Attempting to limit one from how he wishes to distribute his private property is an attempt at socializing, which is really taking away freedom.

Anyone who wants to get rid of patenting and copyrighting is only attempting to shoot himself in the foot. Why? Because when we don't have patenting and copyrighting in place any longer, companies will spring up that will make sure that copies CAN'T be made without proper payment... through various forms of encryption and hardware.

As long as people keep on trusting an outdated patent/copyright system, they won't try to limit copying in more effective ways. But if the patent/copyright system is removed, people will do what they must to protect their property, which includes their sales. And what they do will be way beyond anything in the present encryption field.

Now, maybe that is the thing you are really after. If it is, I don't blame you. The patent/copyright system isn't working very well anyway.

EDIT: Would you buy a car with a sealed engine, so that private engine technology would be protected? Many people would.

Blah, blah, blah, blah.

Any time you decide to take a look at the way things are written the Bible, you will see that the Bible distinguishes between literal and figurative, right in the language it uses. So, when jokers like you yakety yak like this, it can absolutely be expected. You don't have a clue about what you are yacking.

First off, the bible does not clearly distinguish(Excluding many of Jesus's parables) between what may be metaphorical, symbolic, or literal. Second off, as I said before, The 24 hour/day 365 year Calendar, was not made until the 1500s. This means that the Genesis Portion of the bible where it says god created everything in 6 days is incorrect(edited?) or symbolic. Either one, because they did not have 24 hour "days" back then as we do now.

If you're gonna argue, at least try and dont look like a fool.

Twice, now, you have attempted to limit me. Usually a person attempts to limit another when there isn't any other way to combat the other.

I'm different. I offer you the freedom to continue looking like a fool as much as your little pitter patter desires.

Hopfully the admins will send us a percentage of the bets as a donation lol, just for the increased trafic Wink

Edit: You start the thread, so as not to hijack, let's see what we know?

Not interested.

It's enough to know:

"In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth."

There was a great universal war between the "angels" of God, and "fallen angels" of Satan. This war brought the whole universe to disorder. The dregs of "material" coalesced in what the Genesis calls "the Earth."

From that point, God Himself rebuilt the universe in a period of 6 days. He also made mankind in the form of our first two original ancestors.

Moses figured out the basic truths about our beginning. He wrote it down in the first 5 books of the Bible. Obviously, the info in these books doesn't cover even a fraction of the knowledge that is out there. But it covers the things that people need to know to live a reasonable life on earth, and to be saved from death to eternal life.

Whatever God is, He developed in less than one day the complicated life that we know as mankind. He actually "breathed" a portion of Himself into the first man, so that mankind actually has a touch of God in himself.

Fill up on the themes of the Bible. Anything other than that will not produce beneficial results. Nobody can create mankind except God, Himself. Nobody can breathe the Spirit of God into man's nostrils so that man becomes a living soul.

Neither you, nor I, nor anyone else needs anything more than the themes of the Bible for eternal life.

Smiley

In Genesis, it never says that God created the universe after the "universal war" between the angels and satan/followers. Also, it's clear you've never taken theology(Which all priests are required to do). To be honest, you should just stop talking BADecker. Even the priest at my local church would frown/laugh at what you've written. The Genesis portion of the bible is considered by most biblical historians to be Symbolic, and not literal, especially since back when these chapters were supposedly written, there Were No 24 hour Day Calendars aka The gregorian calendar did not exist yet, which is why "God creating the universe is 6 days" is regarded as Symbolic. You and whoever else believes that God created the world in 6 days is an idiot, and truly needs to go back to school. From that you can also see just how much the bible has been edited over the centuries(Genesis was edited), and why most of the things in there are symbolic or simply false.

Literally every sentence you write makes me feel like you dropped out of school in 3rd grade BADecker. At least research before you come up with bullshit that not even fellow christians would accept.

You do realize evolution doesn't go against the bible right?

By the way I don't see how this changes the whole idea of humans came out of Africa idea since Ethiopia is in Africa.

