41  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Feeling Damn Frustrated on: January 04, 2015, 11:34:12 PM
I dont know about anyone else but I am feeling damn frustrated with the whole crypto scene.  I first got involved in Virtapay which turned to virtacoin and left alot of us with virtually nothing from a balance of 200k.  Then I discovered bitcoin and faucets.  Made my way around and started investing some small amounts in cloud mining.  The first frustration I encountered was microwallet and one other I cant even remember the name. Then the next frustration I encountered was Cointellect and their having to get verified and it wouldnt accepted my debit card (got verified through bitcoin finally), the next one was coin-miners, and after investing a small amount maybe about .025 btc.  Then this whole hashie crap, that was about .05 Btc but at least I managed to get 1 miner transferred to Amhash so all was not lost though I had just bought another miner days before their demise rather than coming clean with us they started playing games, I have my believes of what happened and I will wait and see what comes out in the wash (I was also one of those that were hacked, lesson learned changed all passwords and enabled 2fa where I could).  The same day that Hashie pulled their crap Hashprofit disappeared this was absolutely devastating and made me phsically sick to the point I was hospitalized.  I had again just bumped my hashing from 15 up to 75 over the period of a couple of days. The latest frustration has been AMhash and logging in and changing my BTC address but thanks to Alex and Rockxie that has been fixed.  Thanks to this forum and a few people I am learning even though I do feel kind of dumb at times constantly being reminded of it doesn't help matters.

Anyway thanks for being here you guys and gals have helped me through and to better understand many aspects.

Sorry for you.
But there are three fundamentals that many people so easily forget:

1. There is no free lunch.
2. There is no free lunch.
3. There is no free lunch.

This I say not to mock you, but as a warning for any other reading your thread.  It seems you already paid for your mistakes.

Don´t repeat them.
Good luck and never give up.
42  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HitBTC market making scam - they are NOT paying out! on: January 04, 2015, 11:11:38 PM
Sorry to hear that.

concerning their organisational set-up they seem to be no more then a system of shells (mostly cheap limited companies) in virtual offices all over the place.

The only person I ever saw speaking out in their name is Andrej Savchenko (a name like the proverbial "Joe Smith" in the former USSR) from Ullus on yt. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIyxBjUjXWk).
Although I must admit he does not seem to be in charge.
When you take a look at the parent company originally quoted, Ullus Corpo., from Panama City (which originally also was the beneficiary of fiat deposits at hitbtc), you will find a very basic website at http://www.ulluscorp.com/ which is available in English and French.
Ullus corp also is/was behind catpay, which seems to be offline meanwhile.

If you count 2 and 2 together (and have been around for some time), the combination of english, french, cats and latin word plays with shell company names ("Ullus" is just "Any-(body)" in Latin) might give you an idea of who you are dealing with...

But mind you, this is just pure speculation and the opposite might be true.....
43  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hitbtc.com locking in customer funds. on: January 02, 2015, 05:42:35 PM
You can call me overly nervous, but I just did what I had not planned to do.
I converted my fiat at hitbt.com to BTC (at a hefty loss) and withdrew.

my farewell to hitbtc.com:

At least crypto withdrawals are still working. for now.
44  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HitBTC market making scam - they are NOT paying out! on: January 02, 2015, 05:39:29 PM
I managed to exit the last few k euro.

my farewell to hitbtc.com at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=911995.0

it´s a shame. I had high hopes for them.
45  Economy / Service Discussion / Just got all my funds out of HITbtc.com - This my goodbye: on: January 02, 2015, 05:34:55 PM
Dear HitBTC.com,

After locking in my money (a few K EUR) without giving any substantial reason or suggesting any way to resolve the situation, I have converted my EUR funds to BTC and withdrawn them.
I had to do this at a significant loss, but my trust in you to act sufficiently responsibly when handling my money has dropped to below zero.

We had to experience several issues over the past year, but this was the final blow to our business relationship.

