Damn, some sell orders on polo today for under 1000 sat! Fell right into my lap!  lucky bastard  just woke up and missed that. but I too was able to grab around 50k last few days from ppl dumping below or around 1000sats hahahaha I even counter a kind of price suppression yesterday (decent sell order below 1000sats, wtf?). Completely fked up imho cuz nav price is already so suppressed. near 10k sats should be the price with the anon tech,features,new chain. BTW, devs : Is the talk with Poloniex for the swap still going on? I have some nav on polo, will wait a bit before moving them on bittrex yes we are in active contact with them and work on a solution! |

Are you saying the coins on poloniex and other exchanges are basically excluded from the swap? That would be dissapointing for a lot of people I presume.
I think so at this point. I agree that it would probably be a good idea to get Poloniex involved. I think Poloniex would be open to it since everyone would otherwise be moving all coins over to their competitor. Not sure if its too late at this point, but would be helpful to a lot of people. Poloniex currently has about 730k NAV on the sell side, which doesn't include the coins that are just sitting there. Please wait a sevond before reacting. We are in contact with polo and will bring you information as soon as we get an answer. I guess they will swap also. |

Awesome work guys ! you came through once again.

PR is loaded and ready, check.
community is ready to spread the word, check.
But is that enough ? I think we can do more, and need to do more to get us noticed with all that is going on in the crypto world right now.
The NAV team has done a fantastic job, let's us 'the community' step up our game to their level and add some fuel to this NAVtrain (corny? sure).
The main focal point of NAVcoin is the unbreakable anonymous transactions..... I have full faith in the product, but don't think this has made its way around the crypto world yet, lets try to change that.
I suggest we start another reward fund that would go to anyone who can trace an anonymous transaction. I think if we can amass a large enough bounty, maybe some serious players will give it their best shot. Let's get more people talking about NAVcoin.
I will start off the bounty with 50,000 NAV coins ! Anyone willing to help out, please speak up and help grow this bounty.
The first time around we managed to raise 10 BTC worth of NAV coins, but I know we can do better !
Guess I missed the bounty in January this year (seems a lot of us did from what i can tell), but I see a page was setup on our site to track it. Not sure if this is a good idea right now or not with the upcoming swap, will let the devs/community decide the best way to do this.
It has been way too quiet lately, lets come out from under this rock where we have been hiding and do our part to spread the word.

NAV Coin 2.0 Client release
Dear NAV Community!
We are glad to inform You that we have successfully finished testing NAV Coin 2.0 client. We can now proceed with swap process.
First phase is swap period on Bittrex Exchange:

We will now publish the code to Bittrex so they can prepare for the swap.
Once that is done we will announce the exact swap date that will take place on Bittrex.
We should know that date within a few days.
SWAP INSTRUCTIONS:
Please send all Your NAV coins to Your Bittrex account before the planned swap date.
Keep Your NAV coins on Bittrex until the end of swap procedure.
And that is all. Bittrex will automatically swap Your coins on the planned date.
DO NOT deposit Your old NAV coins to Bittrex after the swap, becouse they won't be able to credit deposits send to the old wallet.
DO NOT try to send Your coins between different wallet versions.
By doing so You risk losing Your coins.
After swapping use only the newest client.
SWAP RULES:
All coins will be swapped at a value of 1:1. You will still have exactly the same amount of NAV as you do now and there will still be the same total number of NAV as there are now, so your coin’s will retain the same value.
Swap period on Bittrex will take 2 weeks.
After that 2 week period time there will be no option to swap your coins using exchange and the old coins will no longer be valid on the exchanges.
We will offer additional 2 weeks of manual swap after that. To swap your coins manually you will need to contact Development Team directly and we can help you make the swap.
This procedure takes a lot of time and efforts, so please swap Your coins during first 2 weeks using Bittrex.
After the total 4 week swap period, the NAV Foundation will assume guardianship of any unclaimed coins. From then onwards users can contact us if they missed out on the swap and we will do our best to see they get their coins upgraded. Past that, the foundation will use the unswapped coins for covering the costs of new projects and server’s upkeep.

They are actually different coins completely so why expect complications?

If most of us swap coins wont the old blockchain grind to a halt without staking making it very difficult for people move and swap their coins and leave it vulnerable to attacks? making an automated system kinda risky ?

When you will finish Nav Staking Unit Linux wallet will be full working without making it myself on linux ?
Not everybody can make working linux wallet and compile from source ....
I no want staking Nav on my windows PC with 750Watts I paid more than electricity bills than take for staking coins.

anybody could provide some help how to sync from scratch?, I downloaded NAV wallet and delete everything but wallet.dat with .conf provided but chain seems stuck with 589k blocks left. From there blocks left just increasing... thanks in advance community
Best would be you download the blockchain data from our website. Unzip this inside the appdata working folder Navcoin. After this, you should come forward. Regards Shahim |

You need to compile the wallet yourself from the source code for linux. There are instructions in the source code itself on github. Perhaps get them to jump on the slack channel if they're unable to follow the instructions. Will NAV Coin 2.0 still be a Proof-Of-Stake coin or will there be a new Proof-Of-Work phase for mining new coins?
What will be the block time in the new blockchain, are there any block parameters changing?
Will we still be able to do anonymous tx on the new blockchain?

I was hoping for an update but this is more than I can handle I'm surprised that the recommended way to swap is though an exchange. I hope nothing goes wrong cause I have a significant amount and dont feel like keeping it there. Not after what happened with mintpal 2 years ago. I suppose we dont really have to do anything other than keep the coins in our bittrex accounts and wait for bittrex to credit them on a new address, and then we can withdraw on our new wallet, right? It is all coins from the faucet you have  After that you can of course withdraw your coins again. And after that 2 weeks you are also able to swap manually, like said. regards shahim |
