381  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for a programmer!!! Bitfinex!!! on: November 24, 2017, 01:37:15 PM
Are you sure about this? Anyway, first of all - this post should have been in Marketplace> Services. Also, don't you think it's more practical for you to buy Gunbot and place it in Amazon's free web so it could run 24/7 even during your machine is at sleep? I guess there would be a lots of risk to have someone you don't know code for you. But anyway, this is your call. Good luck.
382  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Edwardard] Manager of the bounty of Dmarket - scammers! on: November 24, 2017, 01:22:09 PM
Does it even make any sense ? Lol.

Exactly! I am under the impression that the guy who posted this was someone Edwardad have rejected in one of his campaigns. Everything else that I would like to say were already said by my folks above there. Anyway, personally - I haven't got any problems with Edwardard everytime I am in his campaigns. This thread should be closed down already, what do you think?
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has lost 55% of its value on: November 24, 2017, 12:55:03 PM
Bitcoin currently has a marketcap of 135 bn$. But the whole collection of cryptocurrencies has a marketcap of 300 bn$. ( https://cryptocoincharts.info/coins/info )

If no-one had been able to create any other coins, Bitcoin would therefore have had a value of 300bn$, but is only at 135bn$.

This is a 55% drop in value

This is because it is easy to create more cryptocurrencies.

Value is not created out of thin air - everytime a new crypto is launched it drains away value from the other cryptos including from Bitcoin.

The loss until now is 55% and with a rapid increase in the amount of cryptos generated, both on their own and from forking Bitcoin, the inflation and degradation of value will continue
You must consider the pairings that the major exchanges has. So let's say a portion of the market cap went to altcoins, this doesn't really matter because they can not cash it out back to fiat unless they move back to BTC, LTC, ETH, or ETC... Also, please be informed that most of the altcoin traders are aiming to multiply their bitcoins that's why they trade. But to be honest, I don't get the whole point of this post. Are you impressing us to not patronize altcoins?
384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Suggestion to hypothetical portfolio scenario on: November 23, 2017, 12:56:33 PM
Good day all,

I'm in two minds currently and need someone to soundboard my idea against, what better place than on this forum Cheesy

What would you have done if you were in the following situation, this is obviously all hypothetical.. I'm asking for a friend  Roll Eyes

About 3 months ago you bought a few alts, say XRP, OMG, TRIG, NEO... ABY, SC, NBT etc. Now 3 months ago BTC was around $3200, you bought without putting any stop losses on your investments (noob error I know, I'll tell my friend  Roll Eyes), today you log into your account, BTC is $8200 (more than double) and your alts have bled, bled badly. For example TRIG drop -300%, OMG drop by more than half of the price you bought ect.

The situation does not look that bleak really as the price of Bitcoin more than doubled, so even though your Bitcoin bag almost halved (quantity) the USD equivalent is still stable, meaning your investment in USD was $XYZ, it's still $XYZ, just a fraction less in value... If you withdraw now your initial investment would be save.

Now the reason you entered into alts and traded with BTC as a trading pair was to increase your BTC bag, buy alts low, sell alts high, take profit in means of BTC and thus increase your overall BTC bag (quantity).

Now at this point in time you have 2 options:

Option 1: HODL, hold your alts, ride out the wave, do not sell your alts until they at least break even of make a 5% profit (quantity). This is a long-term choice as it could take months if not years...

Option 2: Sell your alts now, take the BTC loss (quantity) while the alts are bleeding and the streets are running with blood.

Now Option 2 has a A and B section, Section A, reinvest your BTC in alts again while they are in the dip (yes possibly make the same mistake). Section B, keep you BTC in your wallet, with the fork coming in December BTC should just increase...

To hold you alts is the obvious answer (I think), but what if you are itching to trade... Itching to spin the weel again and hope for the best...

Your opinion is much appreciated Wink

Tough one! ha! Anyway, If I own that portfolio, I wouldn't sell anything right now. Why? If I sell those altcoins and buy bitcoins, I would only gain about 20% once bitcoin has reached $10000, and I assume that profit wouldn't even cover your loss. Now, those altcoins would definitely go up next year once the bitcoin price stabilizes. One thing is for sure, people doesn't want their money to be stagnant. So once it happens, people will go back to altcoins and trade...

