3801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the classroom, yes or no and why? on: January 15, 2017, 01:49:40 AM
This is for a personal writing project I'm working on. I imagine that Bitcoin would be good for things like teaching things like math with decimals ("How many Satoshis do you need to get a tenth of a Bitcoin?", stuff like that), budgeting (Spend it on whatever you want, but when it's gone, it's gone), or even a little bit of IT / programming stuff like how cryptography works. What do you guys think of this?

I think it would be good to considering teaching it for Economics subject and bitcoin can be an example of how a country's economy is.
Its going top be easier for the students to learned trading as well because of it. The universities in our country don't even teach FOREX and so if bitcoin can be taught, they may be able to understand well with economics and trading.
3802  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: January 15, 2017, 01:41:31 AM
-snip-
earning from these websites is higher but for that you will require a hard struggle to bring huge traffic to your websites for that you will have to work more than what we do for active income and after that we can consider it as passive income when there will be enough traffic that we ourself will not require to promote it further.

it really isn't that hard. this technique is also like any other job and needs experience. the same way you need experience to do any other job successfully.
it comes down to SEO, content, advertising, design and so many other smaller factors but the good news is that things aren't that hard to learn.
Yeah its isn't hard if you hire someone to make you a website and if you're choosing website as your passive income just take the responsibility to maintain the website content.

Driving traffic to a website actually is hard to do and its a lot harder to maintain the number of traffic monthly. Getting the traffic for free is the hardest than buying from the adnetworks. The SEO and creating articles for the site, isn't as easy as you think. I was reading it last night for I tried learning it again and google is really making it hard for webmasters to earn bucks a month considering hte factors these days where one of it is that today's generation prefer to watch youtube than reading contents.
3803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you trust Poloniex? on: January 15, 2017, 01:27:18 AM
I've heard they were hacked once and they repay those hacked coins from their users, I don't have any means to validate these information but if  they did this then I guess they really are that sincere to what they are doing. The volume of tokens that were listed on the exchange is a lot better than the rest of the exchange. Must be a very trusted exchange. If they wanna scam people they could scam when BTC price reached 1000+ USD.

3804  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which coin to trade base on thier statistics? on: January 13, 2017, 07:33:54 AM

if you are to start trading on altcoins, what sort of consideration should check before buying?

Should you chose Ripple because of their high volume per day yet the price is just cents and the total supply is 33 trillion or should I chose go to trade with low supply like Monero because the price is more than $10?

What are the things you consider before buying a coin, its Market Cap, Price, Available Supply and volume?

there are too many things to consider when trading and price + volume is one of them which is also one of the most important things.

i always look at the trade volume but remember to check the volume for previous days, weeks, and look at the bigger picture not just last 24 hours or 2, 3 days.

and then comes price, remember that when price is 0.01BTC 100% rise means going to 0.02BTC and that is very hard. but when price is 100 satoshi for example 100% profit means going to 200 satoshi and that is much easier.

none of the things i said are rules, and they have exceptions but they are good guidelines in my opinion.

I use to invest to coins with such price such as Golem Project for its cheaper but that is for long term. The feature of the coin is also a factor like should i choose monero when there is an emerging market of SDC?

If i have to trade and get out after a busy day, which should i try to trade?  Should i chose a coin that recently dip for may be -10%?

3805  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Investing in Cloud Mining Still Profitable ?? on: January 13, 2017, 07:21:42 AM
Weren't cloud mining companies going to turn scam later?
I use to have some account to these companies back 2014 to which they sell pretty cheap, after i year i still didn't earn back the initial amount invested to it.

I think some of these cloud mining companies pay hundreds of $ for a good review.
3806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Zcash? on: January 13, 2017, 07:12:08 AM
Hii everyone, just started mining yesterday for the first time.. I have a GPU radeon RX470 4GB power colour, my total speed is around 233 H/s as shown in the attached picture. I just want to confirm that the total speed is correct for my specified GPU?? I have shown my wallet fund also because it dont seems profitable to me, and is the mining fees good?? any comments would be much appreciated..

How much watts does your power supply has to make this GPU mining set up work?
Been planing to also try mining lately using the claymore which i will mine Monero and zcash.

I do think zcash has superior technology but it seem to comel late where some good anon already is in the market.
3807  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-01-12]EU Planning a Database That Link User IDs to Cryptocurrency Wallets on: January 13, 2017, 07:07:31 AM
So bitcoin user will only have on btc address?
That is not ideal for someone who is into ilegal stuff lol
Infact once a bitxoin address is being used just once, some of us already will dispose the addRess to leave no trace of identity.

Its a wasteful practice but yes most of us do it.
3808  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: January 13, 2017, 07:00:37 AM
Was thinking also of creating a youtube channel that I could use to earn passive income. I saw a tutorial on how to actually do this, i think that was from udemy.com. Titlted as far as i can remember was "earn from youtube without video editing skills".

The guy who share this tutorial has channels featuring politics and wars - he sometimes feature north korea and south korea dispute.
3809  Other / Meta / Re: What bugs me about this forum somehow on: January 13, 2017, 12:52:28 AM
The foru. Isn't centralized as far as i know. We pretty much can do whatever we want here in the forum but like in the offline world, there are consequences to all actions.

