Impressive for Bulls holding off a Bucks' comeback in the second half. It's also a different DeRozan this time compared to his poor shooting in game 1. Game 3 will be tricky for me as because of injuries to Middleton and Portis. I'll wait for updates before placing a bet on this one. I would most likely pick Bucks if they're all healthy.

I didn’t think the Bulls would be able to beat the Bucks a single game in the series so I’m surprised and impressed. They’ve struggled all year against teams over .500 so for them to beat the Bucks in the playoffs is a pretty huge sign they’re giving it their all. The real story of the night for me was the Nets losing again to Boston. They’re putting themselves at risk of being eliminated. Kyrie and KD both had horrible shooting nights, while Jalen Brown looked like the best player on the floor. I don’t know what the Nets need to do to change the trend, but I know if KD and Kyrie shoot like they did tonight there’s no way they’re beating anyone.

Agree. They need to focus on the FG improvement and free throw of there bench player. Claxton free throw is joke while Seth always missed the supposed to be the crucial score they need to get momentum. I don't expect this kind of line up will gonna go to finals. Nets is a mess if Kyrie and Durant is not doing well. There bench player is completely useless in crucial times.

Sometimes thing are different when a team is playing on the road, let's see in game 3 if the Nets would win the game. If we are going to bet on the Nets, bet on game 3 as it's a must win for them, and as history suggest, a team that is down 3-0 has no chance of coming back in the series.

Yes sometimes it is, but that's not an excuse because if they survive the games 3 and 4 then they will go back again to Boston. They need to conquer the crowd's vibe that will surely do anything to distract the Nets. But I believe they can recover after having a 2-0 deficit because Irving is now done fasting so probably he now have more energy to do things for his team.
3762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: April 22, 2022, 12:12:53 PM

On the other side, I cannot blame Canelo for avoiding GGG that time as it could stain his record. I mean he cannot afford to lose again from that defeat he suffered from Mayweather, he's building his career to have some legacy in the industry which he did and now that he's already at the peak of his prime, he can now destroy whoever he wanted to fight even if it's GGG.

This one is true I mean we can't really tell the exact reason why Canelo is avoiding to have a trilogy against GGG but he already prove his skills, strength and power against GGG by winning for two times. Though, there are some speculations that Canelo's victory during their fight have some sort of questionable but then I think Canelo now is more focus and looking forward to face new fighters and opponents. Though, I wouldn't disagree that Canelo vs. GGG trilogy will be a good fight to watch for if happen again.

No Mate, Canelo only wins once. The first one is a draw. That's the very reason why from the longest time GGG wanted to have a rematch
but Canelo avoiding that one, thought there's a smoke surrounding the boxing community about the possibilities of having a trilogy, for now it would be the fight against Bivol to watch out before we will deal for that trilogy against GGG.

All GGG fans are still waiting for Canelo to accept the fight before the man will completely hang his gloves.

We don't know yet if there's some inside negotiation that already happening between the camps, but it's good if they will push this one.
Canelo's camp already confirmed the trilogy, so there could be negotiations already even prior to making it public.

Yeah, it was a draw, but there are fans seeing it as a GGG win in the first fight. And then Canelo slightly edging GGG in the second. But still the fight is very close that we need to see a 3rd fight and finally Canelo is willing because of the money and revenues and then become the greatest of this generation.

Yes, both of their fights were very close that all of them ended up controversial. Both parties believed that their fighters won. That is why the demand for a trilogy was very strong even after the second fight was decided. But it was just unfortunate that it didn't take place right after the second fight. Now it could happen but it's not anymore as anticipated as it used to be. I saw GGG fight against Murata. He is still strong but he looked a bit too stiff.

Maybe it was the ring rust that affects GGG in that fight and he needed a few round to settle down and go to his rhythm. However, we have discussed this so far, the age of GGG, and this could be the most important factor in this fight. If he shows like a real 40 year old, then he get loss this fight easily, maybe by a KO or TKO. But assuming he can still fight, it will be a big task for him as Canelo is still on his prime years.