After you have recovered from your loss, I strongly suggest that you sell those altcoins immediately, then buy bitcoins, and forget about it. Put it in a hard wallet and move on with your life... if you feel the itch of trading, then trade using fresh fiat. That will give you a red light, then take your time, soon the itch will be gone. hahaha!

Take my word, son - there is no other way to get rich in crypto rather than buy bitcoins and HODL! You may hear some genius advice from people telling you how to trade successfully, some will even give you awesome tips... but keep this in your mind, YOU ARE NOT THEM, AND THEY ARE NOT YOU...whatever works for them doesn't mean will work for you.

But one thing is for sure, BTC will keep its price raising every year, and every year... so again, BUY BITCOIN AND FORGET ABOUT IT. cheers.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about BCC/BCH ? on: November 23, 2017, 12:29:51 PM
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a new altcoin sharing with Bitcoin its blockchain ledger only up to Aug 1 12:20. So Bitcoiners dont need to be worry about this altcoin, it has separate blockchain from Bitcoin already.
Nope, BCH is something that I totally worry about as long as Roger Ver is still alive. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I really panic everytime the idea about the miners switching from BTC to BCH comes to my mind. BCH "can" actually kill bitcoin because the community was infected by noobs and mainstream thinkers. Once they see the BTC price is going down while BCH goes up, panic comes in... and then it suddenly becomes contagious. And then here comes the miners playing as double agents. Man, I really hate Roger Ver.

386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash fraud on: November 23, 2017, 12:11:10 PM
Seems many are still holding onto the bitcoin cash fraud.

apparently there is more bitcoin cash circulating than BTC! How is that? With so many like myself who were shut out of BCC renumeration for lack of trust in our local exchanges.

Seems like these rogue BCC exchanges have already cashed in my BCC! WTF!

If BCC is not a forking scam, then why isn't there BCC for me? I bought plenty of BTC before the fork.

Fork the forksters and scamsters.
You didn't have your BCH because you stored your bitcoins somewhere which isn't going to support the fork. You should have used a hardwallet in the first place because according to you - I bought plenty of BTC before the fork.. Who's in a right mind will store "plenty" of BTC in an online exchange?

The coin is not a scam, its more on like something we called dividends. The people behind it are the scammers. And again, screw Roger Ver.
387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wealth Managers Being Bombarded With Investor Requests to Buy Bitcoin on: November 23, 2017, 03:40:32 AM
According to Kevin Grimes, president of Grimes and Co., it’s best to sell enough of your position to get your original investment out, but he’s still very strongly advising holding some position in the cryptocurrency. He says: - Well, this is actually how it works, don't you think? I mean, early adapters have taken out their initial investments for sure, and what remains in their wallets are their gains. These wealth managers / financial advisors aren't really serving their purpose at all. The best advise that they can give is to become fearless in losing money. They should have advised their clients to buy bitcoins with the money they don't need, forget about it, and enjoy once they retire.

I have a mind-flipping question, though... why do these people need wealth managers to buy bitcoins?
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 Tips For New Bitcoin Investors on: November 23, 2017, 03:26:41 AM
Well, those tips aren't for bitcoin alone, those are also applicable to stock markets. Anyway, I'll give you my top 5 -

1. buy bitcoins using money that you DON'T need and store it in a hardware wallet
2. place your hardware somewhere you can't see everyday
3. repeat #1 regularly.
4. forget about your bitcoins
5. check on it by 2020.

I had lost money in trading but fortunately I learned by experience that it is always profitable to HODL bitcoins. 2 weeks ago I sold a portion of my bitcoins because of fear (you know what am talkin about, right?)... if only I had followed my top 5 strictly, I wouldn't lose profits due to FUD.

PS: I'm still mad at Roger Ver and his greedy ass.
389  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best online payment method for Bitcoin that cannot be charged back? on: November 22, 2017, 02:14:30 PM
Hi,

What is the best way to accept payment for Bitcoin online that cannot be charged back after the purchaser gets the Bitcoin?

TIA
Are you sure you are not talking about an Escrow? If you are selling bitcoins online and you want to assure yourself about the money then you can get an escrow guy which will receive both your bitcoin and the cash. Once both parties are ok, the escrow will send you the money and the bitcoin to the buyer. You just have to keep in mind that escrow services aren't free at all. But you may try to look for someone in this forum who offers escrow services in exchange to a +trust. You may visit the services section of the tread if you like.

