41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What are small miners doing right now? on: March 02, 2022, 03:52:09 PM
I as a very small miner (only use my own PC), dont see any interest with mining established coins.

A few years ago (I started in 2017) I liked to mine projects that just came out (within the first month from the genesis block) but now I don't want yo investigate every project that comes out, because the 99.9% is pure shit...

For that reason I've been mining a currency that is completely unknown for about a year, that has constant development, quite technical requirements (only linux) and ideas far away from what today day is fashionable... and obviously its value is 0.

The electric bill was paid (largely and for several years) with the 2017´s earnings, so now I am not looking for any profitability, I simply do what I consider correct, without any additional concern.

It's like a hobby, I value knowledge more than getting my investment right... I really do it for the simple fact of not completely abandoning the essence of the crypto world, nor simplifying it as a speculative market... I still have hope that the best is yet to come to come, and that the most important thing that will remain of the entire current bubble will be what we have learned.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lolnero - much privacy! many ASICs! on: February 11, 2022, 09:41:19 PM
The first time I connected to the internet, I did it through my operator's intranet, its own chat, a forum... the internet seemed incredibly big.

Some time later, looking for porn with netscape, a friend of my mother asked me if it was true that there were images of sex with dogs, I asked her; which race?... on the internet there was everything.

Now, after a year following Lolnero, I wonder, why the internet is so tiny?

But it is not that, we are the little ones, we are no longer curious.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XDAG] New Community-based Cryptocurrency - First Mineable DAG ! on: February 01, 2022, 04:00:32 PM
Yeah, I'm back too, surprised to see that not only is he still alive, but he seems better than ever.

The implementation of Xdag un Java, the cross patform gui wallet in go... and the XRandom algo mining are steps in the right direction.

It's funny to think that 4 years after its release, I can still put my personal computer to mining and get a good amount of coins.

There is a new released mining program

Well I take my old Tektonick 4010, I could run a full node in it, and minning, but I cant take any block at all.

I NEED HELP.

46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OCV] ocvcoin - asic mining resistant cryptocurrency on: November 05, 2021, 12:58:40 PM
Good, I install all, run the node, the wallet, the miner... but chain is stuck in block 8968.

47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: November 05, 2021, 10:57:16 AM
Sorry for asking something that might have been asked before (possibly many times) but I was an ICO investor in this and actually cashed out a couple months before Iota launched on the first exchange (whatever it was.)  Sold my stakes on the OTA chat.  Anyway, I doubt I kept a "few" miota or anything, but I'd like to check.

Is there a way to check my really old seed?  Firefly isn't finding anything when I import my keys, but I'd at least like to see my old transactions.  I know I've kept all my keys, but I can't figure out how to update them to the current iteration of Iota.  Thanks.

You miss some migrations before crysalis swap:

Curl and Moonpay ones.

Now your "few" miotas are in hands of Iota Fundation.

I compiled the last version and all work fine, thanks.

Well finally Mining with GPU... with Manjaro its very easy.

If u have AMD, need to install yay https://github.com/Jguer/yay and then

Code:
yay -S rocm-opencl-runtime

If Nvdia

Code:
sudo pacman -S opencl-nvidia

and of course:
Code:
sudo pacman -S opencl-headers
sudo pacman -S ocl-icd
sudo pacman -S base-devel cmake git
sudo pacman -S boost readline libsodium openssl rapidjson

git clone https://gitlab.com/lolnero/lolnero.git

mkdir lolnero/build
cd lolnero/build

cmake -DUSE_OPENCL=ON .. && make

and don't forgot to copy cl.hpp from Khronos Group to
Code:
/usr/include/CL/

I think you are on the right track, but I don't know why it didn't work for you. As far as I know, integrated graphics isn't supported officially by rocm. GPU mining has only been tested on external AMD GPUs running on NixOS.
I dont know what i am doing... I reinstall KDE Manjaro in a Ryzen 1700 with a Vega 56, and i go to make the same with a 1650 laptop.

In the last format, I could install a lot of prerequisites of OpenCl thanks to yay https://github.com/Jguer/yay and some PKGBUILD... but i am a total noob in Linux... and only know how to search in google, and ctrl+C ctrl+V when something could work.

anyway, why do I get these errors when compiling?

Thanks.

PD: Telegram and Twitter hates you, let me know if you make an account in facebook  Grin

Updates:

Oct 21th, 2021

Lolnero moved to GPU mining, since there's a built-in OpenCL miner now. What's interesting is the speed this miner got developed. It literally only took 4 days. Thanks to cruzbit which provided a solid opencl code base to work on.

