Websockets Public API Launching Soon!

Kraken is excited to announce the upcoming launch of a websockets public API for market data! This is a service that many of our clients have requested since it enables faster and easier access to Kraken’s market data. The approximate worldwide launch time in various time zones is:

• UTC: Wednesday January 30 at 5 PM
• ET: Wednesday January 30 at 12 PM
• PT: Wednesday January 30 at 9 AM
• CET: Wednesday January 30 at 6 PM
• HKT: Thursday January 31 at 1 AM

The launch time is approximate only and may be significantly delayed.

You're not alone, as the website has been encountering a number of connection issues, unfortunately. A fix has been recently implemented, however users may still experience slow load times while our development team continues to investigate the issue. Correct. In regards to being liquidated or not, you will want to monitor your margin level. Once it reaches 100%, you will no longer be able to open new positions. If your margin level falls even further, some of your positions may be forcibly closed. in short, Kraken will also support tokens of the Bitcoin Cash SV protocol under the designation Bitcoin SV (BSV). The following trading pairs are currently live: BSV/BTC, BSV/USD, and BSV/EUR. As for funding, we are currently monitoring both the BSV and BCH networks and will not enable deposits or withdrawals in either token until we think it is safe to do so. On the November 15 2018 Bitcoin Cash hard fork

Bitcoin Cash will hard fork on November 15 2018 around 4:40 pm UTC as part of a scheduled protocol upgrade. This upgrade is more controversial than previous ones and may result in multiple viable chains after the fork.

Initially Kraken will only support Bitcoin ABC, which follows the Bitcoin Cash upgrade roadmap published by bitcoincash.org. On November 15 Kraken will prepare its Bitcoin Cash (BCH) wallets to be Bitcoin ABC specific so that coins from any alternative chains will be retained and not sent out from our wallets in withdrawals. We will not support any alternative chains for funding or trading on the day of the fork. We will then monitor the situation in the weeks and months after the fork and evaluate whether or not any changes to our stance are warranted, including the possibility of supporting an alternative chain. However, we make no promise or guarantee that any alternative chain will be supported. Clients who want perfect control should withdraw their BCH from Kraken prior to the fork.

It is true that your balance is not updated if you have any open orders, though the same can be said for the main site, as well. In this case, you'll need to check your open orders to calculate your available balance.

In regards to the AAPL chart issue, our developers are still working on a complete fix for this. If you're interested in viewing the Kraken markets on the main Tradingview website, you'll want to input "KRAKEN:" and all of our available markets will appear in the drop-down menu.

If you're already logged into the main Kraken website, you'll automatically be signed into the trade.kraken.com platform once you click that Connect button. It essentially has nearly all the bells and whistles as Cryptowatch (cryptowat.ch). Any verified Kraken account has access to the trade.kraken.com platform. Cryptowatch, on the other hand, allows you to trade across multiple exchanges and also enables you to receive price/volume alerts on your phone.

It's likely that your order was actually partially filled. You'll want to check your account balance, as well as the details of the specific order. If you'd like for our trading team to take a look into this, please feel free to open a support request and someone will get back to you shortly!

I don't believe so. If you haven't already, please open a support request and feel free to escalate it using the form above (see my previous message). Our funding team will then be able to assist you with your most recent deposit and what the issue may have been.

This may be due to the recent database maintenance. If you're still encountering issues, however, could you please escalate your ticket using the information found in Kraken-Septimus' post? As well, I've reached out to the API team in regards to your suggestion in updating the API and its documentation so you don't have to weed through external forums for info such as this.

Certainly. While we do not prohibit users from registering multiple accounts, there are some factors to take into account when planning on using more than one account:

• You cannot use the same e-mail address to register multiple accounts.
• When applying for verification (Tier 1 to 4), having multiple accounts may delay the verification process and you might be asked for your reasons for opening another account.
• You cannot use multiple accounts for circumventing your funding limits.
