3961  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FBI Arrested Teenager For Assisting ISIS Recruitment on: March 12, 2015, 06:43:08 PM
What do you think will be the move of the goverment when something like this happened?
http://bitforum.info/t/fbi-arrested-teenager-for-assisting-isis-recruitment/383

Do you think theres more of them?
Note: This was the second incident that happened last week. First was Bryce Weiner.

I think the government will rise its level of control to all the bitcoin site in US and outside (they can do if they really want). However I do not like to see "bitcoin" correlated with the word terrorist, because the people will continue think that it is a bad thing (but all we know that it is not a bad thing). As it is written in the article:

'He in no way came across as any sort of extremist,' O'Bryant said. 'My hope is that there was some kind of misunderstanding, that he didn’t know who he was helping.'

3962  Other / Meta / Re: report to moderator on: March 12, 2015, 06:08:23 PM
what matter the most is the knowledge of the forum rules

I disagree with this. Even though a person must know forum rules to be a staff but a person who know forum rules may not be able to judge the reports.

If a *person* knows the forum rules , then in this case he will be able to handle the reports. Now I do not think new moderator is needed (maybe only for the local boards, if someone of us can speak/write (fluent) various languages maybe he will have a high chance to manage that section ).
3963  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Talk account hacked any way to recover? on: March 12, 2015, 06:03:14 PM
It is *almost* impossible to prove an hack attack, the real owner should post some valid proofs and specially "tell the truth". I'm sure that if the story was real , theymos would have recovered/give back the account in less then one week to the real owner (like some old cases).
3964  Other / Meta / Re: report to moderator on: March 12, 2015, 05:42:03 PM
is there any benefits for reporting post to moderaror?

Yes offcourse if you are hero or above member here, and your reporting percentage is good then you have a chance to become a mod here.

There is no certain rank for becoming a mod. Persons can moderate are fit to be a moderator regardless of their rank but Newbie usually isn't a good idea because of the time limit IMHO.

At the end it is also a question of rank, because a newbie doesn't know all the forum yet and he may be in difficult to moderate it (that's obvious). People like full member and above have a high chance respect the other low ranks (this is only a personal opinion).
3965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Everything Be Decentralized? on: March 12, 2015, 05:39:11 PM
Something should be centralized.
Not everyone is educated.

Look at those scammers and thieves who are on always on a prowl for unsecured sites, they do it because there is no central entity that will fuck him up if he did those things.

So, we sometimes need it.
Like it or not we are heading towards a totally decentralized technological future, or at least the option of being at a totally decentralized internet.

Yes of course, the idea of decentralize everything is good but the process might be very very difficult because some people dont like to "decentralize" all the life aspect (yes I know it is hard to understand, but this is true). The freedom and the decentralization are really correlated.
3966  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Canada? Police Can Force You to Show Them Everything You Have on Your Phone on: March 12, 2015, 05:18:18 PM
That's insane, where is the privacy? Can they really look "into" your phone? I cannot or better "I do not know" how they can do this (and obviously I will go to Canada one day  , I really want to see if they will ask me to show my phone).
3967  Other / Meta / Re: Account Stolen Convicted2008 on: March 12, 2015, 04:52:10 PM
Hey guys,

yesterday I have sent a PM to vit1988 (admin of coinichiwa.com) and I asked him about this situation. Convicted2008 aka Neonecrox13 said the problem was a dicebot ( named 999DICE.EXE) a fake bot (maybe a keylogger).

Reference :
LOOK THROUGH THE HISTORY I FUCKING USED OGNASTY FOR THE ESCROW OF THE SILVERFISH WHEN I BOUGHT THEM. I BOUGHT THE S1 OFF HERE AS WELL.  THE HISTORY OF THE ACCOUNT WILL SHOW THAT IF YOU FUCKING LOOKED.

