3981  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we headed for 250k btc in 12-18 months? on: July 14, 2020, 11:56:19 AM
I hope that the crystal ball is not telling a lie.
Though I appreciate people who have been optimistic about the market but I wasn't to expect to be like this, $250k in 12 months? Maybe I was not dreaming of hearing this price, but to be honest, this is purely imagining. Well that you say that 2017 price has been predicted, maybe you right and maybe just a lucky coincidence. And ain't to expect that the market will rally the same as it has been in the last 207 Bullrun, $250k is out from reality and couldn't find a thing to support that even experts can't tell as well.
3982  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tell me a reason why I should use online wallet. on: July 14, 2020, 10:23:24 AM
I was having an argument with one guy from the internet. He uses online wallet instead of an offline. I tell him that bitcoin loses its point if you use an online wallet. He's also trying to convince me to use it too because it's more simple than an offline. I doubt. Anyway, I want one, only one reason, that online wallets are better than the offline ones.

The fact that millions of people use blockchain.com pisses me off. I don't know if the majority of users choose online, but they are many for sure.
To the fact that having a hard wallet is quite expensive, It probably more crypto holders are still using an online wallet. I don't think it is a need to have those expensive ones if we only just hold a few BTC's. That hacking sentiment is our concern in order to have an offline wallet, well, that it only depends on how we handle our wallet keys. Because even we have an offline wallet it still won't guarantee that we are free from hackers.

For if you are just an ordinary trader or holders, there is no need to purchase hard wallets coz it only costs a lot.
And one reason why I preferred an online wallet is that you can access your wallet quickly as long as you have the internet.
3983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines SEC warns against crypto investment. on: July 13, 2020, 11:50:49 PM
There are many countries in the world who say they will do it but do not implement it. Yes, some countries have banded crypto investment for their country. But the situation in the Philippines has gotten so bad that the government has been forced to do it. I think this is a good initiative of the government to save the people of the country from scmmers

It all varies on its citizens because no matter how they do imposed strict regulations or some sort if people of that country is still too greedy when it comes to any investment

then for sure they would really be ending up on being a victim of any scams out there not only limited to crypto  but also on traditional way of things.

People should learn up much on how these scams work and dont let themselves to fall due to their greed.
It is obvious they are. People who have greedy minds will surely fall into their traps. Scamming will never have an end because they will still find a way to fulfill their bad intention and they also know that greedy people will never change and still be greedy. No wonder how this will happen to them because, in the first place, they are allowing this kind of scheme to control their minds.

It was the SEC obligation to warns people and give them the possible case it happens but that also it depends on how the people will interact with it. SEC can't do anything if the people won't listen and follow their advice.
3984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Upgrade Stole My Bitcoin on: July 13, 2020, 10:09:02 PM
What a tricking message just to fool someone new to the market. This will happen over and over again tends to lost potential investors away from crypto because of these phishing sites and scamming activities.

BTW, It is really sorry to have this bad experience, you can't bring it back to you as it was totally gone. However, it is probably not the end of your crypto journey, I understand it is really a big loss but I believe also that you can still have that amount of you never quite. But of course, you should use reliable sites and be careful in using a wallet, much better to use a hard wallet to give additional safety and the most important it, you don't need to reply someone/strangers that sends a message to you in regards to wallet upgrade or anytime coz it redirects you in the fake site.
3985  Economy / Speculation / Re: TA indicates a bull run is coming on: July 13, 2020, 09:45:34 PM
I hope this something will work, not actually it meant to be real as the economic situation still at worst but can't just disclose that the crypto market is still healthy and soon to be bullish as I believe. If this Bitcoin adoption momentum will continue there are no doubts that we can reach back to $10k again. It only needs more time as we understand that the situation might hold the people to invest crypto as their main concern is all about health. This probably the reason why we even don't surpass the $10k wall after it drops back.

We are looking for more resistance but unfortunately, we are still keeping low which affects the trend and kept this current price range for a few weeks.
3986  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why hasn’t Bitcoin’s price skyrocketed? on: July 12, 2020, 10:56:31 PM
Not really the moment has come for Bitcoin to make another high. The current momentum show stability in the crypto prices, I don't know how the pandemic situation brought something to this bust most likely it affects the trend. However, though we can't see its surging price but look at its price for the past weeks, it still in good shape things that we can't be worried about.

Moving forward, Bitcoin adoption has to get stronger now. Though we can't see it is skyrocketed at this time but not in a way that we live like this forever. There is a perfect time for that, and I believe it to come sooner, we all just be positive for that will only help us to at ease than to worry.
3987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we invest in a bitcoin exchange? on: July 12, 2020, 10:30:40 PM
After many years of trading, I realized that I should have my own bitcoin exchange. With a volatile bitcoin market investing in a bitcoin exchange is really beneficial. I need more sincere advice? After consulting a number of suppliers. Only $ 10,000 for a bitcoin exchange. Details:bitcoin exchange source code . With such an amount, should an bitcoin exchange be invested?