Yes it does. Bibles says:

Garden of Eden was between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.

Man was made completely, full grown, not evolved from some inanimate chemicals that came into life spontaneously.

Bible clearly says that the creation story happened right around 6,000 years ago.

Bible says that man was created much more advanced that we are today.

Bible says there is a God.

Lots of things that don't match between the Bible and evolution.

Smiley

You know that different religions ramifications have different interpretations of the Bible? some Evangelist believe that the bible speaks in a literal way and not metaphorical way so they actually believe that earth is around 6000 years old.

Nobody really cares what the Bible interpretation of someone else is. The Bible was directed into place by God. Read it, or listen to someone else reading it, and God will give you the interpretation that He wants you to have.

The basics of the Bible will be understood in almost the same way by anybody who reads them. The other things don't matter except for forming arguments over nothing. No two people, no matter how close they are, will EVER have exactly the same interpretation in their hearts. It is entirely impossible.

The whole Bible has been set in place for the Holy Spirit of God to come into your heart through the reading of the Bible so that you can be saved.

British Islamic Group’s Billboard Warns Non-Muslims To “Be Careful With Mohammed”…

The Muslim Action Forum (MAF), which staged a protest outside Downing Street against Charlie Hebdo in February, has launched a "legal strategy" to stop insults against Mohammed.

The organisation is also asking supporters to "lobby your MP" to make "Islamophobia" a criminal offence.

They state that they intend "to launch a series of legal challenges in the English Court system" because "depictions of our Holy Prophet peace be upon Him is the worst kind of 'Hate Crime' that can be perpetrated on the 3 million Muslims in the UK and 1.7 billion Muslims worldwide."

The group says that they have "devised a legal strategy to prevent the continuous insulting and derogatory publications depicting and abusing the personality of our Holy Prophet Muhammad peace be upon Him."

In a press release published shortly after the demonstration in February 2015, the MAF set out details of their plan to outlaw depicting Mohammed in the UK, through "amendment of some existing legislation and the presentation of a Private Members Bill that promotes the idea of Global Civility."

They describe "Global Civility" as a "new direction" and argue that the "desecration" of "collective human dignity", through "insult, denigration or humiliation is morally and ethically wrong". Their website rails against "reckless and malicious expressions".

They urge the 100,000 Muslims who they claim signed their petition to lobby their MPs and all candidates standing in the General Election. The MAF makes a number of suggestions including three specific questions which they ask supporters to direct to their MPs.

The MAF suggests that petitioners ask their MPs if they think the "the Public Order Act 1986 should be amended to include under 'hate crime' any malicious depiction of images and use of malevolent language against revered personalities of all religions?"

They also suggest asking if "Islamophobia should be a culpable offence?"

The suggestions include a point inquiring if MPs would support a "Bill of Rights" that promotes "Global Civility", a concept which would prevent insulting religion.

The appeal says that if the MP answers no to any of the points above, their answer "will clarify to the local Muslim community where their political representatives stand on the single most important issue to every Muslim in this country and worldwide."

Stephen Evans, National Secular Society campaigns manager, said: "We trust all prospective MPs will appreciate that there is no homogeneous 'Muslim community' and reject such unreasonable demands to undermine everybody's fundamental rights and freedoms. Free speech is the bedrock of liberty and a free society – and integral to combating the spectre of Islamism. Now more than ever we need to preserve and strengthen freedom of expression, not capitulate to extremist demands."

The Muslim Action Forum (MAF) explain that their campaign against satirical depictions of Mohammed, and what they call "uncivilised expressionists", took its "first historical step by presenting a petition supported by over 100,000 signatures of Muslims promoting the concept of Global Civility and condemning the continuous publication of these insulting cartoons in France and other parts of the world."

