3781  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin fall below $20000 , it's a messy thread. on: March 10, 2023, 03:31:29 PM
Oh, finally a time to buy!

Thanks... Silvergate? Grin

I’ve been saying this will be the last dip to buy, but I’ll admit I’m a little concerned about the state of global investments right now. It looks like if we are due for a massive recession, it has begun. Now is the scary part where we wait for the government to realize we’ve overcorrected and they’ll need to apply stimulus to save people. So it’s all eyes on policymakers which with Biden in office trying to double people’s taxes overnight is a scary situation.
3782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the easiest way to explain bitcoin to a regular person? on: March 10, 2023, 03:28:19 PM
It depends on financial knowledge of the individual. Some people are completely clueless and can’t understand currency at all so the prerequisite knowledge is lacking to comprehend the innovation of immutable decentralized currencies. However, put them in a situation where they need to make an international transfer and have them compare the process to making a payment with Bitcoin and the advantages start to be too vast for anyone to ignore.

LOL. I’m sure Yogg probably appreciates seeing comments like this. I think you’re kidding, but there are a lot of crazies on the internet so don’t fire them up too much.

I’m a bit disappointed that Yogg didn’t stick around if this was just a bad gambling decision. I think those who call him a friend should talk him into joining a signature campaign and donating all of his proceeds to coldkey victims he stole from until they’re all paid back no matter how long it takes.

You don't get it and you clearly don't read replies. Yogg is NOT looking or logging into this forum at all. How Do I know that? Because I've posted it 10 times already and you're just a lazy shitposter for your 1 BTC a month from Stake.com... Get a real job loser... Cheesy

<end shit on Ognasty shitposts>

For the record I was ONLY rugged of a silver set. Did I seek refund from cygan? No. Do I want him to refund me? Hell no. Do I care if I get refunded? Not really, I've suffered much greater losses TBH.

Anyhow, yogg will shortly be living in the shitty parts of paris with probably a needle in his arma few times a day. Fuck that guy.

I don't believe in dwelling on anger and negativity. I've already moved on. I suggest you all try to as well, as dwelling on this POS is not worth the time or typing energy. Not mention it's just a waste of Internet as well.. Grin

You seem pretty angry and are dwelling on a hatred of me for years over god only knows what reason so excuse me if I believe you’ll continue being your same miserable self for years to come over this. My assumption was that people who call him a friend had other ways to contact him than this forum alone. Given the amount of people who claim to have conversed with him on various chat rooms, I think that is a safe assumption. +$4

Serious question, who do you hate more? Me, the guy who donates money and time to send BTC for over a decade to those who buy my goods, or Yogg, the guy who pretended to be your friend and then ripped you off?
3784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NYAG declares ETH as a Security on: March 10, 2023, 03:16:23 PM
It is no doubt that this is bad news for Ethereum but I’m not sure this is the end I’ll be all of the security conversation. There are so many alt coins out there that I think something a little more official and broad is going to have to be applied to them all. I also don’t think Ethereum is the biggest offender of security actions. This is starting to look like the beginning of the end for alts though.
3785  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will (probably) go lower. on: March 10, 2023, 03:14:03 PM
It feels like this is a drop in price due to global economic conditions. We seem to have reached a point where we’re going to find out if bitcoin is going to collapse with the rest of global assets, or if it’s going to soar in the face of a recession like some are hoping. I have my doubts, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed. However, I’m not sure that crossing your fingers is the best investment strategy.
3786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 10, 2023, 03:12:14 PM
No nationally televised games tonight, but there are a couple of lopsided match ups that might be worth betting on for a small win. The 76ers should be able to beat the trailblazers, and the nuggets should be able to beat the spurs no problem. Neither of those bets should pay much but they’re pretty safe bets. Might be good to combine some parlays.
3787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 10, 2023, 01:04:40 AM
The grizzlies are getting off to a pretty good start against the Warriors. I don’t think they’ll be able to maintain the lead the entire game because they’ve been shooting a crazy high percentage, so I think for the live bettors out there this might be an opportunity to get some pretty good odds on the Warriors ending up winning the game.
3788  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mt. Gox will release bitcoin in march - what's next? on: March 10, 2023, 12:59:20 AM
I’m not expecting to receive anything too soon. Maybe this summer but more likely toward the end of the year. That’s if I stick with the early lump sum payout. I’m seriously debating changing to the later payout as I think it might end up being significantly higher as a result of this clunky process and the amount of time that’s passed.
3789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 09, 2023, 09:11:12 PM
I can’t really say Shawn Kemp is relevant to today’s NBA but as a kid who used to watch him dunk over everyone back in the day I can say that I’m a little saddened by this news. It’s looking like he may be doing a decade or more in prison, as a result of the shooting, but the details are still somewhat unknown. However, having footage of him, pulling the trigger, isn’t going to do him any favors.

3791  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else agree that mtgox payout is keeping bitcoin down? on: March 09, 2023, 08:17:07 PM
Still getting mixed reports about MtGox. Many are speculating it will get delayed again and payouts for later in the year.

i just noticed the deadline for registering accounts needed for payout has been extended again.. from 10 MAR to 06 APR. at least thats what the mtgox site now says. havent seen anything else but im not looking too hard either.

