3821  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good sections for newbie? on: August 26, 2020, 03:45:44 PM
Here: Beginners & Help.

Fortunately if newbies know what they find for at beginnings and Newbies are free to choose the journey they will go they can choose boards that they like the most.

Bitcoin Technical Support is a good one to get supports from Bitcoin community.

I would warn them to keep distance from Bounties that can harm their discoveries on the forum.
3822  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the cheapest way to transfer money from Coinbase.Pro to Binance? on: August 26, 2020, 03:32:41 PM
Time is important. You must choose the time when network is good. Good means as little unconfirmed transactions as possible.

Then choose the good coin to move your fund. Bitcoin is the first coin you should consider because its total hashrates are high enough to prevent you from replay attacks (too high cost to run replay attacks).

Altcoins are good but they are only good if you move small funds. Comparative table on fees among some coins. Pick up one for your need.

With Bitcoin or altcoins, don't move all your fund at once.

I brought it to Meta after I see some advertisement threads from them. They always created their advertisement threads with brandnew accounts.

3825  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What you can learn from this YouTuber mistake - related to crypto scam on: August 25, 2020, 03:13:03 PM
100s of youtube accounts are getting hacked every day and started streaming some random interviews of crypto-related members and added a banner related to the giveaway with the address. And the accounts are still hacked with the old phishing attacks and I wonder how he downloaded a random software in his main system where all his primary accounts related to youtube are logged in. Roll Eyes

Stop responding to the promotions from random persons because they are sent to the random mail address in mass numbers to execute these kinds of hacks.
I don't believe that all of scam giveaways on Youtube come from hacked accounts. There are a few types of accounts that run scam giveaways:
- Hacked accounts: Scammers hacked those accounts and use it to scam victims.
- Bought accounts: Scammers bought those accounts from account farmers and use it to scam victims.
- Real accounts from scammers: they create account, build its channel and use it to scam later when channel get enough followers.

Keep in mind any giveaways that require to send BTC or any crypto first and get backs a few more, double, tripple, x1.5 , blah blah are scam.
3826  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜— How to find out if the online casino is safe or not? on: August 25, 2020, 02:13:12 PM
Today I would like to share with you some tips. As we all know, there are thousands of online casinos on the Internet.
How do you know which of them are safe and trustworthy?

We have put together a blog article of what you should know to determine the legitimacy of online casino sites.

Click here & find out: Are online casinos safe?
There are two sides involve in one platform, casino in this context: The casino and the customer.

On the one hand, casino has to build up their strong security to protect their database and customer's data includes email, password, 2FA, log-in IPs.

On the other hand, customer has to protect their privacy and security: They must set up their strong passwords, activate 2FA and avoid SMS code (sim swap attacks). Backup 2FA codes. Outside casino, they have to secure the email they used to register accounts on casino. Don't disclose that I am playing on casino A, B, C. Don't arbitrarily submit KYCs on any newborn platforms and don't resue same password on different platforms, casinos.

Combine together, security and privacy will be better protected.

3827  Economy / Exchanges / Re: The best way to convert Bitcoin into real money on: August 24, 2020, 01:48:02 PM
It is personal choice so you can not generalize things and tell exactly which is the best way to convert Bitcoin to fiat currencies. There are many payment methods to use and many exchanges (centralized, decentralized, P2P, etc.) to choose.

Help: A list of LocalBitcoin alternatives (P2P marketplaces)
[BIG LIST] Buy/Sell Crypto (OTC, P2P, DEXs, CEXs, NO-KYC, ATMs, etc.)
Don't forget BestChange (their slogan is Buy and sell crypto and fiat with BestChange.com!)
3828  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitamp Bitcoin Web Wallet - Send & Receive Bitcoin Instantly! on: August 24, 2020, 10:29:09 AM
So some 16-year old kid was asking about how to buy Bitcoin with a debit card. Quite a few people suggested he use Purse, but I think this is one case where Bitcoin ATMs come in handy for small purchases. Of course, we said to make sure he gets a proper wallet first!

Where else do you think a person who may not have access to credit cards or banking services could get Bitcoin?
Bitcoin ATMs are good but to use them people in general and youngsters in particular should keep some important things in mind and actually practice.
- Beware of legal and illegal Bitcoin ATMs: Because illegal bitcoin ATMs can bring troubles.
- Search and try to discover the location of Bitcoin ATM that you want to visit and buy Bitcoin: Try to avoid ATMs that are located in remote places and something fishy or unsafe.
- Try with small money first to get experience and get it done right. If you make mistakes, you can do another trade and correct previous mistakes.

3829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum wallet giving multiple addresses. on: August 24, 2020, 08:56:56 AM
There are many available to use if we talk about Ethereum.
Actually you can even use online wallet like myetherwallet to generate infinite eth addresses! Just remember to copy the keys.
My recommendation is Metamask wallet. You can use it on your browser extension, create multiple address, no need to save private keys, just lock it with password, no hassle at all.
It is not like that. OP wanted to ask wallet that has feature to create multiple receiving addresses with the same mnemonic seeds or private keys / JSON  file.

From what I know of, Myetherwallet can give you different addresses (in the list) and you have to choose one address to use each time you log in. I don't remember when the feature was implemented on Myetherwallet but sometime in late 2018 probably.

After enter all mnemonic seeds, and log in wallet, there is a list of Address to interact with. Choose one of them to use. I don't read all documents about this feature but I guess they are multiple addresses are created by a same seed, in same wallet. They all belong to one wallet so that if you use multiple addresses in one wallet, others can trace and know those addresses belong to one wallet, one owner.

