382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the odds of other outcomes matter to you? on: December 10, 2020, 07:42:41 PM
It doesn't matter the odds since you're betting for a specific match.
but if you know very well teams and are you enough confident, it could be possible get an advantage of the odds.
since an odds is a "probability", if you see an even that has an HIGHER odds respect what you can expect in that time, you have gained an advantage vd the bookie. if you're lucky enough = win the odds. in some cases it could be possible put a lay bet on exchange and get a quick/small profit.

In all the time I've watched football and hockey matches, I've sometimes seen matches where a weak team won against a favorite or played a draw with it. No one wants to risk large amounts of money because of an extremely small odds. Therefore, the size of the odds matters.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you trust, BNB or ETH? on: December 10, 2020, 07:11:17 PM
The value of BNB lies in the popularity of the Binance exchange and related services. If there are serious problems with the exchange, it will certainly affect the BNB coin. Ethereum does not have such a vulnerable point. Its ecosystem is much larger and is linked to hundreds of successful projects and services. Therefore, ETH is better.
It's true but we would not think of that yet, and Binance has proven themselves to be one of the best exchange in the market, they got hacked but they were able to survive, so I believe they are getting stronger as they continue to exist.

Leaders among exchanges do not last forever. One major hack of the exchange is enough to make it lose the trust of traders, which can seriously shake the trading volumes on it. Therefore, you should not think that Binance will be the leader among exchanges in the crypto market forever. What will happen to the exchange if the SEC suddenly decides to fine it a large amount of money or even ban its work?
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ahead of the launch, Libra changed its name on: December 09, 2020, 09:25:25 PM
Hello, friend.
There is such a wonderful site World Intellectual Property Organization where you can see information about registration of patents, trademarks and other objects that are intellectual property.
Here is what I found there at the request of the LIBRA:
https://www.wipo.int/tools/en/gsearch.html?cx=016458537594905406506%3Ahmturfwvzzq&cof=FORID%3A11&q=Libra#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=Libra&gsc.page=1

You have provided a good link that allows you to confirm my words that I said earlier about owning the Libra trademark. If you look at the decisions of the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, you can see that all the disputed decisions regarding the ownership of this trademark were made in favor of Facebook Inc.

I know a little about this organization and how it works, which is why I provided a link to it to help confirm what you said.

I've checked a few of them. They are about "Facebook-Libra" trademark, or "IBUK Libra" (some Polish library) and not trademark for the world Libra.

It all depends on what this brand is associated with. There may be several brands of "Libra". One will be associated with a coin in the crypto market, another may belong to foodstuffs, the third to diapers, and so on. The main thing is that there are not several products with the same brand names in the same category. Also, everything still depends on the countries for which the trademark registration is made. There are many nuances.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why would you host a ETH 2.0 validator node instead of going with Binance? on: December 09, 2020, 08:37:39 PM
That is what I am concerned about. However, being disconnected from Internet or electricity for even hours won't get you fined. But Vitalik had mentioned around 75% uptime (It was even less than that, I don't remember correctly) is fine as well. It is not that you won't be affected. Yes, you will be but it will still remain profitable.

Could you give me a link to similar words of Buterin. I didn't hear about the fact that node owners will be allowed to stay idle for 1/4 of the time. Previously, the developers focused on the fact that the nodes should work smoothly. Perhaps now, due to the large number of nodes, they decided to reduce the requirements for the time of operation of the node.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Blown Gambling Facts on: December 08, 2020, 09:37:01 PM
Many gamblers are trying to follow that luckiest gambler by playing more and more, but they forgot that the luckiest gambler has big luck, which can help him win huge jackpots. Not many gamblers can win that huge jackpot without having luck.

A gambler who is still playing gambling because of that story should have control over himself because if he didn't manage his control, he would lose his money at any minute. The passion for winning the jackpots will become bigger, especially if he can win more than 4 times. If his control is strong, he will know that his luck will never stay with him and help him get another win. He will stop playing gambling instead of continuing playing gambling.

