42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The first risk-free ICO with money back guarantee on: November 30, 2018, 01:19:13 PM
Dear community,

Has anybody seen the video by YouTube blogger Keith Wareing, where he is taking interview with Eric Van Loon, who is Co-Founder of Tachain project...?

Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTetuEiiSns

Guys are offering risk-free investment opportunity, in my opinion this is a great idea which might change the way people think about ICOs and participate in them.

I personally have lost a portion of my money by investing in ICOs last and this year, but this idea is just brilliant - you can wait for 1 year, see what happens to the project and then (before they go mainnet) decide what to do - either to stay with the project and get mainnet coins, or to exchange them back into the same amount of ETH/BTC invested.

I personally love the project itself, had been following it for some time, but have not invested yet. Now I am pretty sure I will invest something. If anybody is interested, please check their web-site and share your opinion: https://tachain.io/

What do you guys think? Let's share our opinions, really interesting.

Thank you!

Huh Without watching the video ICO is venture capital of a specific form. If there is any way to offer it risk free, which I highly doubt, then the potential upside should also be very limited. The statement risk-free ICO does not make any sense. Had to think about bitconnect for some reason.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth the work and waiting? on: November 30, 2018, 01:16:37 PM
So you have being wearing a signature for more that ten weeks. Each week you made more than 15 post on different thread on this forum. And just when you done with the campaign you have been asked to keep the signature for three more weeks while wait for stakes to be calculated. After stakes are calculated, it takes more than 3+ weeks for tokens to arrive in your wallet. and a month for the token to go on exchange. On exchange, all your token is worth for your hard work is just less than $50.
How do you feel?
How will you react?

I would say it is tough luck. It is disappointing but then people get lucky with good bounties like vezt or thekey. Did anyone do gonetwork? Last time I checked a colleague here was still waiting for his tokens.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Hunters being trapped on: November 30, 2018, 01:15:01 PM
I have observed that most bounty campaigns nowadays are not complying with their tagret end date. No problem with extend the campaign but man, these projects are now imposing hunters to not remove their signature until the end of the campaign. This prevents participants from leaving the campaign. Poor participants cannot break free from this and to look for other productive campaign. They have no choice but get stuck and post for these companies. Did you have the same experience? or Do you observe the same pattern? please enlighten me.

There is increaded risk that a bounty wont pay these days for example for not reaching their soft cap. On the upside if you find a good bounty there might not be that many people following through on it which will make your share bigger in the end. But yes there is disappointments like qompass who seemingly just left.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is Going to $50 based on what I Observed! on: November 30, 2018, 01:13:13 PM
Based on what I observed in the current market, Ethereum is the crypto in the market that is down 90% in his All-time High, based on my research this happened because of the ICO under Ethereum blockchain, all of this ICO dump their Ethereum to fund their project, and some of this ICO are Scam projects, let's say 90%, so what will happen to all the Eth they received from Investors? dump! after the dump this guys exit scam, my prediction is we can see a $50 Ethereum this year or maybe $20, but $20 is highly unlikely to happen.

A colleague who has relevant experience as a trader says it might dip as low as 60. But he is long term bullish. He says as soon as it dips to 60 or 70 he will be buying it at once....Actually 70 is not that long a way to go any more.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto market in pain on: November 25, 2018, 07:50:24 PM
As the market is in pain with all coins declining dramatically in prices, for instance bitcoin dropping to as low as $3,700. And at this point of time, I still believe in cryptocurrency which will remain forever with us making a big change in our lives. So I am planning to be more active in bounty campaigns and trading. What about you guys?

Nothing changed. A setback like that hurts if you did not Tether or hedge in some form but Bitcoin will be back. It always has been back sooner or later. Not even sure about that whole market manipulation theory any more. There was those kinds of setback before.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: buy NEO coins now? on: November 23, 2018, 03:33:29 PM
Hi all

I am here asking for your opinion about the Neo Coins whose prices are down now until now reaching 15 usd / coin. is this the right time to buy Neo Coin or I have to wait until the price drops back.

please share your opinion Smiley

for those of you who have shared your opinion, thank you

I have always been a big Neo fan. It is said that currently a lot of Neo developers are moving on to Ontology. So maybe also something to look at.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This Year Crypto Red Like a Blood on: November 23, 2018, 03:09:06 PM
after january 2018 crypto is going down and more down and in this month is the lower.
what do u think about in december going lower or can be up? and what do u think in 2019?
for now resistence is in $4-$4.4k if break price can be more lower.
in my opinion 2019 bitcoin can be back in $2-$3k if in december price going lower, many people believe in 2019 can recover but if people only hold and no more buy i think is hard to recover look in september-october the price is stable and now going down.

