We have added the form, but please do not submit your purchase order before the official start time of 1600 UTC or it will not be processed. We will be processing and sending out purchase invoices strictly in the order received after 1600 UTC so you may experience a delay depending on where your purchase is placed in the initial surge of orders. But please be patient, we will be in contact with you as soon as possible - we have a team ready for this, and it's been in the planning for many months.

In response to a lot of messages today about the Flash ICO, yes the website will be updated with the Flash ICO page and information by the start of tomorrow, but it will only be live for payments to be made at 1600 UTC, the start time of the eight hour flash period (or until the 800,000 Aurics are sold, whichever is the sooner) Exciting times for Auric!

Thank you for contacting us - whilst we can't be precise about who and how much is going to be invested how quickly into the main ICO on 1st September, we are concerned enough about a number of potentially large purchases from institutional parties that have been in contact with us for us to decide to run this flash ICO to try and lower the risk. The best advice we can give is that although we don't expect the main ICO to sell out immediately, there is a risk of that if the parties in contact with us all follow through on their implied investments.

Good morning all, this is a busy day for us here as we get ready for our eight hour Flash ICO, schedules for tomorrow 1600UTC. Although it wasn't originally planned, we're confident it's the right thing to do to sell just 10% and help ease the expected rush at the start of the main ICO 1st September.  We had already run extensive checks and tests on our processes so apart from having to schedule more staff to handle the process tomorrow, we had all the systems in place to go beforehand.

Full audits from Deloitte will be available immediately on close of the main ICO, showing complete cash flows from crypto into fiat and then gold, along with all balances held by Auric Foundation, in a simple to view and understand double-entry style system. They will also be available via a link on Deloitte's own site. We hope this addresses all comments made about our auditing, and gives potential investors clarity, transparency and security.

A reminder for tomorrow - we will update the website first thing tomorrow with the Flash ICO page, and also post it here and to all those who have registered with us for updates. You'll just need an email address and a wallet with BTC or ETH that you directly control. Full instructions on how to participate will be on the website Flash ICO page tomorrow. This will also have the pricing, expressed in Aurics/BTC and Aurics/ETH for convenience. Minimum purchases are 0.02BTC or 0.3ETH, as per our white paper. Only 800,000 are available tomorrow (10% of total supply) and the Flash ICO will run for a maximum of 8 hours or until that amount has been sold.

Thank you for your comments. We're sorry to hear that you haven't managed to find all the information you're looking for. Details of how and why we are running the Flash ICO have been posted several times throughout this thread, and we will be updating the website nearer the time. The main ICO is still scheduled for 1st September as in our white paper, and if investors prefer to wait for that then that's entirely their choice.

Equally, full details of how the gold exchange works is also in the white paper, along with where the gold funding comes from (ie the ICO) and why this feature is useful to a cryptocurrency. IF you prefer all the cryptocurrencies that have no backing and no intrinsic value to invest in at an ICO, then that's also your choice. Additionally, yes our auditing is being done by Deloitte, full details of this are available shortly. Again, most cryptocurrencies do NO auditing at all.

In light of all this, we did find it disappointing that you resorted to calling us 'scamish'. But again, we welcome all constructive comments, positive or negative and we do thank you for taking the time to post. We're sorry that Auric doesn't seem to be for you, but best wishes with your investments.

Thank you for your comments. The flash ICO runs 18th August for 8 hours and we are offering just 10% of the total supply. The main ICO is still starting September 1st. We have addressed the reasons for doing that in the thread, mainly to help spread out the time period and avoid the risk of institutions buying up at the beginning. We have had contact with several such institutional investors who are planning large purchases in the main ICO, so the flash ICO is a way to hopefully ensure that small and medium investors get a better opportunity to own Auric.

Yes we understand the principle there and we would also strongly advise all potential investors to read our white paper as it goes into a lot of detail on the structure of Auric.

We would just clarify that Auric is not actually 'pegged' to gold. It has a a freely floating and market determined price as with any other cryptocurrency. It is just that Auric has that additional value in terms of gold weight as a hedge or protection against potential declines in its market price.