It all depends on dedication and eventually luch will shine your way. Few days ago, someone asked cz_binance on twitter for his advice about people looking to run a successful exchange just like him and his reply was that it is not late to start anything, so far you love and have passion for something and when you give it your best, luck will shine through one day no matter how difficult it might seems
Well, that it matters most "dedication" but also it something to rely on the funds you've been holding and the people around you who give their knowledge to completely work. We can make it alone as we know that, we assume that you have the dedication and optimism but can't assure also that your teammates will work the same as you. You all need their commitment as well and that for sure it works smoothly but I say, we don't need to rush, it would in perfection, timing, and having a concrete plan.

Not because you'll have already the money (enough to start) but look into yourself also and your people if they are ready for this.
3988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Institutional Investors Continue to Buy Bitcoin on: July 11, 2020, 03:09:16 PM
Institutional investors will soon to control the market and create hypes aside from whales. They are actively participating in the market and keep buying for some reason. That is too intense to see but to know they are not risking their money for anything, they'll have a plan for it things that we never know.

The growing numbers of crypto users emphasize something relevant to how the market will change in the future. In fact, we already have feel it now amidst the pandemic. Online and cashless transaction is mostly we used now, things that Bitcoin places a big role and that we think how it could possibly be more usable in the coming days. If these Institutional Investors are accumulating more Bitcoins, they are pretty anticipating the market movement and to live with Bitcoin.
3989  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those reliable exchanges on the market on: July 11, 2020, 08:21:03 AM
My friend told me that you can trade in Binance and make transactions without even accessing its verification, which is I tried.

But verification is one of the most important things in a certain exchange as it promotes that stability and legitimacy of a certain platform.

In this platform, I tried to do future trading and as I make transactions, I'm comfortable with its features and interface. But you should be careful of high fluctuations that can make you lose your assets and money. You should be mindful of the date in the calendar and the prices of your assets so that you are aware of those expiration dates. Overall, Binance is a good but not the best for me as an exchange.
You can't find a certain exchange that works perfectly, not even Binance nor the others. We all had never forgotten the hacking scenario but they rebuild their reputation proving that they are worth our trust. All reputable exchanges are working hard to make it acceptable to the traders and users but we have our own choice and of course, it depends on our experience

I used Binance apps on my phone and it works great, nothing I got trouble and even compromise. I was comfortable using this that is why I'll keep using this. It doesn't matter what exchanger is the number one but the one that matters most is how we are comfortable in using it.
3990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What did you look out for before investing in an altcoin? on: July 10, 2020, 03:49:24 PM
snipped~

You all have the list OP to check and I believe that it was enough to know a legit project or not. But also you have to remember that not all projects that have a very good start will also likely have an amazing journey because some of them also get lost. The risk can't be lost because at any time of the day it can be changed also. That is why choosing the right coin needs to be (almost)perfect to avoid losses to our ends. But that is difficult when you are not familiar with the market and also when you are new to this. We don't need to be rush and lastly, we don't need to be FOMO. These things could save us from losing.
3991  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else see a big bitcoin upwards movement coming very soon? on: July 10, 2020, 10:20:29 AM
I keep optimistic even though the chances are tin but I wasn't thinking that it makes a huge jump seeing another ATH, it probably not this year, not even next year, yet it comes soon (nobody knows). If given a chance that it surpasses $10k this year it actually a big in disguise knowing how hard we are about today. We are still in the fight against the virus, things that it most likely affects the market behavior, and surely we still experiencing the same scenario in the coming days.

Maybe we all see's and feel how hard we move after a long bearish since last year. We are happy for the halving but things we can just rely upon and think the massive impact it could be. Somewhat we are unlucky this time as the pandemic hits us.
3992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are happy only when the price goes up? on: July 10, 2020, 07:03:52 AM
Because they only think of profit. They do not understand the benefits of lowering the price of Bitcoin. This increases the chances of investing more in Bitcoin. This is a great opportunity for new Bitcoin investors. However, for those who have bought Bitcoin at a very high price, it is actually a lot of sad news.

There are people who are just aiming to have a quick benefits, traders who are being sad when
experiencing huge losses due to market movements.
But to those who understand how volatilities can bring favors, both sides of market run can be
turned into  a favor if you position yourself to the right place.
Bitcoin, aside from being an alternative currency also serves as store value of investment, so most
who holds and keeping prefer to see the rise in value.
Most people hold for a reason that they can earn from it. It is obvious people get happy when the market rises after they bought Bitcoin. They'll be making money in a very short period of time? and they keep buying for they'll think it happen again and again. It all looks impossible if there is no volatility and it places a big role in the market for it greatly gives favor to everyone who wants to invest crypto.

