-snip-
I want 0.175 for

- leveling up
- for the trouble This caused me
- for spending time messaging with muhamed.

This will not be sold if not for this price.

Whats wrong with you?

You pay me 0.1 and we have a deal. If not I'll see how this turns out.

-snip-
Like I said before muhamed, the shit you've just put me in and on top of that maybe scamming me then I think it's
Fair to say you should pay 0.12 BTC for the account and as a compensation. To be honest, I see if its hard for you to pay that but life is though and you gotta fix this.

It seems he wants to take advantage from this situation, I think he will ask more and more everyday.... Muhammed Zakir don't fall in the trap Wink , try to find an alternative solution or convince who owns "Tlee88" to change his mind.
3862  Other / Meta / Re: I has been hacked my bitcointalk account on: March 17, 2015, 01:35:18 PM
I just asked, you don't have to pay anything but Tlee88 isn't ready to give the account. That's the only problem here. I will refund him but he is asking high amount and telling extra amount as "compensation".

Compensation for what? For the up-level from the member to full member ? This is insane, but I don't see any signed message from Itsmylife (I suppose he can't sign a message or he doesn't want). Can you (Muhammed Zakir) tell us how much he wants?
3863  Other / New forum software / Re: Signature changes on: March 17, 2015, 11:12:04 AM
...
Newbies should not be able to disable, and probably even fulls, but maybe seniors or heros should be able to disable this. ADs on the site should definitely since we already have the option right now.

You want to compare a newbie account with an higher forum ranks, everyone must have the right to/or not disable some signature and seen other signature. Where is the freedom of choice? The problem here is the "users" that "make" a lot of insubstantial posts and the definitive solution is not only to "disable" some signature (they will continue probable to "make insubstantial posts"). I haven't a final solution but this is my personal opinion.
3864  Other / New forum software / Re: Screenshots from epochtalk on: March 17, 2015, 10:57:34 AM
SO this going to be the new forums? is it likely to change and be implemented into current one and everything like our user details transfer over or is this just going to be fresh and restart of bitcointalk. Or is this just software that will be available for people to use?
This is a new forum engine that everybody will be abble to download / install (like SMF, phpBB, IP.Board etc..).
There is also an "importer" to import the data from an existing SMS 1.x install, it will be used when this forum will switch from SMF to this new engine (epochtalk).

So your datas here will be tranfered to the new database / forum that will replace this one, and if anyone want to run his own forum he will be abble to use epochtalk engine

That sure is going to take some doing if you going from ground up then. Will look forward to the new coming forums. No doubt will have many ideas for features to be installed. Who best to submit to. Am guessing yourself?

You can also open a thread here in the "new forum software" section and tell which feature you want to say, and maybe the Slickage team can add it. I will try to install it on localhost (today , if I have a little bit of time free).
3865  Other / Meta / Re: Trust on: March 17, 2015, 10:51:42 AM
Let's make a real example, for understand better what is the real purpose of the trust system:

I received a negative trust from Quickseller (and I accept it, no problem) but it doesn't mean I am a scammer or something like that. If you read :

"Refused to take personal responsibility when he messed up an transaction he was handling escrow for. The situation resolved itself because of a policy exception by a forum administrator.

He may be a honest person however should not be trusted to hold funds for others nor to handle any kind of escrow"

That's true at 99%, because first I refused to take my personal responsabilty but at the end I "recovered" the forum account and all the situation turn back (with the help of  the community). I have made a mistake (didn't change the email) and someone screwed up me (and I "screwed up" the two parts , moreia and lihuajkl).

At the end I want to say, that the trust system is not only for a business purpose but for a lot of things.
3866  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: March 17, 2015, 10:34:02 AM
It would make more sense to evaluate the level of trust that should be given to the person actually holding the funds, as well as how payments are made. If payments are made directly to a website account then obviously the campaign should not be considered to be escrowed because the escrow has zero way to know for sure if anyone got paid or not. If you have some unknown person with no prior trade history or someone who is farming trust then it should be safe to say that the campaign should not be considered escrowed

I agree they should be trusted. It should only be considered escrowed if the funds are held by an existing trusted escrower like devthedev or another trusted member with previous history of payouts like evilpanda or hillariousandco. I simply think if one of the latter two were running a campaign there wouldn't need to be another escrow involved before it was considered escrowed. I think by having one of those run and hold the funds it should be considered escrowed by that fact.

