2008? wasn't that the invasion of Georgia?
Ukraine was invaded 2014 if I recall correctly.

Edit: yepp https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russo-Georgian_War

You're right!  The strange thing is, I knew that the Georgia (not Ukraine) invasion happened very shortly after the 2008 NATO conference in Bucharest where Georgia and Ukraine sought membership but that flag in the post confused me.  I did a bit of research and it turns out that imageshack.com might be replacing dead links with images of the Ukrainian flag with the text "No War" on them.

Georgia invaded South Ossetia and Abhazia killing many Russian peacekeepers. Only after that Russia intervened to kick them back.

Please forget the Kiev convoy it's history as you said. The Russians have changed the strategy completely.

Russians surrounded Kiev and told Ukrainian military to get rid of pro-American junta and puppet president Zelensky, denazify, demilitarize, and announce neutral status. This was the only way for Ukraine to stay as a sovereign country within its current territory. Ukrainian military failed to do that. Many senior commanders were killed by the death squadrons of the junta. Russian army switched to plan B. So, what we see now is dismantling of the Ukrainian state. Some territories will go to the RF other to Poland, Hungary, and Romania.

I don't think Ukraine is going to win. Its last promised counter-offence in August so far hasn't materialised.

The war in Ukraine is not between Ukraine and Russia. It is between America and Russia. The so called Ukrainian army are just mercenaries paid by US and UK. The pro-American military junta in Kiev can never win.

I will agree with you when there are Ukrainian (or American) troops inside (internationally recognized) Russian territory. Until then this is Russia invading Ukraine.

There is no international law left unbroken by the US after Soviet Union collapsed 30 years ago. There is no international laws anymore! Ukraine was invaded by the US in 2014. Russia has the right to defend itself.

If you want to give to charity consider archive.org . It preserves history making it harder to rewrite history as one desires.

archive.org has been caught removing archives recently so you may want to pick another.
This is a nice idea to archive the archive!

Don’t believe Vladimir Putin’s hype. The Russian economy is not OK.

When facts speak, the gods remain silent. And the facts are quite indicative. The Blitzkrieg against the Russian economy has failed miserably.

Taiwan welcomes Nancy Pelosi.
Security is on high alert over there, the United States seem to continue to provoke crisis, everyone is waiting to see how the China will respond. A crisis will have an effect on the price on bitcoin and the world's economy.

Seem to be going up now. Maybe Pelosi should stay in Taiwan, permanently.

After destroying Ukraine through Russia.

USA now giving China a chance to do same in Taiwan.

It is not the dementia president who rules the empire of chaos. The desperate establishment is trying to cover up the financial and economic catastrophe caused by decades of money printing. Russia has effectively frozen the conflict in Ukraine. This is why US warmongers need another conflict zone. They don't have time. They need war now!

Hungary warns of shift in world order

The West’s reliance on military aid to Ukraine and sanctions on Russia has failed, Hungary’s PM has said

The Russia-Ukraine conflict could end the West’s dominance and shift the balance of power in the world, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said. Russia launched a military campaign against the neighboring country in late February.

Orban argued that the decision to impose sanctions on Moscow and supply Kiev with heavy weapons de facto turned the EU and NATO member states into participants in the conflict, but ultimately yielded no results.

“Instead, today we are sitting inside a car with flat tires on all four wheels,” Orban said in a speech in the Romanian city of Baile Tusnad on Saturday.

“The world is not only not with us, but it is demonstratively not with us,” the PM added, arguing that, instead of thinking about gaining the upper hand on the battlefield in Ukraine, the West should now focus on achieving peace through negotiations.

Orban also warned that the conflict could easily put an end to Western supremacy and “create a multipolar world order.”

“We must try to persuade the West to develop a new strategy,” the PM said. He later added that the conflict “will end when the Americans and the Russians come to an agreement.”

The solution is simple, withdraw your troops from Ukraine soil to pre 2014 borders, stop all hostilities, pay reparations, and all will soon be back to normal.

There is even simpler solution. Nuke the warmongers in the West and let them rot in Hell!

Putin predicts ‘revolutionary’ changes

Only “truly sovereign” states will succeed after “enormous” geopolitical transformations, the Russian leader claimed

I live in Russia. Most of Russian people were robbed in February/March of 2022. Those Russians who had western stocks / shares bought in Moscow and St. Petersburg stock exchanges lost everything. Those who had crypto were able to save their holdings, but crypto lost 2/3 in price since that time and it is not the end yet. I'm afraid crypto will go lower after Powell's speech at the end of this month and soon we also will have problems with stablecoins.

Let me see if I get it right?

