Hey what about a new poll?

Maybe one on the price by the end of the year?

3862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: September 30, 2017, 06:49:13 AM

Why should Bitmain upgrade to other algorithms? Is there evidence or are simply the assumptions. I do not think the Antininer D3 can be any other algorithms.

Again, it is just wishful thinking on my part probably. Looking for the Unicorn/Fairydust/Rainbow fantasy of what to mine, when it turns into a D3 space heater

this winter....mining x 11 only and at least in my feeble mine I could hoard...lots, and lots of dubious x13, x15 coins on the hope of a pump......while its main purpose would be

as a space heater Sad

Mining for a loss on x11 would just be silly, right? (Anything to further the addiction) but hey.....dubious coins that may pump after the x11 coin is not workable

that works right? (damn I"m lame) Sad

Does anyone know how I can get a L3+ hasboard one of my older overclocked units finally killed a hashboard after running at 475mh for the past few months.

no idea in that you overclocked it...not overclocking it if you were under the 180 days you could get another one

an L3+ should get 500 mh w/o overclocking ...so kinda confused how you overclocked it and only got 475 mh

what am I missing?

anyway, not that I know squat..but I'm up and can reply

3864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: September 30, 2017, 04:31:55 AM
Just got an email from Bitmain. They shipped my L3 today. So they managed to ship on time for the September order. Most of my orders since 2014 they have always shipped early. They managed to ship on time so that is good.

if in usa contact the shipper fedex or ups and pay the meager fee $37 usa ahead of time ...or in my case it it down to computer peripheral equip they had it at scientific equp for 97 bucks

once you get the live person pay right away with them on the phone..it will save you 2 days when they hold it and try to get  you on the phone to straighten it out

also if they have the scientific equip thing you can talk them into computer peripheral equipment (hey, I use a laptop with putty!) and get it knocked down

they told me 25 on the phone should have paid then when offered.....was 37 at the door Sad

anyway, how I'm gonna do it from now on..as soon as I get a tracking number gonna bug fed ex or ups and pay up front before it hits my door

3865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: September 30, 2017, 04:28:18 AM
WoW guessing some serious power just came online ?
About 1500 D3 were connected today.

By November Bitmain will have to release d3 upgrade and ship that instead to keep the machines above $1 a day at this rate. 50 g/h would be appropriate.

hell i hope they do an x13, x15 etc upgrade..so at least I can mine AIR on the hope of a pump as a space heater this winter Sad

3866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL Is Craig Wright Satoshi Nakamoto? on: September 29, 2017, 09:28:50 AM
...
Thus, IF he was to prove he was Satoshi, the Australian Gov't would want to be paid promptly and directly or he would go to jail.

Do you know was this "Gov't thing" around and known before or after he came out in BBC interviews and elsewhere he tried to prove something by his cooked programming scripts ?

If it was after then it really is possible he just made a mistake to come public with his claims and vanished. In this case what you're saying can be viewed in a new and different light I think...

But but... why he did any scripts while he could just do that signature thing ? -> 100% proof, no questions asked. 100% accepted by the community.

Think about it:
You are a Satoshi and after years you just decide "no I am not gonna take this quessing game anymore. I come out". Should you allready know that what you're going to offer must be a real proof. What is the most easiest way to do it? Well it is that signature thing what I told you earlier.

I am sorry but this just smells way too much for me Cheesy

I agree..it smells...I"m just playing the 'scare the hell out of me game' in that if he is Satoshi and such and gets a hold of the group trust he was part of with
Hal Finney and the other guy as the true makers of bitcoin (both have passed) ...then crap.....he seems the vindictive sort

and no he was outed by the Australian gov't I believe snooping (*he hinted he was Satoshi to friends) thus they were all over his ass

Craig Wright did not come out voluntarily he was pushed out..either to confirm his scam and lies he got himself into or that he was part of the satoshi group

as he claims

just saying, he did not do this ORIGINALLY for fame, but now he may be just an imposter riding the wave....

but again, only 1 out of 1,000 chance he was part of the supposed satoshi group as he claims

still ...the last guy in the world you'd want with all that bitcoin/power and money if he has access to the private keys

damn, went and scared myself again (off to change shorts)

3867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL Is Craig Wright Satoshi Nakamoto? on: September 29, 2017, 08:16:56 AM
Hey moderators!