Maybe that was the factor why GGG started slow and tries to catch up his own movement in the ring for him to be more confident towards Murata because he hasn't fought anyone for almost 2 years or 16 months to be exact, but that's just a maybe because he ain't inactive in all those months because he is still preparing and training for a while against Murata. Although, I admit I'm still amazed how GGG works his magic in the ring but if it's against Canelo who is yes currently at the peak of his prime then I don't know about that anymore if GGG could really handle Canelo.
3763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: April 21, 2022, 04:47:07 PM
The odds doesn't change that much, Donaire is still 4:1 underdog.
I think for underdog bettors this is really a good odds assuming that Donaire can still fight and has the power and the timing to counter Inoue when he is going inside just like in the first fight. Donaire though will need to have a lot of stamina against the young Inoue to be able to sustain his attack the whole 12 rounds because this is what I'm seeing in this fight. Back and forth war throughout 12.

The only chances i can see for Donaire to get the win is to either control the early rounds or knock Inoue down even once and then calm down and just defend on the late rounds. I mean Donaire's style of play tends to be aggressive on the early round and then gas out on the later round, causing his punches became weak.
Inoue is known to have a destructive punches, if Donaire gas out on the later round he'll most probably gonna make that as an advantage.

But it's hard to see Donaire knocking out Inoue early, Inoue has also a good defense and a solid chin and I would say that he has a good boxing IQ as well. Donaire for sure can be aggressive in the early rounds, but he can't just cruise late in the rounds. He still has to give everything he got because Inoue has a good stamina because obviously he is the younger of the two. For me, the key for Donaire is to uses his counterpunch as his main weapon and make Inoue makes mistakes instead of looking for a early knock out.
Yes, I agree! I think that's more effective than just getting aggressive in the first few rounds with the hopes that Donaire could knockout the monster of Japan because it's really not that simple and easy considering Inoue's defensive capabilities to withstand strong punches also I know that Inoue is smart enough to watch out for that counterpunch but why not, right? It's worth taking that risk because stamina-wise, Donaire cannot keep up with Inoue about that.

As I said in the past, it may seem unclear why Canelo is not giving GGG the trilogy last 2019 but it is somehow clear that his reason why he didn't chose to fight GGG for the 3rd is that he cannot risk his career over a trilogy where in-fact he have already won the 2nd as the 1st fight was resulted into a draw. He's been very vocal about it but his reasons doesn't make sense.

Quote
All GGG fans are still waiting for Canelo to accept the fight before the man will completely hang his gloves.
I think it's the opposite, I mean Canelo have already agreed to fight Bivol and that same agreement includes GGG. So, he signed 2 fights in just one contract but money talks isn't included. It's GGG who didn't sign the deal yet and not the other way around.

I lost my prediction earlier because I thought that the Utah Jazz will easily beat the Lucka-less Mavericks. But guess what?  They've lost and because of that, the game will be unpredictable between these two teams. I think this kind of series will gonna reach game 7 since they already giving us some idea on how they strong they are and they are capable of beating one another, which team do you guys think will win?
I didn't also expect that the starless Mavericks will somehow get the series tied because Bogdanovic and Mitchell have played well with the help of Gobert for grabbing 17 rebounds but the Mavericks have proved that they can still defeat the Jazz without Luka. Maxi Kleber  was very impressive and especially Jalen for contributing 41 points.

Anyways, Luka is now getting better and if he can finish his workout on time then it's somehow safe to assume that he can play on Game 3.

Huge win by the Pelicans here?

Does anyone see that coming betting on the Pelicans ML live?
Booker got injured and that changes the chance of the Suns in the game, Nah, this is not good for the Suns, Paul again is at the same scenario in the past.

Maybe there are some who did bet live but as for me, I lost on that bet. I couldn't believe when I saw the result that the Pelicans have won with a double digit lead, so I dig some news on what happened then I found out that Booker got injured in the 3rd quarter. Who could've thought that! Cry

Anyways, for tomorrow I'm going with 76ers -2.5 and Bulls +9.5 .. I'm not thinking that the Bucks will lose in the 2nd game but I don't believe that they can cover such huge spread.
3767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: April 18, 2022, 03:08:16 PM
Donaire is a great counter puncher, but the question is, can he hit a moving Inoue?

As far as my own observation is concerned, yes 100% Donaire can hit Inoue even how far the Japanese Monster improved his speed.

