381  Economy / Services / Re: [2 OPEN SLOTS] Rollin.io Signature & Avatar Campaign on: August 30, 2017, 02:06:33 AM
Hi guitarplinker,

I've decided to leave the campaign as well at the end of this month since the rates have been decreased.
I've been part of this campaign for 5 months (since April 1) and I can totally assure you that this is the best signature campaign I've ever been part of.

You're an incredible manager. God bless.
See you around again (maybe in another campaign Cheesy ).

Good  Luck
382  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How can an online exchange account be hacked with 2FA turned on? on: August 25, 2017, 04:13:54 AM
As you read the article, it was a phishing website where a new site is created as a copy of the old one to scam people.
Basically what it did was it logged in the fake website owner to the real bittrex, how ?

Let me explain.
1- Enter fake site
2- enter email and pass
3- fake site logs into real bittrex and enters the data you typed exactly
4- real site sends you 2fa code to make sure it's you
5- you only see the fake site
6- fake site asks you for the code and you enter it
7- fake site goes to real site and enters that code.

Congratulations, fake site owner is in your account and can withdraw all your coins easily.

Always be cautious and check the url more than once. Not only in exchanges but generally in anything that involves your money/assets/identity.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin now better coin? on: August 25, 2017, 04:05:24 AM
Am I the only one who sticks to trading coins that have been around for a while ?
I only trade Zcash and ETH and maybe some ZCL and LTC.
With small amounts only as well.

Although the movement in them might take a lot of time, but it always happens.
I prefer that to a coin which is not even established and can fall in any minute.
For example Eth increased a solid $20 per coin than Aug 21.

Just check the charts and see where the average is, buy when it's lower. WAIT. Sell when higher than it. Smile Smiley
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: please point me to the BCC/BCH tutorial posted by theymos to claim on: August 25, 2017, 03:59:35 AM
Since the split already happened some time ago, I don't know if you can still claim it.

Basically I put my bitcoins in an exchange (bittrex) which said that it supports bitcoin cash and automatically I got the same amount of bitcoins I had in BCH.
I was then able to trade them or withdraw them do anything. Just basically free money.

Any way here's the link that was posted in header of the forum.

385  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Noob question on: August 24, 2017, 03:01:39 PM
Well that's how trading anything works, right ?
Buy when low and sell when high.
But the thing is crypto currencies aren't stable at all. And that example is a rise of 10% ! Which is extremely difficult to achieve.
And you can buy today thinking that the price is low already and next day find it much lower !
That's way it's different than anything else (if you take stocks or gold into consideration as their price change range is somewhat small).

386  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie wants to know somethings on: August 24, 2017, 02:52:13 PM
Don't make your only aim on here is getting a rank so you can join a campaign.
Just learn more about crypto and bitcoins. Engage with the community. Ask questions.

Spend time around the forum and eventually you'll find that you're eligible to join one.
If you do this, your post quality will be good since you'll only post if you have something to discuss.

Remember: Campaign managers look at your past posts and if they see that you write low quality posts, they'll deny your application.
And by looking at your posts, they were all about "hey how can i earn more. "

Good luck
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum without miners? What do you think? on: August 24, 2017, 02:44:06 PM
Did you just give us the new idea of turning ethereum to proof of stake ?
And it's a new thing and asking us about our opinions ?

Mate I guess you're a little brand new or either too late to the party.
Because this POS thing is supposed to come some time in the next year.
And they've been talking about it for a long time now.

Just try to google "eth turning proof of stake".

POW or POS, ETH will always remain a shitcoin scam. I am astonished by the many ignorant/uninformed people that promote this 80% premined highly centralized scam.

Profits is what everyone cares about mate. I don't promote it but mine it and trade it. It gets me cash so I like it.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is so special about Bittrex? on: August 22, 2017, 06:07:47 PM
It's an advantage right ? If one exchange is doing everything right then I guess you should be happy with that?
At least it's the only exchange I've ever used and bought some weird coins from and never was late.

Deposits, withdrawals whatever.. It's fast.
If I was doing an ad for it, It'd have never been better that what I said lol Cheesy

390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple (XRP) going up on: August 22, 2017, 05:52:33 PM
Whatever happens I'll never look at Ripple as a coin that is useful.
It's simply a centralized coin which totally makes it against the reason why we're here with crypto currencies.

If it's XRP or a Bank, there's no difference. Self pumping and spreading people to talk about it here and there every some time so that a hype is made and people invest hoping to get money but actually the giants are the ones who make some profits.

Well Done  Wink
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CAUTION! Be safe about Starbase! on: August 22, 2017, 05:44:04 PM
I've never even heard about this project before Huh

People have to be alert and make enough research about any project before running and sending any cent to it.
Especially since so many ICOs and fundraising-based projects are coming out of nowhere and most of them are just trying to run away with some dollars.

I hope no much harm happens.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To Many SCAM! on: August 20, 2017, 05:34:45 PM
The sad story is many people start ICOs just for the sake of stealing money from people who are desperate for easily making money.
So you can see lots and lots of them around the internet but most of them are totally lies and scams.

