41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you seen this one? on: February 01, 2016, 12:05:18 PM
I loved how it uses a simple language, accessive to the ordinary citizen who dosen`t want to go much into details of cryptos. They just want to learn how to use it and what for.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: February 01, 2016, 12:03:53 PM
One good think I would do if I had the money is to sell useless stuff and buy all in bitcoin, since, with both the hardfork and the halving, price is expected to increase.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your dream for bitcoin? What will it become? on: February 01, 2016, 12:02:44 PM
my hope btc become our livelihood, global currencies
accepted in all things like buying or sell a things. and we can earn a btc by doing some work also..

Oh, we have the same dream for bitcoin... I am hoping that oneday, I will be paid in bitcoin, and I could buy and sell everyday in normal life paying and receiving  bitcoin as normal currency...  Smiley

If the day comes when we can buy basic stuffs using bitcoins, then we would say that bitcoin has hit the mainstream and it has become a global currency, we want that bitcoin should be used as a normal currency like fiat.

Either that or it will be forgotten forever and remembered by geeks are a sweet time they could dream about financial revolution  Roll Eyes
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COIN WARS: And the battle begins... on: February 01, 2016, 12:01:44 PM

.... you will move your coins out of Bitcoin before the Activation, and ito altcoins.[/b]  I've already moved mine into Fedcoin (Ethereum).  I'm currently 70% Ether / 30% Bitcoin.  If Core/Blockstream doesn't quit the BS.... I'll go to 90%/10%.   BUT after the dust settles, you'll see huge inflows back into Bitcoin.

Sorry for the multiple questions... do you foresee the price of ether/ethereum will increase due to the hard fork?
Well..... you can see money moving out now.  Its because people are seeing that Blockstream/Core supporters are making it clear they plan to go to war.   But this war will happen.

1st Stage of the war is that the Classic Code becomes available.  It will be quickly adapted and will "trigger" the 2nd stage.  It is at this point that I see Bitcoin going up due to the euphoria that at least something is getting done, and hope that bitcoin will soon be rid of Core/Blockstream,a nd development can continue on normal course.

2nd Stage is the "Activation".  That is when the actual Fork occurs.  If it looks like that will get messy, then investment traders will flee like the plague.  Rumours and bad news will spread, and fear and shorts will drive price into the ground.

3rd Stage is Classic Fork emerges victorious after slaughtering Core.  Investment returns, happiness reigns.  The REAL war with Ethereum starts.

I really don't understand where you are coming from here..  I know that Ethereum has been garnering a lot of attention from the altcoin community, as it was recently pumped because of Microsoft speculations; but I really don't see how it is going to "revolutionize" the bitcoin dynamic because it is a mere form of a type of data storage, rather than a coin (I think).  Plus, I just went on poloniex to check the current price of Ethereum out of curiosity after reading your OP, and it's like down 12% or so... so I don't see what you mean by people hedging a lot of their Bitcoins into Eth.

Edit: The more I think about it, this is just a typical FUD post by a huge Eth supporter.  Maybe you should post this in the altcoin section.

It`s certainly a FUD as we have seen many for a while now. This war theory does not make much sense.

Also, do you accept escrow?

47  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: where can i get bitcrane asic mining chip on: January 29, 2016, 01:53:19 PM
hi does anyone know where i can get a bitcrane asic minining chip or any other 28nm to buy in bulk

Bitcrane dont seem to reply,  Huh

Thank you any help is greatly appreciated

james Hall

It is going to be hard to get asic chips unless your talking very very large amount in bulk.  You might find some like poster above with a little.  But as far as companies the ones currently producing chips normally sell full miners.   To get a order of chips it normally takes a large amount of money.

I'm not sure you will find bitcrane in real bulk either, I doubt they are still producing and chances are stopped long ago.

If they're not producing it anymore chances are it's not a good chip to buy! try something newer, it will be probably much more energy efficient Wink

50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe are these "so called" Bitcoin Banks? on: January 29, 2016, 01:37:41 PM
Why would bitcoin community support anything remotely resembling a bank?? Why give away what bitcoin has of most value, that is the independence for intermediators of financial transactions??

52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to invest in? on: January 29, 2016, 01:30:44 PM
I'm buying ETH since many people and - most importantly - COMPANIES are starting to realize the whole potential of this tool and price tends to go WAY higher than actual prices!
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Dollar on: January 29, 2016, 01:26:32 PM
Well, fact is nowadays dollar is a universal currency which is widely used and accepted.

People would get carried away with dollars and won't bother about bitcoins as they don't know what bitcoin is all about, so if you are considering the future then dollar is the currency which will survive as we are not sure where bitcoins would be in next 15 or 20 years.
54  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2016 crash has begun! on: January 29, 2016, 01:14:29 PM
This thread is just wrong. So wrong. Bitcoin price has an upward trend now, and this trend will accelerate as it get's closer to the halving. Everybody is talking about buying, not selling!

55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a manipulated coin? on: January 29, 2016, 01:12:21 PM
Vote guys  Cool

It's manipulated, yes. But how deep do the strings of control and manipulation stretch? Do they reach all the way into Bitcoin's core?

Let's see how well this new BIP102 is received and we'll have our answer!

~~

If the manipulation reached the core, we would see much more deeper pump&dump movements. It's possible to manipulate it, sure. But this manipulation, because the market size is already bit, is not that powerful.
56  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your least favorite thing about Bitcoin? on: January 29, 2016, 01:10:42 PM
Nowadays I think transaction times are really bothering. The fact is not fully anonymous is also an issue for me, since it breaks some of bitcoins very reasons to exist in the first place.

58  Economy / Gambling / Re: Moneypot just took a huge loss? on: January 29, 2016, 01:06:53 PM
Well, anybody who bets all maniac like that on games with a house edge is bound to throw it all back sooner or later...variance is a sour apple at times.  It's easy come and easy go in the minds of those who have the bug.  But, wow...it looked like investors were just cruising for awhile there...now a third of their investment gone! Ouch!

Yep, anybody who bets huge amounts at 98% or whatever will win lots but all it takes is one unlucky go & BOOM, all gone.

The house always wins in the end, it's basic math.

Eventually the house will always win. We all know that. The fact is that the house may be rigged, and then it might end up being profitable, after all...
59  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: O Bitcoin é Ambientalmente Insustentável on: January 29, 2016, 01:03:48 PM
