That's a huge fucking difference. it's a similar comparison on Gold & Silver In a year (period from today2017/today2018) the gold looses only 4%, but the silver looses 14% as long as BTC has more than 51% value in whole crypto capitalization, other crypto will be valued according to BTC as BTC=gold indeed , even sometime when erc-20 token pumped, eth itself stay stable, but when BTC move everything will follow... The price of ethereum decreased due to the large amount scam of ICO projects and investors lost interest with this demand for eth also decreased. |

Look at the volume of Ethereum before declaring it anything. On daily basis it in Billions of dollars and selling or dumping is going on. Seeing teh speed it should have reached to zero if it was really dead. There are buyers big ones who are picking up every single token and coins. This market is based on speculation continuously will be until becomes real useful for something. Question is who is buying all these dumped tokes and coins ?

Bitcoin has almost bottomed out at $5k, so it will rally soon. It might takes hours, days or weeks, no one knows, but it will rally. Not a good time to gather much funds but, they can still gather a quite good amount as their product idea is very well explained and if they can keep up to their words it can be huge. The market keep showing the down trend and this time the drop is so significant. This for sure a bad condition for the whole crypto world. Idk how dusk network will anticipate it. The worst is that those who buy bitcoin are above $10000 because all the assets they have will definitely experience a large price decline. Nobody knows when this fall will end, maybe the bottom right now. Good points in Ivan's video about proof-of-work being a dead end, just look at the Bitcoin Cash mining hash wars going on right now, and proof-of-stake not being confidential, pointing out the necessity of an alternative consensus algorithm for the future of crypto. That said there have been a lot of coins with made-up novelty consensus algorithms like proof-of-love, as well as permissioned, centralized ones such as proof-of-authority. It remains to be seen how effective DUSK's take on this will turn out in practice. To put all the chance on our side, we have decided to divide our ICO in two parts : a presale and a mainsale. We do want to launch our first products before the mainsale, to give more value to our ICO and to our token as soon as the ICO ends.
Also, the markets conditions does not allow us to get the traction we are looking at, so we will need more time, and probably spend more funds to raise the awareness of our project. We do know that our project is a good one, but it deserves more coverage. Dividing the ICO into two will give us more time to get to this point (we started our campaign and publish the website at the end of october). We have been advised for a while to postpone our ICO due to this, but we think it is better to divide the ICO into two parts, rather than postpone it.
This is the right decision, 2 rounds are the best way held ICO than postpone it to undetermined date, the market is unpredictable, and I think in the first round there will be bonuses for early investors? |

I was scammed already in similar way! I took part in Bitpaction bounty. They had working exchange at those moment and bounty. But they scammed bounty participants at first, in a month after this they stolen all money from traders and scammed their clients as well and run away with money. Now exchange not working anymore.
This (FinanceX) has a similar strategy.. they scammed now bounty participants, than they will scam traders like this made Bitpaction. Scammers once also will scam again and again.

since it's a standard ERC20 token, you can bet it will be listed on forkdelta and all decentralized exchanges.
Which probably means there will be another KYC for the swap to the DUSK blockchain, right? So the current Blockpass KYC is just valid for the ERC20 tokens bought through Ethfinex or straight from the DUSK team. there will be a further kyc before the token swap on dusk blockchain is not good news, however, is good news that at least in the initial phase when the tokens will be erc20 will can be changed on decentralized exchanges(dex)... I think you are right, forkdelta - it will be available I have no doubt, as for IDEX - they have minimum requirement, but if the team makes an effort, this listing will be easy to get. |

Looks like Dusk is getting more excepted since they announced some of their private investors. Great too see people believe in privacy and security on the internet in this age where everyone is vulnerable.
Crypto's main advantage is Privacy but these days because of the regulations and government bans, projects have started asking KYC etc. Its always good to have private investors as they can be trustable and we can openly keep an eye on funds. big investors can really carry a project but there should be a balance so that they don't control it. You are right, whales can manipulate the price of a token, I hope this will not happen and I think this project will bring profit in the long term. |

If they could make a much wider distribution of tokens, then sudden dumps from some token holders would be negligible and will not affect much on the token price. So I guess they must do everything in their capacity to do just that. Imho.
If a whale start a huge accumlutation on exchanges and the pump it and unload his bag to FOMOers it's not very different from the scenario you described, so I don't see a real solution Exactly.. it's just a whale play game for now.. there is not enough liquidity in the market and the tokens/coins are just to centralised with certain people. This will change in the near future though. I'm convinced of that. If project team will shows progress (it can be weekly reports on the work done), this can prevent a dump - whales will wait for the best news and project progress. |