However, the critical stage will be, if the fight lasts for long, that was a disadvantage for an aging Donaire. Stamina-wise, the monster can lasts up to 12 rounds with continuous bouts. Remember in their first fight, after hitting brutally by Donaire, the monster takes time to recover until he slowly gained momentum in the later rounds and does the aggressiveness on that part as he knows Donaire is much even tired compared to him.

Donaire is ahead for me in the early rounds but if Inoue survives those, that's dangerous. In Donaire's previous fights after losing to Inoue, he tried his best to finish the fight early and he succeeded. Different story though against the monster.

Indeed! I've also thought about the same, the fact is that they've surely learned on their first encounter and that they both have upgraded their weaknesses so that it wouldn't become a problem for them on the day of the fight while they are also improving their strengths as they both already know where are their weak points and that they've proved that their punches is really taking a toll on their body. The problem is that their stamina differs badly because yes as you have stated, Donaire may try to be more aggressive in the early rounds and try to knock out the monster but the monster's play would be that he would let Donaire to get tired first before he make his moves.
3768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: April 18, 2022, 02:30:04 PM
But as far as I can see around, betting odds are heavily favoring Casimero with -2400, -1500, etc. Butler has +1220 or +800. I am in favor of Casimero here but if I have to bet, I would rather bet on Casimero win by KO.

He was the favorite ever since this fight was rumored, Butler was just hyped a bit because he will be fighting in his country, but if we look at their record and performance in their previous fights, it's easy to tell on who will dominate.

I definitely agree! Casimero is already sitting at the sports bookies favorite's list long time ago, it's almost impossible that Butler will be the favorite one because his power is not that good compared to Casimero. But the only difference and good thing on this fight is that this time around it will be a good tight fight unlike Casimero's recent rival Rigo who was just running all the way after every bell, Butler is a former champion so we could expect some toe-to-toe fight on this even if we already know who will be the winner.
3769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: April 18, 2022, 02:02:12 PM

In the Nets-Celtics game, I was convinced the Nets would beat Boston, but that didn't happen... by the way, Kyrie Irving had a phenomenal performance in that game.

Yeah he had, because he made 39 points from 12/20 shooting or 60% shooting percentage against the Celtics, you can clearly see that no defense can stop him, unfortunately, he was also the reason why they lose because he did not guard Tatum very well who did the game-winning shot.

That last seconds happened so very fast and I can say that he let his guard down but IMO it's not his fault, Durant is so far from the center while Irving was the one left inside. They really thought that Marcus Smart would force that last shot but it was just a diversion because Tatum was already charging behind Irving's back. Well, the Celtics deserved that round because they played very smart in just a matter of few seconds. Surely, Irving is so disappointed about it!
3770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 18, 2022, 01:08:38 PM
Not having too many injures matters just because of this reason. I mean we had fun watching Celtics vs Nets I am sure but we had no missing stars on Nets, they do not have Harden anymore unfortunately but they had both Irving and Durant, same goes for Celtics who had both Tatum and Brown, on top of that some other players that they really needed. So all in all I have to say that the games will be great as long as we keep this up. However, if we keep seeing some smaller injuries that makes people miss games, that will be the trouble. The only reason why I disliked the last 2 seasons playoffs were the fact that many teams had injuries and that made the "least injured good team" champions.

That's what makes every game unpredictable as injuries is inevitable, the chance to get injured is always there even if they were just training. And there's this Covid-19 thing that would make the team struggle more just like the Clippers recently who somehow got a chance to have the playoff seat but suddenly PG turned out to be positive after he was tested.

So, of course having a healthy team with no injuries especially their superstars is a team that have the highest chance to win the championship. Though, I somehow disagree that it's unfortunate that Harden is not on the Nets side anymore because the team's offensive power is still great even if Harden isn't there with team as KD and Irving could handle the team with the additional of Seth and Drummond on the team, we already learn that too much alpha on the team isn't great and that will end up as a disaster.

Meralco has it. They have the playing performance that can beat Ginebra and their capability to get from behind is one of those. If they managed to get a big lead during the early quarters, they might have a chance to win the game as they are good in protecting a big lead.

They can beat Ginebra in game 6 because we are going to see a game 7. The game will be on Wednesday, not many fans will see but if this series will have a game 7, by Saturday we will surely see the biggest crowd in this series and that is because of the Ginebra kings.

Meralco Bolts ML is already lock-in in game 6.