ALSO. I've very active in games and rounds? LOOK AT THE DATES. ITS JUST BEEN FOR THIS WEEK! I NEVER EVEN KNEW GAMES AND ROUNDS EXISTED UNTIL A WEEK AGO IF THAT.

I DIDN'T BUY FUCKING SHIT. I MADE THAT ACCOUNT WHEN I FIRST STARTED LEARNING ABOUT BITCOINS. I CAN GUARENTEE IF THE MODS WILL SHOW WHAT DATE THE EMAIL WAS CHANGED IT WILL COINCIDE WITH WHEN I POSTED ABOUT MY FORTUNEJACK ACCOUNT BEING HACKED AFTER I DOWNLOADED A 999DICE.EXE I THOUGTH WAS A DICE BOT.

IF I WAS THAT FUCKING CANDYSTRIPES U FUCKING THINK I'M GONNA SPEND THIS MUCH FUCKING TIME ARGUEING WITH YOU OR TRYING TO FIND A ANSWER? IF YOU HAVE DEALT WITH THEM ENOUGH APPARENTLY U KNOW THERE TYPING MANNERISMS AND OTHER THINGS ABOUT THEM? DO I FUCKING SOUND LIKE THEM? FUCK NO I READ THAT CHAT U WAS HAVING WITH THEM. THAT WHORE CAN'T EVEN SPEAK FUCKING ENGLISH. A FUCKING IDIOT CAN SEE THAT.

THATS WHAT I'M TRYING TO TELL YOU. I NEVER BOUGHT THAT ACCOUNT THAT MY MY FIRST ACCOUNT I HAD AND HAVE ALWAYS USED. I CAN'T FUCKING SEARCH BUT EVERY 90 SECONDS NOW BUT LOOK THROUGHT CONVICTED2008'S HISTORY. THEY ARE POSTS THAT SHOW I WAS HACKED ON OR ABOUT THAT DATE U SAY I BOUGHT THE ACCOUNT. I HAD NO IDEA THAT THEY HAD GOT MY BITCOINTALK ACCOUNT AS WELL UNTIL YESTERDAY

Vit1988 has replied to me (with the chat log) that an user named "Tiktakbym159" has posted the link of that "bot" in the chat , this is the log:

Now I can tell that (at 99%) the Convicted2008's forum account was victim of a malicious .exe file .

I would like to personally thank you Redsnow for this. I feel that you have went above and beyond what anybody would have done. I do feel that you are also entitled to the bounty I offered to show that I had no involvement in this act against Quickseller. I do apologize to Quickseller because of this even though I had no action involved. Redsnow I will message you as well about the btc I'm gonna send you. Thank you very much for this post.

No problem you are welcome, If I can help someone, why shouldn't I do ? Now I suggest you to wait a reply from the admin, and I hope that you can get back the account.

Thanks for the attention and have a great day. Good luck.
3968  Other / New forum software / Re: Marketplace on: March 12, 2015, 01:17:48 PM
Are you considering adding a "marketplace" feature? Where you can bid, buy it now, etc. Not in a post anymore, more like a listing.

I do not think it is necessary, this is a forum of *bitcoin* in which people are discussing about it  , it was not created for be  a "marketplace ". It is not useful (in my opinion).
3969  Other / Meta / Re: report to moderator on: March 12, 2015, 01:09:01 PM

Yes of course, you are helping to keep the forum clean from the spammers.
3970  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could 1 satoshi become worth $1? on: March 12, 2015, 01:06:25 PM
No I do not think that 1 satoshi will be valuable 1 dollar (at least not in 5-10 years). I think instead in the next 50-60 years maybe we can talk 1 satoshi = ~ 0.25 dollar (but it is only a simple supposition we cannot anticipate the future).

3972  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] [++ RATES THAN DaDice] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: March 11, 2015, 09:06:13 PM
Vote here please :

Create a last payment list in bitsig.website\beta ?