Luck really works wonders. The same lottery is often won by people who accidentally bought a lottery ticket for change at a gas station. At the same time, there are people who have been purposefully playing lotteries for years in the hope of a big win, but they naturally do not succeed.
387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How tricky is this? on: December 08, 2020, 09:15:16 PM
There are hardly any people who don't care if they lost a lot of money or not while they can enjoy the game.
I sometimes play in ordinary casinos for fun, I have a certain amount of money that I can afford to lose. However I always regret losing, especially if it happens very quickly.
Normal!

We are just humans and we do really make those kind of reactions even someone do say that they do play for the sake of entertainment.
Our body would really be reacting and emotion will really be there because we are just humans and impossible for us to neglect or wont mind it much
because we dont like to lose money. So those kind of reactions isnt really that something new. Some people do just really expect that much
or being too confident that they can win anytime.

I don't like to lose money and I really play for fun. I see gambling as going to the movies, you don't expect to win anything with a ticket. You buy a ticket to enjoy the movie. So I'm enjoying the game. And when I win it brings double pleasure.
Trying to make money on gambling is a mistake. Only 1-2% of super lucky sons of bitches manage to do this. I'm not talking about professional poker players.

391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is uniswap a good place for the new tokens? on: December 05, 2020, 11:46:08 PM
Indeed Uniswap has became another etherdelta. A pleasant experience to start with but overwhelmed by scams and fake tokens. The orders book are not as large as a centralized exchange and you need a supported wallet. Though DEX are more secure if you are aware what and where you are using it but centralized exchange are much easier to use on the go with multiple device and connections.

If you have traded on these two DEX exchanges, you should have noticed an important difference. There were no liquidity providers on the Etherdelta, which is why there were very small trading volumes and there were so few people willing to trade there. With the help of liquidity pools Uniswap solved the problem of small trading volumes, which attracted a lot of traders and those who placed their coins in liquidity pools.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why would you host a ETH 2.0 validator node instead of going with Binance? on: December 05, 2020, 11:27:29 PM
Ethereum is stacking has some constraints restricting people from participating in beaconchain node validation. These are pretty solid:

1. 32 Ether as a minimum requirement
2. Technical and practical difficulties in hosting a node

At first, people don't have 32 ETH to take part. Now, people who are holding that much of Ether, they lack technical skills in hosting and maintaining validator node alive. Letting third-parties stake your 32 Ether on behalf of you has some trust issues and there will be a certain charge out of your APR. But Binance's ETH2.0 stacking service seems promising. First, we won't have any trust issues as most of us are using Binance on a primary basis. On the other hand, Binance is not charging fees as per their announcement for their service. (I am still trying to figure out the reason behind this) On top of that, Binance will bear the risk of on-chain penalties and credit stacking reward daily in terms of BETH. The double reward seems also good for early stackers,

So, can you guys let me know that why would you fall into a mess of creating and maintaining a node to get stacking reward instead of just letting Binance do this for you? Let's discuss.

It is not difficult to find 32 ether for people who have money. It is much more difficult to ensure uninterrupted operation of the computer on which the node will be installed for 2 years. If you suddenly lose electricity or Internet, your node will be disconnected from the network and you will get a fine for this. Personally me it is the main reason.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ahead of the launch, Libra changed its name on: December 05, 2020, 11:11:21 PM

Following your logic, campaigns like Apple, Amazon, and many others are also not a trademark and are not protected by law. Each trademark is registered in relation to a specific type of goods and services. I can't find a free article for you, because such information costs money. I suggest that you read the following document confirming that the Libra trademark is protected by law. Read carefully "goods and services", which is protected by the Libra trademark.

394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Both centralized exchanges and dex arent perfect on: December 05, 2020, 10:45:52 PM
Centralized exchanges can easily expose users data but they have the best platform for traders, highest volumes etc and on the other hand Decentralized exchanges have nothing to do with users data, pretty more safer than centralized exchanges but lacks good interface and also has high trading fee and of course lacks good volume, is there any where else to run to ?

