3821  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] 1Broker.com - Trade forex, indices, stocks and commodities on: June 16, 2015, 10:36:37 AM
In OP you mention a trade of price going up 1% and then getting 101% back. I guess fees arent included in that since trading against high fees, like on bitfinex, is really hard with 1% profits. Odds are too hard against you. So i think it would be better to have real example, including fees. Though thats only my opinion.

Why no BTC-USD or something like that? Do you trade on real markets or are you a bookmaker only?
3822  Economy / Gambling / Re: Binary Options - Legendary Auto Trader - 347 $ profits in 11 days on: June 16, 2015, 10:26:41 AM
But at least I am not such a jerk as your are and I know how to behave and why not go f*** yourself instead ?

I wish you wouldnt contradict yourself with the second part of your sentence...  Roll Eyes

Anyway... i checked your images... the first one shows a loss of $38 actually. The second image shows a profit of $606. Your third image and your second one somehow show that you always bid more on winning bets than on losing bets. Im not sure a software could predict when its better to bid high because it will win.

The risk that you only took the good trades to show them is high unfortunately. Even when it works. Getting 80% back but having the chance to lose 100%? That means a house advantage of 10 or 20% (Im not sure how its calculated and dont bother to check.)

Thats hefty. On top the monthly fee. And do you have to pay trading fees on top?

Indamuck is right to warn. Things like that are VERY often scams. Though you will read everytime that someone tried it at the end. Mostly without the big luck.
3823  Other / Meta / Re: An apology... on: June 16, 2015, 10:10:29 AM
Its good that you apologize. Very few have the inner size to act this way. So i think its good that theymos is ok with it.

Though what i was wondering about your story from the start... you always wrote offline computer. It didnt make sense to me that your wife took away your "offline computer" after seeing the posts. When it was an offline computer then she most probably did not see the posts on there. Then why should she go, see the posts on your online computer and then kidnap your offline one?  Roll Eyes
3824  Other / Meta / Re: Why move all threads regarding the fork to Altcoin Discussion? on: June 16, 2015, 09:58:16 AM
Ah ok, that makes sense then. Bitcoin XT will be an altcoin when established.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

even I know how you mean it, for majority of visitors, this may be quite confusing statement..anyway, I like it Tongue

It wasnt meant as a joke. Though im happy when i could serve you some good laugh... Cheesy

I mean Mike Hearn is connected to the bitcoin xt project (its a private project of a company), which will be a fork of our bitcoin, though it wont be the real bitcoin anymore, so an altcoin.  Hearn wanted to extort users by claiming "when you dont let me implement 20MB Blocks into the real bitcoin then i will leave development and go to bitcoin xt". He and his business partners probably hoped to make bitcoin xt the "new" real bitcoin then. And when i see how many users already downloaded the bitcoin xt wallet then i guess it might become a not small altcoin.

But when the community agrees and 20mb blocks are implemented then bitcoin will remain bitcoin. bitcoin xt will be a small altcoin only.

Im not sure if Hearn refers to bitcoin xt as the normal 20mb bitcoin too. That would not be so cool since surely this will be some kind of brand and it wont belong to the community. Though it would be even worse if the old bitcoin dies and the community would switch to bitcoin xt on a whole. That would mean bitcoin would be somewhat in the hands of a company. At least the development part. Which is a huge influence.

At the end our actual bitcoin, our bitcoin forked for 20MB and bitcoin xt forked for 20mb are all bitcoin but only one bitcoin can survive. All others will be altcoins. Smiley

What i fear is that the community will be split. When i read that chinese exchanges dont want the 20mb blocks then i wonder what will happen if a fork happens. Will we have 2 bitcoins where maybe 50% of users think their blockchain is the real bitcoin? One uses the one wallet, the other half another wallet. Some exchanges trade the one bitcoin, others the others. And all treat "their" bitcoin as the one with value.

I fear that this situation might lead to real price problems. I mean you cant simply double the value of a currency by copying it.

I know many think community will stay united and there will be a clear winner. But for me it does not look that way and i wonder what will happen...
3825  Other / Meta / Re: Why move all threads regarding the fork to Altcoin Discussion? on: June 16, 2015, 08:54:33 AM
All of the moderators have orders from the administrators to move threads solely about Bitcoin XT to the alt currencies section. Threads involving both Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin XT are allowed to stay in Bitcoin discussion.

As I mentioned in that PM, this policy only applies to XT once it is actually modified such that it diverges from the Bitcoin network/currency, which is not yet the case. It's an awfully complicated issue, and this was sort of buried near the bottom of my three-page justification PM, so I don't blame you/anyone for missing it.