I can actually escrow if you like. but my services aren't free  Grin

Cheers!
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash on: November 22, 2017, 01:58:50 PM
At this moment, the rate of 1200 for Cash. I think that it will decline until the end of the week. Bitcoin is above 7000. So the credibility has returned to it. Pump is over, I suppose.
and going down
I am glad that you don't support BCH's advocs. By the way, have you sold all of your BCH last "pumped" Sunday? If you did so, then congrats to you... Now, my homie have this theory that BCH is Roger's pump coin, meaning he doesn't really have plans for it but to use it as his "fiat generating asset". If you will be patient enough to watch the price fall down, you may want to consider buying it back in a few months. Roger Ver will soon make another FUD against Bitcoin and people will possibly panic buying BCH. Don't take my word, but instead, make your own research and check the history of BCH a few months back.

And hey, one more thing... read the article about Angel Coin, you may want to consider holding some. cheers!
391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Look how fast Bitcoin is moving on: November 22, 2017, 01:43:13 PM
This is the key argument for people promoting Bitcoin: Look how where we were a few months ago and look where we are now. It is only going faster - you should join.

This means that these people have jumped out of an airplane with no parachute.

They are now halfway down and are telling their friends: Look how well this is working, and it is going faster and faster.

When you tell the people they are going to crash-land, they just tell you it is FUD and that in their experience things have been going great since they jumped out of the airplane.
What is your point, bro? Your noobness shouldn't be an excuse to make these stupid comments publicly against bitcoins. First of all, what did you mean by When you tell the people they are going to crash-land, they just tell you it is FUD and that in their experience things have been going great since they jumped out of the airplane.? are you telling us that bitcoin is really going to crash soon and no one from here believes it? And instead, we spread rumors without any basis at all? It seems like you really do not know what "decentralization" means. Compared to the stock market - there is no regulating body for bitcoins - SO THIS MEANS the price will continue to go up as long as the demand is higher than the supply, in other words, as long as most of us HODL to it, and new people are wanting to invest or have a piece of share from the limited supply, the price will definitely go up.

Stock market is regulated by SEC which means that if their price is seems to high, the regulating body will correct it, and eventually will go back to it's fair price. NOT WITH BITCOIN... no one will regulate the price of bitcoin... the price is the transparent representation of the real supply vs demand equation.

Now here is a piece of advise, next time please make sure that you know A LOT about bitcoins and trading before you open your bubble mouth. Also use google translate so we could understand you better.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to generate a secure Bitcoin Address on: November 22, 2017, 01:29:36 PM
I dont have good luck in trading now, so i decided to just keep my bitcoin in a wallet and let the value grow it self. I believe it will grow more.

But may I know is there a way to generate a secure bitcoin wallet aside from Bitcoin core?

I dont trust jaxx, electrum as there are some horror stories from it.

Hey dude, I can just actually send you a private message but I prefer to transact with you publicly. I am selling hardware wallets, these are multi-coin hardware which you can use to store your bitcoins for long term. I sell it for $134 but you must pay for the shipping. I assume you are from the Philippines, aren't you?

If your budget was a little tight, I can sell my pre-loved hardware wallet but it only supports bitcoins and bitcoin cash. You may upgrade it via Windows 7 to support 2x coin in the future. Asking price is $76 for it. If you live near my spot, I can actually hand it over to you personally. Don't worry about the security because as soon as I hand you over the actual hardware, I would not have access to it at all.

Again, I transacted with you publicly so that you know that I am legit. Cheers!
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now its India's turn.Indian Supreme court asks government to regulate bitcoin on: November 21, 2017, 12:32:06 PM
USA,CANADA, CHINA and now INDIA.
Its growing. Now India is trying to regulate Bitcoin.