A colleague who has been trader today said Ethereum might go as low as 60 USD. On the upside he has moved initial fiat to an exchange, to build an initial position. He know his stuff. He likes Ethereum and just read the WP for basic attention token. I pointed him to LND HKN and COB to see what he has to say. I will look at the skycoin WP next.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guys, don't panic! Look at this! on: November 23, 2018, 03:05:32 PM
Guys, don't panic! Just look at this fall of the famous IT giants when they were in their infancy, as cryptocurrency is now!

Hahaha that is really reassuring. So we better get ready for a 99% decline? I hope we wont fall that deep.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: would XRP be the Standard in the future? on: November 23, 2018, 03:03:46 PM

Binance CEO Calls on Ripple and XRP Supporters to Convince Him that XRP Is the Standard

Binance CEO ZHAO Changpeng is responding to calls from Ripple and XRP supporters to add XRP to the leading cryptocurrency exchange as a base pair.

On Twitter, ZHAO noted the strength of the XRP community, and asked its brethren to send him their best pitches for why he should pair every coin on the exchange with the digital asset.

What do you think about XRP?

CZ is not a fool. The only reason he listed Ripple is the regularly high volume in trading. Ripple has good marketing and an impressive customer list. All banks of course  Roll Eyes. Does not change the fact that there is no proof of work, no decentralisation and no open access. Also a supply than can increase anytime. I would not touch it.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have I joined at the wrong time? on: November 23, 2018, 03:00:37 PM

I am newbie and some of my friends who are already into crypto market say I am late. This isn't the time to start investments and I must refrain and just research for later.

Do you think the same? Is it really not the time to invest as a beginner?

Early 2018 was a bad time to start investing. Right now perfect time to do your research on the projects that interest you and to build some initial positions. It might go lower but the worst should be over. If you are not sure just keep monitoring.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happen? on: November 23, 2018, 02:58:56 PM
What the F! is happening on the market cap? Its falls down and what is the reason? Any link of news If why this market cap falls down? In my opinion some one who hold big supply of BTC dumped. But anyone here can tell me what is the really reason?

Quite simple. Bitcoin getting manipulated for political reasons. Mighty enenmies like central banks and SEC. Besides the currency use other projects not generating enough revenue yet to get rid of that manipulation. They have successfully burnt many fist time blockchain investors this year and that was the mission from the start. Recovery could be only 2nd half of 2019.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BULL RUN! BULL RUN! BULL RUN! on: November 23, 2018, 02:20:06 PM
So it happens that every where in the crypto universe every single person is expecting a bull run Q4 of every year as if it's a norm now.

Well for me am happy the bull run isn't happening this year so that many can cool off and know this is not a yearly get rich quick business and people have to understand what investment are and invest wisely

I like the fact that the bull run shouldn't be on any specific date, day, or month and can happen randomly at any time to stop the impression of manipulation in crypto.

For me am happy crypto is responding to the market movement in connection with every other stock market.

What is your own thoughts?

Stock and property are poised to crash. Liquidity will be drying up. Based on that I feel the recovery for crypto might only happen in the middle of next year. I dont mind. More time for shopping.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do bounty hunters become ICO investors? on: November 23, 2018, 01:50:27 PM
Icos look for bounty hunters to promote their project through the power of social media.Sometimes, some of these hunters also double as ico investors. But it looks like bounty hunters understand ICOs project and are able to determine very good projects before they invest because of their experiences in different projects.

I feel the potential for the move from bounty hunter to ICO investor is there. As the whole ICO space is very difficult right now, tools like bounty campaigns that do not cause cost in fiat money have become even more important.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Organized crime in bounties... on: November 23, 2018, 01:48:31 PM
Scamming bounties has become a new source of income for organized groups of scammers. Groups with developers on their payroll are using software to create thousands of bots and dumping them in airdrop bounty to collect 100’s of thousands of dollars in bounty tokens. Airdrops may not seem like much, but when you have 20K fake accounts receiving 10-20 tokens, it’s a huge payoff.

In addition, these groups are paying copywriters a few hundred dollars to write 3-4 articles and then google translating them in many languages and posting under many fake accounts. Often using newbie BCT accounts to protect the higher ranking accounts they created to put in signatures campaigns.