Yes it was delayed again, According to,

https://cointelegraph.com/news/mt-gox-registration-deadline-pushed-for-another-month

The Registration deadline is pushed to April 6 and the distribution deadline is push from Septh 30th to Oct 31st.

All these delays must be driving the creditors mad.

I was just about to post this information myself after reading the email. One thing I did notice is that I had to re-register the payment information even though I had already done it previously. I almost missed this myself but thankfully I decided to double check before the deadline. This makes me think that taking an early pay out instead of the final lump sum might result in a much smaller payment because if I could’ve almost missed this detail of having to re-register my payment information, I’m sure others will as well. That to me explains why they are constantly pushing back the deadlines. Because I don’t think as many people are registering payment information as there should be so a lot of these funds are going to go unclaimed.
3792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 09, 2023, 08:13:31 PM
A couple games to watch tonight on TNT. First up is the grizzlies and the Warriors, which I think without Ja Morant is going to be a landslide victory for the warriors. Then you have the kings versus the Knicks, which is somewhat unusual for a TNT televised game. You don’t get to see the kings on national TV very often so I might have to watch that one.
3793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 09, 2023, 03:57:36 PM
I’m a bit in shock after seeing that Durant warmup video. Pretty rare for someone to get a level 2 sprain from a layup line. He could miss some of the playoffs as a result. I hope that’s an overreaction. I was hoping to see him play in person the regular season but I guess that’s not going to happen now..,,
3794  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will You Survive The Biden Regime? Liberal Media Ignores Massive Inflation... on: March 08, 2023, 10:39:25 PM
Governments lie, literally all of them do. They don’t care one bit about any of us. All they want is our votes, tgey don’t care about our well being at all. The cost of living crisis doesn’t bother them at all as long as we are able to continue to be good little worker ants & pay our taxes.

Hopefully inflation will go down to 2% or something but I think the standard of living is going to get worse for most people before it gets better. We are going to go into a deep recession, the government just won’t admit it yet..

The massive debt the government has accumulated has reached the point where cost of living and quality of life can only get worse in the United States for the foreseeable future.  The Biden administration has turned to using the covid stimulus as a ruse to pretend they’re lowering deficits and dumb people just believe them. At this point it might be best to focus on saving yourself.
3795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which project according to you is solving real world issues? on: March 08, 2023, 10:33:33 PM
Bitcoin obviously. When it comes to actual real world usage I don’t think any other coin or token even belongs in the same sentence. Since this is the altcoin section though, I’d say if I had a gun to my head to pick an alt that is doing anything to solve issues I would say MATIC. They have a pretty impressive list of partners. Namecoin also solves a major issue, but nobody seems to care.
3796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2022 bear market? on: March 08, 2023, 10:30:33 PM
As we have seen the bull market of 2021, history has shown there to be a following of a bear market in the next year (2022). What are your thoughts so far and how do you believe it will play out.

I think the bear market is still just starting, btc should now be around 16-22k on average price until 2025.

Your thoughts?

Looking back, this was one hell of a prediction. OP basically nailed the bottom long before it happened and even got pretty close on the trading range. It’s great to see predictions like this pan out so well. The average until 2025 part is in my opinion going to be wildly incorrect, but nailing the bear market bottom in advance is pretty impressive nonetheless.
3797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 08, 2023, 10:27:14 PM
Pretty emotional scene at Pau Gasol’s jersey retiring ceremony. Plenty of tears in the house seeing Pau’s Jersey hanging next to Kobe’s. The picture of Pau looking up with tears in his eyes is enough to put a lump in anyone’s throat. I’m glad that their jerseys get to hang next to each other forever. They were great friends and it still shows.
3798  Economy / Speculation / Re: Maybe it's time for BTC to take off and reach the $100K on: March 08, 2023, 03:14:45 PM
Tim Draper certainly agrees with you. He has been caught recently saying that he believes there is a 100% chance that bitcoin will reach a quarter million dollars by the year 2024. The last time Tim Draper had a crazy prediction about bitcoin. It turned out to come true. I believe the price was around $200 when he was claiming that it would be in the thousands and everyone thought he was crazy. It turns out he was dead on.
3799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 08, 2023, 03:12:53 PM
I thought that Conor McGregor and Jake Gyllenhaal using the latest UFC to film a scene for the movie roadhouse was pretty cool. You usually don’t see that sort of thing happen publicly for everyone to see and you usually don’t see so much commentary and news coverage about the filming of a movie scene. I would like to see more of this from the UFC.
3800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling using chip in money? on: March 08, 2023, 03:11:16 PM
I like most others have never bet using their friends money. I can’t imagine any of my friends wanting me to do the gambling instead of them just doing it themselves. Gambling is supposed to be about the entertainment, so giving your money to someone else would be like buying someone else a ticket to Disneyland instead of going yourself. It’s not quite the same.
