3941  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could ‘easily double’ in 2018, says Fundstrat’s Tom Lee on: January 10, 2018, 03:08:36 PM
we are surely to have a very bumpy road ahead of us before we can see any kind of rise (double or otherwise).

and at this point from what i have seen in the past week, i think the short term future of bitcoin price is going to be tightly affected by news. if a real and major news comes out regarding bitcoin it can cause the rise (if positive) or fall (if negative) of bitcoin in short term.
but it needs to be a real big news to be able to get bitcoin out of this ditch.
3942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates wasn’t joking when he said Bitcoin was better than Fiat Currency on: January 10, 2018, 02:53:03 PM
He is definitely a man who sees opportunities and think far ahead. Bitcoin is good, but blockchain technology is the main thing that is most important as that can change lives and create a better future for us.

Yes, he is clearly open minded. Peter Thiel made similar comments aswell regarding bitcoin. I believe the broader public and financial sector is already beginning to open its eyes to the potential with all cryptocurrencies.

most of the technologically advanced minded people have been open minded about bitcoin too. you can't see any one of them making weird comments about bitcoin.
all the negativity and FUD always comes from "businessmen" who are making a living by trading. they spread it to get a possible better position and make more money. and the "broader public" has been falling for this FUD so far. but slowly they stop believing it.
3943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are traders denying new users? on: January 10, 2018, 02:45:00 PM
this is the first time i am hearing some exchange is not accepting new members! they have always accepted new accounts but if they can't handle them they will just make their verification take a very long time and keep them in "pending" status!

luckily there are a lot exchanges out there that you can use to trade. look here for a very long list of them. https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/
3944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microsoft Removes Bitcoin on: January 10, 2018, 02:38:07 PM
did Microsoft really remove bitcoin payment option or is it just another FUD because price has been moving sideways?!

in any case i find it pretty interesting that Microsoft has been accepting bitcoin payment for a couple of years now (probably 3 years) and nobody talked about it at all. 0 news in any of these news sites. now that there is a rumor about it, every one of them is talking about it!
3945  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the reason no one is using BTC/USD on BTCChina? on: January 09, 2018, 04:19:54 PM
the volume of BTCC is not that low. according to coinmarketcap.com it has been 17,538BTC in the past 24 hours which places it among the top 10 exchanges in BTC/USD market with highest trading volume. so people are jumping on the ship already.

but also don't forget that BTCC is based in China (Shanghai-based) and the Chinese are not usually the first choice for people to go to. and it is not easy to trust them when PBoC is coming down on them every now and then, closing and opening them as they like!
3946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can you get rich even if you are stupid? on: January 09, 2018, 03:38:20 PM
only if you win the lottery and even then a stupid person will not "remain" rich which is the more important part of getting rich.

and other than winning the lottery all the idiots are losing money even if they don't admit it. sometimes they are dumber to notice they are losing money in total too Wink

A coin that has literally no uses, no devs, nothing and yet if you had or bought coins when it was blank cents, not long ago, you could have made a xblank almost with a scam coin.

fill in the blanks and you would be talking about most of the altcoins out there.
and the thing is, people don't care these days. they only want profit in short term. most of the times they see it as a form of gambling. instead of rolling the dice they come invest in a random altcoin.
3947  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to the banks if people uses cryptocurrencies more than fiat? on: January 09, 2018, 03:27:05 PM
i do believe that fiat and the centralized form of currency will never go away. even if bitcoin (or any decentralized cryptocurrency not the centralized altcoins) become more popular and used more often there will still be fiat in some form be used and still be centralized.

that means banks will always be at work.
also don't forget that banks are basically a big business that works with money. they open accounts, give profit on the money you "invest" with them. they give loans and do a lot of things and offer lots of services like credit cards. these don't go anywhere.
3948  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 8 days and my transaction is still pending at Yobit on: January 09, 2018, 03:03:10 PM
you have not posted any transaction ID. even checking your post history shows you only shared your bitcoin address.
that address has one incoming transaction which is already confirmed and another outgoing with transaction ID is this:
https://blockchain.info/tx/7fdfcb3f988a621e2bd6d4441e490ec3c6f64e322301ff77b530d58295e68b45
which one of these is yours?

this transaction has a very low fee of 124 satoshi/byte and it will not be confirmed for a very long time.
3949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? Which is the best way to earn Bitcoin? on: January 09, 2018, 02:57:14 PM
the key is to make something bigger than minimum wage based on the work you do. for example most of the "jobs" that people do and you also have in your list such as "fauceting" is a total waste of time and you will earn a lot more money by doing anything else.

so in order to get your answer just look at how much each of these make for you. then compare it with the time you spent making it.
3950  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PSA: Electrum has a critical security vulnerability on: January 08, 2018, 04:27:12 PM
Anyway, why do not you use a hardware wallet? I have been using electrum for a while, and i stopped using it because i knew that it was a little bit vulnerable, that is why i prefered to invest $70 and buy a ledger.