So I cannot write about my opinions here ?
Look at the subject of this thread -> my post definitely was not off-topic !
I just wanted to say my opinion in this matter. I apologize the last line that was not a good behaviour from me so it can be deleted.

Here is the message without it:

--- My opinion in this matter is as follows:

The procedure for proving private key ownership involves a simple standard task. Someone sends you a message, you sign it with your private key, return the signed message to the sender who is then able to verify your private key signature with your corresponding public key.

Craig Wright has avoided this self-evident, simple procedure at every request.

What could be the reason for this ?

Again, I don't believe craig wright is Satoshi, but I was in previous posts playing the scare game.

so to continue the scare game

IF he is Satoshi the main reason he would NOT prove he is such conclusively is that Craig Wright owes the Australian Goverment Millions in back
taxes for a supposed tax break he got back before KNC miners, for a data farm in Europe and equipment he never bought. (I believe he thought
he bought gold instead, but the guy disappeared with that money)

Thus, IF he was to prove he was Satoshi, the Australian Gov't would want to be paid promptly and directly or he would go to jail.

Now he can muddy the waters with the Austalian Gov't, get duboius investors in his patent everything bitcoin and crypto related and stall
till Jan 1st 2010 as he has stated when he has access to all of the trust funds from him, hal finey and the other guy...both who passed away.

See ..went and scared myself again I did.....shudder

3868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: September 29, 2017, 08:09:48 AM
Whoever lives in United States, can you tell me how much import duties' cost for one D3? If it it from UPS.

UPS charged me $39 for a D3.

how does it work? do they call you based on the phone number you provided to bitmain when you placed the original order? do you have to go show them your id and give your ssn?

They tried to charge me $97 bucks...it was listed as 'scientific equipment', but I talked the lady from ups on the phone down to $25 bucks (when it arrived they charged me $37). We
compromised on 'computer peripheral equipment' (hey, I need a laptop to putty into the beast!)

you lose 2 days in the process by the by

so, check ahead of time ..IF I'd arrived at UPS to pick it up before calling and asking any fees...I would have probably sucked it up and paid the $97 bucks

just call the ups 800 number and hash it out ahead of time....you also can pay then (should have done that when it was nailed down at $25 bucks) online on the phone.

Also, the UPS lady said they were seeing a LOT of these bitmain units and were kinda bewildered about what they were...that should tell you the numbers

of toasters hitting the USA huh?

Anyway, my experience

If you talk about the Hyperbit shop launch, that happened already and they sold out https://hyperbitshop.io/

Price for their first batch was 2690 USD per unit.

lol....well we all need to hope for a price pump on pow scrypt and/or LTC ..It is not like I'm immune to hope that the price
goes up I have 3 L3+'s at $1,650 arriving 15th of October....

but the price of pow scrypt has to go up or even that will not be enough with the amount of equip hitting the world

anyway I limit my optimism to THREE 2 months ago....I just can't justify the prices of equip from everyone now....at this point

in time imho ....if you are betting on the price of scrypt pow coins to pump in price......you can just as well hold coins...

Anyway, maybe LTC or whatever will pump to 150 usd or something, then any of these concerns of mine won't matter long term

edit: by the by what was hyperbit's batch size hitting the world our of curiosity ...anyone know?

I think I can finally say it

This is the adoption phase...where bitcoin is meant to rule them all

Russia Mining Coin... RMC - https://twitter.com/rmc_coin?lang=en

Japan Coin.... J-Coin - https://www.cnbc.com/2017/09/27/japanese-banks-cryptocurrency-j-coin.html

Utility Settlement Coin.... USC - https://www.coindesk.com/hsbc-barclays-join-utility-settlement-coin-as-bank-blockchain-test-enters-final-phase/

these are only a few of the now government, bank and financial industry backed and built crypto that we have been waiting for so the whole world can adopt crypto

Yep...adoption phase as you state above

fight them phase (banker's/gov'ts/etc) below

so the war goes on

Heh, no price yet on these? Thought it was supposed to be priced on Monday 9/25/17?
3873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: September 27, 2017, 12:24:46 PM

Thank you
Do you have normal APW3++? I mean your link is for L3+

either PSU bitmain offers you can use with ONE D3, L3+ miners. They say you can run two on one on the L3+ models and the D3 only 1 unit can run on either bitmain PSU.

