41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.4 (Windows/Linux) on: March 13, 2018, 04:05:59 PM
One difference I discovered between v11.3 and 11.4: one of my cards shows temp. 58 C an the fan at 86% in claymore 11.3... in claymore 11.4 same card at temp 58 the fan is at 96%. settings in claymore TT 60 and FANMAX 85

My experience with 11.4 and Stale Shares.
Arrow marks the spot where I upgraded from 11.3 to 11.4
The image is 11.3 to left of arrow and 11.4 to the right.

I would say this is a great success in reducing stale shares from 11.3 to 11.4
Also everything else is stable, running cool and hash rates are equal to or greater than all other Claymore versions.

I would say this is a complete success.

where do you get this graph?

Ethermine mining pool.

Yes. Ethermine mining pool.

OK. I am on Nanopool.

Before 11.2 my RX 580 Nitro+ SE (Micron) cards were absolutely stable at 2240 mhz, but 11.2+ causes reboot after 10 seconds of mining. New max frequency is 2080 Sad
Other cards (various 570 and 580) still working without issues.

Question is at what hashrate your cards were running.... My Nitro+ RX580 are running at 1175/850 core and 2200/875 mem and output per card is 31.5 mh/s. this is from claymore 11.4

I use 11.4 without any problems or errors hence I recommend 11.4

Benny, from where do you take your reading? From the pool or from the claymore/phoenix miner running on your rig?

After asking like 3-4 times, it seems no one on this forum, not even the Developer, knows how to Dual Mine ETH + SMARTCash ( keccak ) on Windows.
Whatever you do or try, Authentication failed, even if the username and password are 100% valid.
Really Really poor community !

If the developper or the community don't ask swiftly to your questions you accuse everyone of being a poor community? I'd say you are a poor guy!

Afternoon,

I am new to mining, but am pretty pleased with my current setup.  I have 2 RX580's 8GB and I watched lots of videos and read bitcointalk to learn about how to optimize my cards to get the most out of my rig.  (I am getting more cards ASAP, but you can only one every 48 hours.)

I am able to get ~62Mh/s total for the two cards.  When I dual mine, I am getting ~55Mh/s and ~1200Mh/s on SIA.

In my research, I keep seeing that it's not as profitable to mine SIA due to ASIC mining.  Being that I am happy with this rig, are people still dual mining and taking a small hit on their ETH or are they strictly mining their favorite coin?

Thanks in advance for any advice and help.  I truly do appreciate it.

I am running a rig with 13 RX580 8GB cards. Mining with Claymore on ETH only my rig produces 399 mh/s. Dualmining ETH and DCR produces 399 mh/s on ETH and 11966 mh/s on DCR. Hence if you experience a drop in output between ETH and dual mining I'd say there is something wrong in your setup.

v11.4:

- fixed issue with stale shares.
- fixed issue with incorrect shares.
- a few minor bug fixes and improvements.

This is highly recommended update.

Download links do not show 11.4 but only 11.3

You need to find the best settings for your own cards and memory type. My cards are a mix of Asus RX 580/480 with Samsung memory (first three with 2050 MHz memory overclock), Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580's with Samsung memory (2100 MHz memory overclock), Hynix memory (2200 MHz memory oveclock) and a MSI Gaming X RX 580 with Samsung memory (last card with a 2050 MHz memory overclock).

Code:
-cclock 1200,1150,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200
-mclock 2050,2050,2050,2200,2100,2100,2100,2220,2220,2220,2100,2220,2050
-powlim -10,-5,-10,-15,-10,-15,-10,-10,-5,-10,-10,-10,-10
-cvddc 950,950,950,850,900,850,850,900,900,900,850,900,900
-mvddc 950,950,950,850,900,850,850,900,900,900,850,900,900
Hello m8,
are these clocks and voltages for dual mining or solo ?
I have 6 of Sapphire rx 580 se with micron memory blue ones.
Nearly all of cards have up %75 asics quality. Whats the best values of clock mlock and dcc values for dual and solo eth mining ?
Im using -cvdcc 865,875,865,865,865,865 -cclock 1240,1240,1240,1240,1240,1240 -mclock 2250,2240,2245,2245,2250,2230 -mvdcc 875,875,880,875,880,880 and i don't use -powlim. Should i use powlim and these values is high or ok ? Hwinfo don't show errors. I also use -ethi 16. I want dual mining. Which values should i use both solo and dual mining ? I got 32.4 - 32.0 mh/s total is 193.4 mh/s. Hwinfo don't show errors but share is really so different. Sometimes calculated 350 mh/s sometimes 58 mh/s average on nanopool. Avarage values always under 190mh/s. I did 48 hours test ethermine and nano result same always 48 hours under 190 mh/s calculated.
Thanks for reply

I would say that largely depends on the BIOS... whether modified or not. I have a few of the same cards and got a modified BIOS from the guys over at anorak.tech and my settings in overdriventool are core 1175/850 and mem 2200/875 Hashrate per card 31.5 mh/s can't say powerdraw on the wall per cards but my rig with 13 cards incl. monitor draws 1750 watt from the wall.