Perfect, but I can't compile it correctly... anyone could help¿?

Edit: Ok, the solution was to read the error well ... and understand it, because I am a total noob ... I just had to copy some files from the opencl library to / usr / include / CL /

now I could compile, but have this error when mining:

52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: October 07, 2021, 02:09:55 PM
What we want is to get rich now, not to wait 5 years to see if we were right or not.

If you want to get rich now, go play dice. It will take only a second.

If you can't hold GRIN during these times, you don't deserve the wealth the GRIN holders will get 5 years later.

Stay strong and have faith in theymos.

Anticipate too much is not much different from being wrong.

Who invested in Grin since 2019, surely would rather have waited a bit longer ... the BTC / Grin chart makes it clear.

In 5 years surely losing Grin will be just one more among a lot of mistakes... but for sure not the worst.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: October 07, 2021, 12:59:20 PM
The price of Grin is currently low, but there are several reasons to explain it.

1st It cannot be compared with BTC, even with its emission in the first years ... first because GRIN is from 2019 ... and second, because whoever buys coins for HOLD does so thinking about future issuance, not for nothing the price of BTC multiplies with each halving. And Grin with its linear emission, discourages HOLD a lot.

2nd Grin had a spectacular launch, the forum officially adopted it, heavyweights supported it, old school BTC wallet was unfrozen to support it, it was a long-awaited project, with a new approach and technology, really attractive, and with a really high mining difficulty from the beginning. All this hype led to its price being initially high ... very high (The ATH). What has drawn, today, a typical graph of the dump / bump shitcoin.

3rd It is complicated to use ... or at least, very different from other cryptos, especially if you cannot use statepack. and from the beginning it hasn't been very friendly to resource-poor miners either ... its counterpoint being Monero's CPU mining.

4th The attack of the 51% who suffered, the possibility of mimblewimble fail ... together with the linear emission, don't invite to invest NOW in it.

I repeat the price is absurdly low, especially when compared to doggy tokens and similar shit ... but that's the crypto market.

The main problem is that Grin can be seen as a great investment in the very long term, but it is that nobody looks for that anymore and less with cryptos. What we want is to get rich now, not to wait 5 years to see if we were right or not.

Una pequeña compilación de...
lolnero

55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lolnero - much privacy! many ASICs! on: June 10, 2021, 12:31:50 PM
A small compilation about...
lolnero

Lolnero is a fork of Wownero with a linear emission and a SHA-3 PoW.

There is no premine and no dev tax.

Why

The goal of Lolnero is to replace C/C++ with a safer language, and to not hardfork.

Now its 100% CPU mining (SHA3 run well on Ryzen but love ARM mining), at the moment you need a full node (Linux or Android) to mining.

In principle the ecosystem is going well as it is, we are only looking for more nodes to decentralize the network. Pools, gpu miners, windows binary... are not a priority, but if you want, you can do them.

The first rule about lolnero is you don’t talk about lolnero.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sato new kawpow algo coin ready for you on: March 11, 2021, 12:40:42 PM
time will answer
then in the wallet there is no trojan or virus, that idiot who lost raven and continue doing accusations, maybe must learn that he is right if happens to all wallets around,i opened my raven wallet and the coins are still there, this is last time i answer you,and about barking i am not a dog,but sure you are a little idiots behind a monitor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, that's what I wanted, now each one can draw their own conclusions.

See you.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sato new kawpow algo coin ready for you on: March 11, 2021, 12:29:05 PM
yeah same people, continue to think what you want, but now go to another side to break the balls, before to do accusation use the brain, but seems you have only the skull, without anything inside

Something that proves your words apart from the barking?

I have provided sufficient evidence for my theory.

Very similar project, same Github, sames pools, too much coincidence...
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sato new kawpow algo coin ready for you on: March 11, 2021, 12:10:33 PM
Yes I'm humanoid bot.
You are promoting Splendid with a link, mentions.....

Sorry but i never have been promoted wallet with a trojan.

I suspect that the same people who created Splendid, (and probably Scam some people)  are the ones who created Sato.

I may be wrong but I think the evidence confirms that I am right.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sato new kawpow algo coin ready for you on: March 11, 2021, 11:43:33 AM
As I see this is a SATO thread and not Splendid, so why are you doing promotion for Splendid?
I promote Splendid?

Are you a Bot?
