Thanks. Can you do the same at ahashpool and miningpoolhub please?
How is it even possible to measure, unless you have two identical cards at identical speeds? running at the same time?

...
The two rigs I have set up for doing these kinds of tests consist of a single GTX 1080 that I have tuned to deliver the same  Sols/s (+/0 0.5) in Equihash.

Yes, NiceHash and NemosMiner/Zpool are running concurrently on separate rigs that have been matched very closely on one particular algo (Equihash). I didn't check every algo exhaustively, but I can tell you that Neoscrypt runs at the same speed on both cards as well.

My experience so far with Zpool has been excellent, though I admit I'm only on day 3 of testing.

The first 24 hours I mined Lyra2v2, auto-converting to VTC, and got exactly the amount of VTC my hashrate and average difficulty predicted; yes, I understand that as an auto-convert pool there will be much more variation in payout, but it's nice to see reality match theory anyway.

The next 24 hours I mined Lyra2v2, auto-converting to XVG, and received 51 vs. 53 expected - close enough for me given the above.

Now I am running NemosMiner to test Zpool in multi-algo, auto-convert to BTC mode and will be comparing it to a similar rig running NiceHash for at least 3 days. Even if Zpool doesn't win this competition I will still use it in single algo mode because it has performed far better than similar tests done at HashRefinery, MiningPoolHub, and Zergpool.

A quick update after the first 24 hours of running - NiceHash is currently ahead with 0.33331 mBTC earned vs. 0.29274 mBTC immature + earned at Zpool.

The two rigs I have set up for doing these kinds of tests consist of a single GTX 1080 that I have tuned to deliver the same  Sols/s (+/0 0.5) in Equihash. The algos I have selected in NemosMiner for Zpool are:

poly,hsr,keccak,xevan,skunk,tribus,phi,skein,equihash,groestl,sib,bitcore,x17,blakecoin,Nist5,MyriadGroestl,Lyra2RE2,neoscrypt,blake2s,lyra2z

Other settings in the NemosMiner bat file are to check profitability every 60 seconds (-interval 60) and switch algos at 5% difference in profitability (-ActiveMinerGainPct 5).

For NiceHash I have all of the single algos selected except for a few that I know have been ASIC'ed: keccak, nist5, neoscrypt, Lyra2rev2, DaggerHashimoto, Cryptonight, Equihash, Pascal, Blake2s. Oops, looks like I left Pascal enabled, even though it has been ASIC'ed... Oh well, can't change it now without invalidating the test.

One other update - I got credited for 1.5 more XVG in my earlier test so that brought the total up to 52.5 actual vs. 53 predicted; again, not the most scientific of tests, since one is mining multiple coins with a single algo, then converting everything mined to one of those coins, but you really can't complain if you get exactly the amount of coin your hashrate and average difficulty predict.*

* - I am well aware that this is not a terribly accurate means of evaluating the performance of a pool or miner, but there simply isn't any other way to do it when switching coins, much less switching algos.

Is it just me? or is SHA256 doing amazingly well right now? Awesomeminer is showing $152/day on an Antminer S9
Not that I'm complaining, just want to make sure its not some API bug

Regarding those neoscrypt speed improvements...I'm seeing almost 2x. Is that real? says Titan XP is now doing 2.14MH?!
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Octominer B8PLUS 8 PCIe Slot Mining Board (Motherboard, integrated CPU) on: February 11, 2018, 10:30:02 PM
Can you explaion the "Sure you're not going to run 1080ti's" statement? why not? I have 1080tis in all my rigs right now, and was planning to put 8 in this one. OEMs regularly stack blower cards right next to each other and they work fine..thats what I was planning here?

This board going to have massive problems with hot cards! Dont forget, the hoter your gpu is the slower it works. So single Sapphiere RX 580 Nitro+ can do 32.5 Mhs with ETH at 70°C it becomes more memory errors and need to be restart or it hangs in windows same problem will be with linux. What happens if one of the this china capacitors are dead? You need to send it back and your miner stops making moneys... =( Sorry Octominer but its fail!

I prefer this mainboards http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=886 and simple 008C Risers which I can change if they are dead it also cost less even with CPU and have 2-3 Years warranty.

That's nice you like those boards and risers. Calling the Octominer product a fail is a bit harsh, sure they might not work for your needs but each approach has pros and cons.

I have two riserless rigs (not Octominers but basically the same form factor). I'd recommend nvidia cards with them as they run cooler. Sure you're not going to run 1080ti's (ok hybrids would be awesome but that's going to cost a shitload) but cooling 1060s is no problem with 4 fans extracting heat and 1070s are OK with intake fans and smart heat management around the rigs. I don't miss risers at all on them.

If you are building a bunch of rigs riserless are less hassle too – plug in the cards, ram + ssd, connect fans and you're away.

Thanks Patrike,
Also, any chance of getting Garanatgas working again? Also wanted to know if anyone knew of a block explorer api for Siacoin that would work within Awesomeminer to show balances

Hi Patrike
please add in your system this wonderful multipool service: d3pool.eu
Its realy good pool with low fees.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will try to find a good solution for supporting yiimp-based pools like this one in general, so any of these pools can be supported.