Source : https://www.coindesk.com/indias-supreme-court-calls-government-regulate-bitcoin/

Though the correction on the website says that the court just asked the government to respond to a petition, but it can be foreseen that, Its India's turn to regulate ICO's or Bitcoin.
What happens if India regulate bitcoin and ban all exchanges. How do we Indians get our money back in INR( Indian currency) which we have invested in Bitcoin?
Don't be worried about how you can sell your bitcoins to fiat, there is always a person to buy bitcoins whether from India or a different country. You know what, following this kind of news/circulation will only spread the nasty news which may cause FUD. Just buy and HODL until your target price, that is the whole point of having bitcoin. You shouldn't really be bothered about how are you going to convert your bitcoin to fiat if it hasn't reach the target price in the first place.
394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To the moon? (regarding BTC = $8000) on: November 20, 2017, 01:54:41 PM
Yeah, my target price was actually $10,000 before the end of December but unfortunately I sold my shit around $7000 because of the recent FUD. Right now I am waiting for a dip before it goes to the "moon" again. I hope this ride will let me in first before it throttles.
395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the price when you buy bitcoins, and how much do you want to sell on: November 20, 2017, 01:47:31 PM
As I observed, the price of bitcoin is slowly dropping, I think you must still wait for the price to drop more before you buy. I think some of us making a panic selling again. But I don't think that it will affect the price of bitcoin in the future, I know bitcoin will still increase in the future so it is good to buy bitcoin today for an investment.
Obviously I missed it because I haven't been paying special attention to bitcoin lately. Oh my god, what a pity
Ok here is a piece of advise, create an account in Poloniex and place an order around $7700 - I am not sure if the price would fall that hard from today's $8000 but atleast you could give it a try rather than just watching it. If you can't trade full time, you better stick to placing orders.
396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to overcome the fear of holding? on: November 20, 2017, 01:43:05 PM
I've always been one who sells to earlier, either to minimize my losses or to realize my earnings ASAP and leave. I've seen in most of my investments, if not all that if I would've just left the coins there they would've been worth 10-50x what I put in before. This is upsetting as a person and trader, as I see how much money I'm missing out on.

How do you traders do it, hold and hold and hold. Waiting around for more and more money?

Tell me, you had sold your bitcoins when the BCH scammed our community, hadn't you? Well, you are not alone. I'll be honest with you, dude - I was holding my bitcoins for the longest time and I had overcome all the previous FUDs - but Roger Ver and McAfee's FUD hit me so damn hard that I had lost my faith in bitcoin. So to your question, my answer is "don't watch the graph, don't read the news, don't browse on twitter". If you want to HODL big time, then just buy your coin, keep it intact, and forget about it. I guess that's the biggest lesson that I had learned the HARDEST way.

By the way, I really wanna give McAfee and Roger Ver an all time high middle finger. That's all a poor man like me can do.
397  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin soars $8000, Is this is the best opportunity to sell BTC? on: November 20, 2017, 01:35:24 PM
Bitcoin soars $8000, Is this is the best opportunity to sell BTC?
Sell it dude, we need some corrections this week because the price went all time high again. Honestly I am looking for a perfect entry price since I sold some of my coins a couple of Sundays ago due to panic. Sometimes taking profit is healthy for you, so people like me could buy and wait for my target price and then sell... then it's your turn again.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All the Dramas, Twists and Turns of Bitcoin on: November 20, 2017, 02:59:42 AM
Man, the huge emotional decision that I have made was a couple of Sundays ago. That fall was huge, and I honestly lose faith to BTC because of these greedy bastards manipulating the weak. Anyway, I have this strong feeling that it will never be too late for those who sold to buy back again. Looking towards the $10000 mark by the end of year.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in Altcoins on: November 19, 2017, 11:27:29 AM
if you have 1000$ and want to invest it in which altcoins will make it Huh

-BCH
-BTG
-ETH
-others
My personal pick for now is Litecoin. I believe in it's vision, and they are not too far from Satoshi's point of view. By the way, I want to introduce you to Angel Token, it says to be the world's most (almost) risk-free ICO. I have read the whitepaper and I suggest you should too. Once this token goes boom, I'll treat you guys with free beers.
400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading questions on: November 19, 2017, 11:23:42 AM
•In converting Bitcoins to money is still called trading?

•In connection with the percentage or price of bitcoins I will go and exchange it to buy in lower price value and sell and high?

•Will that be a good help? for make my money anonymously grow?
Any kind of exchange is called TRADING, it doesn't matter whether you swap your bitcoins to chicken, cow, or hogs. Now, regarding your second query, yes that is the best way to grow profits for your fiat. Buy bitcoins every dip and then sell it once it reached your estimated target price. A piece of advise though, don't be greedy because most of the time, greed melts down profits. Cheers!
