3941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: November 10, 2017, 09:26:30 PM
October 29, 2017 Bitcoin price ranges from $6,000 - $6,100 and today, bitcoin price is now $7,000. Are you surprise?

I think, if only those people who planning to invest in bitcoin manage to notice this sudden increase. I think there is a high chance that they will start investing.

yes i think that too there will be chance that the bitcoin can increase more higher so many people will invest their bitcoin immediately haaha
Yeah it is good to hold the gold at your home but if you will look at the price of the bitcoin you will see how fast the bitcoin will grow I would like to suggest you to hold the bitcoin and the bitcoin will give you the best of the return at the very short time because the price of the bitcoin has become the $45000 in the few years. Everyone should dream for the best and should try to invest the huge capital in the bitcoin.
It also drops just as quickly as it rises, so never go all in even if it's Bitcoin. Lots of people FUDding Bitcoin over the SegWit2x drama and pumping Bitcoin Cash instead now. Very dangerous game and nobody knows who the winners will be for sure, so stay safe.
3942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon to accept Bitcoin? on: November 10, 2017, 09:13:37 PM
amazon is american website and america is not supporting btc so it will never happen
Seems like we have two completely different assessments of Bezo's personality. I feel like if anyone would ride the crypto wave it would be him.
3943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: November 10, 2017, 09:12:32 PM
Those who were selling under emotions now what they have left to say or do except to buy less now with same amount of money. Monaco is still more advanced and advantageous than many projects running in the same field. In this market patience is the only key to get out with profit else you just loose.
Now Monaco tokens  hold those who believe in the project and those who bought too expensive. They'll be lucky if in the near future will not appear a new competitor, otherwise they'll have to hold it a very long time.
There is almost a dozen of competitors around and the number will keep increasing. If they don't address the asset contract real soon they will lose a very significant amount of market share in the long run.
In this situation it is not clear why the price of the token may start to grow. Maybe due to the general growth of the market of altcoins. Even to 10 dollars grow will be very difficult. But everyone wants a lot more.
We can now actually see that MonaCo was one of the alts that had the weakest pump after SegWit2x was called off, and now it's one of the coins with the biggest dump.

Pretty clear that everybody who actually knows how to invest has lost faith in MCO after the initial announcement of how the asset contract will be canned with no proper replacement.

Even backpedaling on the ridiculous claim that it's mathematically pointless didn't seem to help restore faith much.

Leave it to the shills to keep spamming every channel with the usual empty baseless paroles though.
3944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: █【ANN】【ICO】█【PRE-SALE】 🌟 【SOLD OUT】 ██ 🌟 BLOCKLANCER ██ JOIN GIG ECONOMY BOOM on: November 10, 2017, 08:39:09 PM
The thread seems to be overun by Newbies talking about bounty. When will the ICO start? There should be a dedicated thread for bounties. Please do the needful
Hi,
Yes we know there are many bounty hunters here. To be honest it also bugs me quite a bit. It would be great if we could just delete some nonsense bounty questions as well to make the important parts of the thread more visible. Or is there anything?

The ICO will be in December or January. More details to the exact date are coming soon.  Smiley

Best regards,
The Blocklancer Team
I don't really like it much either, since all the information could easily be found with as little as one to three clicks...

But from another point of view it keeps Blocklancer visible. And more attention means a more successful ICO for which pointless bounty questions would be a cheap price to pay. I can't really see any serious investors losing interest because of "spammers" in a naturally spammy forum either.

That's not what freelancing websites are normally used for.

But that is indeed a very nice idea that Blocklancer might want to consider expanding into! Having a branch that is specifically used to connect people with tutors for different subjects would be quite nice.

Not only would it increase the value of the token, but it would also give teachers, tutors and students a new platform to connect.

I'm sure the same problems that freelancers face today are faced by tutors as well. And since that technically does fall under the "freelancing" category it would be silly not to take advantage of that market and add it to the Blocklancer platform!

Hopefully the team will look into this. Wink
Hi,
That's a wonderful idea.
We already consider to add a fiverr like job offering system into Blocklancer as well. With that said it's not that hard to set it up for tutors as well. We just need to check out how that fits into Blocklancer (and how much demand there is).

We are currently working on a few extensions for blocklancer to offer everything needed to allow jobs to be paid hourly. But more to that in the next dev update. Smiley

Best regards,
The Blocklancer Team
Unless I'm missing something, setting up a section for tutors should be as simple as "copy/pasting" what is already there and specifically promoting that branch of the platform as well.
I keep seeing tons of flyers and job offers for tutors around campus all the time, so I would imagine that the demand would be quite large and that it would merely be a question of raising awareness (which may or may not be difficult/resource intensive).

When is the next update coming by the way?

There is also an FAQ over here, which actually states multiple airdrops of 100 BCH each will take place:

http://support.wavesplatform.com/forums/1-general/topics/9821-bch-airdrop-faq-9-nov-2017/

Thanks, i still think they should have withdraw sashas statement earlier and made if more official though.
I don't want to defend them for things I don't know, and I don't know what exactly was happening. But it might be possible that they wanted to drop the entire amount at once first, but then found out that it would cause legal problems which forced them to change their plans very promptly.