Between the Nets losing by 1 point and the Pelicans missing the spread by 1 point, I missed out on a couple massive parlays.  That's the way it goes sometimes.  I have to say though, that Nets game was one of the most exciting I've seen in a while.  A shame their defense was horrible down the stretch but I think the Celtics are going to have trouble winning another game.  Durant's bad start really cost them as they had to dig themselves out in the 4th.  They showed what they're capable of and with Ben Simmons coming back soon I think they're in a good position going forward.  I just wish they'd won tonight (and the Pelicans covered the spread).
I don't bet on these games... I was surprised with the Grizzlies defeat, I wasn't expecting this result...
Talking about Nets vs Celtics game, it was a very competitive and exciting game, I wasn't expecting this result either, but the Celtics played extremely well.

Let's see if Boston and Minnesota will continue this performance in the future in the others games!

Celtics were too careless, they got a good lead but they allow the Nets to have a big run. If it wasn't for that winning shot by Tatum, I might say that the Nets were the better team in that game. As expected, Durant and Irving will lead the team, so both of them needs to be healthy throughout the series as I think it will be a long one.

Warriors move up to @7 now after a dominant win against the Nuggets, I believe it's still worth to take them at that odds.

Agree with you, Warriors @7 is still good to take. they played with great chemistry and their defense was really great. Maybe they had some problem during the regular season as they lost straight games but this is playoffs, their favorite time of the year, especially for Curry, KT, and Green.

Playoffs time. Smiley

here's my pick for the coming games. Not going to pick at least 1 game a day, this time I'll be adding some spice and let's see if we can be profitable.
So here it is.

Brooklyn Nets ML and +4
Suns -10.5
Heat -6.5

GL Everyone!

I'll probably tail you on the Suns game here. This is playoff already so for sure Booker and CP3 are going to step up, -10.5 might be high, but I think they can manage it since they are healthy again.

I also like the Nets chances against the Celtics, but I'll probably go with the live betting instead and see how Durant and Irving will do in the early going.

I think there's no problem with Durant and Irving as they normally lead the team. I don't know if this is a trap but I think the Celtics are just overrated here. If it's a trap, then probably the Celtics will win and cover, but if it's not, then might as well take the Moneyline for better odds.

Congratulations to the Ginebra Kings, that was always a comeback win by the Meralco Bolts but Ginebra keep their composure, and with the help of the fans, they were able to win and lead the series. Brownlee was the stop scorer with 40 points, but the locals of Ginebra really contributed especially Thompson who always had a triple double night.

Big win by Ginebra, it's Sunday and the crowd went to see their team. It looks like a home team (Ginebra) vs the visiting team scenario if you want to feel the atmosphere in the Arena, the fans are loud and they are in full support of their team. With what I see, I think there will be no game 7 anymore.

First game, that's a very important game for both, syempre Nets will try to win one game on the road para makuha nila ang advantage, so sabay na rin ako. GL
3777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 17, 2022, 11:35:25 AM
Congrats Spence. Almost, if refs did not pause the fight to check on Spence, Ugas could have go for a KO as one time in the fight he hurt Spence bad. The comments I saw were saying that refs are rigging the fight, I don't know, don't want to judge but it looks like it. LOL.

Anyway, this fight is very entertaining, it's a toe to toe fight and Spence showed his power if was a TKO (stoppage) because the doctor might not want to see Ugas blind if the fight still continues.

It's interesting to note though that the ref (Lawrence Cole) was the same ref on the Manny Pacquiao vs Antonio Margarito fight where he refuses to stop the fight even though the eyes of Margarito were damaged and bloodied on that day. Seems to me that he favored Margarito that day, the same that he favor Barrera in his first fight Pacman, just my cents lol.

This ref should be investigated, he was criticized by the announcer when he stop the fight a bit to give Spence a breather, that was wrong, Ugas could have KO Spence if ref did not do that because there was plenty of time left on that certain round.

There's no news about this yet, probably that wasn't big enough to create a controversy.
What people are talking about now is the potential big fight of Spence vs Crawford, I hope they'll be able to agree and finalized that fight this year.

