They got bitchslapped by the judge for running an unlicensed financial business.
Yes, but companies in France are required by law to have a bank account, so the judge also said that bank has to re-open the account.
Unlicensed fin. business is different story.

Also, try banks in Poland. They are usually more bitcoin-friendly.

If you have any involvement with I.T., you already know "Bitcoins" has been hacked and exploited in the past.
These myths are still around? Thank you mainstream media, Mt.Gox, TradeHill, Bitomat, Bitcoinica, Rackspace and others for damaging bitcoins PR and taking us years back to the past.
I am really amazed how people are brainwashed by SilkRoad stories in news.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: radioreference.com considering Bitcoin payments, but no interesst in Userbase on: January 11, 2013, 03:06:23 AM
It's scary and laughable at the same time. People researching bitcoins for months, or even considering to accept them for their services and yet, they don't know anything about how the system works. "New = scary" factor prevails the actual issues related to using bitcoins.
165  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping mall (Translators wanted) on: January 10, 2013, 10:35:09 PM
Congratulations, Tosaki. You have just ruined the rest of the reputation of Bitmit. I would be really surprised to see some big seller to come in right now.

What you can do:
1) Hire someone as an employee to take care of the servers while you are busy.
2) Sell PART of Bitmit to new partner who can do it.
2.1) Important part of this step is NOT to change your mind from one day to another, like Nefario did with GLBSE.
2.2) Also it should be someone you know personally, not just some random teenager from wherever, so it doesn't end up like Bitcoinica transition.
3) Move it to the cloud (Hell, I hate that word) to ensure high availibility.

If you choose to close instead of selling it, release the code please.
166  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When do you use your real name, if ever? on: January 10, 2013, 07:52:06 PM
I use my real name only when it comes to the Job interviews, communication between coworkers, communication with people that already met me IRL, or sending / receiving a package. For everything else, there is my nick. However, it's not difficult to dox me if you know the nick.
167  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [warning] bitmit.net was sold secret without telling the community. on: January 09, 2013, 10:45:43 PM
Why would a guy from Germany name himself tosaki and then sell everything to another guy from China?
168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Heat map 6 months on: January 09, 2013, 03:41:34 AM
Is it just me, or is it really looks like smaller version of May 2011 to Mar 2012?

as far I've already been administrator of several forums, I know what pain is, to clear bullshits. so no hate from me this time.
Welcome to the jungle. Because... regardless of the newbie restrictions, this IS a true jungle.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help - lost bitcoins!! on: December 31, 2012, 12:19:49 PM
Sorry to hear that. Yes, recently created keys are probably gone Sad
To prevent loosing your BTCs in future, add keypool=somelargenumber to bitcoin.conf. Default value is 100, so you need to back up your wallet after every 100 used addresses.

To recover most of your bitcoins, use most recent backup you have.

Some bastard "stole" your idea? Happens to me all the time. I hate it!
172  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Free Bitcoins to Everyone (mod note - pyramid scheme) on: December 31, 2012, 10:07:35 AM
I have nothing against pyramids if they advertise itself as a pyramid. It's like a lottery, but with better chance of winning. You pay for a chance to win money. I think Sergei Mavrodi is doing similar thing now.
173  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your most trusted way of communicating online? on: December 31, 2012, 08:34:54 AM
I mostly use my own jabber server with ssl and feel secure enough for usual communication. If I ever need more privacy I would use OTR plugin for pidgin (or finch). If you choose to use it, make sure you are using the latest version of Pidgin and OTR. There was critical bug discovered this year in OTR plugin.
174  Other / Meta / Re: POLL: Sales of hacked, compromised, and/or unauthorized transfers of accounts. on: December 30, 2012, 02:54:22 PM
I haven't seen any offer you are describing here on bitcointalk. Can you post link to some examples?
175  Other / Off-topic / Re: Parents need to bring back the belt! on: December 30, 2012, 06:55:26 AM
I don't have children myself, but I think it's the action/reaction thing. Look at fire for example. Every child would play with a lighter if they could until they burn their finger. If their fingers were fireproof, they will play with the lighter again and again and eventually burn down the house. I mean, if there is no negative reaction when he hit someone, he might not understand its "wrong" thing to do. It's just fun, so why not do it again?

edit_________
Or it's the reaction itself (attention) that he likes. You said he's usually doing that when none is looking Smiley

Ok. It's annoying that I have to sign up to answer the questions, but I'm starting to be curious about those questions if you cannot simply ask them publicly Smiley

... oh, I thought we are in self-bump thread.
178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I send bitcoins from my mining program(GUIminer) to my wallet on: December 27, 2012, 05:43:56 PM
You cannot manipulate with your bicoins with guiminer. What pool are you connected to?
179  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Want to change the WEB ? on: December 26, 2012, 01:36:21 PM
So.. you basically paid thousands of $ for youtube video wrapper written in javascript. Not really great decision. (I see you promoting the site 2nd time today, I don't believe you're not part of the crew)
Maybe you can find an investor to get some exclusive content. But film crowd-funding is just not really working yet without massive marketing campaign. Only one successfully crowd-funded project I know of, was The Tunnel.
But you can still try to cooperate with sites like piratemyfilm.com or vodo.net. They have some experience.
180  Economy / Speculation / Re: You guys gonna become paranoid about Ripple on: December 25, 2012, 11:03:23 PM
The more people are willing to accept other than national currency, the better for bitcoin. It's not important who's gonna do the marketing.