Guys, just stop risking your asses just invest some money and protect all your assets.

there also has been bugs in hardware wallets. that is why some people say there is no 100% safe thing.

in any case i personally don't use hardware wallets because i was capable of simply creating a secure setup for my bitcoins in a cold storage. i have them on a Linux OS with multiple encryptions and its network cut off for good.
3951  Economy / Economics / Re: A Bubble will come, but when? on: January 08, 2018, 04:06:36 PM
bitcoin was a big bubble when it went up from around $10,000 to $20,000 and in the past (nearly) 1 month this bubble burst and with the huge drop that happened afterwards it is now done and over with. there is no longer any bubble. and despite what most people think bubbles don't have to be gigantic with a 90% drop!!! it can also be a big one with a 30-40% drop.

as for altcoins they go into bubbles every couple of months that they get pumped hard. but since the market is growing full of newbies, most of them don't drop down to their initial levels because of them when the bubble bursts.
3952  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market is on fire today! on: January 08, 2018, 03:57:57 PM
i see nothing new today to be honest.
just another massive scale dump after a lot of altcoins have been pumped and people were warning you to get out before it is late. and i have half a mind to say this time the dump began with altcoins and the sheer amount of money exiting caused a drop in bitcoin too. although if this were true, that would be the first time the drop happens in the opposite direction.
3953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinmarketcap Excludes South Korean Prices, Total Market Cap Drops by $50bn on: January 08, 2018, 03:30:09 PM
when coinmarketcap.com excludes an exchange, what happens is that the total volume drops because the (possibly) fake volume is no longer a part of their total stats.

market capitalization on the other hand is NOT affected by this. because it is simply (price * supply) and neither of these change when they exclude an exchange from their list!

the reason why the MC dropped is because altcoins are getting dumped hard. specially big ones such as Ripple and Ethereum.
3954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen to bitcoin? Going down. a correction? on: January 08, 2018, 03:24:16 PM
What happen to bitcoin? going down.
most of the coin going down. or just a correction.

bitcoin is not exactly going down! it is still fluctuating between two prices: $13000 and $15000 and yesterday it seemed (to me at least) that it was getting ready to break out and start the rally but it seems like it was soon so now a correction is needed here (back to $14k+) to go back up again afterwards.

altcoins are getting dumped because they need to get out of their bubbles and since every trader is seeing the bitcoin action is starting up they are dumping altcoins to switch to bitcoin now.
3955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All crypto currency down :P on: January 08, 2018, 03:11:43 PM
the dump is always happening globally.

people are always happy to see the altcoins getting pumped but what they miss is the fact that when altcoins are getting pumped a lot of newbies are investing in them and that means a lot of weak hands who will dump just as fast when they start to feel fear because price is dropping.

and people are starting to catch on the fact that when bitcoin drops all altcoins drop with it.
3956  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PSA: Electrum has a critical security vulnerability on: January 07, 2018, 03:57:31 PM
this is going to cause some issues for many users. specifically those that are on older versions of Windows like windows 7 have had a tough time upgrading to versions above 3.0 because of the migration to python3.

does anyone have any solution for that that doesn't involve dropping windows?
3957  Economy / Economics / Re: How would Bitcoin react to a global financial crisis? on: January 07, 2018, 03:40:07 PM
if it was a year+ ago i would have said not much effect apart from a little rise because of it.
but we are talking about 2018 a year after a lot of adoption mainstream and otherwise has actually happened. we now have NASDAQ talking about adding bitcoin market!

people are considering bitcoin as an investment option and it is a lot more convenient than things like gold. you hold bitcoin yourself without anyone even knowing. it  doesn't need storage "space" like gold and a lot of more benefits. if a global financial crisis happens, bitcoin will shoot up to the moon in a very short time. i believe $1 million is even possible.
3958  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 2,4 million in 30 days ? on: January 07, 2018, 03:27:19 PM
I think it is possible i have a very smart trick that i use and i know that 99% of the people not use this trick, this is my 3th day and now i am believing this will work the first day i maked 56% and 2th day 39% and it looks now that the 3th day will make between 50-60% profit

When the 30 days pass I will let you know if I succeed and I will tell you how I did it, you do not have to be a trading expert at all, but you just have to think out of the box.

i wish you success and i would love to hear how you did in long term. so make sure to share it with us.

but i have to warn you that the altcoin market that you are trading in is not so kind as it seems at the moment. and i am speaking from personal experience, you think you got the market by the balls and figured it out but it is temporary since everything is rising. there comes a time when you follow what you thought were true and end up getting on a losing streak instead.
3959  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BUYING ALTCOINS WITH " PAIRINGS " on: January 07, 2018, 03:18:58 PM
it is a bit hard to answer your question literary so let me tell you my plan.

i believe in the future of bitcoin and i say it will be worth a lot more than what it is right now. lets say i have $1000 to invest and nothing more. that gives me some amount of bitcoin. in order to add to it, i trade altcoins so that i can make profit on the bitcoin that i already have.
so if i invest in X i do it with BTC and if X goes up i have increased my BTC and if it goes down i have decreased it.

now for me, i don't care if bitcoin is volatile now. if it goes up or down in short term. i am increasing my BTC and i as i said above believe it will be worth a lot more than  the current value.

and this is the view that i think most of the altcoin traders share. if you start wanting profit on your USD then things become a lot more complicated specially since most coins can even be traded with fiat.
3960  Economy / Economics / Re: 18% of Investors Buy Bitcoin With Borrowed Money on: January 07, 2018, 06:30:52 AM
well, this is nothing new. people have been making investments like this (with the money they do not own) for a very long time. of course some small number of them do this with some calculation of the risks but most of them do it recklessly. and this is not limited to bitcoin at all, they have been doing this in stocks market and in many other markets and investment types.

sometimes it is a good thing to take risks like this for example you borrow money and invest it in your own business and make it grow and pay it back after earning a lot more profit.
but sometimes some people do it just because they feel left out and want to take huge risks and it can end badly.