But yeah, I wish that projects would be more anticipating of these problems at the very least.

Devs are great, but communication skills of the waves team could be improved.
Their Telegram is always up to date. I don't really follow the other channels, but if they've got gaps then that would definitely be something to work on.
3946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC is dead. The plan is a shift to Bitcoin Cash. on: November 10, 2017, 07:21:49 PM
Cirque du fuckin Soleil. This is what it is, and all big whales are just fucking with us little traders, so good luck with losing your money either way. Better sit on Fiat and just watch the show going on. This is really FUN!

Only if the fiat is invested elsewhere. Holding fiat without letting it grow is literally the worst thing you could ever possibly do with your money. Even burning it would be better, as long as you uploaded it on Youtube for the ad revenue...
3947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon to accept Bitcoin? on: November 10, 2017, 07:01:45 PM
Let's say it is very happy news now we can easily buy product from Amazon with our Bitcoin
Did you even read the thread? We can't easily buy anything with Bitcoin from Amazon.

3949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My strategy for the next hardfork SEGWIT2X on: November 10, 2017, 06:47:57 PM
My strategy for the next fork, that is supposed to take place around 20th nov.
If there are exchanges that support it and credit B2X for BTC in 1:1 ratio, then i will sell all my alts to buy just and only BItcoin. (nowdays i dont have a cent in BTC). This B2X seems by far very more worth than the BTG shit.. JUst right after the fork, dumping of BTC to buy the bleeding alts that will be around cryptomarket. I will keep the B2X at least for some days (as there is no replay protection, so better safe than sorry) and then decide if keep or dump also.
NOw the question is.. it is smart to sell my damaged altcoins still with lost (since i bought during the summer ATH) and start accumulating BTC? when should i do it? will the altcoins have another rise like yesterday? will BTC still drop more ?
take in mind that last time, people began accumulating BTC as long as 3 weeks before the hardfork... so no much time left for a decision.
what do you think?
The strategy was not bad but now there is not going to be a fork then it could be a good idea to get out of bitcoin and get alts instead, I would like to do the same but I cannot afford to take the risk with the amount of bitcoin I have but for those that can, getting altcoins seems like a good business to me.
Just move a part of your Bitcoins into altcoins. Keeping everything in Bitcoin is much riskier than diversifying. Be careful though and do proper research beforehand.
3950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon to accept Bitcoin? on: November 10, 2017, 06:46:48 PM
The liquidity could be an issue though.

Not for the stores accepting Bitcoin through third party payment processors. Stores just get the converted value in fiat, and that's really it. In easy terms, stores don't have anything to worry about when it comes to accepting Bitcoin. In most cases it's the lacking understanding of how things work, where they don't know that there are options where they can avoid being exposed to the volatility or anything else connected to Bitcoin. The conversion fees are ultra low, especially compared to credit card fees, so it's just requires them the actual step to allow Bitcoin to be part of their list of checkout options.
With a giant like Amazon liquidity could still become an issue though, even if they used Bitpay to process their payments.

That could very quickly change if prices go up dramatically due to the increased demand though, which would lure more people into Bitcoin and thus increase liquidity.

However, at that point scalability would become a major concern.

All considered, I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon was playing it slow and safe for all these reasons combined. It wouldn't do its stock price a big favour if they "flunked" the implementation of Bitcoin payments.

With the transaction volume that Amazon has they probably wouldn't want to pay fees to a third party service provider either, so they will most likely be interested in creating their own solution (which needs to address liquidity and scalability) or in acquiring something like Bitpay.
3951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying using BTC on: November 10, 2017, 06:39:53 PM
Why dont google, youtube pay us with bitcoins?
Why would Google or Youtube pay us to begin with...?
3952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | unofficial supporters topic on: November 10, 2017, 06:36:24 PM
Guys, we need to be far more active on Reddit. /R/CryptoMarkets and /R/Cryptocurrency are the two biggest subreddits. Be sure to inform people.
People will be informed automatically once the new platform rolls out. Right now there is no good reason to draw people in though.
3953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon to accept Bitcoin? on: November 10, 2017, 06:35:06 PM
amazon can’t accept bitcoin because it is like google , facebook (government companies ) but hope to accept it will add new real jobs and good way to use bitcoin
How is that any reason? And how are they "government companies"? They're private companies, just like Valve which already accepts Bitcoins on Steam.
3954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My strategy for the next hardfork SEGWIT2X on: November 10, 2017, 06:30:23 PM
Split your investments,
30% for BTC and 70% in altcoins, because after the segwit 2x BTC price could be dump hardly
and alt is the way to make another profit
What makes you think that the price of bitcoin will dumb as soon as the segwit 2x is activated,i am not sure where the price would go after the fork but i am positive that you wont see a crash unless there is some major issues arising after the fork,i understand both sides of the fork but i am still not sure which will serve us better in the long run.I will hold on to my coins and will decide about it later.
Well, the last time Bitcoin rose this hard it dumped to 50% of its peak and then went flat for quite a while with a slight downward tilt. I doubt that we'll be seeing this again though, at least not this time. A ~50% correction might happen for all I know, but it won't last for years like last time.

my prediction bitcoin could be dump hard after the fork but it will not reach 50% value.
i cant say alot whats make me think about that. bitcoin will start to fall around 15-22th november. max around 10% - 30% from the last price and it will rise again. for long term its still good to keep bitcoin. i believe it will break 10k $/btc next year
The fork has been called off and nothing has really happened to Bitcoin. Around 10% down and back to sideways movements so far. But it has only been a day so we will see how things develop.
3955  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Master Degree Important? on: November 10, 2017, 06:29:24 PM
Do you think that master degree is important? I see that many companies nowadays ask for a master degree but still I know many people who had a job without it. Do you think it is essential?

