Can I run 2 A3's on a 10-30R 30A 125/250V outlet ?. We use this for dryers, but thought of using this to mine as this is the only 220v that I can find in my home ? However I understand this is old setup, will it work fine with continuous load. Thanks.

I'm running 2 A3 and a L3+ on a 30A 240V circuit. Consumption is around 13A for all 3 devices. I could still do another 2 A3 and another L3+.

Awesome, Then I will go get an adapter Smiley. I also have a S9 and L3+, I will hook that up as well into this outlet. Thanks.

a 30A 240v circuit should be derated to 26A continuous load to be safe, so you have a total power draw of ~6.2kw on that circuit...thats good for like 4 A3's or 6 L3+

Thanks for the info. I'm planning to run 2 A3s, 1 S9 and 1 L3+ in that outlet. Should be good i guess. but first I have to order an adapter. Will this work with 10-30R 30A 125/250V  ?

Thanks a lot for your answers, it's helping.
Well now I have another issue, it seems the tab "miner status" doesnt show anything anymore when i click on it...
https://framapic.org/YuR729YQcbpc/rheIg0GxNH6m.png
Is it just the pool isnt configured well or something else? I m a bit worried i harmed the miner by putting the frequency to 750.
Thanks

Go back to your system page and see what it says under hardware version?

Probably just your miner configuration settings are wrong?

Hi,
I  have 2 A3 and I have this issue with both : in system/overview/hardware version it says  "Socket connect failed: Connection refused"
Do you have any idea what i can do?
I tried to set nat/pat config in my router to let port 3333 and 20550 go throug but it doesnt change anything.
I tried to reset the miner, then it works for some time and get back to "   Socket connect failed: Connection refused"
Any idea?
Thanks a lot!

Some local guy is trying to sell one for $8500. Will these be hard to get? I know they are sold out now.

There is no way it’s worth even half that price. Income has dropped by half in the past few days and will likely go south of $100/day by next week.

Post your miner configuration here .  Its wrong (most probably) -- Where are you trying to connect to?

Fix the configuration, and it will be fine.

It’s called FOMO. Same reason idiots are bidding up 1080tis to $1200+. Just be patient. Watch the Bitmain twitter feed, and buy them when they go on sale. I’ve gotten 4 miners that way, I refuse to pay insane eBay prices.

Right, I think i fixed it, i had forgot to put stratum+tcp:// before the miningpool address..

If you stop thinking about it in dollars and start thinking about it in a crypto currency that could explode, then you may want to reconsider where you stand on this.

Not only that, but consider that the L3+ still sells for around $3K while only generating around $10 a day in profit, while the A3 is still north of $150 a day in profit.

Of course i'm not biting at that price, ill just wait for the next Bitmain batch. Bitmain prices are actually fairly reasonable most of the time.

And to add to my A3 adventure i ended up under clocking it to 575mhz, still pushing over 800GH/s but my temps are much more reasonable and the HW errors have nearly vanished. Was getting about 10SC/day at 600mhz/850GHS with about 3600HW errors per day. Now im getting 11.5SC/day at 575mhz/810GHS with about 4 HW errors per day. Chip temps went from 80C to 60C

Profits are visibly decreasing by a good percentage every hour now. I wonder when it'll taper off....

Anybody see these logging entries in their A3?

Code:

You mean profit for now, this moment. We dont know what price this coin is gonna have in one week or month.  All you have to do is mine and keep all the coins. Even if it goes up only 100% in the near future our todays profit will double!

No Sorry mouse, are you seeing any other issues with the miner, loss of hash rates etc??   Or just noticing these and getting concerned?

I see other things, but it looks like it is operational.

I have had two occasions of hash rate suddenly completely dropping off to nearly zero. First time I was at my PC and just restarted the miner. Today I was at work when I noticed it drop in the siamining GUI but it recovered by itself. Went to check the kernel logs because I was curious as to the reason.

Just based on the global hash rate, it looks like most of these boxes are online now. I would say the tapering is starting. My guess is somewhere in the $50 - $100 / day category until the next batch.

Could you tell me please which pool are you mining at? My current pool doesnt have any GUI interface, it is just my address so in fact I can't check online the status of mining. This is very useful when you are away. I cant find any GUI friendly sia mining pool so I would appreciate if you could give me a hint?  OK doesnt matter anymore . I found a GUI , it is hidden but very detailed.