3830  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to add icons to the title of a post? 🚀 on: August 24, 2020, 08:41:50 AM
You can see differences between serious boards: Meta, Bitcoin Technical support, Bitcoin Development & Technical Discussion and the Bounties (Altcoins).

In serious boards, emoticons are not welcome. It is fancy but if is abused then will become annoying.
3831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin market cap can exceed Gold's after the next decade on: August 23, 2020, 04:48:45 PM
It is a wrong comparison because good supply can be increased when technology evolves more and companies expand their production activities to more remote areas on the planet. We don't know how many gold will be produced in total. In contrast, we all know the total supply of Bitcoin, and what almost lost from inactive UTXO after many years.

More supply for gold, more total market cap for gold, at same price. In contrast, Bitcoin market cap will only increase if its price increase.
3832  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newbie here some advice! thanks on: August 23, 2020, 02:40:29 PM
Your dagt is worth $5.86

Gas fee is too high right now. If ever there is an exchange where you can sell those tokens, transferring it might cost you more than that five bucks.
Yeah, OP can wait for a while, maybe months (because with DeFi hype, fees won't become cheaper soon) to see fees on Ethereum network will become cheap again and can move it to save more fees and won't lose all or most of $5.86.

Please read my threads to know how to check network status and estimated good fees (in Gwei): ETH/ERC20 - Check and select good Gas price

Now, the average gas price is 88 Gwei that is too high. Tx Calculator

Where are sources of those quotes? Bitcoinwiki?

I believe you took it from some sources then put it in quotes. It is better to have source link and read full documents to catch all ideas. Sometimes part of documents can not convey all information and can mislead readers.

Bitcoin is stored in private key and wallet is used to stored private keys or mnemonic seeds (then public keys and addresses). Is it correct?
3834  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How you can earn money from bitcointalk.org? on: August 23, 2020, 06:07:11 AM
Yes, but to earn money from the signature campaign you need to first rank up in the forum and you can only rank up, if you are a good poster. This is the only forum I know which give the earning opportunity both directly and in-directly.
Contribution is the beginning of everything here. Contributions bring knowledge back to posters and contributions help them rank up higher which in turn help them have better opportunities to get acceptances and earn more money from campaigns.

Without contributions, shit posters are not welcome by forum community and the campaign managers won't want to hire such low quality users for their companies. It is a cycle of contribution-rankup-income.
3835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: August 23, 2020, 06:02:43 AM
Of course most people would bet on victory for Bayern, because I did the same. Bayern is a favorite to win in this Champion League final is
not without reason, because in experience Bayern is indeed above PSG and the quarter finals victory over Barcelona with a score of 8-2, it is
an added value that Bayern deserve to win the Champion League trophies this year.
Barca is more vulnerable than other big teams in Europe this season. Real Madrid can beat them, Althelico Madrid, and some others in the Europe. The big defeat was made by Bayern is an indicator and example for the degrade of Barca from their golden age.

Bayern is strong but I don't think other big clubs in the Europe will suffer such a big defeat like Barca. Final match, I vote for Bayern as you too. 3 -1 or 3 -2 for Bayern.
3836  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies are free to choose the journey they will go on: August 22, 2020, 10:59:35 AM
fourpiece,

You post history and your merit history identify you are not a good poster. There are good posters join bounties but you are out one of them. Your posts are one or two lines and mostly not convey any good contributions.

The post above is a good example, you quote all OP that is not needed. Use snip icons or just mention @OP, I will know you want to discuss with my post, not the others in the thread.
3837  Other / Meta / Re: Free Advertising, YES or NO on: August 22, 2020, 10:53:29 AM
If the campaign rule does not require to wear avatar and signature, people can not wear it.
Stay with rules, it is all people must bear in mind.

If rule does require it but you don't wear it, your application will not be taken into consideration.

Free advertisement or not, who do kind it. If we take into account most of forum users don't make posts or make less posts if they are not in campaigns. I say most, not all.
3838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO] ANN Zensports Peer-to-Peer Sports Betting on: August 22, 2020, 07:19:57 AM
The latest update is on 11 August. For more updates in 2020, you can easily get it on their Product updates page.

Added support for U.S. based customers going through the KYC/AML process. We are now asking for the country of issuance for the documentation on the Upload Documentation screen. From there, if you choose the U.S., we then ask additional questions such as what your state of residency is, along with your social security number. The flow remains the same as before for international customers, with the exception of asking for the Document ID in addition to the Document Type.
Updated the content for the KYC/AML Verification screen tooltip to make it clear what the requirements are for the KYC process. For U.S. customers, the main thing to pay attention to is the formatting of your address for the State and Zip Code fields.
Improved the user experience for uploading documents for the KYC process. We are now showing a pop up after the document is selected to let customers know how long the upload process could take.
Fixed a bug on the Favorites screen where the search bar would disappear if your search criteria returned zero results.
Fixed a bug where CS:GO Write In bets were not allowed to be created.
Fixed a visual bug on the Submit Results screen for Android where the Delete and Close buttons were appearing (nothing would happen if you tapped on them since the bet had already been accepted).
Fixed some visual design issues throughout iOS.
Fixed a bug on the Prize Money screen within the tournament feature for Android where it was not showing the prize money value if the number was too large.

I visit the site with Tor, and the site allows Tor, like it.

Check the Terms & conditions: No rules on VPN or Tor as well as IP address.
Check FAQs: no content so it should be updated soon.

I am happy to see some updates on the Product update

Suggestion, the ANN thread should be more regularly updated by developers.