We've had a number of messages, especially over Telegram, asking about the Flash ICO and how much the tokens will be. The price will depend on the spot price of gold on the day, ie the 18th August. At the moment, the price of gold is close to $1,200 per ounce so the price per Auric would be 1/1000 of that so around $1.20 each. The amount of Auric you would receive per BTC or ETH would obviously depend on the value of those crypto assets on the day also, and with the current volatility in those markets it's wise not to make a prediction.

However, it's worth remembering that whatever the price of Auric is (let's say $1.20 for the sake of argument), this same amount of gold will be added to our stores..so the Auric that you purchase will have that actual 0.001oz of value should you exercise the option to trade it for gold via the Auric Market. It will still have that gold exchange value should the market take another tumble. And should Auric experience strong price rises, you still have that security of the 0.001oz value to fall back on as a guaranteed minimum value (in terms of gold weight). For ICO investors, it's a perfect solution.  NB For a mathematical analysis of the possible paths that the price of Auric could take, using monte carlo simulations and fan charts, please see the relevant section near the end of our white paper. We hope this helps to explain things, do not hesitate to contact us if you need further clarification on any of it.

In related news, we expect to update the website to display the Flash ICO link sometime on Friday, although the form to submit your purchases via that will not become active until 1600 UTC on the Saturday, when the Flash ICO itself begins.

Thank you for your comments. This is all covered briefly on our website, and in great detail in our white paper. It's also been raised and answered in this thread, but we appreciate it's a key difference with Auric.

Very basically, each Auric is worth 0.001oz of gold and is priced accordingly during the ICO. This is matched by an equivalent amount of gold stored in merchant accounts at three depositories. Auric's will always have this reserve value that is redeemable for that quantity of gold, regardless of their natural price appreciation against fiat. A perfect solution for protection in uncertain markets, we feel. All of this is audited by Deloitte, and all money flows and balances from the ICO onwards are viewable to all investors for transparency.

Again though, for full details we would refer you to our white paper but thank you for your interest.

The gold backing is mainly a system to support the price of Auric in its early stages. By giving each coin an intrinsic value of 0.001oz of gold at the time of the ICO and backing this with accounts holding the equivalent weight of gold, it ensures that Auric has that as a true value to start with, separate from its value as a cryptocurrency. We offer, via the Auric Market, a means to exchange Auric coins for gold to the sum of the weight exchanged. This both provides price support as well as giving early investors a means to change asset class should they desire.

It's rather in-depth to explain in a post - we would advise downloading our white paper (links on the front page of this thread and our website) for full details. But basically, it ensure the price is supported and also means you always hold coins that are actually worth something in their own right, regardless of their natural price appreciation.

It's turning out to be a busy day as we try to work out what to do about the large buys that are going to occur when the ICO starts, and the risk that smaller investors could miss out altogether as a result of them. One option discussed at our meeting is to have what our FD called a 'flash ICO' where we sell a small percentage of the total supply over a period, for example, of one day and hold that sometime before the main ICO. Keep the pricing the same, still have the main ICO on September 1st as planned, but by selling this small amount early we give more opportunity for the smaller and medium investors as the flash sale amount would be below some of the amounts that hedge funds and investment groups have been contacting us about. Therefore, they wouldn't buy in it and would wait for the main ICO as before.

We're going to have a further meeting about this tomorrow after we've all slept on it but this could well be a good option. We're talking about maybe 10% of the total supply going up early for everyone to buy, on the same terms as the main ICO and with the same gold backing. We would have no problem doing it as the systems have all been in place for the last couple of weeks now. And if we don't sell the full 10% in the flash sale that would be fine, it would just carry over to the main ICO.

Will let you all know tomorrow what's happening, after we all have had a little more time to consider it.

Thank you for your comment, we have done our best to ensure that people understand the gold backing of Auric. The white paper especially goes into a lot of detail about the method of operation and economics behind it. We will continue to get the word out there in the time remaining before the ICO to give as many people as possible the chance to invest.

We think the gold backing of Auric is why some institutions are planning large purchases. Security of a minimum price along with lots of upside and a gold hedge. We hope as many as possible buy, we have done no pre-sales on pronicple.