The MAF website has a section devoted to the concept of "uncivilised expressionists", and they cite examples including the Satanic Verses, Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten and the burning of the Quran. They define uncivilised expressions as a "a psychological disposition of the human mind which insults and maligns others without care or consideration of consequences." They call this "behaviour against Muslims".

http://www.secularism.org.uk/news/2015/03/be-careful-with-mohammed--muslim-action-forum-launches-legal-strategy-to-stop-publication-of-insults-to-mohammed

I can see some real problems with those concepts.  Either apply them to all religions, or give Islam special status.  (which nobody in the West is going to be willing to do.)

But if you apply these concepts to all religion, aside from destroying free speech, you have created a situation where we can't disrespect Scientology.

Now that wouldn't do at all...

Oh sure. Apply them to all religions. Even if they don't apply to some religion.

But if you are going to apply them to ALL religions, then first recognize some of the religions that normally aren't recognized as such, like Atheism and the Religion of Evolution.

Quote
"Winston, come into the dining room, it's time to eat," Julia yelled to her husband. "In a minute, honey, it's a tie score," he answered. Actually Winston wasn't very interested in the traditional holiday football game between Detroit and Washington.

Ever since the government passed the Civility in Sports Statute of 2017, outlawing tackle football for its "unseemly violence" and the "bad example it sets for the rest of the world," Winston was far less of a football fan than he used to be. Two-hand touch wasn't nearly as exciting.

Yet it wasn't the game that Winston was uninterested in. It was more the thought of eating another Tofu Turkey. Even though it was the best type of VeggieMeat available after the government revised the American Anti-Obesity Act of 2018, adding fowl to the list of federally-forbidden foods, (which already included potatoes, cranberry sauce and mince-meat pie), it wasn't anything like real turkey. And ever since the government officially changed the name of "Thanksgiving Day" to "A National Day of Atonement" in 2020 to officially acknowledge the Pilgrims' historically brutal treatment of Native Americans, the holiday had lost a lot of its luster.

Eating in the dining room was also a bit daunting. The unearthly gleam of government-mandated fluorescent light bulbs made the Tofu Turkey look even weirder than it actually was, and the room was always cold. Ever since Congress passed the Power Conservation Act of 2016, mandating all thermostats - which were monitored and controlled by the electric company - be kept at 68 degrees, every room on the north side of the house was barely tolerable throughout the entire winter.

Still, it was good getting together with family. Or at least most of the family. Winston missed his mother, who passed on in October, when she had used up her legal allotment of life-saving medical treatment. He had had many heated conversations with the Regional Health Consortium, spawned when the private insurance market finally went bankrupt, and everyone was forced into the government health care program. And though he demanded she be kept on her treatment, it was a futile effort. "The RHC's resources are limited," explained the government bureaucrat Winston spoke with on the phone. "Your mother received all the benefits to which she was entitled. I'm sorry for your loss."

Ed couldn't make it either. He had forgotten to plug in his electric car last night, the only kind available after the Anti-Fossil Fuel Bill of 2021 outlawed the use of the combustion engines-for everyone but government officials. The fifty mile round trip was about ten miles too far, and Ed didn't want to spend a frosty night on the road somewhere between here and there.

Thankfully, Winston's brother, John, and his wife were flying in. Winston made sure that the dining room chairs had extra cushions for the occasion. No one complained more than John about the pain of sitting down so soon after the government-mandated cavity searches at airports, which severely aggravated his hemorrhoids. Ever since a terrorist successfully smuggled a cavity bomb onto a jetliner, the TSA told Americans the added "inconvenience" was an "absolute necessity" in order to stay "one step ahead of the terrorists." Winston's own body had grown accustomed to such probing ever since the government expanded their scope to just about anywhere a crowd gathered, via Anti-Profiling Act of 2022. That law made it a crime to single out any group or individual for "unequal scrutiny," even when probable cause was involved. Thus, cavity searches at malls, train stations, bus depots, etc., etc., had become almost routine. Almost.

The Supreme Court is reviewing the statute, but most Americans expect a Court composed of six progressives and three conservatives to leave the law intact. "A living Constitution is extremely flexible," said the Court's eldest member, Elena Kagan. "Europe has had laws like this one for years. We should learn from their example," she added.