I just ignore and use one of whatever they happen to offer. IMHO, 2 units even on the PSU they claim can run such is just silly, if they are really 1600 watts...

at 800 watts and L3+ for example that is just dumb and of course the D3 will only work on ONE of either unit

or so I've read on this thread

I remember 300 buck PSU's to run stuff like KNC Titans etc...so I really, really don't sweat a max of 135 bucks with shipping for whatever the higher end of
these units are for running ONE bitmain D3 or L3+ unit

why blow up TWO L3+'s as an example if the PSU blows?

Anyway, your question was for the D3 so either will work...(better be, mine D3 is going up today....and I got the unit that can only handle one) Smiley

3874  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 27, 2017, 12:19:26 PM
I don't see this as a major push yet, at least until the Chinese fud settles.

YEAH!!!   Our current BTC price range is still $3,400 to $4,300.. so yeah, even though I am getting a little excited about the BIG jump of this latest $100 plus jump - touching on $4,100, I think we gotta be careful about getting overly anxious until we either break out of the price range or get really close to breaking out of the range.

Of course, there are other theories out there, too (more bearish, that's right), and I think that some of the bear predictor FUD spreading folks did not really expect us to go anywhere meaningfully above $3,700.. .so we are doing pretty good from that less bullish perspective, no?

just sell your farm and buy bitcoin already! :-D weeee $5000 close now bud^

hahahahaha

I am too chicken shit for that.    For the large majority of the part, I do not buy BTC when the price is going up and I do not sell when the price is going down... in other words, I am already in..  and i am ready for $5k, but if we shoot all the way up to $10k, I am going to get anxious and be hoping for a correction to refuel..

myself, as to this particular year, being too good, (4.15 ltc to 50 buck ltc) IF I were to sell my mining farm....and equip I've deducted..I'd have to pay the taxman 50% of whatever
I got for it...better to just run them into the dirt/doorstops....that is the main reason you don't see a lot of miners sell and buy bitcoin

(once you are on the treadmill, its hard to get off) Sad

On the other hand, in 2015 I lost my ass on ltc coin price etc, the hedge was scrypt pow miners, I used the following year, thus scored both years...with equip hedge with this
as a business....goes around comes around..my year to pay taxman or I need to find a lot less dubious equipment before the end of the year than bitmain is offering

anyway, why I run equip down till space heater status...
3875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: September 27, 2017, 10:34:00 AM
Any Info/Hint/Help to get one of this D3 miners ( including psu ) ?
From where to get it? Any referals?
Thank you, Cheers

Not sure I'd get one at this price with difficulty and probably end of November Shipping at $1,450.00

but they are still listed on the bitmain site....remember to grab a PSU..they may run 2 miners but most of us only run them (any version) with 1 miner.

https://shop.bitmain.com/main.htm?lang=en

They also say it is Holiday from Oct 1st to Oct 8th in China. Damn, they do have a lot of long holidays. (envy)

That also comes up on the bitmain main page.

www.bitman.com

Again, imho and others on this thread...long dang odds on the unit you can buy now and probably NOT even looked at till next week with the holiday, will you ROI.

Hopefully, you have 3c kWh electric or something.

later
3876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So when do you "actually" plan to cash in your bitcoin? > or <$1,000,000 on: September 27, 2017, 10:26:57 AM
One thing I've learned from crypto and BTC is that I'm much more Warren Buffett than Hugh Hefner. My lifestyle has not changed.

All my BTC is profits from mining, I have nothing owed in $$$ in anyway of my hoard or BTC or other crypto. All equip ROI'd. Thus all profit at this point in time.