There had been a lot of discussions on improving the system but i think the only that aren't organized are those who usually break rules. things in the real world are censored and so should the online world.

Good news.
Rewards will be higher with desktop staking! Where can we see some rough estimation for how much rewards will be?
I'm not just only who thought of setting their desktop for the purpose of gaining PSB by staking for as long as they could.

3811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: January 12, 2017, 03:31:52 PM
I did regret at some point when i tried to sell mine during the first days of ICN. but then the BTC I got was also invested on monero to which I have earned 60% of my investment. Now I'm starting roll these money to trade well in crypto, I think I'm starting to learn well in trading and hope to learn good with ICN as well.

I have bought back my ICN recently and will make a good timing one again, hopefully if its going to be red for maybe 2%.
3812  Economy / Speculation / Re: 780 broken.. 500 .. maybe even 220-240 again... ? on: January 12, 2017, 02:55:15 PM
$220-240 I think would be too much to speculate, BTC won't be dipping that low because by the time its value will be dragged to $500 and starts to climb a little, everyone who dumped their btc since the price drop to $1018 and up are going to start buying back. They won't even wait for the price to dip below 700, investors will soon start to buy back.

UPDATE
--03 Jan 2017--
To get more support by giving everyone the opportunity to participate in this project, and after analyzing the community's opinion, we come to the conclusion that we should extend the advertising campaign and delay the ICO until the district platform BETA has been released.
--We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by this delay--

Great! Would like to also see the beta version of the platform. When can it possibly be available to be tested?
You should update the OP regarding this so anyone who has interest will learn abou this.
3816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | FLASH | next-gen ad network - crowdsale started on Bittrex ONE WEEK LEFT on: January 03, 2017, 07:38:18 AM
Bump, how is going dev, I wish you guys happy new year, and raise as much as, any more news about ICO and development?

The MEGA Crowdfund has raised 52.86 BTC. CONGRATS
I don't think you should congratulate them. Their goal is reach a minimum amount of 200btc and so far they only raised 52+btc. And it is already on the last week of the ICO.

Seem too few for a good project. It should habe been promoted on webmasters forum like warriorforum or digitalpoint where the users are mostly using adnetworks and bitcoins.

3818  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature Campaigns: Worth The Time? on: January 02, 2017, 12:51:47 PM
if signature campaign just give me about 400$ i could be doing this the whole day. i could spend 10 hours a day online just liking facebook photos and here in bitcointalk. unfortunately not.
3819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: December 31, 2016, 04:37:53 AM

2017 will be a very exciting year for BitBay.
We will fork to POS3 in january, so check in often the next two weeks to keep updated.
The fork will lay the groundwork for cold staking, pegging, and more  Smiley

Happy new year

Will it really have the chance after all the decentralized market being created these days, it seem like there are much competition going on. It will be good if bitbay will progress though. imagine how much profit will an investor get if he invest today because the price is cheap.
3820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: YoBit.Net - CRYPTOCURRENCY EXCHANGE & MultiCoin DICE - Free Coins every 1-24 hrs on: December 31, 2016, 03:11:43 AM
What happen yobit why you ban me? i just contacting support because the button is not working and now he ban me after few hours..
I can't see any reason why he ban me in this case..
How about you guys who still member of yobit campaign.. i think yobit turning into scam soon..
If you talking about button which sends signature campaign earnings to your ballance, this question was asked hundreds of times and campaign mannager clearly explained it. It looks like Yobit tired to get such questions.
I know that thing i just inform them early via support but i just reporting it in support ticket but after reporting they reply me that they update soon.
After few hours and check again the button if it's ok but the button still not working and notice they remove or ban me for no reason..
I think they can't pay for their participant and they are not let you know to remove you in campaign.without reason because of reporting about button.. that honestly not in the list of campaign rules..
I hope that they can explain why i am ban without any reason i just inform them about the issue..

The first rule of the YoBit Signature Campaign is: You do not talk about the Button. The second rule of the YoBit Signature Campaign is: You do not talk about The Button. Third rule of the YoBit Signature Campaign is: You do not talk about The Button. Fourth of rule the YoBit Signature Campaign is: You do not talk about The Button.

Information is great, that's why it is there instead of posting useless nonsense that has been answered hundreds if not thousands of times and eventually users got the hint during the ban wave.... "You do not talk about The Button.
Lol you don't understand what i mean i never talk about button here i just inform them i repeat i just inform them about the button early..
So that they know that the campaign balance need to refill i am not talking about button here..
I just inform them about the button. Via support ticket..

I know what you are trying to say but the thing you are not acknowledging is that you "mentioned the button" it doesn't matter if you said it here or there, we were all told not to talk or ask about the button and just have patience, that is probably why you got banned/booted because they knew what they had to do and to them you were hounding them with something they already know about, so they replied in the nicest way in a support ticket and then let you loose into the wild Cheesy

lol people already know the button don't work for days and this had been explained thousands times.

If there is a chance to join to yobit, i really would love to though. i was just kicked due to inactivity. I sometimes just can't login for weeks due to my previous job back then. Wish they will allow us to rejoin once again.