Before sending any money here or there make enough researches about the project itself, the team behind it and then decide if it's gonna work. Remember that even if you make a topic asking for the most trusted projects, that's not the final answer (it's you)
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I NEVER discard private keys even after spent? on: August 20, 2017, 05:25:27 PM
If I had access to those private keys, would I have access to those Bitcoin Cash and all future forks?

You'd receive BitcoinCash or any other future forks only if that address had bitcoins in it. But since it was empty it would get you nothing.
BCH was given to people with addresses which HAD balance in bitcoins and they were given the exact same amount in BCH.

If you're talking generally. I guess why dispose of it? Like maybe one day someone will send you money by mistake lol. Cheesy
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: If i start mining ethereum by taking loan of 3000$ for 2 years , will it beneficial ? on: August 17, 2017, 09:45:50 PM
I'd say it's too risky to take a loan for mining.
Well, first of all profitability isn't stable. Profits for mining ether a few months ago was much higher than they're now.
So basically no one knows what's gonna happen next.

Another thing is the fact that Ethereum might turn to Proof of Stake any time.
That means mining ether will end and no one as well knows if other coins will give any profits.

In my opinion this is wrong and shouldn't be done. Try saving up money and buying the parts. Maybe not instantly but don't borrow.

Good luck
395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you push my Stuck USDT (bitcoin based) for a fee ? on: August 17, 2017, 09:40:57 PM
If you'd like send me the txid of the transaction and I'll try to do my best.
Not taking any fees though.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: next bitcoin fork in Nov? on: August 17, 2017, 09:29:19 PM
One hard fork already happened and bitcoincash was made. Noticed any change?
I mean did it affect bitcoin badly in any possible way? Absolutely not.

At this point, it doesn't really matter anymore. Let them create more and more useless altcoins which exist only for trading.

And where did you actually read that? Because it doesn't make sense. They didn't even see whether BCC is successful or not. It should take time.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Two GPUs on the same power cable ? on: August 14, 2017, 03:42:23 PM
Everything has been working fine for a week now.
Two gpus plugged one 6-pin and the other 8-pin.

I'm locking this thread as I guess there's nothing new that's gonna be added.

Thanks everybody who replied.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Two GPUs on the same power cable ? on: August 07, 2017, 01:03:28 PM
Yes, if they are 1060's with a single 6 pin connector, you can run 2 cards off one cable. I'm running an 8 x 1060 rig and I do 2 cards per power connector.
One is an msi which uses 8 pins and the other is asus (dual oc) which uses 6 pins. And a separate 8 pin asus (strix). Should be fine right ?

I also run the 1060's at 80% power since there is very little increase in performance above that so they're pulling under 100w each. I run 4 x 1060's, the motherboard, cpu, ssd, etc on an 850w, and the other 4 cards on a 750w. I thought I could do 2 x 750w but I had instabilities setting up the whole system when the cards are pulling the full power. When the power draw is decreased, people say 2 x 750w should be fine but the system is rock solid with an 850/750 combo.

Ok then. When I add more cards I'll get an 850w one to make it stable.  Smiley

Hi I have exactly such a configuration running since quite a time with 2 1060.. it's running just fine.
In the end this doesn't mean much but its a clear sign  Smiley

Thanks a lot mate. You just gave me a relief.
I'm the kinda guy who is too afraid that anything blows or something  Roll Eyes

399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Two GPUs on the same power cable ? on: August 07, 2017, 12:29:27 PM
Yes you can run 2 GPUs with that split-end cable. However...

Make sure you put GPUs close enough so the length is long enough

After a few hours touch the end of the cable going into the modular PSU and make sure its not burning hot. Sometimes there is a bad connection and they will melt.

Ok I just got the new gpu and connected them that way.
I'll keep an eye on that cable as you said and hopefully it won't burn or something *fingers crossed*

All of your questions depend upon what cards you have.

As a rule of thumb, nvidia cards use less power than AMD cards. What cards exactly are you using with this rig?

You'll also want to find out the power usage of your entire system. I use pcpartpicker for this. Most mobo+CPU+ram combos come out between 110W-150W... some CPUs use a lot more though.

Oh they're nvidia cards. To be specific they're gtx 1060s. And I just got to that site and in theory I can use 4 gpus but it's kinda risky.

The system without any gpus uses about 140w. And each card about 120w.

So (120*4 ) + 140= 620w.

And it should be able to handle 750w right ?
But I was told that I shouldn't try to push the PSU to the limit. So I'll buy another 750 or 850 one to be safe.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Two GPUs on the same power cable ? on: August 06, 2017, 05:32:44 AM
Hi

So basically I've got a cm750x corsair power supply and it doesn't have that many apots for gpus.
Only 3 and one goes for the cpu so two remain.

The thing is these cables are 6+2 pin connectors and at the end there's branching to give another 6+2 pins.

It's like what's in the image below:

The question is can two gpus be used on ghe same cable ?

And anither question is what is the maximum nuber of cards to work stable on a 750 watt psu ?

Ty in advance