Still drives me nuts that TitanXP won't work, as there is absolutely no logical reason for it...its just an uncrippled 1080ti. Is there some kind of weird hard coding? every other miner works...but this one.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: February 02, 2018, 03:30:34 AM
Any idea how I can add sia to the balances section? tried various block explorers but can't get it to show up..
did you update the AM?
Yes, running the latest 4.4 version. I can see where I can add sia under options/balances..if there was a sia block explorer with a compatible API. I can't seem to find one anywhere....

When GTX Titan Xp support will be added?

Its really strange, I've never seen ANYTHING that worked for 1080ti that didn't for Titan XP, until now. Makes no sense, its almost the same card, just fully enabled.

No, I've been mining on and off since 2012. I still use ribbon cables on one of my rigs and they work great, fyi.
The 1080TI loves more power, and the gain in hashrate on core intensive algorithms from running with full OC at 120% far outweighs the additional power cost, unless you're paying over $0.30/kwh. Undervolting *is* used by the eth mining community, and those mining memory intensive algorithms, but that's quite frankly a complete waste on a 1080ti...its a core beast.

Not sure if y’all are new to mining but undervolting is not considered crippling the card in mining when you have power usuage to consider. Also, are you sure 300 watts on each 1080ti is accurate, nor, ally it’s like, 180 to 200 watts.
Finally, I’ve never seen a build where a card with 2 connectors on top weren’t run off a single pcie using a splitter from pcie to two 6+2 plug, that’s how all 46 of my 1070ti are wired, of course I’m not running at 300watts a card.

In the reddit post about octomimer mobo, they guy from company posted a link to the 1080ti models they were testing 8 of and he was supposed to temperature results. I know he said since the board uses mobile cpu and ram, it only draw like 40 watts so almost all your 2200 watts is available for cards. Hope that helps
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Octominer B8PLUS 8 PCIe Slot Mining Board (Motherboard, integrated CPU) on: February 01, 2018, 01:16:55 AM
Unless you cripple the 1080TI by powerlimiting, there is no way 2200w will handle 8 cards.
My 1080tis are pulling ~300w each while mining with a decent overclock. Even on default settings they'll still spike well over 200...

So, I put in an order for the mobo, the box, and the server style PSU.  I noticed that it's 2200 watts (240v), but only 10 6-pins.

I have plans for this to power 8 1080tis (once I find them).  All 1080tis together is just 1600 watts on neoscrypt, well below the 2200 watt maximum, but it only comes with 8 usable 6 pins, since the board itself needs 2 to power on.

Anyone know what I should do in this situation?

I found a 6 pin to two 6+2 pins adaptor/splitter that should work, but that seems awfully dangerous.

Anyone have any idea how best to use the server PSU with a host of 1080tis?
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: January 29, 2018, 05:33:39 PM
FYI, just a PSA.
NIST5 algorithm is broken on the 32 bit Alexis78Cuda9 build included in Nemosminer 2.4.1
0% incoming hashrate. Next best miner is ccminer-polytimos, but significantly slower.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Octominer B8PLUS 8 PCIe Slot Mining Board (Motherboard, integrated CPU) on: January 28, 2018, 10:19:32 PM
Thanks, can you confirm the case will come with rails (for rack mount) and a cover?

I'm certainly interested (and sick of low quality risers), but it all is about the 4U case for me.

Once I get picture of the case and how the 2200 watt PSU fits, I will probably place an order today.

Thanks!

Great. We will have the pictures up soon!

What is the maximum length GPU card that will fit? Is this suitable to 1080ti?

Did anyone get TitanXP working with HSRMiner yet? appears to still be broken....
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Testing Nvidia P104-100 4Gb. PALIT. Memory - Micron. on: January 27, 2018, 05:02:08 PM
Thank you for sharing.

Cost of cards became an issue.

I got quote of $500usd per card.
Plus shipping and duties taxes.
Cant expect each to be less than $600.

I pass it. Radeons give 10mh less but cost half.

So 7 RX = at least 200mh for 2100
5 of p104 = max same 200mh for 3000.

And rx are resellable and under warranty.

Yes, but ETH is far less profitable than just about anything else to mine these days!

Octominer, are there any photos of the chassis? How many power supplies does it support? Is it rack mountable? (Includes rails?)
Thanks!
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: January 27, 2018, 03:46:58 AM
Why not just do a standard 2% fee based miner? That way you get paid?

Hi!

About the PHI algo I read on this pool that the most used is the SPMOD1. Is it the paid one? Or the free one?

No free lux mod by me. My work has been stolen and spread as usual... So I need to make lux sp-mod #2 with a small fee and improved performance. This is difficult because lux sp-mod #1 is pretty fast already.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] Bitmain Announces Antminer A3 on: January 26, 2018, 11:13:24 PM
Some local guy is trying to sell one for $8500. Will these be hard to get? I know they are sold out now.

There is no way it’s worth even half that price. Income has dropped by half in the past few days and will likely go south of $100/day by next week.

If you stop thinking about it in dollars and start thinking about it in a crypto currency that could explode, then you may want to reconsider where you stand on this.