Except that, again, the definition of escrow is funds held by a third party.  If the person holding the funds is the campaign manager then this is by definition not escrowed.  This doesn't mean that there's a problem.  Many deals can go down without escrow when all parties trust each other.

Similarly, you're absolutely right that when something is escrowed, the person doing the escrow had better be a trusted person.  But that doesn't change the definition of escrow.
The campaign manager is not the one buying the advertising, the company is. The buyer is the company who the participants are advertising for. The seller is the various participants and the escrow is the manager. I really don't think it can be any more clear cut then that

But if the campaign manager is being paid by the company then that's the conflict of interest which makes him not an escrow.  Again, consider if you want to by my restaurant.  I say, okay just send the money to the escrow which is my restaurant manager and then I'll know you're serious and we'll sit down and discuss the contract.  The restaurant manager works for me so he isn't a third party.  For a third party you need someone who isn't otherwise employed by either party.
That does not matter. The vast majority of escrow transactions have one specific party pay for the escrow service. If for example the buyer is paying the 1% escrow fee, the escrow provider is not going to to give money back to the buyer when it would not be appropriate to do so.

I think an escrow should be trusted by all the two "parts", but in this case who the enrolled users should trust, the site or the manager? A real escrow service has not been still created (just my personal opinion, purely random cases).
3867  Other / Meta / Re: I has been hacked my bitcointalk account on: March 17, 2015, 10:21:07 AM
oh , I see .
So in here , my fault was not realize my account has been hacked with the period was 20 days . I accepted ( I can not explain this fault because because everything is unreasonable to you ).
but I want to ask : what is the responsibility of members trade traded accounts been stolen ? it like I steal a car , then I sell for you without any certificate of ownership of the car but you still buy it .
Can I assume that Muhammed Zakir is the guy stolen my account, then he mortgaged for himself  ( the reason is he did not ask Tlee prove his ownership when they conducted transactions , Is it normal for a person provide mortgage account services as he does? sorry Muhammed Zakir this is just assumptions  ) ?

You made a "BIG" comparison, here the fault was from both you. Muhammed Zakir didn't ask a signed message and you didn't "build" your personal security. We can assume whatever we want, but if you cannot prove at 100% the ownership then it will be difficult for you to get back "your" forum account.
3868  Other / Meta / Re: My account was neg trusted by Tomatocage for no good reason. on: March 17, 2015, 10:04:11 AM
You should remove the negative trust, the account name is not the same.

there is no way that 2 account will have exactly the same name Tongue

the negative trust is because of impersonation and/or attemp to scam

Yes, but as stated above, OP is a real seller and not an impersonator. Quickseller should remove the feedback. If OP does try to scam, Quickseller can easily put the feedback back.

if he is a real seller it wouldnt be a problem for him to create new account with unique name to avoid having issues like this.. also the negative feedback is just "Not the real ACCTseller" so Quickseller is not accusing him scammer but only giving warning to people who will possibly will have a deal with him to take caution for it may do scam attemp

I think it is not so good see a red warning under your username/avatar, because a lot of users will see this phrase : Warning: Trade with extreme caution! and think that user is a scammer. They should learn to click on the trust , read the feedback and especially the reference (because a negative trust without a reference link is not "acceptable"). In this case as you said he (the OP) can create a new forum account, at the end it's not a real problem.
3869  Other / New forum software / Re: Screenshots from epochtalk on: March 16, 2015, 07:04:44 PM
We have to install the forum? I'll no be here much loger then lol, this is a HUGE security risk, for then people can see other's connection's, no?

It is not an obligation, if you want to "test" the new forum software then build the current github version on localhost or maybe better on a vps and try it. I think a lot of users *want*  see how it will look like (we have waited almost ~ 1 year).
3870  Other / New forum software / Re: Help install beta of the new forum on: March 16, 2015, 06:52:04 PM
Hello all ,
Can anyone create a tutorial to show how to install the beta of the new forum ,
I would like to test it ,,, also is the features updated every day there ,E.g : if they
added a feature today will it be avaible there ?

Kind Of Respect ,
Bitcoin Boy.

Right now @kcud_dab has opened this thread :

With all the requirement that you will need to install the "new forum software" on localhost (there are present also a lot of screenshot here : http://bitcoin.powaaa.com/tmp/epochtalk/).