The current AMD drivers in compute mode are optimized for Windows 10 v1709 FCU. Those are the fastest drivers to use with RX 570/580 cards. The only reason to use the blockchain drivers on Windows v1709 with RX 570/580's is some old miners like SGminer don't work with the latest drivers.
In my experience, in what mining is concerned, the Beta Blockchain drivers are identical to all new drivers. No speed difference whatsoever.
If someone has proof otherwise please come forward.

Beta blockchain drivers have a limit of upto 8 GPUs. New drivers don't... Speedwise maybe no difference so what is the harm of using newer drivers?

Installed new drivers and afterburner doesn't work. Went back to blockchain drivers.

That is why I use overdriventool instead of MSI afterburner... https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/overdriventool-tool-for-amd-gpus.416116/
But it doesn't have the graphical (mathematical) function of rpm setup which only AB has.

Then stay with AB and whatever you want. I can't because I have 13 cards in my rig which works only with new drivers and AB does not function with new drivers. I can only say Claymore 11.3 with latest drivers and overdriventool works fine with me and gives me 399 mh/s.

Win10/Defender problem here that has been driving me nuts and cant find any info

Has happened on all the versions of Claymore that I have run so its not a claymore problem

Every day at 12:30Pm claymore crashes and restarts, when this happens one of my cards(random card) does not come back with the overclocked settings from Afterburner.
Using latest version of Win10

I have Defender turned off along with auto updates under group policy and used regedit too. Under Security Center it also says its off, but every day under device Performance and Health it says last scan with the current date.

I even added AVAST a few days ago and that wont stop it from updating under device perf either
I also have periodic scanning turned off under virus and threat protection

anyone have any clues as to how to fix this?
Thanks

Maybe try again? https://www.windowscentral.com/how-permanently-disable-windows-defender-windows-10
Alternatively try excluding the claymore and afterburner folder from Defender/antivirus?
Alternatively try maybe overdriventool instead of afterburner?

You are right. Sorry, I have 18.3.1 installed. Yes the old Blockchain driver has the 8 card limit which the drivers from 18. onwards don't have.

effective hashrate has been greatly reduced with latest update. anyone else?

Yes, my RX580s are now 18Mh/s and my RX480s are now 14MH/s.  This is the same on 3 of my rigs.  I looking into how to revert the update or I'll blow these away and rebuild on a linux distro or Windows 7.

Updated: I went to settings and recovery and rolled back to the previous update.  I'm back to 33Mh/s and 30Mh/s.  Thanks Microsoft for your amazing fail.

Probably it's not the windows update but windows update updated you GPU driver. You can prevent this by running gpedit.msc administrative tools and windows update .... https://www.itechtics.com/disable-automatic-driver-updates-windows/

Looks like your GPUs are stalling/crashing which causes the watchdog to jump in. typically too much overclocking, undervolting or similar which causes your GPUs to crash.
Thank you, I'll check on native settings.
They have been working on these since June 2017 and now these problems have started.
it was not before.

Hi Saboor, nothing has changed? No drivers, No windows update, no claymore nor anything else? I that case maybe your GPUs were running to hot and now failing /crashing? That would be my only guessing if NOTHING else has changed....

Hi all, testing 11.3 for now it is great...3 1070 nvidia, 3 rx550 and 6 rx580 all fıne and +2 mh total..thx for the good job guys

What is your total hashrate? I am running a rig with 13 RX580 cards and output on nanopool with Claymore 11.3 is 398.5 mh/s.... Phoenix 2.7c miner output is 396-397 mh/s.

it is 308 mh...in 11.2 ver it was 306...my rig have 12 cards...
5 RX580
4 1070
1 1050 ti
2 RX550
when I try to to add 1 more RX550 cant adjust fan and OC with msiburner so I use 12 cards in my rig

I had same problem with MSI afterburner. Then I switched to overdriventool.... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2722646.msg27860694