For the place whose crypto isn't accepted as another mode of payment, they are actually considering this as a pure investment. Nothing they for their Bitcoin but they converted it into FIAT money once done.
3993  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's ok if your profits are less on: July 08, 2020, 11:16:30 AM
I know that $50 profit after years of waiting is really not worth it but that is good for now than nothing. Besides, you'll be lucky enough to get in the time of selling because anytime it can be changed by then. This is what it simply means about holding, you can't expect its price to rise and that makes you also think of making a hefty profit later.

I'm glad to see that you are not a greedy person to always think more and there is contentment inside. Most holders think differently as what you have done, most of them are thinking much and really optimistic but the situation is not really good at this time especially for altcoins. That is why we have to make a safe exit than nothing left at our hands.

3995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin truly a safe-haven asset? on: July 07, 2020, 09:14:17 PM
Nothing to say that Bitcoin is truly a safe-haven asset since its creation but have something to say that it was really potentially profitable. What does it look like that it is because of its volatility feature which really far different from the others? Gold is also (less) volatile, and I think all the assets around but they all just of big difference from how Bitcoin moves and easily gets affected.

But why still a lot of people investing Bitcoin? As I've mentioned, it was potentially a gaining asset that most people had admired most more than enough to compared gold. But the thing to be clear is that the risk is high than the rest.
3996  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who will do the IEO of the crypto exchange market? on: July 07, 2020, 12:02:09 PM
I understand why investors are choosing ICO that has been supported by any know exchanges. BNB has a surprising trend that never been expected to look that way. Not only because it was back-up by Binance but it is most likely investors look differently and potentially profitable compared to the others. Do we think that this will also happen to other projects? Not really sure but if that project will show the same with, it certainly attract investors and traders. It somehow many projects didn't mean that looks but obviously nothing and hopeless ends.

3998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines SEC warns against crypto investment. on: July 06, 2020, 12:53:41 PM
Not familiar with these two  "RCashOnline and "The Saint John of Jerusalem Knights of Malta Foundation of the Philippines, Inc." but the other ponzi scheme who used to be called "Forsage" does really make a noise which eventually managed to persuade numerous Filipino citizen including few of my acquaintances.

As far as I know, the founder of forsage pyramiding x crowdfunding x ponzi scheme is also the founder of smartway.run and Million Money which also turns out to be a vaporware project that promotes matrix or pyramiding cycle with no existing product to offer.

Forsage is just another BS that uses referal program to earn; as long as you are at the top of the chain you have the advantage to earn as much compare to people who are late to join the boat.

Remember that not all projects which uses "blockchain" are all legit.
Not even familiar with two as you've mentioned. And unlikely it was happening how these people (scammers) ruin the image of crypto and take advantage of the NO-HOW investors who been fooled with.

They are just trying to help them avoid scams which is why I wouldn't worry too much unless the government announces a ban or something which still isn't a big deal since there are methods to bypass these bans.
I'm glad also to hear how the SEC reacts to the situation where there is an increase in fraudulent and scamming activities around. This really alarming... And we should be vigilant enough by not letting these scammers will succeed.
3999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Philippines SEC warns against crypto investment. on: July 06, 2020, 11:54:00 AM
Last July 1, The Security and Exchange Commission warns the Filipino community in regard to the crypto investment scheme as a claim like a Ponzi scheme.

This is their claims...

"Philippine SEC warns against investment schemes including one based on the Ethreum blockchain it says is a Ponzi scheme.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the Philippines has warned the public against individuals and groups engaged in unauthorized crypto investments and trading, according to an announcement on July 1.

The Philippine SEC warned those who were involved in crypto schemes could face a fine or 21 years of imprisonment or both."

You can read the entire article: https://cointelegraph.com/news/philippine-sec-warns-against-crypto-schemes

I don't know how this will affect the adoption here in the Philippines but it something will give a negative impact as people will also think negatively when they hear and read for this.

Would like to hear your thoughts especially for Filipino members here.
4000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some college students in Alabama bet money to see who gets COVID19 first on: July 04, 2020, 12:49:53 AM
Nothing to get crazy but this is absolutely insane.
I don't know what it is in their mind or something they just put themselves funny and being hopeless to the current situation? Though I was desperate for this but not actually gives me a reason to think about it. Who would like to participate?

I supposed to think about betting whos that the last person getting infected.  Cheesy
Of course, I'll bet my self on it.