- Good idea , i can see what I received last days

- Not a good idea , keep privacy ; also users can saw their last payment from the pms and ,,,

Kind of Respect ,
Bitcoin Boy

I vote for the first opinion, I think it will be an useful feature. If it is not possible I suggest to add at least the day when each of us will be paid.

Thanks for the attention.
3973  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: WTS HERO MEMBER ACCOUNT on: March 11, 2015, 08:24:50 PM
I was thinking about 0.80 BTC as i see the prices others ask.
SIgned messag OK but you have to say how i have to do that.

Do you use blockchain.info ? Here the "how-to" for sign a message with a bitcoin address : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=180068.msg1879587#msg1879587

What do you mean with : "do you use blockchain.info"?

He means what bitcoin wallet are you using. That's to help you on signing a message. You'll also need to have posted a BTC address from the account you're selling.

No, it's not blockchain.info that i use.

If you are interested in the account you can always bid in PM or here.

Can I ask you which wallet are you using for store the address? So we can help you to sign a message, but this is strange because you are saying :

SIgned messag OK but you have to say how i have to do that.

but you don't know how to sign a message from a known/public address that the real owner (you) have posted in this forum.
3974  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: March 11, 2015, 06:57:29 PM
Bit-x has reduced its pay rates.

Where it is posted ? If it is some where please provide us the link, and dont post if you dont know about any thing. I think its the bug in the site and it will be corrected soon.
yeah it's real
that was bad news, for sure Sad
you can check from http://bitsig.website/beta/
Sr.Member like me get pay 0.0011 per post, reduce 0.0003

That's pretty surprising given the fact that just yesterday dadice made their first payment and all went smoothly (IMO).  Additionally, there's the fact that as of last week bit-x was explicitly advertising against dadice's campaign saying "our rates are better".  I can't help but wonder if there's something regarding the marcotheminer ban which is related to this.  By the way, is he back yet?

there is a chance that the rates has been reduced only for users with high rate of insubstantial posts.

But we will only be certain once Marco is back

I have checked a few users that have already received the payment for their first week and I have seen that the payRate has lowered for all these users. So it seems there are the new payRate for the bit-x signature campaign (Maybe marcotheminer can updated this page "http://bitsig.website/" and make a sort of  *log* with all the changes).

3976  Other / Meta / Re: Would you like to see ChangeTip working here and in forums generally? on: March 11, 2015, 06:23:42 PM
Really don't see the point when you can already tip members with their profile's btc address (assuming they've got one).

Not against it either, good if there was an option to hide Changetip if implemented. At the very least it would give people a choice.

I think the problem is that some people want an user-friendly system, like changetip (this is the unique reason valid).

What is un-user friendly about copy/pasting someone's BTC address into your wallet and sending them a tip?

I think ChangeTip is great for Twitter and the like, but totally unnecessary here.

The part in bold is what I'm meaning when I said "not user friendly". Not for me, but only for a lot of people that "want" an immediate and responsive software (I hope you understand).

I (also) agree with the BadBear's idea, it will be useful to disable the view of an ad (with the use of some specific words). In these days a lot of users have been banned so I think this feature should be implemented as soon as possible (will it be difficult to add in this forum software?).

3980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guard your Bitcoin with Stainless Steel Cold Storage on: March 11, 2015, 04:36:54 PM
I like the idea of a stainless steel cold storage, but it is much expensive. A simple paper wallet "guarded" safely is also better and it is "free". Instead the possible cost of that steel cold storage is "... between a bottle of rum and pair of sneakers."  = ~ 150-200 dollars (I suppose).
What Rum are you drinking and what sneakers are you wearing? I expect 20-50$ but I don't see how a Guarded paper wallet is any better? I mean the only issue with this is someone can open it, take a pic with a camera and put it back and your coins are gone.

Expensive ones , however 20-50 dollars seems a reasonable price and maybe I will buy one of these steel cold storage. A paper wallet is safe if you guarded it safely, like all the other things for example your credit card, your money (if you have a strongbox), etc...
