381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple: A revolution, or a pre-mined currency scam? ANALYSIS on: February 26, 2013, 04:31:26 AM
Let's stick to the question of the Ripple pre-mine.

Its not a premine as its not an actual coin imo, the correct word would be creation, as no mining is involved
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple: A revolution, or a pre-mined currency scam? ANALYSIS on: February 26, 2013, 04:13:30 AM
Personally, I'm glad Ripple is here to act as the canary in the coal mine for similar projects. We can at least agree they are running a lot more "hot" than Freicoin is.  Freicoin's distribution method does not involve us holding onto any tokens. To me it betrays the point of trying to make a more fair and decentralized economic system as an experiment. Keeping a large portion of the initial coins is greed with little reason. Ripple is building a dizzying array of well designed web services on their site. Why not distribute all the coin and "earn it back" by charging for their web services?

Please stop referring  to your failcoin, it has nothing to do with ripple anyway.
OpenCoin got the coins and distributes (some of) them via giveaways, you, on the other side, are "collecting" taxes from miners work, without even a faucet made by you and without doing anything actually.

YOU have NO right to speak about GREED and you know why (i guess.. if not, re-read all the failcoin threads)
And btw, wasnt you that was defending ripple the other day on some thread?

387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-E Closing RUCOIN on: February 23, 2013, 09:07:56 PM
Yup.. it was a good ride with much profit... lets see what happens with RUC from now on
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple bubble on: February 23, 2013, 09:06:56 PM
Then you will be investing heavily in FreiCoin also, I presume? The freicoin foundation has a timeline for when all (or most) of their coins are given away as charitable grants. Not the same thing as Ripple, with the IOU functionality, i know. But still: FreiCoin is also a non-miner initial distribution coin the same way Ripple is.

No way Ripple is the same as Frei's. Did galambo (for example) made a 50k giveaway thread? NO
in a week or two we will have another splash of FRC threads when the diff goes down, and then they all will go silent again when diff goes to 9k
How is is the same??
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: And it's gone: losing all your ripples in 0.01 seconds on: February 23, 2013, 09:00:20 PM
Turns out ripple has no way for an address to identify if it's supposed to accept plain ripples or IOU or whatever. Clicking deposit ripple on the bitstamp site takes you to a page setup to send them ripples if you have no IOUs in your account... and when you do— there is no way to get them back since their site is setup to work with the IOUs.

*poof*

I'm not sure if anyone has an explorer for ripple yet, but if so— you can see my doofus move at the XRP sends of rHs4j8RLTdgGiF3cBGv28tjVA5yfSi5C2L.

They said they're working with bitstamp to auto-return the XRP. Maybe you'll get them back at some point. For the meantime, I'm sending you some... <- EDIT: I misread, I thought you had no XRP left. If this is indeed true, tell me.

If you really want to sent some out, you can send some here: rwZ1LnRGDxkKUEKhGu7hYhmas2sapWMEjP
Thanks if any  Cheesy
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Worth attempting to solomine LTC on CPU getting ~31kh/s? on: February 23, 2013, 07:13:06 PM
Yeah, Ive tried to set it Scryptminer up for pooling but for whatever reason, it didnt work, Ive followed instructions to a T, and Ive kind of given up.

Im OK with high variance solo mining, I know it seems odd, but remember, Im a gambler at heart. I could find 3 blocks in 25 days. Or 0. Thats gambling.  Grin

My only question is now, will the 50 LTC reward just pop into my LTC client wallet assuming I eventually find a block?

Yes, it will be seen as an incoming transaction with a label "Mined", and will be "immature" till its mature to use
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple bubble on: February 23, 2013, 06:25:21 PM
i love it, it gonna be the "APPLE" of coins
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Worth attempting to solomine LTC on CPU getting ~31kh/s? on: February 23, 2013, 06:24:23 PM
no way! point HALF (put half the cores of your cpu inside the miners the client has) of your cpu to a pool like notroll.in and you could make ~1-1.5 a day
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Giveaway! on: February 23, 2013, 05:17:24 PM
I buy all your unwanted XPR's
PM me your offer
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Balthazar & BTC-e method on: February 23, 2013, 03:28:13 PM
maybe if you stopped bringing attention to it at every chance it would just die when whoever is funding it stops.

Doesn't everyone know that Balthazar is actually paying smoothie NVC to bring attention to it?

mubit is totally right, from my pov. What smoothie actually does (except bringing more attention to nvc) is boycotting btc-e to make his exchange or simply butthurt? (from my point of view again)
NVC now doesnt need any more attention as it got popular, and threads about how "scammy" it is die day to day now
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTS] [AUCTION] novacoin/rucoin domains & sites on: February 23, 2013, 03:08:53 PM
lol i cant keep up with those now that i start my job again, and what about "not even nethead", what am i?  Tongue

For rucoin i believe there is potential because its the ONLY totaly different coin.
For novacoin i believe there is potential because it came to stay, and there are "merchants" who are heavily working on their nvc shops, take that note seriously.

Im also thinking of closing the novacoin.org auction for now. But it definitely its not worthless, go see its value. RUC is kinda worthless for now, dunno for how long

Yes btc is that that i want, and thats the reason ppl mine alts, to get btc, though can be payed in novacoin/ltc/rucoin/usd(btc-e code) at btc bid value

396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [WTS] [AUCTION] novacoin.og rucoin.us -----> domains & sites on: February 23, 2013, 12:24:51 PM
(and i hope they dont end up with a "ITS A SCAM" page  Tongue )

Bidding starts at 5 bitcoins for each one.

What you get:
.rar with the site
domain fully paid for a whole year

Domains for auction:

novacoin.org - 5btc starting bid
rucoin.us - 5btc starting bid

You can bid on one or both

Hosting is not included and both have potential (even thou btc-e closed ruc exchange, it still has)

Biding ends 27/2/2013 09:27:10 AM

File another complaint on the SEC  Roll Eyes

Thanks for reminding me, op updated with address

You are retarded

Nethead reminds me of Ten98 the solidcoin troll. Borderline Psy also...even though i now respect Psy.

@Nethead, they paying you by the centimeter or the millimeter of the size of your penis to troll NVC opponents?  Cheesy Cheesy

Dunno about them both, but no i dont get payed... But i cannot understand why you have to be an opponent. You can use all the coins dude, noone can take that right from you, you prefered to bitch about it, and the only thing you successfully done is degrade ltc even more. And yes i use ltc too, but i dont get that mad as you, yup i dont have a contract Wink If you (all) ignored it from the first day it came out, it would have 0 value today, you did it, and that way i can make more by selling my mined coins Wink

EDIT: plus, now im not trolling

Tell me you didn't really contact the SEC? Bring unneeded attention to something that is just a complete gray area at best.  And one you are also you are also involved in.  Just like your comment says they couldn't care less about NVC but currency trade markets there's something interesting.  Just a bad move no matter what the intention.

Yes you would top many more lists than NVC or Balthazar.

That is why he shat his pants and he is selling his domain/serv