Ah ok, that makes sense then. Bitcoin XT will be an altcoin when established.
3826  Economy / Services / Re: DA DICE Signature Campaign 2.O - Pay Per Post & Fixed Campaign Thread on: June 16, 2015, 08:47:57 AM
Looks like the escrow address has unsufficient balance to pay the current post count. I might be wrong but the second number is the deposited coin and the first number is the amount of coins that would be paid out when payment would be instantly happening. Right?

We do not know how many btc needed to pay all posts for this week. I think the amount you see on the spreadsheet is total amount if all participants make 100 constructive posts. As I know, the average payment for a week is around 3btc, and now current escrow address has more than 5btc..So I'm sure it is enough to pay this week campaign.
Correct me if I was wrong.

Yeah, the payment will be around 2.5 to 3.5 approx. which is covered. I will ask dadice to refill the escrow anyway. Smiley

Edit: The first number is the maximum amount if every participant makes 100 constructive posts and includes bonus like panjul07 said.

Ah ok... i really thought the number is updating automatically and shows the amount to be paid when all actual posts have to be paid now.
3827  Other / Politics & Society / Re: McDonald’s Is Days From Opening Restaurant Run Entirely By Robots on: June 16, 2015, 08:40:34 AM
I also hope it will bring prices down at macdonaldses in comparision with other fast food restourants.

I don't think so. Their prices are more or less reasonable. The only thing is that they should bring more quality and better hygiene to their food. May be they should use more organic food instead of all those processed items. And using robots might be expensive. The cheapest versions can cost as much as a few hundred thousand USD.

We can't expect healthy foods in the fast food restaurants. Something that is really cared by businessmen is how they can earn high profit from their business. The robots are expensive, but the employers don't need to pay their salary every month or every week. I guess they will just do maintenance once a year, and the profit from machine is higher than the human employee. Smiley

If McDonalds does implement this on a large scale then prices for these robots will dwindle pretty fast. After some tests with industrial robots like these, that are already used in nagoya, japan, for creating food in the restaurant http://singularityhub.com/2009/08/03/the-robots-are-the-chefs-in-this-japanese-restaurant/ , they will create even more specialized robots and those will be even cheaper then. The salary of an employed person will be back in a couple years.
3828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 17-year-old Bitcoiner faces prison for tweeting about... You guessed it! Bitcoin on: June 16, 2015, 07:40:16 AM
In my opinion, the dude should be facing a death penalty, and not only up to 15 years behind bars.

I second that opinion. The guy should be facing the death penalty. He supported some schizophrenic maniacs who murder hundreds, if not thousands of innocent people every day. He should be considered as an active member of the ISIS, and the punishment should be given according to it. But it seems that, since he entered in to a plea bargain, he will be out in 6 or 7 years.

And still, there will be idiots here who think that Ross Ullbricht is a bigger criminal than this ISIS sympathizer.

... but, Ross made millions with commission of drug sales and he also ordered hitman to kill people. This ISIS fanboy just wrote about how everyone incl. ISIS can use Bitcoin for transactions. Death penalty? WTF?!

He did more than teaching how to use bitcoin for funding terrorism. He recruited at least one person, that is even elder than him, and made it possible that he can travel to isis. And as far as we know its certain that this person would have to kill then too. Innocent people.

So no, its not because he did the bitcoin thing.
3829  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCjam 2 Factor Authentication issues. on: June 16, 2015, 07:36:53 AM
Here's the thing,
Theoretically they have no information on me other than my email adddress.
Me presenting a photo ID Doas not prove anything.

Secondly
In their Privacy policy They say they will Never ask for personal info over Email.

What is the best way to resolve this issue.

Thanks

Theoretically means you used fake address and name on the website? Its strange that they break their rules. The only thing they can proof with you holding your id is that they know there is a person that has an id. But you could have taken that picture from somewhere from the net.

It sounds a bit like you dont want to do it because you know it will bring trouble to you. You spend so much time on avoiding it too. Normally one would give in when it becomes to stressfull. Am i wrong?

When I signed up I gave them just my first name and my email address. They have no other personal information.
Like i said before I still have login access. Im not trying to hide anything. I just want to find a solution to a problem. That doesn't
involve me putting my Passport or drivers licence online for all and sundry to see.

Then they most probably want to check if your name on the ID matches your name in their system only. It might be hard for a hacker to find an ID that has exactly your name on it.

You might try to send an ID where you blackened out your address and other numbers that could identify you. So that they see the data they already know and maybe your picture since they wont accept it for sure when the picture is black.