Winston's thoughts turned to his own children. He got along fairly well with his 12-year-old daughter, Brittany, mostly because she ignored him. Winston had long ago surrendered to the idea that she could text anyone at any time, even during Atonement Dinner. Their only real confrontation had occurred when he limited her to 50,000 texts a month, explaining that was all he could afford. She whined for a week, but got over it.

His 16-year-old son, Jason, was another matter altogether. Perhaps it was the constant bombarding he got in public school that global warming, the bird flu, terrorism or any of a number of other calamities were "just around the corner," but Jason had developed a kind of nihilistic attitude that ranged between simmering surliness and outright hostility. It didn't help that Jason had reported his father to the police for smoking a cigarette in the house, an act made criminal by the Smoking Control Statute of 2018, which outlawed smoking anywhere within 500 feet of another human being. Winston paid the $5,000 fine, which might have been considered excessive before the American dollar became virtually worthless as a result of QE13. The latest round of quantitative easing the federal government initiated was, once again, to "spur economic growth." This time they promised to push unemployment below its years-long rate of 18%, but Winston was not particularly hopeful.

Yet the family had a lot for which to be thankful, Winston thought, before remembering it was a Day of Atonement. At least he had his memories. He felt a twinge of sadness when he realized his children would never know what life was like in the Good Old Days, long before government promises to make life "fair for everyone" realized their full potential. Winston, like so many of his fellow Americans, never realized how much things could change when they didn't happen all at once, but little by little, so people could get used to them.

He wondered what might have happened if the public had stood up while there was still time, maybe back around 2011, when all the real nonsense began. "Maybe we wouldn't be where we are today if we'd just said 'enough is enough' when we had the chance," he thought.

Maybe so, Winston. Maybe so.

It has been rumored (and in many cases it is the truth) bin Laden and others were/are trained CIA agents. They were trained operatives that the U.S. was/is using to conquer the Middle East.

It's all about oil, and maintaining the petrodollar as the world currency, ultimately to formally take over the world.

Hitler fought the bankers, and though he wounded them, he lost because he did it the wrong way for the wrong reasons. Now, the bankers are taking over the world in ways Hitler could have only dreamed.

People like bin Laden have waked up to what the U.S. and the bankers are doing. That's why they turn and fight their trainers.

There's a whole lot of evidence that suggests that 9/11 was an inside job, at least in part.

There is only one thing that can make America safe from terrorism.

It isn't more NSA or more DHS or more CIA. In fact, these things can be infiltrated or used by government to be the terrorism itself.

The only thing that will control the terrorism is this. And it will clean up America at the same time.

The thing that will protect America is guns in the hands of the citizens.

I propose that:
1. Government arm all legal age and older Americans to the hilt;
2. Government see to it that we all have a minimum of a ton of ammo for our guns;
3. That everyone be trained in the use and safety of guns and ammo;
4. That all people be required, when not on their own residential property, to wear a a pistol, minimum size .357; except at the beach, but even there, the guns be with them.

There is only one reason why Mohammed didn't go to Hell. That reason is that Hell hasn't been activated yet. After the Resurrection, Mohammed and all his followers who have not turned to Jesus for forgiveness will be sent to Hell.

Since the Islamic people are raising children doomed to Hell, since they and their kids won't accept Jesus salvation, why should we let them remain alive, just so that they can propagate, thereby making a bunch of people who will go to Hell? Since they won't turn, no matter how much mission work you do with them, and since they are out to turn as many people to hell as they can by converting them, shouldn't they absolutely be wiped off the face of the earth?

You judge for yourself.

The seven reasons to wipe Islam off the face of the earth:

1.
They fight everyone.
2.
Even if they appear peaceful, you don't know for sure, because their religious writings tell them they can righteously lie to to anybody who isn't Muslim.
3.
They are going to Hell by not accepting Jesus.
4.
They won't turn to accept Jesus.
5.
They raise a bunch of kids who they train in Islam, thereby dooming their kids to the torture of Hell.
6.
Their kids grow up to do the same.
7.
They try to force everyone else to become Muslim so that everyone else can go to Hell.

