Hello. No dividends. But, at some point you will be able to run a POP Node…which is essentially a BitTorrent client with an Ethereum wallet. This will allow you to use spare bandwidth and drive space to distribute content on the network and earn a fee in POP tokens. Let your robots work for you! |

Micropayments work using Ethereum State Channels. This allows users to lock value into a smart contract, then every time they watch a video the "state" of the channel gets updated rather than having to write back to the blockchain. This is super efficient for high-frequency payments. |

On YouTube, advertising-based earnings may typically be $1.00 per 1000 views. Now you must understand that doesn't mean "views of the video", it means "views of the ads in front of the video". With ad-blockers and since not all views have a commercial, realistically earnings are closer to $0.50 per 1000 or $0.0005 pre view. So, if our microtransaction system charges 1 POP and that's worth half a penny, then the content creator is making 10X YouTube earnings. Yes, it's pretty amazing! |
