381  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: TradeHill silence... on: April 09, 2012, 08:49:46 AM
Same here. There were some problems with info about my bank account so I asked if it's possible to transfer bitcoins instead of EUR.
Since more people requested the same, Jered bought some bitcoins here on forum some time ago, for which I am thankfull, but no updates since then.
Regular updates on forum or on web page would be fine.

But also you have to realize that If everything what Tradehill is telling us is true, they lost a lot of money and now processing payments manualy without any profit.

I know that the final version is already out, but I would like to point at wrong translation in Slovak localization.
There is "Preklady" which means Translations instead of "Transakcie" which means Transactions in the top panel. Issue is already fixed on transifex and I want to make sure it will be updated in next release.
It is very confusing.

Also be carefull when entering private keys (of large wallets) to unverified mtgox account.
They are probably transfering the coins from your private key to shared wallet so your coins could stuck on mtgox until you verify your identity.

388  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How tyrannical is Bitmit to sellers? on: April 04, 2012, 12:50:32 AM
Advantage of bitmit over ebay is that communication between buyer and seller is not restricted.

Many miss-understandings can happen when you disable direct comunication.
In the end, only solution for me on ebay was to left negative feedback (first negative feedback for that seller). If there were any possibility to chat with seller for a while I think the problem could have been solved.

I have not bought or sell much, but my experience with bitmit is positive.
I have been scamed once and was offered help by bitmit owner. I let it be because I knew the risks from beginning.

I have no idea where's the issue, but exporting all private keys and importing them to new wallet should probably fix this.
I have no access to BTC client at the moment, so question for the advanced users:

What steps has to be taken to successfully export and import keys in 0.6?
I guess that decrypting the wallet, exporting with use of dumprivkey and then importing to new wallet should do the trick, right?

so, if i bought your game
My understanding is that if you buy, you will get the game. If you download for free, you will get game with miner.
Excellent idea!
395  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How do people have 20 mining rigs setup in 1 room without blowing a fuse? on: March 25, 2012, 08:11:19 AM
I have been thinking about solar powered FPGA rigs, but it's so huge one-time investment that I would need a loan.

Good to see more wallet apps but what about less-known platforms? WebOS app would be fantastic. Since apps for webos can be written in javascript (afaik) it shouldn't be hard to do.
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hide and Seek on: March 22, 2012, 09:08:01 PM
I am using only original satoshi client for larger transactions, but there is some python script that can generate private & public key pairs... I can't remember the name.

I prefere not to use online tools from random strangers when it comes to bitcoin handling, but this was small amount of coins.

It's whole line from left to right incl. spaces and special characters.
It's logical that it cannot be title or description of topic because those can be dynamicaly changed / moved / remoevd.
The string can be found on the page more than once.

I wonder how is it possible that people are complaining when someone offers them free money Cheesy

If it were 10 BTC, I might continue lol.

Now it's only 0.4945 Wink
Keep trying, it was not that hard...