Do you want people to tell you why they use decentralized exchanges or centralized ones? For me personally there are two reasons why I am afraid of centralized exchanges:
1. Most centralized exchanges require me to provide them with KYC data.
2. The coins that are on my exchange account do not actually belong to me.
As for trading volumes, transaction execution speed, and transaction fees, centralized exchanges are better than decentralized ones.
395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How tricky is this? on: December 05, 2020, 10:31:39 PM
Well, honestly, I don't think of preparing a cash out if I'm still playing.

I suggest one has to learn to be specific with their game plan, cash out when necessary and don't wait for another win before you cash out.

The thing is, we want to be profitable, and it's not wise to not think of enjoying your profit because gambling without direction will only left you unprofitable in the end, go with your plan, don't be greedy, just master yourself in doing the right thing and you'll eventually be consistent in the long run.

You cant say that people should really have that kind of plan because there are people or individuals doesnt really care if they do lost up the entire amount as long they do able to enjoy out the game.

What, then, are your claims against Ratimov? At the beginning, you write that there are sources, but they are not relevant:
Note: The sources that the author "allegedly" indicated are not really relevant to the case.
And then you write that they are, but specified for formality:
I did not say that there are no sources, they are for "formality", at the very bottom.
You would have already decided on the line of accusation.

Sources and are specified for formality, so that it is clear to everyone where the text was borrowed from and that it was not the author of the topic who composed it.

So, what is stopping you from wagering on this game like before?

Constructive criticism is welcome. Smiley

Perhaps you don't have enough ads your site on crypto forums?
In fact, here on the forum, people quite often arrange drawings of various coins and Souvenirs related to cryptocurrencies. There are free Raffles, and there are those where you need to pay a small amount of Bitcoins.
You may need to diversify your raffles and sometimes set up a coin or souvenir of a similar value as a prize. This could attract people to your site.
398  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbooks that aren’t paying out on Biden winning the US Presidential Election on: December 05, 2020, 09:29:46 PM
With now California officially certified, there is literally ZERO way that Trump could stay president. That is the topic here isn't it, for all the people who had 2 IQ to rub against, you would have realized that Biden won and it would be easily provable and there were never a single case of fraud that was helping Trump's case, if there were any that they could have proved, they would have done that already.

However sportsbooks that denied payment knew this too, they knew that Biden won, they knew that they would eventually have to pay, they knew the longer they wait, the result wouldn't change. What they have done is to manage disenfranchise the people who wager there, and caused them to find another place to gamble, which really hurts them as well, so it was a bad move.

It's not about whether Trump can prove something or not, whether he will win the court or not. The fact is that the president should be officially announced by the electoral college. Only at this moment, by law, the president is considered elected. Large media are not a college of electors, so some bookmakers are waiting for official recognition of Biden as president. As long as there is at least 1 chance that Trump can change something, they will not make payments.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the odds of other outcomes matter to you? on: December 05, 2020, 08:03:55 PM
Hehe, yes, it's no rocket science Smiley It's just this: Probabilty = 1/odds

1/1.46 = 0.68493
1/4.70 = 0.21276
1/5.68 = 0.17605

You can make a little Excel sheet with the above formulars and just put in the respective odds and have the (bookies/markets) probabilites in no time for lots of matches.

I would recommend to do your own analysis first and then afterwards compare it to the bookies probabilities. That way you are not biased Wink

For me, such a calculation is not difficult. However, the chance of occurrence of probability here is established in opinion of the bookmaker. I have always wondered how the bookmaker defines such probabilities. Of course, in this particular case I would also say that Chelsea is likely to win. However, I would not be able to determine the percentage of probability and set the right size of the odds. Bookmakers probably have much more complex formulas, quite close to rocket science.  Cheesy
400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: France's gambling recovers on: December 05, 2020, 03:32:12 PM
I do not think that the French authorities should be proud of the increase in tax collections received from the gambling sector, coming to the treasury from the pockets of their own citizens. They become poorer exactly as much as the state becomes richer. In my opinion, we can be proud of some upgrades in production, an increase in revenues to the country's budget from external sources, but not from the pockets of our own citizens, especially at the height of the pandemic when people are forced to spend more time at home.

I do not think that France is proud of such tax revenues. However, taxes are taxes. If people want to gamble, they will still play them. So let them play in French casinos and bring taxes to their country, than they will bring taxes to other countries.