3871  Other / New forum software / Re: Screenshots from epochtalk on: March 16, 2015, 06:49:53 PM
You will need :
 - node / npm
 - foreman (available via gems)
 - postgresql (which accepts connections without password), maybe create the dev database before (that's what I did), create a database.json from example.database.json in the frontend folder

And follow instruction from https://github.com/epochtalk/epochtalk , where are you blocked during setup ?
Some tips :
 - "npm run build" -> to build to JS / CSS, as it is *not* done when running "npm run start"
 - "npm run db-recreate" -> to init the database
 - "npm run db-devseed" -> to init some data (a category and an user) and verify that the port is your local port (hard coded in "frontend/tests/seed/devseed.js" )
 - "epoch --seed" doesn't seem to work here, but it's optionnal
 - my default dev port was "5000", didn't know from where it came from and I overwrited it in "frontend/config.js"

Woow , fantastic! I wanted to install the forum on a vps while ago, now I will try on localhost here on my personal computer. It looks like : amazing (for me screenshot that I have seen) Smiley.

Thanks @kcud_dab again for the help.
3872  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: March 16, 2015, 03:20:16 PM
Reply for the OP, just for fun I have find this site : http://www.isbitcoindead.com/

I think it is.

Bitcoin use adoption has stalled. Media interest has dissipated. Prices have only slowly continued to decline for a long time now. ... Mining has been concentrated in the hands of a few giant players, eliminating much of the advantage/security/democracy of thousands of individuals being the money processors. Alternative forms of online payment with US dollars (and other fiat currencies) are now cheaper, faster, and more secure than bitcoin (and of course far more usable to buy/sell real goods/services), eliminating any of its advantages as a payment system. Continued decline of bitcoin and strength in fiat currencies has put the lie to the idea of bitcoin as a store of value; there are far better more reliable hedges against inflation. Meanwhile the real economy is firing on all cylinders, stock markets are at all time highs, corporate earnings are higher than ever, unemployment is low, etc. Even amid the boom, no one cares about bitcoin any more. Bitcoin was a fad that lasted a few years, and is now on its way to being forgotten.

Thoughts? Anyone seriously disagree with this conclusion?

I disagree with your conclusion because we are still in an "experiment" bitcoin as "currency" is  only ~6 years "old".

Bitcoin securities have always been and still are a complete mess, with a near 100% failure (scam/fraud/incompetence/etc) rate.

It is not a bitcoin problem, it is a third party problem. The hackers are attacking the exchange, the web wallet .... not the bitcoin protocol itself.
3873  Other / New forum software / Re: Signature changes on: March 16, 2015, 02:52:21 PM
disabling or filtering sig ads can reduce post spammers yes, but it will decrease helpful post too even a little.. but for me, maybe the option to filter sig ads can only be enabled and disable based on the forum rank of the user.. the higher the rank the more option/s they will have Smiley

What is the need for 'rank' in disabling/enabling/filtering? Forum is allowing everyone to enable/disable signatures, avatars and ads and also to ignore. So this is option should also be available for everyone regardless of the rank.

It depends of which is (will be) the forum policy, if they want to allow a decentralized ad "system" or limit the possibility of what someone can put in their signature. I think this forum is so full of freedom, and I hope they will not "ban" at all the signature campaign. However the feature (if it will be implemented) should be granted to all the forum ranks and not only to the high ranker ( for example full, senior, etc..).

I know they will do the right thing, for fight & stop the spammers (who make insubstantial posts).
3874  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Quickseller uses the fake account Skyenet, insults, and gives negs for no reason on: March 16, 2015, 02:43:04 PM
Last reply you get from me, it was you who said he was a well known scammer so how would you find that kind of odd lol.... Just a few posts above that is where you said it that's why i told you leave him out of it because he is far from one of those. As quick is far from one of those it is you guys who come across as the closest to one here but that's another story and thread..

This guy Skyenet is not quickseller absolutely 0 chance that he is. I am sure he will be dropping by soon to clear this up anyway..

Been seeing these quickseller hate threads pop up a bit recently shows he is doing something right Smiley)

If you read that post back snow replied to I already apologized. It was because I read a scam report on him but never looked into  it.

It was just pointless for him to reply that into this thread as it is irrelevant.

Yes of course, for me it is not a problem and I (obviously) accept your apologies. I only wanted to report your previous posts in this thread, my opinion it is not irrelevant ( and also your). There is not exist a scam report against me, it seems you didn't read properly the various thread.
3875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Etherium.org launch to make Bitcoin price go UP? on: March 16, 2015, 01:47:21 PM
It's an interesting experiment and technology, but I don't think that they really have any influence on the Bitcoin price at all. If anything, they're selling their investment-coins on the open market, which may push the price down a bit.

