3781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for fashion business? on: January 20, 2017, 09:02:48 PM
I don't think there are many ladies using bitcoins, most bitcoin users are men. This idea is nice to allow bitcoin payments, but it won't be a big success as most population in the world don't use bitcoins and people buying fashion items principally.
Most bitcoin users are from poor countries and don't have much interest or money yet to buy fashion items. But your idea is nice and innovative, in the future many persons will be glad to your choice to implement this payment method.
Those are some pretty huge generalizations that you're making, not saying that you're wrong, just that if you're stating such things you should be backing it up by statistics.
3782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Conversion Website on: January 20, 2017, 08:59:57 PM
id say have a few items.
like a couple standard food items internationally recognised that dont fluctuate in price much.

a couple electronic items.. eg iphone is more popular than your microwave idea..

maybe car fuel or even when bitcoin creeps up in price.. a car itself
I'm surprised that you haven't mentioned Big Macs for price comparision (Big Mac Index -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Mac_Index).

The site itself looks pretty good, although I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have that moving background.
3783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for fashion business? on: January 20, 2017, 07:52:57 PM
I would say that if you could implement this at a low cost, why not try it? (I know that you've already implemented it, but this is what I would say to shops that haven't)
Perhaps you'll get some new customers that will use your shop just because you offer Bitcoin payments. I know that I've personally bought certain things that I normally wouldn't have, just because the shop in question accepted Bitcoin. (Shoutout to BeesBrothers)

As to offering Bitcoin payments devalueing your brand, I do not see why it would. It's just another payment option, so you're offering a better service to your customers.
3784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Donald Trump say "fake news" during inauguration? on: January 20, 2017, 07:48:42 PM
Did anyone bet on this? Haven't watched the whole inauguration, only parts of it and didn't hear any mention of 'fake news'.
On a side note: How do they even calculate the odds of something like this?
3785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Megaupload + Bitcoins on: January 20, 2017, 07:38:28 PM
Seems like we'll have to wait another day or two before he makes another announcement.
Here's an article from Torrentfreak about the subject:

3786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you burn your bitcoins IF something goes wrong? on: January 20, 2017, 07:34:38 PM
Better to just hold it instead of burning the coins even if the value goes to zero. We might come up with something better to do with those coins, who knows. By the way how do we burn our coins? Huh
Yeah I would hold them too, in case something else happens, or just as a memory if nothing does.
You can burn your coins by sending them to burner addresses.
3787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost $25,000 AUD in one fucking day on: January 20, 2017, 07:27:59 PM
Hey guys, thanks for all the advice.

I've decided that I'm not going to let this keep me down. I'm going to look for ways to make more money than ever and I believe I have found a way. I am going to PUBLICALLY set a goal.

I will aim to reach BTC100 by the end of 2017, that is my "new year resolution."

This will be done with NO gambling. I'm going to move my tiny mind into better, safer, opportunities with slower but more STABLE profit.

If anyone is interested in my plan, feel free to pm me. I may be willing to give you some advice Smiley
I hope you can keep it up, anyway, it's good that you've made the decision not to gamble anymore.
And I really hope that you can keep that promise to yourself, but if you can't, go and seek professional help because gambling addiction is nearly impossible to defeat on your own.

One last piece of advice, DO NOT START GAMBLING AGAIN, even with smaller amounts, it's a very slippery slope.
3788  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading ways on: January 20, 2017, 07:19:43 PM
I've recently started following The Cryptoverse on Youtube and I've found his segment on altcoins at the beginning of his daily shows pretty interesting and useful.

3789  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: App to Make Getting and Selling BTC Easier on: January 20, 2017, 05:51:23 PM
It's a pretty good idea, but I personally wouldn't use it, just because it seems somewhat dangerous to meet with complete strangers to do money/bitcoin transfers.
But I'm sure that it could work since LocalBitcoins is also pretty popular.

For cash, meeting up in person would be required. However, if it's card/bank transfer <-> crypto, then it's possible that they will not need to meet in person. Restrictions will probably be placed though with regards to geographic location to further reduce the amount of KYC/AML required as international transactions usually require more.
Oh yeah sorry, I understood it wrong then Smiley
Yeah if it's possible to have a non personal transaction, then I would definitely use this kind of service if needed.
3790  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Interest in a Bitcoin integrated chess website? on: January 20, 2017, 05:49:35 PM
I have yet to see any anti-cheat system to detect computer assisted play. Roll Eyes ... The only way this might work, would be to force speed chess.

This way the user will be penalized, while he inputs his opponents moves on a electronic device and waiting for the computer to make the

moves for him. People find ingenious solutions to cheat, so a smaller prize pot, would reduce the incentive to cheat.  Huh
I though that for example Pokerstars had a pretty good system for detecting bots, so why couldn't something like this work for online chess?

Would anyone be interested in a competitive chess website with payout being in BTC for wins?

Lol, seems like some sort of useless idea. Answer please (better to yourself) who will give this btc for players? You, or some sponsor? Or maybe it will be money from pool of other players, like in some championships?
And maybe it will be more easier to be payed in cash?  Smiley
And what your interest in it? Casinos making their money of taking it from their players.
I mean, that i love chess but it's seems useless. Better to use some ordinary chess sites. People, who really love chess playing for fun and impovement their skills and mind, not for money.
Why is this a useless idea? I'm sure there would be quite a lot of people interested if cheating could be prevented.
It's similar to poker and some of the problems are also similar (bots being used), so it seems like something that could be done.

