The One Esports Singapore Major is about to come. But there were a lot of substitutes for some teams because some of their players got tested positive for covid-19. They're at least 5 players got tested positive and won't be able to attend but were replaced.

yooo, this is key info! 👍 i was ready to start throwing mbtc to teams i didn't know were going to have stand-ins. Kinda sucks that mind_control won't be part of Nigma. And Navi will miss two players, devastating blow.
2 more days!
Actually there's another update about NaVi, they're no longer going to play and also beastcoast. This virus has really made a lot of unexpected things and even this awaited first LAN during the pandemic has broken our expectation.
Kuku won't be able to play and other players too, that's just sad but still the action goes on March 27.
Can't wait for the event to start. no matter we are missing a couple of players I am excited to see my first DOTA LAN event. I got into eSports only during pandemic when "regular" sports were on pause. I am also curious to see how top teams from different regions match up.
There's one actually that have already started in China just a week or two ago but it's only for Chinese players. But this one is massive and as what we're always waiting for, a major which is one of the passes for the teams to earn their ticket to The International which has a higher prize pool. Through winning this major, they'll get DPC points as needed for the TI. I can't wait, just a day and several hours left.
3802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nicole wants to give up her taxi in exchange for bitcoin on: March 25, 2021, 09:46:56 PM
You should know the story first why she has to give up her taxi and what made her mind using the money for bitcoin. All of us are saying that everyone should buy bitcoin.
But once we know the story of the person why they're doing decisions that are good at our first thought, there must be a deeper story and meaning why she has to do that. I hope that she does not experience that much problem for her decision while we're waiting for a higher ATH.

3804  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going down $50k soon, what's next? on: March 25, 2021, 07:23:17 PM
That could be one reason why there's a sudden plummet that we see. What we only like is the going up soon but we're not ready when we see bitcoin go down fast.
$52k as I'm typing this and it's not a bad price to look at. 5% - 10% drop isn't not that bad at all. And currently that was a 7% drop that we're looking at and before it's time to recover, buy.
3805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If stock market starts to crater, should we switch to BTC or USD? on: March 24, 2021, 10:22:03 PM
Just make sure that you know which works for you the best. In my opinion, it will work best if I'll have more bitcoin than the altcoins that I have. But I don't think that I'll sell some of the altcoins on my stash if there's no need to. Yes, we've seen the correlation of stocks to the bitcoin market and which finally affects the whole crypto market. I'll be on both market, bitcoin and alts and have it stay there and would only get into fiat if I need money.

3807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's 21 million limit on: March 24, 2021, 08:09:13 PM
21 million supply of bitcoin won't change forever. It's there to stay and can't be modified. As said explained well by ranochigo, there has been a lot of "upgrades" made by those fork coins and have replaced the supply limit into lower or higher one dependent from their stand towards the upgrade that they want.
But at the end, they're not bitcoin but only became forked coins or mere altcoins.
3808  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trading on exchanges. What’s behind it? on: March 24, 2021, 07:05:42 PM
I think this was already discussed when people have found out about PayPal's new news about their adoption and addition for buying crypto into their platform.
I get your thought about exchanges having off chain transactions and that's fine that they do it to save fees and there's no problem if you're looking at it. It saves you and them fees. And as for the supply limit of crypto, yes, that matters. And it all relies to the law of supply and demand how to determine the value of a crypto.
3809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Getting a new coin listed on an exchange on: March 23, 2021, 10:13:14 PM
How much should you pay to get your coin listed on an exchange ?
Inquire to different exchanges for you to have an idea how much they're asking for a coin to be listed and what are the other requirements they need.

I know it all depends but what is the cheapest and most expensive, what should I expect. They all seem shady, plus why should I pay when I could just start my own exchange.
Then that you're only getting an idea how much it is if you want to make your own exchange. But establishing its reputation is harder than you can imagine.
3810  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers always hunt for the greedy ones on: March 23, 2021, 09:09:47 PM
It reminds me of a scam that had happened with me, I don't exactly remember the exact amount, the person was offering Bitcoins through localbitcoins at really very cheap price but I was an idiot back then, can't really blame myself either, I was immature and a kid, so the person was selling bitcoin through "offline" as in face to face and in localbitcoins (idk the recent rules) if you purchase face to face, the escrow system is optional and that person sent me a screenshot (fake one) that escrow is on and I can pay, and silly me, I paid and he blocked me instantly. Later, I came to know about it and found on Google he was a big scammer and has done it with many people. He was later arrested as well I guess, and that time bitcoin was like really low in price so my around $50 worth of coins would have been so much now Grin lessons really learnt in hard way and really as you said, greed is lethal and can lead to even death if not controlled in time.
That's hell of an experience but I'm more concerned if you are still holding a lot by this time. Those offers that we see on P2P exchanges needs to be taken seriously if you're mostly doing trades there. As for me, I don't have to worry about it because I only trade on spot exchanges. Sometimes you'll really going to be tempted doing the trade if you find it beneficial and higher than the others but you shouldn't go in an instant if it's too good and deceiving.
3811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there other alt coins like USDT/C that track prices of real world assets? on: March 23, 2021, 08:04:31 PM
What I only know this time is the Digital Gold(GOLD) because they have an active signature campaign.