Might be worth a try.

arent they the same guys that run Da Dice?  Da Dice also gets accused of scamming quite a bit too. I'm not really up to snuff on these things. I never gamble and I am so over investing in anything in the btc sphere that the very mention of the words BTC and investment turn my stomach.

anyone interested in my 100 shares of ASICminer? maybe you can figure out why I'm cynical?

Cheesy Its easy to become cynical with the hard way we learned about scams and all.  Roll Eyes

Though dadice is not connected to cloudthink.io. The critics for dadice are that they dont want to show their coldwallet. The initial investors dont want to be identified. Not the best practise i think.

Next thing is that it was possible to hack the chat and withdraw the coins from hotwallet. Though there were only 0.008BTC in there. Or so. The security hole is fixed now but it seems they did not really fix it before when they were pointed to it.

So far its not the best way to handle things. Im not sure if dadice makes profit at all. They spend much on the campaign. But thats something thats up to the investors. If the investors dont want to show the cold wallet then they have to life with red trust for dadice. Which will lower the income for sure.

And being hacked and having the security fixed is a good thing at this point. I dont have problems so far since there seems to be no victims. Investors should know and find out if the site is profitable at all. And i did not hear of problems with a withdraw yet.

3832  Other / Meta / Re: Why move all threads regarding the fork to Altcoin Discussion? on: June 15, 2015, 11:55:30 PM
Someone is playing politics. I would argue that those threads should remain in bitcoin discussion until it becomes clear if the fork is going to happen or not. If it will ultimately not happen then they belong in altcoin discussion, however until that it more clear, then the threads are discussing what will potentially happen to the Bitcoin protocol.

That was my first thought too. That a mod has taken a side of the discussion. Though i dont want to believe this since i would want to think mods dont act this way.

Its about the future of bitcoins and one of the bitcoin chains will survive. Discussing the future of bitcoin in an altcoin subforum is simply not correct.

I dont believe a word of it personally.

"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"

It's a bit irritating is that there are still people joining their twitter and signature campaign... they're quick at deleting negative stuff from their threads

Money makes the world go round. As long as they keep on paying, people will still advertise them..

They aren't actually paying any more. For now there are only promises that the next payment will be in a few days , and people are still tweeting and posting in the hope that they will get paid.

Isnt the payment deposited with an escrow? I thought at least that was secured... it would be wise to leave as soon as the escrow doesnt hold enough coins to pay the advertiser.

I wonder how long this goes... and will be interesting to observe the realization phase of customers and promoters.

Nope, no trusted escrow provider doesn't want to escrow the sig campaign.. Monbux actually decided to take care of the escrow but i think it was already too late

Ok, didnt think campaigners are that brave.  Roll Eyes Taking part in a campaign everyone says is a scam, paid only once and no escrow. Thats corageous... or stupid... depends on how you want to see it.  Cheesy

If they really started to take the payment date back in time then it seems to be time to close the case for the scammer.

I cant imagine though that he made a lot of money with this.

3835  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Before the earthquake, Nepali People killed 250,000 cows to celebrate festival on: June 15, 2015, 10:23:55 PM
We humans have the most developed brain & organs. Why do we need to kill animals just to eat We breed them so that we can eat them. What is the difference between other animals and us who eat meat? We have abundant source of natural resources to fulfill our needs.

I knew this will come up. Though let me say it this way. When you show me how the cows stop eating away the living lifeform grass then i might consider stopping eating the cows.

Truth is that every human only survives when it devours other life. Only because some humans think they are better because they only devour life that doesnt have a face, doesnt make this truth less valid.

And claiming that humans can chose to only eat their "smallest brothers and sisters", what kind of attitude is that? We arent made for vegetarian only nutrition. Our organs show this. Of course one might chose a diet of only vegetarian source, though thats up to him. Others might not want this because of the risks and because its hypocritical to claim that one is a better human when he only eats the life that cant fight back at all.

Damn, i knew this would turn out to be this discussion again. But truth is and remains... humans only survive when devouring other life. Blame god or whatever, but its the truth. And humans have to deal with it.

Agree with you. That is the provision made available to us. Stronger survives, weaker perishes. But still we can control it if we want to or let it be as it is. Smiley

I know what you mean and i thought about this carefully already. Even tried vegetarian so that i know what i speak about. I cant live that way. These products they sell as meat replacement taste like bread and you always have the feeling somethings missing.

