41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: February 14, 2018, 01:14:01 AM
Hi All,

Only have remote access to my rigs right now, so can't unplug and play with things.
But, I have recently switched back to mining Zec, and notice that GPU0 (GPU1 in MSI) won't go above 160w, making it hash lower than the rest of the cards on the rigs running at 200w.
Anybody experienced this issue that power % wont change in MSI / mining programs no matter what you set it to in MSI?

edit: only seems to happen with equihash (DSTM and EWBF). GPU0 is stuck at 64% power no matter where the slider is).

Wow pinpins...congrats on the early days of the relaunched site. Response from other miners seems huge; I've haven't seen profit levels from neoscrypt mining like since since the early days and you've got way more overall hashrate now. Way more coins, quick response to coins off chain...just fantastic work man; like a phoenix rising from the ashes! And I'm sure I'm not alone saying I am more than happy to pay the 0.5% fee to help out with the recovery efforts. I honestly think you should keep the very nominal fees around to help out with ongoing expenses, perhaps to replace any hair you may have lost during the stress of the last few weeks. =)

Glad to be back mining on Zerg again!

So far i'm noticing acceptable earnings on switching between all listed algos.
Would you recommend cutting it down to just neo, as it doesnt seem to be hitting it often.

Seems people are slowly coming back Smiley
I'll give it another chance to see if it beats ahash
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 09, 2018, 06:12:21 AM
finally I have no a best for 1080ti
here is my 6X1080ti income this few day:
flypool          0.06X zec/day
ahashpool     0.005x btc/day
zpool            0.003x

I guess the Best is a secret.....

better than my 0.004 btc in the past 24 hours with 11 Ti...
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 09, 2018, 05:35:28 AM
Anybody else experiencing super low earnings with Ahash... seems too low.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] ZERGPOOL.com - NEW!Multialgo, autoexchange, 0% fee, BTC/LTC payout on: February 08, 2018, 07:57:02 AM
People are worried that you do not want to take a fee. Correct it, too, please. But we are waiting for the return. Please inform us. Thanks for your work!

I will implement fee, there is no other way to cover stealed BTC.

UPDATE:

working hard to get us moved to AWS with proper DDoS protection services, which should be payed too.. It takes more time than anticipated, but will try to get all done by weekend time

I don't think anybody will have an issue with a small fee.
Keep up the good work Smiley

I don't know if somebody tried a comparison between ahash and zergpool ?

I have 12 x GTX 1080 Ti on 2 rigs
In January I did arround 0,0055 and 0,007 BTC per day on ahashpool with nemosminer

I saw the shitstorm about pools in the Nemosminer thread and here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2835350.0

Yesterday I did a test and switched a rig on zerg pool
The afternoon (6h test), I did 25% more on zerg pool

This night (10h test), I did 42% more on zerg pool

It's a pretty big difference in my opinion, anybody else tried this ?

Not sure if you saw the ahashpool email response to that FUD....saying it's payouts to their own rigs.

Anyway, I really like ahashpool but have been meaning to try zergpool, currently using sniffdog. I tried mining to zerg but for some reason my data wasn't showing up on their site so I went back to ahashpool. Please do more testing and comparisons, doesn't sound like you did fair comparison because you said your ahashpool results are from Jan and coins went down a lot. Let us know if zerg really is more profitable. Thanks

I've been on zerg since this morning.
Seems to be similar, or slightly worse so far, than ahashpool.
I'll report back after the 24 hr.
Still waiting on ur report sir , Ahashpool for now is giving a lot less , it used to be giving 0.004 with my 8 1080 tis and now not even 0.003 since a day or 2 ago , Could be just pool luck or some bad internet connection or something , Want to know if zergpool is even worth looking into or not

On a side note I have an offer of  buying 4 more 1080 tis @ 1090 $ per card should I go for it , or should I wait for the next nvidia series , anyone has any clue when this might be released ??

Too many auto profit sites coming online now a days , driving profits downs for the coins involved ;/

Zerg got hacked/ddosed.
So it has been down for a fair while, looks like he is aiming to get it back up and running today.
I'll need to test it all again.
So i'm also forced back onto ahash and it's seeming pretty terrible in terms of earnings.

Lots of cards starting to pop up online second hand!
Still outrageously priced, but i'm sure there will be some bargains soon.

Would love to use your pool but pretty much every single ALGO is crashing / buggy for so many unknown reasons - Im using exact same config on zpool/ahash and some reason it just crashes on yours.

Weird, i just changed the pool name on mine and it works fine.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 05, 2018, 10:32:58 PM
If I went back in time to 2012 and mined Bitcoin with this card (just one) what would the hashrate be?

I need to know for debate's sake, not that I'd go and do it. Wink

A trick question?
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Impossible to Buy GPUS on: February 05, 2018, 06:00:57 AM
im trying to put a buy order in for 30 1080ti gpus.. but alas. no one will sell me...

Should be able to collect them over a few days from different sellers.
Drive around to the stores and get the 2 max per person with yourself and a friend, and order the rest online.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 05, 2018, 03:21:14 AM
Do you guys think it would be more profitable to buy a 1080 TI mining rig or invest the money into the market at this point?  I know mining would have consistent earnings over time, but would it beat out the growth of the market in the long run?

Who knows if either will be profitable in the future.
All risky.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 05, 2018, 02:15:58 AM
Reading over the last couple of pages it would seem that a culling of the herd is happening now. For those complaining about a "mere" $6/day, were you mining for more then the past 3 months....? Mining is still in a quite profitable place now compared to the majority of the past ~7-8 years that it's existed.

People get too used to the good times
55  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system is not working, failed! on: February 02, 2018, 12:47:42 AM
It's a pretty good system in theory.
If they allow each user to generate a small amount of merit over time to distriute maybe it will improve.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: how long will the video card shortage last? on: February 02, 2018, 12:26:53 AM
i just bough 12 gtx 1070 with 469$ each. its not that hard to find them, you just have to look everyday. of course you can't just go to a store and find them there waiting for you

Same with a friend who picked up 21 x 1080ti over the past few days at ~1000 usd
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining earnings are terrible, I'm shutting down for a while on: February 01, 2018, 11:47:19 PM
When I got into mining I was making maybe $2 per day per card. Then it shot up to $5 per day, and then over $10.
Now we're back to $5. Sure it's lower, but it's still a profit.
Sell your card if you're that worried, there are many people out there who will want to buy them for a passive profit.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 01, 2018, 06:09:25 AM
Best option is to sell your 1080ti's to desperate people that want more cards for mining, and then buy back 1.5 more cards back in a few weeks from the money.
Best profit.

Hoping the cards don't continue to rise in price.

Fact is, a new batch will be deliverd soon, and 2nd fact is, there won't be so much people in a rush to buy more cards  like last months, since the profits suck, so do not worry, prices will go back to normal.
People buying 1080ti's for 1200 usd these days think the cards wont be available for months, this is exactly what retailers want you to think, cash money

1200 USD is a fair price, you know?

current price in Russia are ~1700 USD/pce.

That's what might be called a desease

That's insane... i'll sell mine to Russia including shipping.

The conversation here is interesting but 256 pages....gosh!

What would be the milestones of the thread if you had to advise on reading, say, 10 pages?

Or a sum-up of the miners, coins, auto-switching, auto-converting, ?

Just read backwards for a while.
Anything too old is likely useless/outdated.
