provides I just don't see how it all can be fixed. With few unspent inputs on few different
addresses it seems that correct visual representation of taints could easily become a horror or even impossible.

5. Not related to Coin Control but annoying, there is no "Copy address" upon right-clicking some receiving address nor address itself is shown  Huh
To see receiving address user must double-click on address row to pop-up window with QR code. Then to copy address it takes to double-click it so
it becomes selected and then right-click > Copy or CTRL+C (this is starting to remind me of Microsoft "genius" changes to WinOS and other software).