This kind of scam has started to flourish because the bounty managers who manage the projects are too lazy or inexperienced to watch out for these scammers.

Bounty hunters get a bad reputation because of these scammers. Also projects can’t  get quality work because good bounty hunters don’t want to waste their time, since their hard work will be diluted by scammers.

So to protect yourself when doing a bounty:
1. Watch all activities and report scamming to bounty managers ASAP
2. Google your own articles to see if someone has posted it under their account.
3. Don’t waste your time with airdrops

To the admins
1. Check everyone who enters the bounty.
2. Updates stakes frequently so scammers know you are watching.
2. Don’t be lazy, put in the work...

I hope this was helpful...

Ok so what are you saying? You expect the regular bounty manager to be able to fight against organized crime? If they have enough fake profiles I do not see how it would be possible how to track that. For the duplicate texts hmm maybe with proper text analytics but that has to be cost effective as soon as it is done.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin dominance is it the END ? on: November 11, 2018, 07:39:11 PM
https://prnt.sc/j8ij29
as we can see the bitcoin dominance is getting lower and lower and  i think on long term ethereum will end the dominance

I am not sure where you see that as right now the BTC dominance is back to 52.4% and Ethereum has fallen back from a peak of 30% to 10%.
Clearly room for recovery of ETH but I do not see Ethereum or anyone else really challenging Bitcoin for the top spot.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been scammed? or almost? on: November 11, 2018, 07:36:27 PM
I almost got scammed on twitter by a fake account. Scammers are setting up fake accounts pretending to be other people/ICO's/Tokens. It's very tricky if you are not paying attention. Make sure you check spelling on all names to be correct. Be careful who you give your info to. Even if it's just your email address. Scammers will not stop scamming so watch out and pay close attention to what you are signing up for. Good Luck everyone and be safe!

Got scammed before. Well one was basically a wrong data entry on Etherdelta so noone to blame but me but it was costly. The other was a bounty called qompass. It seems they exit scammed. Then there was a thread here on the forum about a planned airdrop. That was moved on to discord where later it was turned into a fake sale of Masternodes for the new project. It is really amazing how much time and effort some people put to cheat for relatively small amounts of money.

But the fact is, there is plenty who do not have any problem to engage that way or even see it as a kind of sport. So be careful before you send any money or crypto and think twice.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to find the best Bounty Campaigns on: November 11, 2018, 07:31:18 PM
For a while I would participate in bounties from BitcoinTalk.org, but then I started using BountyPlatform.io.  I have yet to get paid one bounty from them, so I started looking back on the site here, but I'm not seeing many.  Did they move them to another category? TIA for any help.

Bitcointalk is a good place to check for bounties. Try to find a project you like and that has a bit of hype. Also important on that Topic to look into different kinds of topic. Translation bounties normally dont pay as well as signature bounties, but maybe you can do both and translating a whitepaper is a great way to learn about a project.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Xmas Bull Run!! on: November 11, 2018, 07:21:32 PM
11 months of decline.. who's ready for some positive headway  Cool

Daddy needs a new pair of shoes!!

The chartists say final dip, some expect black swan event related to exchanges, some argue with the mining cost per BTC for a bottom at 6K and some see potential trigger for next bull with ETF approvalsor BAKKT. I do not believe in a final BTC or market dip, as the total market cap low alreaedy. BAKKT expected around 15th December so maybe potential start of some upward movement around that time. Enough fiat sitting on the fence or parked in Tether.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How altcoins change your life? on: November 08, 2018, 09:30:40 PM
I came across to bitcoin discussion section and found out threads about how bitcoin change their life. It was known that bitcoin has literally change lives of others who were able to participate and join in any form that which they could profit bitcoins. However, I was curios also if it is possible that users here in the forum has change their life through altcoin.

Altcoins is a short cut term for alternative coins. This is base on my understanding as to what I have read and learn it from others. Due to the numbers of existing altcoins in the market I bet that there could be an altcoin who made one to change his life by earning huge profit.

Though altcoins have huge difference when it comes to the market cap of bitcoin, but still it could be profitable a certain individual who follow that altcoin. So, how does altcoin change your life?

A change for me is that I have started to look for passive income from ALTs. Here are some projects of interest for me:

Ontology
Matrix AI
Sharder
Sparkster
Hacken
CMT staking on cobinhood

Maybe do some research on those.
