On the long term investment you don't really have the choice , it's either Bitcoin or Eth . Even tho Eth was called the bitcoin killer it didn't really made a huge success because miners sell their mined coins on a daily basis and like that the price won't be able to go high in a fast pace . But Eth really has everything to score a huge success , even one bigger than bitcoin because it got all the features that bitcoin hasn't ! I'm expecting Eth to hugely increase in value in the following year and if i were to invest in something other than bitcoin , Eth would be my optimal choice . Or you could just stick with the original of all cryptos , which is a more reasonable and safer decision .
This is better time for everyone to get into bitcoin or altcoins as they want to. Both bitcoin and altcoins have better rates now and it seems they both are being stable at this level for some time. There are some ways in that bitcoin may be mined by some of its miners but according to my point of view no one supply such a large amount of bitcoin. I believe that by the end of the year that BTC will hover around $9000 - 10000. Bitcoin is a survivor and the boost now is that Japan has officially legalize BTC in their country as a means of transaction.
I do not think that naming bitcoin by china can affect the price of bitcoin. It was a temporary dump but after some time bitcoin price really increase too much and now we can see that the price of bitcoin is trading above 6000$ and still continue to increasing. I think they will ban bitcoin because of the fearful that may affect of the economics of my country but i disagree there opinion because working bitcoin is very helpful for me especially the support financial.
I think government should know the advantages of bitcoin and how can it affect the economy as they will be shocked to know the power of bitcoin. For me both are profitable it can probably can give you a pot of income if you just do it wisely. But it depends on the person who will do it because for me investing is a form of a doing nothing thing, you will just need to be wise on finding a project to invest with then after that you will just wait on your money. While trading on the other hand is much riskier than investing, in this thing you need to be wise and you need to have a strategy but the good thing about this js you can gain profit more if you wanted to because you are the one controlling it. Actually every person is not for trading only neither he is for investing. You have to check what suits you. What are the best advantages one of these two can give you?Only then you can decide for one option. For me, like you said, trading is better too.