But you can also go to coingecko and filter all the asset class that you want to find.

3812  Economy / Economics / Re: America stimulus support add strength to the dollar as investment increase on: March 23, 2021, 06:59:52 PM
That's actually the purpose of the stimulus and they seem to be not showing any clue when they're going to start. And after that, we might see the negative impact of it on the economy.

2) Other currencies are printing a lot more. Let's not forget what's going on with the Turkish lira lately.
Most of the countries are coping up with a recovery plan and mostly, they've the same plan of printing money to give aid for the response to the economic fall down due to the pandemic.
3813  Economy / Speculation / Re: The reasons why Bitcoin price drops recently on: March 23, 2021, 05:58:02 PM
can the price go down to 40k?
Yes. The chances are there and that's what volatility can do to bitcoin. If the price can go down as much as $40k or even lower than that, we have a good news that bitcoin can also go as high as what we can imagine or more than $100k.

Will we still be in a bull market if we drop to 40 thousand?
Yes we will because the bull market support is somewhere around 38 thousand. 40 is still a bull market.
I also consider that even if bitcoin drops to $40k, that's still far from the past months prices.

3816  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Bank of Nigeria Official Reiterates Nigerian Residents Free to Trade BTC on: March 21, 2021, 10:40:39 PM
Quote
A senior executive with Nigeria’s central bank, Adamu Lamtek, has reportedly denied that his institution had placed restrictions on the use of cryptocurrencies. Instead, Lamtek, who is the deputy governor responsible for corporates services at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), says his organisation’s directive only applies to the banking sector.
Source: https://news.bitcoin.com/central-bank-of-nigeria-official-reiterates-nigerian-residents-free-to-trade-cryptos-directive-only-applies-to-banking-sector

As a Nigerian I can confirm this particular quote from Mr Adamu is false and CBN has restricted Nigerians from using Bank accounts to buy cryptocurrencies. Though P2P has been done smoothly but there are high rate of scams involved.. People have lost huge some of money through this medium because of holistic approach by the CBN.
And that restriction from CBN using bank accounts for crypto isn't allowed? there's no ban but there's a restriction attaching your bank accounts for crypto purchases? that's like a lite ban for me however, the clarification about imposing the ban is good that it was cleared.
Too sad that there were scams being involved through P2P and it happens everywhere. For you guys there, just be careful whenever you trade P2P and always verify first your trades.
3817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency still being discussed in Nigerian Television on: March 21, 2021, 09:45:10 PM
Good to see that national TV covering some alts.  Grin
But this is a good news that from what I've read is that they're no longer imposing a ban, right? An exposure for the other citizens that were watching during that time.
3818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which platforms ? on: March 21, 2021, 07:48:57 PM
Im thinking to bsc & eth ,  but im not sure which one has better chance to be listing on exchangers ,  Binance wont list its tokens?
Binance will list the token if they find it great based on their own terms. In ETH, the only problem that you're about to deal is the high fees. Other than that, you have no problem with ETH because it's still the most preferred smart contract of most projects. But AFAIK, they're about to solve it in the next few months so that's an ease for you and other project makers and as well as us who do transactions through it.
3819  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quit My Full Time Job to Trade Cryptos Full Time on: March 20, 2021, 09:07:32 PM
It's always risky quitting a job but if what you're doing works go for it!
Yeah, that's what he did because it's worked for him and made a significant amount of money. And whoever in that position and finds his job not enjoyable anymore but has an option to stay as a trader, they'll definitely choose their passion and the job that they're happy to work with even for longer hours. In trading, there's no required time but most of the traders that have been into it spends a lot of time and sometimes longer than the office hours.
Passion is one of the considerations which man would really be seeking of and would love to engage without any hesitance. If you do have work but doesnt have that kind of passion inside then
you wont really be enjoying those and its just right to find up other things which will really be fulfilling out on what you are looking for.If you do find out that you are sustainable with your
current trading activity then why wont transfer into that one? As long you can sustain and able to live your life with it then dont hesitate to do that even most people
do see this as a risky step but you would have the advantage when it comes to profit or money making opportunities.
Yeah, that makes it for someone who chooses this side to be passionate, enjoying and also profitable. That's an all in all dream of many people that are struggling staying to a job that they have hated but they have no choice but to provide thus, they stay.
It is risky but it is also rewarding and OP and the other people that have chosen this field to become a full time trader aware of that consequence but they can take it emotionally.
3820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best 5 Altcoins to buy right now. My picks on: March 20, 2021, 07:38:57 PM
On your 5 top coins, I'd be only choosing kusama and dot. I've been noticing that stable growth of kusama and never did any research about it until you've said it's a wild cousin and that means that it's codebase is almost the same as DOT based from its description on its website.
Chiliz, I've been seeing this coin being suggested in many groups online and also seen a post that it was advertised through a baseball game, IIRC and CMIIW.