It depends on what you want, if you wanna be the best in both hands on and theoretical field then taking a masters degree is definitely needed, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you are an underdog if you dont have a masters degree, there are lots of rich people who didn't even went to school, yet they are very successful.
If you want to be "the best" a Master's degree is pointless, because you can study much more efficiently on your own. Going to lectures is a tremendous waste of time and degree programmes are dumbed down so hard that just about anyone could get a degree, simply because they are required for most jobs these days. Ironically enough that demand has turned degrees into worthless pieces of paper.
3956  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin regaining dominance. on: November 10, 2017, 06:27:51 PM
People are moving their alts to bitcoins because of the fork. I expect them to move back to alts after.

But yeah, Bitcoin never really lost dominance. It just regained some lost ground is all.

what is the fork exactly?
It's when the blockchain (the leder that saves all transactions) splits into two. It basically creates two copies of a coin.
Not all the forks are splitting the coin into two because there are two types of forks which are the hard and the soft fork. Soft fork is a kind of fork which it just add or patch the system to become better while hard fork is a fork that creates a new coin or a copy of that coin and improve the system by putting new type of codes.
Thanks for elaborating. Slipped my mind due to the ridiculous amount of hard forks lately.
3957  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does anyone thing most Google products are spying on them? on: November 10, 2017, 06:26:31 PM
Wouldn't limit it to Google products.

And of course.

Well, Facebook and other social media platforms do the same. That's literally where almost their entire revenue comes from.
3958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin. 2017 will be $ 1 in December. on: November 10, 2017, 06:25:11 PM
People saying this is a shit coin will cry by the end of the year. Sure I think $1 is a little high but 0.5$ is not strange and could very likely happen.

It's funny how people on this forum just shout their shit as facts. Perhaps read up on a coin before spouting your nonsense.

With a circulating supply of 111,853,152,884 coins, to hit $.5 the market cap would have to be $55,926,576,422.  Do you in your wildest dreams think Doge can climb all the way up the Coinmarketcap list and beat Ethereum for the number two spot?

For me, even 300 sat is wild speculation - However, I suspect we'll see price over 100 again in the next 6-12 months...
I could see ~100 sat again too, but 300 is a bit too much with the new Bitcoin value.
With the current price of Bitcoin, we need to calculate the Dogecoin price to USD rates instead of Bitcoin rates. Bitcoin has pumped a lot of percents since Dogecoin dumped its value from highest price. If my knowledge isn't wrong, Bitcoin has pumped 300% from that time, so 100 satoshi is right Smiley
That's what I did. I don't know how reliable that is given the amount of new altcoins though.
3959  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sold my Bitcoin today on: November 10, 2017, 06:22:58 PM
I sold my bitcoin today. I think the price jumped too much too fast. My opinion is that it will drop below 5,000 soon and in that case I will buy back again because i expect bitcoin to increase significantly in the long term.
What do you think??
That is a risky play, not many people are selling since they want to obtain free bitcoin gold, so I think you are going to need to wait for some time, because those that get bitcoin gold are going to sell it and get bitcoin with it and that is going to push the price up once again.
I'm supporting your decision. But only if you plan to buy the same amount of coins on lower price. Or even taking 'free' coins instead of 'free' fiat.
Now the price seems to be at it's pick point and I don't believe to reach another all time high soon. Or at least in next 2-3 months.
I think selling bitcoin is not advisable in the current situation because the bitcoin value is growing almost everyday. So, why do you want to sell your bitcoins? The problem with selling your bitcoins now - if you sell it now you won't be able to buy the same equivalent when you want to buy. It's better to hold on your bitcoins.
The point is simply that nobody knows how long it will keep climbing before it corrects. Trying to catch the ups and downs is a very risky game though.
3960  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble or Not? on: November 10, 2017, 06:20:06 PM
No yet, 100k before 5 years...YES
Now is only pump with correction, no awesome bubble...

Bubble or not, bitcoin can reach $100,000 soon and I don't care about on what year or how many years does it need to take just to reach that amount. And it sounds and looks good when the price reaches at $100,000 for about 5 years. What I'm thinking is on how John McAfee will eat his d on national television if the price never gets into $500,000 for 3 years.
I don't think he will eat anything. His prediction was merely an observation of exponential trends, which could lead to a price of $500,000 in 3 years easily. The only relevant question to that prediction is how long the exponential growth will continue.
