I really cant see why there is still so much interest in PPC with such better alternatives out there, but hey, what do I know

Why are you making threads? Aren't you dead? I could think of a million reasons to come back from the afterlife, but making bitcointalk threads about Monero would be pretty low on my list.

Claymore, why the cpu miner has problems with performance in time (day and more). It's degrade. For example i got Xeon 2xE5645 in stock, it shows ~340H\s max performance and it starts decrease for 310 in end of 24 hours, then 280 and so on? Reboot helps but it repeat again. Core i7-2600K show the same result with degrade speed.
I had this same issue on 3.3, but 3.2 works fine for me. It could be totally irrelevant, but ive found a few random things will net more performance from Claymores CPU miner... 1.) Do not disable log files by using "-dbg -1" I found that doing so hurts the hashrate by 5-10 h/s. No idea why, but ive reproduced the issue on a couple other machines I have. 2.) To get the best hash rate shut down your computer, versus rebooting it. If I reboot my machine and load the CPU miner my hashrate will be 190-200 h/s and it will fluctuate. If I shut my computer then load the miner I get 225 h/s solid. None of these really make any sense as to why they work, but they have worked consistently for me. Good luck!

I've said it before, and ill say it again.. Those in possession of the exploit should execute it and be done with it. The constant barrage of inane banter regarding XMR is just a complete waste of everybody's time.

I live in Upstate NY, I will drive down and verify for the members here as I don't have the capacity to host so many units currently. No strings attached (The trip to NJ is worth it for White Castle and Pizzaland alone!). PM me your info and we can schedule a time that would work best for you. Thanks, and take care.
Regards,
Zachary

Here's a thought...
If it's going to happen... Then let it fucking happen already! To the l33t ones out there that are ready to kill XMR; please do it, PLEASE!!! If gifted programer's can perform this task it would send shockwaves through the crypto community. Killing a coin with such promise would be an unprecedented moment in the history of crypto as we know it, it could very well change the way we look at EVERYTHING moving forward. If you desire to make your statement, your time is now.
There is only so long that efforts like this can continue, this trend is almost out of time. Put your money where your mouth is or pound sand and let us get back to business.

It appears that Dirac may be removed from the Blake merged pools. Currently there is mud slinging between Bryce and BlueDragon747, but some serious details were revealed that were rather telling about XDQ and its dev. Also... Whatever happened to that poker game?

I actually managed to get in this giveaway, thanks for the XMR!

It's fine to periodically make a thread about Monero but spamming about it everyday? Come on.. that's information overload and it's going to scare away people from even considering your coin.
I agree as do many others, but making yet another thread isn't helping regardless of your intent.

My 2 satoshi's...
If you're looking to mine LTC then purchasing a Scrypt ASIC is the ONLY way to go now. You will see a far greater return using specialzed mining hardware, versus building a PC with the sole purpose of mining. That's not to say either option will be profitable for you, because most likely it wont be. If you really believe in LTC your best option is to buy it outright and hold.

Please help me to understand, what should I do with my NRS now? I have 5600NRS in my wallet, you have merged NRB+NRS and now? They are not longer valid?
They are no longer supported by NG. You will be getting new NRS. Please don't go dump your old NRS on people that are unaware of this. We tried to have the exchanges lock the market but they didn't respond. Let me see if I get this correctly... Current holders of NRS / NRB have been included in the snapshot for the new chain, however, all major exchanges are still trading on the old chain / codebase because they "didn't respond"... Now users are being urged not to dump their existing coins because of... The good natured spirit of cryptocurrency? The way I understand it is; currently the amount of NRS has effectively doubled because of the dual chain issue. Someone with 500 coins, now has 1000 but in a even 50/50 split. They have 500 NRS 1.0 which is the only variant of NRS currently traded, and 500 NRS 2.0 for which there is no current means of use. Does anyone else see a problem here? Regarding Price - In the last two days there was talk here (which has been edited since) that stated the price of NRS was on the rise. I checked Poloinex and found that this was indeed true, but like many other things revolving around NRS, this was only half of the story. Overall daily volume for NRS was less than 1.5BTC, the daily volume before this had been much lower. Sell orders for NRS were low, so the orderbook was padded with trivial amounts of NRS all the way up. These were in turn, quickly bought up by "someone" which raised the price temporarily, but any real selling pressure would have sent the price into a tailspin. Now that the artificial buy pressure is no longer there, the price of NRS as of today's date has dropped 86.4%. It wouldn't have taken much BTC to shoot the price of NRS to 20-30K during this time, but to sustain that price you would need mutual outside / unrelated parties willing to buy (and sell) at the same time to support those levels, and the real support for that simply wasn't there. These are my own personal opinions; perform your own research and come to your own conclusions regarding NRS. Full Disclosure = Former NRS miner / holder. Sold out at 14k and not planning re-entry. (edit's made to clean up post)

+1 for the dev fund
Add another to the list. Your pool is very innovative amongst the competition out there. All of the ideas here are positive, but giving back the the dev's is paramount for the longevity of XMR.

Hello rpietila, I've read your OP on different alt's (and rules), since this thread is titled the Altcoin Observer I felt this question was apropos... BC is designed a 100% premined pump&dump get-rich-quickly coin, which I did not touch when it was introduced to me in the early days of the first pump. Stay out (unless you like to be on the receiving end).
I currently hold BC and recently liquidated 33% of my holdings for XMR. I was curious as to why you hold these opinions regarding Blackcoin as I know none of these to be true. I realize this topic is trending towards Monero, but being that you're one of the reasons I have invested more in XMR, I thought I would ask. Thanks for your time. Regards, sgi02

It's not a bad idea, but the name SuperNet... It sounds like a high speed internet service catered to the 60+ crowd.

Monero is a unique coin, I would go as far to call it a great coin. The community is divided with XMR just like they have been with every other coin released up until this point. While freedom of speech is basically guaranteed here, it doesn't necessarily warrant a new thread for all inane banter one can produce. Perhaps this would be better suited in another Monero thread, goodness knows we have enough of them.