So I just wait and watch price/fud/drama/etc

Thus, if BTC hits big time bucks of 10k 100k etc....meh...I'll just play with it yet...I doubt my lifestyle would change that much

Since I've mined and held since fall of 2013 at $150 usd per BTC ....I figure more of the same...the pattern seems set.

(Then again....if I need to spend crypto to be Natalie Portman's love puppet all bets are off!)

So it all goes tri-planetary moon/mars/pluto etc....meh! I'll take a few more trips...

If it all goes tulips...meh! I'll take no trips.....

Us boring types are what makes the crypto universe work...boring as hell but damn ...we HODL Smiley

has anyone got an email regarding shipping for sept 21-30 time frame?

I'm yet to received notification of any sort. 2 Miners L3+ should be here.... in next 3 days or they are MOFO late.
Haven't received email notification yet on my 21-30/9 orders, but online I see the status has switched to "Shipping"...
OK, one of the 2 L3+'s with PSU shipped! Immediately got hammered by DHL for customs charges which are *insane*... Oh well, my ROI just got extended, all for free!  Grin

UPS had me at 97 bucks for a D3 unit.....at the China end....I talked the UPS rep down to 25 bucks as 'computer peripheral equipment', I think it was....they hedged
and when it arrived it was 37 bucks midwest USA

I expect the same clusterf*ck on my L3+'s middle of October and my last 'dubious' purchased D3 1st part of November

plan to lose 2 days on this stuff....playing phone tag...(and in my case caught the call 3min after they left voice msg...took 20min to confirm above..but it still
added 2 days to the ups order) Sad

they had mine as 'scientific equipment' and that is just wrong!

there is NOTHING scientific about our Bitmain ASIC gambling addiction Sad

My nightmare is he says he has access to a trust with some ungodly billions of $$$ of bitcoin that he can access
Jan 1st 2020....

As badly as he has been treated...(correctly I may add .Satoshi or not he is an ass) ....by the bitcoin community and
the worldwide press

he could laugh and sell and flush the whole works down to 400 buck btc just for giggles and still come away with millions

not saying it is true...only 1 out of  1,000 chance he is Satoshi...but my version of a crypto nightmare indeed on that date...

(brahahahaha scared you!)

Also, hal finney and the other guy he claims were in his group...all passed away..my view is he was not really the inventor
just part of the group if it was true....and as last man standing...if what he says is true...we are beyond screwed...

and not to point it out too much ...if/and/or/but he still is and always will be imho, the biggest ass hat in crypto

(bruahahaha scared self!)

Well....what I will get when my D3 goes up (today or tomorrow)

https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/dash-mining-calculator/?h=17500.00&p=1000&pc=0.12&pf=0.00&d=4566805.05137939&r=1.80147602&er=0.08719137&btcer=4013.01410000&hc=0.00

At 17.5gh and 1000 watts I think I was told and 12c kwh I get

$45.71 after electric per day

Down from around $120 a day from a week ago I heard.... er 3k for this unit with the bitmain PSU and shpping/fees....and this could fall into the 'dubious' purchase history of my life

FYI

Your Lucky u didnt buy too many.

I cheated.......I need the equip deduction...I can pay the tax man 50% of income (one has consequences on 4.15 LTC to 50.00 LTC for the 2nd 1/2 of the year) or I can take
that 50% ..aim it at 'dubious' equipment (and pray) and than also off that get 100% off equip deduction in 1 year (vs usual 5 years) due to USA stimulus thing on biz equipment
...that adds another 25% real $$$ from Taxes I know I will owe...thus for 25% more risk than just taking the 50% tax pay to tax man...I can get 'dubious equip)

by the by now all bitmain equipment is dubious even to me......so essentially if I get 25% back from the equip its a wash....anything more and I'm golden...

so that is my angle (or situation)

but again the above was calculated....2 D3's (er maybe the 2nd D3 I got because everyone else wanted one....got caught in the hype) and the 3 L3+'s coming middle
of October

took my best shot...from now till Jan 1st I just ride and pay whatever income tax to the tax man I need to by Jan 1st, 2018......but w/o the above equipment I'd be
crying just as much as I am now..so again a wash.....

(Bitmain: doing evil clutches on miners since day 1.....(tm bitmain)
