Hi Garret.

are you passing through any divs? if so, from what address?

All divs are still being collected. They are either paid directly to the fund's public address or held in respective exchange accounts until it makes sense to withdraw without incurring a large number of fees. All withdraws from an exchange are deposited to the fund's public address.
All dividends are tracked and added to the public spreadsheet.

Public address and public spreadsheet can be found on the seconds post in this topic:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134389.msg1431361#msg1431361

any plans on what to do with the 26 BTC (~$17k) in the reserve fund?

Yes.

Buy new shares?

No.

Fat dividend to shareholders?

If you mean a final payout, then yes.

updated NAV?

No. I have stopped updating the NAV.

i'd appreciate speaking to you for a few minutes about the future of MiningCO.ETF

There is no future for MiningCo.ETF. The fund is shutting down (hence the "closing" title of this thread).

The plan is to liquidate assets at a reasonable price and make a final distribution.

I've heard about the PI and a potential lawsuit. But I don't get a good feeling about either.

Should we discard them as worthless? Try to sell the lot of our shares for anything to a hopeful buyer?

Keep discussing.

We need to make a decision about basic-mining.

It looks like creativex has pulled a BAKEWELL on us. There has been no word from him or about him in months.

Are we going to write these off as worthless? Please discuss your thoughts.

Thanks for the updates.

Keep 'em coming when the price is right.

In the Dividends emails, please add a space between the amount and the currency.

Original
You have received a dividend payment from fund: ABC
Your Units: 100
Dividend: 0.11111111BTC/unit
Total Dividend: 11.11111100BTC

Your new account balance is 11.11111100BTC

Change to this:

You have received a dividend payment from fund: ABC
Your Units: 100
Dividend: 0.11111111 BTC/unit
Total Dividend: 11.11111100 BTC

Your new account balance is 11.11111100 BTC
A space right here makes it easier     ^

Having spaces makes it easier to read and to copy-paste.

As quoted we will reopen in around 24 hours and let people withdraw all their coins and currencies in manual mode (so we can check each withdrawal and delete some abuse users we didnt noticed yet).
Will this withdrawals be obligatory or my coins can stay on exchange?

I'm going to guess and say this:

Neotrix is allowing anyone who would like to get their coins out, a chance to do so. This is to lessen the already bad situation; to show that they are working on the problem and have the customer's money on hand to facilitate withdrawals.
However, if you feel safe keeping your coins on the exchange, I'm sure it won't be a problem for neotrix and his crew for you to leave them there.

Again, I don't speak for neotrix. What I just said is my guess after looking at the situation.

Letting you know that I am still alive.

If you see any market movement/good price to sell, send a PM.

I am considering moving our Direct ASICMINER share to AM1. I think it would help make selling easier.

Sorry for the off-topic post:
What software are you using to mark up your screen shots? I need it!

There really needs to be a better vetting process.  Instead of hiring Private Investigators after the fact, someone should have spent the money flying out to meet him first hand and getting a copy of his ID and running a background check on him.  But nobody is going to do that, because it would cost X% of their potential BTC value.

This doesn't matter either. Take a look at the BAKEWELL case.

Ian Bakewell posted his photos, photo ID, home address, etc and he still scammed. It was only through the vigilance of dedicated asset holders that they were able to recoup any value at all.

With our next-gen miners a month or so away, I'm beginning to think about what to do with our current miners. I'm open to ideas. Some things I've considered are having fans host them either for a certain period of time on a mine to own basis or splitting a % of the mined coins. We could also just sell them outright or have a lottery fundraiser of some kind. Any thoughts on the subject are welcome.

Although passing to fans is a interesting idea, I would ultimately vote to sell them. Either directly sell, auction them, or have a lottery.

So should we be getting December's dividends in Jan? Or was the payment on Dec 22 for Nov/Dec up to that point?

From what I can tell, the Dec 22 div was for the month of Nov.
Divs for the month of Dec have not been paid yet.

Along with accrued GMP dividends on cryptostocks I have transferred a total of BTC 5.26331 to the public address.

Why not purchase scrypt hardware along side of BTC???  My 360GH of ASIC is getting close to useless... mean while my 75MH of GPU is killing it.

Did you mean 75 KH/s, cause I'd be interested in hearing more about your setup if it wasn't a typo!

I'm sure Blazedout419 meant 75MH/s is killing it. And of course it would! That's 70+ AMD 280x GPUs.

polls are non-binding, just consulations

The previous pool was to get member opinion.
This poll is binding and to actually change the donations for fundraising.

ASICMINER looks like will be dropping since Q1 2014, then batch of new hardware will be dispatched and start mining, so in that time price may rise. It's not good idea to sell now (price is about 0.25 and goes lower, but in the spring may be above 0.5).

It looks like the best thing to do is wait for now. I still welcome any other suggestions about ASICMINER or any of our underlying assets.

It looks like Nasty Fans is going to be at .05 BTC.  I say this because OgNasty has now offered "minted seats."

A "minted seat" is a silver coin with the info to obtain a Nasty Seat and it's dividends hidden under a hologram sticker; much in the same way a physical Bitcoin has the info to obtain the Bitcoin under a hologram sticker.

OgNasty sells these by either taking an existing seat you own plus a fee and sending you the coin
OR
Selling you a seat and sending you the coin.

The difference between using your own seat and buying a new seat and having both minted is 0.5 BTC.

For kicks and giggles, I'm placing a sell order for 0.0505

GMP is making some nice dividends, but I'm still going to put about 40% of our shares for 0.299999 BTC.

Cognitive is "in the middle of receiving new gear." It would probably be good to hold off selling until it is delivered. Their Cointerra order is expected in mid Jan.

Still waiting for any other PMs from you guys on when to sell other underlying assets like ASICMINER.