You will probably not be able to prevent cheating 100% of the time, but enough to make most of the experience fair.

I mean, who will play on that site? Who will pay for games?
What kind of interest developer of that project have? That's the main questions that i have.
People who love chess and don't know nothing about cryptocurrency (85-90 % of polulation on the Earth) will use ordinary chess sites like https://chess24.com/en/play/ (first link that i've got in Google). Or some others sites, where you can be paid for a winning (and it's easier, because you're getting your money in fiat. BTC is excess element in that chain)
I would guess that even in the Bitcoin world, there are people who are interested in playing chess for money.
Granted, it would probably be a niche market, but it doesn't mean that it can't be profitable.
3791  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the price of Bitcoin change more than traditional currencies? on: January 20, 2017, 05:46:14 PM
Another reason why Bitcoin change more than traditional currencies is due to it's preceived store value.  Bitcoin has properties that maybe similar to gold.  Since the developer of the core technology limit the production to a fixed amount of 21 million and differs to fiat currency which is managed by government to maintain low inflation,as economies built with fiat currencies show signs or weaknees and  Investors may invest more or less into bitcoin.

I think so. because of the limitation of bitcoin, it makes the price does not stable. so when there are a lots of demands and people buy and sell using bitcoin, the price will increase and so the opposite.

while traditional currency is probably controlled by a community, but bitcoin is controlled by bitcoin users.

Bitcoin has very less number of users as compared to FIAT. Also Bitcoin does not adhere to geographical boundaries. What this means is the government as no control over it and they cannot manipulate prices as they do in case of FIAT. Because of all these factors and many others, bitcoin price can never be same and stable.
If Bitcoin had the same number of users as fiat, then the price would actually be somewhat more stable.
So don't say that Bitcoin can never be stable, it's simply not true.
3792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers Opinion Needed... What Else To Add? on: January 20, 2017, 04:54:37 PM
I've read pretty much every reply on this thread and I'm pretty sure that no-one has suggested adding Starcraft 2. (sorry if I missed a reply)
Would this be something that's possible? I mean, it might not be the most popular, but it still has a very decent sized fan-base.

I'm not even sure if there currently are any Bitcoin sportsbetting sites that offer SC2, so it might be a pretty profitable niche.

I can put it on the to do list. Although, it won't be added until someone volunteers to give out betting tips and write about news or the website income allows me to hire someone. Either way, it will be sitting on the to do list for awhile.

Nitrogen Sports has SC2 action if you're looking to bet on it.
Thanks for adding it, I hope you'll find some volunteers. I'd be up for writing some news, but wouldn't feel comfortable giving out betting tips.
3793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The greatest innovation? on: January 20, 2017, 04:39:27 PM
Personal computers were invented in 70s and Internet in 90s. Can we put blockchains to the list of the greatest innovation of Technology which was innovated in recent years? What do you think?
Blockchain is indeed a great innovation, but what I don't like is how some are trying to make it seem like that is the only good thing of bitcoin and they try to only take that part out of it, bitcoin in itself is even greater than the blockchain in my opinion but they don't want to recognize it out of fear.
I'm not sure if I would agree with that, at least not when you know that Bitcoin hasn't really risen to it's full potential.
Over the next couple of years it's possible that it could be replaced by an alternate crypto-currency.

The blockchain is the foundation on which Bitcoin is built, so I don't see how Bitcoin could be greater than the blockchain? In some sense, Bitcoin IS the blockchain.
3794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your game and why? on: January 20, 2017, 04:26:05 PM
Tough choice, I'm stuck between saying either slots, dice or roulette :p
I think I'd go with slots, just because I like playing when there's a big progressive jackpot involved, which is something you don't see other with those other games.

3796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If money would not be a problem, would you still gamble? on: January 20, 2017, 04:11:27 PM
Then it will not be a problem to gamble if money will not be a problem. You can see a number of rich gamblers in casinos they have their income sources as their business but they still gamble with some of their money and they gamble for their fun.
I would personally be scared to get addicted when I'd have a huge amount of money. What kind of win would really make you feel like you've won?
Seems like a recipe for addiction IMO.
3797  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CS:GO Bitcoin Key Bot on: January 20, 2017, 04:09:00 PM
Hey,

I am going start doing some tests on the bot. Bot will be ready soon probably, what you guys think the price should be for each copy?

Regards
You'd need to give out some test copies first to trusted members and after that you could perhaps run a poll to determine a correct price?
I'm not too familiar with the CSGO key market, so I'd have no idea what kind of profits could be made in, say, 1 day.

3799  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have about 50$ where to invest ? on: January 20, 2017, 02:38:05 AM
so what's the minimal amount to invest and get about 5$ per day ?!
In case of Crypto games, you can start investing from 0.01 BTC and you'd earn around 0.00001 BTC per pay, if you're lucky.
It might be better to save up a bit more and invest when you have a decent amount, like 1 or 2 Bitcoins
3800  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I Fell Into the Virwox $10 trap Again, Lol on: January 20, 2017, 02:33:23 AM
What is the legal loophole they use? In my country I can always buy Bitcoin instantly through Bitcoinic.nl (for Belgium and Netherlands), paying with my mobile banking app.

Aside from that I've used Virwox quite a lot in the past for buying Bitcoin with Paypal or Paysafecard, but their fees are just too high to make frequent use of it, like you probably know already :p
They also need to verify your account for 48 hours or so when first buying Bitcoin with Paypal, if I remember correctly. So not instant the first time Wink