In smart contracts the currency will be bitcoins, so this way, if there come spectaculars new applications on the Ethereum platform, then bitcoin will be used more widely.

I don't still understand all the ethereum concept, this is a part of the white paper :

"The intent of Ethereum is to create an alternative protocol for building decentralized applications, providing a different set of tradeoffs that we believe will be very useful for a large class of decentralized applications"   and     "Ethereum does this by building what is essentially the ultimate abstract foundational layer: a blockchain with a built-in Turing-complete programming language". [1]

So at the end , will ethereum work on the bitcoin blockchain ?

I have also find this definition "Ethereum includes a digital currency called ether. Ether has a lot in common with the famous digital currency Bitcoin". [2]

Can an ethereum fan explain what is that insane thing (that will compete with bitcoin)?

3876  Other / Meta / Re: Post Wrongly Deleted? Trigger Happy? on: March 16, 2015, 01:26:45 PM
-snip-
There is nothing wrong with anyone wearing a paid signature (I am wearing one myself). However I think the reality is that people with paid signatures tend to spam more and as a result should be held to a higher standard then those who are not receiving a specific payment based on how many posts they write.

This may not result in the 100% equal treatment for everyone in the forum, however it would likely be what is best for the community overall and would likely still result in everyone being treated fairly

The problem is - as BadBear stated just recently - that its impossible to distinguish between posts to increase your post count and posts that are just ... Ill just quote it instead of trying to rephrase it:

-snip-
There are people who just don't post very well in general, post "too much", or don't really have anything to say, they just like to participate in the community and post. This itself is fine. But when you add an ad to these kinds of posters, it's difficult or impossible to tell if they just aren't quality posters or if they are attempting to boost their post count. I used to err on the side of caution here because I do not want to ban the former, just the latter, but too many of the latter are slipping through the cracks because it's very difficult to gauge someone's intentions. This is the main thing that has changed lately.

Thanks for that info,

If the forum is so concerned about people padding their post counts, why not allow for the option to remove post count completely from view?

I'm a heavy contributor to the site because I seek great knowledge vested in this site, not a higher post count.

I think because it is a forum, and the post count is a basic forum function. The problem is "only the content" of the post itself (not the numbers). There is a lot of users post continuously the same "concept" but with different words or also there is some users that publish insubstantial posts and continuing to don't understand ( intentionally). In all this chaos is normal that someone with a "different" and striking signature are "targeted".
3877  Other / Meta / Re: My account was neg trusted by Tomatocage for no good reason. on: March 16, 2015, 01:17:01 PM
The trust system is very "abstract", this phrase "Negative - You were scammed or you strongly believe that this person is a scammer." is true until a cert point. If you don't trust one, you should not give him a negative trust and in these days I have seen a lot of imposter/fake accounts but "that's not the case of the OP" (my personal opinion). If you don't trust someone, remove him for your trust list.

However the negative trust should not stop you to trade here.
3878  Other / New forum software / Re: REWARDS in BTC on: March 16, 2015, 12:43:29 PM
Paid direct to members for helping other members, with a percentage given to bitcointalk to keep paying good friendly support, paid direct to own wallet, paid to those that recipient vote's best answer.

Why bitcointalk should pay the "good" users? I don't think it's a good idea, if I want  tip you I use my bitcoin.  The bold part , we have discussed about a "thanks" button here :

I think it will be useful to thanks a post, but without send "money" (only as "thanks for your post).

He has accused me to be a scammer in this post (I have never heard/noticed about him) :

RCHumphrey - Was quite right with what he said.

Redsn0w I have already taken up someone for the job. I will sign the address's next time in future. But by me sending the funds when I stated I would that sort of signed it right?

Anyway, Position is closed for now.

Thanks to all the applicants.

Roubitte

Redsn0w?....He is a very well known scammer.

After he has wrote again :

Redsn0w?....He is a very well known scammer.

You are mistaken. It must be someone else. Provide proof when you try to destroy reputation of a legit person.

I may mistaken him for someone else then. I apologize. I remember reading yesterday about a user with redsnow scamming off a escrow. DOnt remember link.

I don't think it is an altaccount of Quickseller, maybe it was only a coincidence.

I think Europe will collapse in the next 6/7 years, first Greece after Italy (I live here, and I hope in a real revolution) and then each eu state one by one. It is like a program if it is not written well ... It will crash (only a question of time, and the time is near to the end).