What do you think?

One of my favorite movies is the Clive Cussler 2005 movie, Sahara.

If you only know of Jesus, fair do's, but what if, like me, you believe many different versions, and can see the hidden continuity, but have the problem of deciding.. which is the true son we have to go through?

So I chose thoth's book to figure it out, because it has no expectations, only that you do.

It's like, if I had a choice, Jesus wants me to do this and that, but thoth just shows the way to all, to do so themselve's, become LIKE jesus..

Edit; The bible leaves us no choice, we go through Jesus or suffer. Thoth shows us how to become like jesus, to be able to work the same kind of miracles.. and like Jesus, thoth also lays claim to returning, and even states when.

When we learn to control lightning.. The war has already started.. man against man, brother against brother..

Recently, a mobile phone company managed to get a phone to recharge with controlled lightning.

So it's not too long then, for the return of the savior then.. the problem is, the bible betrayed the secret's to the men of the north AND south, ie, us white folks Wink

My question is, do we have any clear records from before the time of the Great Flood which took place between 2,400 and 2,500 B.C.? The library at Alexandria that was destroyed would have been one of these.

How secure are we that any clay tablets are from before the Great Flood? I haven't really done research on this. There are many arbitrary dates suggested, that certain things and writings are from before the Flood. They are arbitrary because the only real dating of anything that we have from before, seems to be C-14 dating, which has been shown to be inaccurate many times.

I suddenly get the impression that the joint placed me on his ignore list as well. It seems that one of his posts with me in it just disappeared. Well, if I am not mistaken, I'm gonna miss him. He's pretty smart, and quite logical in the ways he directs people into his own form of logic.

If I am mistaken, however, about him placing me on his ignore list, I apologize for saying so, and perhaps we will converse again sometime.

Nah, I have no reason to with you.  I chose to cease communication with him because he has no problem committing willful, fraudulent misrepresentation against myself.  He also conceded via his actions that he may slander me under impunity if the opportunity arises.

You mean I'll slag you off like you deserve? You sit there all high and mighty ASSUMING i never read your posts and go crying to everyone about your delusions? You continually tried to goad me into conversing with you, yet despite me saying, I'm not interested, you EXPECT me to answer? And then start stalking me in priv messaging because you ASSUME I did'nt read all of your post? This is about ONE post is it not, considering the rest related to it.. you did have a good point, or I would not have answered you, but then you went off in tangent's that I was simply not willing to entertain.. If you choose to use 'The Joint' as your handle, EXPECT to be called a stoner, a Junkie, a drug user, and considering your replies and actions are nothing short of what a drug user would act like, all I can say is bring it on.. I have no illusion you will read my posts, I mean, all you need to do is read them whilst not logged in, so as to not unblock me, but I know you have already unblocked me twice.. momentarily.. curiosity killed the cat.. pussy.. I Have not fraudulently misrepresented you, YOU misrepresented yourself with your name, never mind your bullshit.. You KNEW what most people would think of your name, BEFORE you commited yourself to it, now you blame me for YOUR misrepresentation of yourself? You cant even stay on topic, and twice I pointed out you stated god was irrelevant to your question, and twice you have failed to notice I was correct.. I need say no more, for it is clear for all to see..

And yes, I will slander you till your blue in the face if I choose to, but I only have a wee drop tissue left, wanna donate to the dry eye's club?

Oh, I forgot.. I'm ignored.. Thank fuck.. back to GOD then huh? Or do you want to go off on wild tangents again with your thread hijacking?

Keep in mind, all anti-trust that is non-business related will cost you any future business you f'n lunatic..

If you ask me? You NEED a f'n joint.

It makes me so happy that I can be the transfer medium.    Cheesy