- You're a Russian
- You listen to Fed's Powell investment advice
- You invest your hard earned rubles in Western corporations and banks
- Western corporations and banks pay taxes to fund Western governments
- Western governments pay to their military industrial complex to manufacture weapons
- Western warmongers send those weapons io Ukraine with the sole purpose of killing Russian solders that are fighting there to liberate Ukrainian people from US and UK occupation that took place in 2014.

And you say you're robbed despite that you've been warned years ago even at the highest level (Including from President Putin) to withdraw all your money from Western Banks because West is preparing to go at war with Russia after US invasion in Ukraine in 2014.

Let me tell you! Most Russian people do not care about stocks neither Russian nor Western!

Chinese chipmaker overcomes US sanctions – Bloomberg

SMIC’s breakthrough puts the company’s semiconductors in the same league as Samsung and Taiwan’s TSMC

Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp (SMIC), China’s top chip manufacturer, has quietly produced chips to the highest Western standards, despite US sanctions specifically aimed at hampering its development of such technology, according to a report confirmed by Bloomberg on Thursday.

The Shanghai-based firm has produced Bitcoin-mining semiconductors using 7-nanometer (nm) technology since last July, according to Tech Insights, an industry blog. Bloomberg confirmed the report, citing an anonymous source unable to discuss the news publicly.

Putin predicts ‘revolutionary’ changes

Only “truly sovereign” states will succeed after “enormous” geopolitical transformations, the Russian leader claimed

A new epoch of world history is approaching and only “truly sovereign” states will be able to succeed in the changed environment, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday.

Speaking at a business forum, Putin claimed that “truly revolutionary,” “enormous” changes would lead to the creation of a new, “harmonious, fairer and more community-focused and safe” world order. In this new epoch, “only truly sovereign states can ensure high growth dynamics,” he said.

By the term ‘sovereignty’ the Russian president means “freedom of national development, and thus of each person individually,” as well as “technological, cultural, intellectual, educational viability of the state” and a “responsible, active and nationally minded, nationally oriented civil society.”

Such a state, the president said, will serve as an example for others when it comes to “the standards and quality of people’s life, the protection of traditional values and high humanistic ideals.”

This kind of world is in sharp contrast to the Western-dominated unipolar world order, which, in Putin’s opinion, is “becoming a brake on the development of our civilization.”

He accused the West of being “racist and neo-colonial,” saying that its ideology “is becoming increasingly more like totalitarianism.”

The president argued that despite attempts by Western elites to preserve the existing world order, the changes are “irreversible.”

Putin has been discussing the end of the “unipolar” world for a long time. In his famous 2007 Munich Security Conference speech, the Russian president said that “the unipolar world that had been proposed after the Cold War did not take place.” He explained that a world of “one master, one sovereign” is destructive not only for everyone within the system but also for the sovereign itself. He accused the US of neglecting the “basic principles of international law” and stressed that “unilateral and frequently illegitimate actions” had never solved any problems.

In May, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed hope that his country’s military offensive in Ukraine, when completed, would force the Western nations “to stop promoting the so-called unipolar world under the dominance of the United States and its allies.”

The idea of a new “multipolar” world has been discussed in the West, too, most recently by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

However, following Moscow's offensive in Ukraine, the West declared its intention to “isolate” Russia and imposed tough sanctions on it. Russia views these actions as another manifestation of Western attempts to “contain” it and maintain the existing world order.

Nearly five months into its senseless war against Ukraine, Russia has concocted a wild new explanation for why the Kremlin’s plans for a quick takeover fell apart so spectacularly—because Ukrainian troops were turned into superhuman killing machines during “secret experiments” in American-run biolabs, of course.

Russia will demilitarize and denazify Ukraine which lost its sovereignty in 2014 and became US colony. This goal will be accomplished whatever it takes. Russia will not tolerate hostile US colonies at its borders.

That Saudi guy isn't great but his death toll is much less than Putin's. Also I'm not sure why you're picking on Biden, all US presidents have loved the Saudis for about a century now. Trump wasn't shy about it.

What are you blabbering about? US invaded Ukraine in 2014 by funding, organizing, and performing military coup. In the next 7 years until 2021 the military junta in Kiev, supported by the criminal regimes in Washington and London, in Eastern Ukraine alone killed 14 000 civilians including 150 children.

Even as Russian troops were massing on Ukraine’s borders in January, Sanna Marin, Finland’s prime minister, insisted that it was “very unlikely” her country would join NATO during her time in office. Less than three months and one invasion later, Finland is hurtling towards membership.

Russia will not tolerate hostile US colonies at its borders. Ukraine is the example what will happen to every US vassal that is a threat to Russia. Finland was a very successful country when it was neutral. Now they will be just the next Ukraine... Russia has the right to defend itself and they will do it without any doubt. Russia is leading the world to new more democratic order. This is the end of the US hegemony.