Spence is holding plenty of belts, maybe 60% of the total split is justifiable for him.
3778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: April 16, 2022, 05:44:10 PM

In this fight, one of them will have a stain in their record after the match because a draw in this fight is so unlikely to happen. No doubt that Kambosos Jr. is a good decent boxer but Haney is more experienced and as per KO history, the latter have the advantage as well as the reach and technical capabilities. As said, this will be a tough one to see and will be a tight match because none of them is willing to take that stain in their record.

If Haney wins the fight he doesn't have to chase Ryan Garcia anymore he has all the belts while Garcia does not have a single one only a title internet superstar which is not a legit status in the world of boxing.

I remember years back Haney is chasing Garcia to fight him but his promotions don't like it if Haney wins the table is now turned Garcia will have no choice but to come to Haney.

Not sure if Garcia is still interested though, he fought Tagoe at a catchweight not the limit of 135 lbs, maybe he will go up in his next fight and obviously he can't make the 135 lbs division.

But in any case, a Haney victory will put in as the undisputed, but he has to deal with the more technical fighter in Loma to be call the best of this division. Even though he is the favorite, I think Kambosos has a good chance to win this fight.

I don't know why Garcia's camp is chasing and looking forward to have a fight against Kambosos Jr instead of Devin Haney as the latter is already interested at Garcia. It would make the fight more interesting if indeed they will clash, that's my opinion though. Back at the fight, Kambosos have the chance but that wouldn't suffice to take down Devin Haney and his capabilities in the boxing. This fight might go long and may result to a unanimous decision but I'm with Haney on this fight.

I also didn't understand how Rondo, with his experience, didn't get the exposure he needed specially in the 4th quarter.

But the Hawks can't really be denied in this season, they struggled early and just try to keep phase and was able to get into the play-in. This team was really carried by Trae Young with good supporting role players. But they good their hands full against the Heat in the first round.

Even Kevin Love was only given 10 minutes while Rondo had only 15 minutes in the entire game, I don't know what their coach is thinking because Rondo could've help the team along the way.

However, the Hawks is really creeping behind them every quarter and in the 4th quarter that's the time they overtake and lead the game. Trae Young contributed 38 points, 6 of that points was on the 1st half while the remaining 32 points was in the 2nd half. I wanna see Trae Young to have a duo in the next season.
3780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: April 16, 2022, 04:24:49 PM
I will cut your discussion guys about age issues and like to discuss this interesting topic.

If you guys noticed on the last fight of Donaire against a much younger like over 10+ years of age and in its prime, we saw the speed of Donaire doing some multiple jabs at the same time while connecting some strong punch as a combination. What Donaire did is, he just continue with that strategy until Gaballo feels the pain in his body then eventually he can't handle it anymore and goes down.

That strategy of Donaire requires a big amount of stamina and yet he managed to do it even already not in his prime. That shows us that an active boxer will defy his age. That strategy can work against Inoue but the amount of stamina should be doubled or tripled because after all, Naoya Inoue is on a different level and the most dangerous boxer currently at 117.

We all know how intense he is when he goes in training and stamina is one of things they take care to so for this its mot surprising to see him very  on this fight as Nonito is known to be a well disciplined fighter. Also he's fighting a bigger opponent which defeats him before so for sure there's no question about how hard his preparation taken for this fight and for sure he aim to take revenge then take the head of Inoue before he retires.

In terms of determination, we cannot really fathom how long and how far would Donaire take to step-up his game more especially for the fact that he had been defeated during their first encounter. That was his motivation and he will seek revenge knowing that Inoue could feel his punches, so he should connect more often than he did last time, I mean both of them will improve and we will see an another version to the both of them. This fight is surely an entertaining to see because both of them is willing to go for a toe-to-toe fight.
They would really be trying to improve on what they do have failed to do on that first encounter and on what are their lapses or trying out to enhance for them to take advantage for the next fight.

Donaire do really sees about the chance on taking down Inoue since he could really see that his punches are solid enough if we do base on previous after-fight physical appearance.
WE boxing fans are really that aiming for a good fight to look at and entertaining and this two boxers could really definitely do on what we are really liking to see.

Yes, I agree that both of them is taking some high to extreme measures to make sure that those mistakes and lapses that they did in their first encounter would not happen again in this fight and both of them surely have those knowledge on what are the points they needed to increase as they already know each others weaknesses and strengths. Nonetheless, this will be an entertaining fight to see and just like their first encounter, this will be also full of explosives.