I think i should not try to go against nature, our inner organs are neither those of carnivores nor those of plant eating animals. So since we are made like this i think nature shows us whats the right choice of nurture is. We simply cant avoid devouring life so at the end i would not feel better to "only" eat my smallest brothers and sisters on earth. We are made like this and have to accept it.

Not like these extremists in some developed countries that think they have to even feed their carnivourous pets, like cats and dogs, a vegetarian diet. Thats so wrong that it looks like abuse to me.

Even more irritating is that there are actually users that buy hashrate at cloudthink.io. There was a thread, i read some hours ago, where someone asked if, when the difficulty drops, the profit shouldnt rise. He had bought, if i not remember wrong, for many USD, and it looked like it did not follow this simple pattern.

Im really not sure why people would not at least check such a website through google. They surely would have read one or another warning.
3837  Other / Meta / Why move all threads regarding the fork to Altcoin Discussion? on: June 15, 2015, 09:58:18 PM
Im puzzled why someone is moving all threads from bitcoin discussion, that speak about the coming fork, to altcoin discussion. Im not sure why anyone would think it has to do with altcoin at all. Its all "Bitcoin" that these threads are about.

I hope no siding is involved, things like that should stay in the proper subforum where it can be discussed. Pushing it to altcoin discussion subforum means that its misplaced and most probably wont be seen very often by forum members that are interested in the topic.
3838  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need WU to BTC service on: June 15, 2015, 03:18:28 PM
I need somene who can pick up $50,000 worth of WU payments per month and send me bitcoin.

Anywhere from $1000 to $5000 per day. $100 per transaction up to $2500 per transaction.

Serious long term offers required!

I think your offer is very risky. How should a receiver know that you got these payments legally? I mean there is no hurdle to collect them if they belong to you really.

A "business partner" could end up being a victim that has to pay back thousands of USD to some scammer persons.

I think as long as you dont explain more you would not get anyone interested.
3839  Economy / Gambling / Re: Disclosure about stolen funds from BitDice. on: June 15, 2015, 03:15:10 PM
Hello guys,

As you aware, on March 24 BitDice lost ~145 BTC (more information ca be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=975399.msg10875932#msg10875932). We tracked down those coins. 85BTC were blocked on BTC-E by our request. We deeply appreciate their help and cooperation on this case. I kept silence about it while both parties conducted investigation. However, the thief went out public on reddit harassing reputation of BTC-E and impersonating BitDice developer. Here are the links:

https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/39pxat/btce_stole_100_bitcoins_from_me_and_i_have_no/
https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/39rhvs/btce_allegedly_froze_this_customers_account_with/
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/39r20v/btce_stole_100_bitcoins_from_me_and_i_have_no/

I will try to say as much as I can without providing any private information about this case until further notice from our attorneys.

There were no dice playing by that user, he didn't win anything - he just stole the funds from the account. Legally it's called embezzlement and fraud. Coins were tracked down to the wallet that belongs to BTC-E. We got in touch with BTC-E and told them what has happened and they started their own investigation and delayed withdrawal of those coins.

I deeply apologize that it harmed reputation of BTC-E. They did what every legal business would have done in this case, that is attempting to seize the theft. And I really appreciate that bitcoin community can help each other in such cases.

At the moment case solved. Coins have been returned to us. On this I would again thank BTC-E for great help.

Regards,
BitDice Casino S.L.R.

Interesting outcome. I didnt think btc-e will comply with such a request. Though i would like to know which proof you had that these coins belonged to a scammer. Was the first withdraw directly sent to btc-e? Or were there different steps? Or did they treat the coins as tainted? I mean its similar to fiat money then and for sure in the future governments will treat coins that way too. Regardless if one likes it.

How did you get the other part back?
3840  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloudthink.io - the next scam in town? on: June 15, 2015, 01:30:24 PM
Yes. Scam with almost certainty.

I have also notice that many users which intentions I consider "questionable" is wearing they signature and avatar. Would not be suprised if all of them are just shills of mirjangka. I mean what signature campaigner would trust that shit? Also it is very smart of a scammer to have a bag of shill account to advatice they scam, instead of actually paying someone. Scammers is proberly the type of people who have the most difficulties paying anybody for anything.

Thats not even needed. There might be some sockpuppets of mirjanka but it would be a huge amount of work.

There are enough users on the forum that only create and buy accounts in order to be able to earn money with posting signatures. Many have multiple accounts. And since they have poor quality of posts they are in constant search of new campaigns. A campaign that is paying way more than others, the funds in escrow and already paid out once... they will take it. Its a job for them and when you that far as having multiple accounts for posting, to beat the system, then i imagine its a not so big step to promote them.