Just to sum it up:
-When you started off, there was very heavy orderbook manipulation going on (no correlation between price movements and volume what so ever).
-You never managed to get your organisational shit together properly. With a parent company in a virtual office in Panama city and (in the beginning at least) no registration as a company while you told customers the contrary.
-taking your official thread off of bitcointalk.org, never did any good and there are already some reports from other customers who tell of posts you deleted on your own forum due to negative content (eg: market makers not being paid)
-I will not go into detail what I make of the meaning of the latin "ullus" in Ullus Corp., catpay and all the other leads all over the place. Greetings to London and your buddies at Normura.

p.s.:
1. Your "compliance officer" can stay on holiday as long as he pleases. There is no need to re-verify any of my bank accounts with you.
2. Your support alias names are ridiculous.
3. This is a public goodbye.

46  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com verification? on: January 02, 2015, 04:02:56 PM
Dear theuckel,

HitBTC customers are granted a "Limited" status when their bank account details are added. This status allows to make deposits/withdrawals of up to 2000 EUR a day, 10000 EUR per week (rolling frame). Cryptocurrencies are not subject to these limitations.
Verified customers are able to deposit/withdraw bigger amounts of fiat currencies.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at support@hitbtc.com if you have any inquiries.

Regards,
The HitBTC Team

Sounds nice, but is not true.

As hitbtc.com simply de-verifies your bank account, so they do not have to pay you fiat and their support suggests to you that you buy crypto if you want to withdraw funds (at a hefty loss atm).

Ah -  and btw, if you insist on getting an aswer, better bring some patience because their "compliance manager" (probably Andrey Sevchenko from Ullus Corp) is on holiday.
mhm. sure.
47  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HitBTC market making scam - they are NOT paying out! on: January 02, 2015, 03:58:41 PM
Any news on getting your money?

As I had to find out, they are de-verifing bank accounts so they do not have to pay fiat to their customers (normal trading, no market making).

Something is going south there.
48  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hitbtc.com locking in customer funds. on: January 02, 2015, 01:30:03 PM
I have been trading there for many months, but it seems like it is going down recently (Just take a look at the miniscule orderbook depth around the spread borders).
Following their recent bank account change and their "accounting system update" there have constantly been problems with balances beeing locked in (usually you get some "new AML regulation" bs - even if fully verified. And guess what, the compliance officcer (probably Andrey Sevchenko from Ullus Corp himself), is on holiday. I do wonder if he will ever come back.
It might be early to panic concerning crypto currencies, but when you hold any fiat balances there, you should be highly concerned.

49  Economy / Service Discussion / Hitbtc.com locking in customer funds. on: January 02, 2015, 12:57:55 PM
An exchange ceasing to allow fiat withdrawals and giving very vague answers when customers ask why they are not getting their money.
Does that remind anyone of a little bit of history repeating?

My guess:
Hitbtc.com has run into some serious banking problems and is now trying to get customers to rather exit their funds in crypto (at well above average rates), then to pay people their balances in fiat.
Either that or they are finally packing things and are getting ready to make a run.

My 5 Satoshi: Hands off - hitbtc.com looks like going (m)t(g)oxic.
50  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 25, 2014, 09:01:58 PM
nice chart,
but it does have a tendency to lead people to percive the base currency of USD as something of constant value.
If your base cirrency were rubel for instance that chart would look totally different.

The big difference is you can actually buy about the same amount of of stuff with the same amount of RUB, in Russia. That is because there is a real economy behind it and in order for Cryptocurrencies to be even comparable they have to have that economy too.

Sorry to say, but this is actually not true.
You get less and less for RUB in russia every week.
And dont even think about buying anything from abroad (car, tech-stuff, clothes, just anything imported). It just got really expensive. But yes you can get local milk and bread for a more or less stable price.

53  Economy / Service Discussion / zyado.com is down. any ideas on why? on: November 16, 2014, 07:22:59 PM
just realised that zyado.com is currently offline.
Support said that some urgent work on the servers is the reason.
ETA thursday midnight (!!!).

As I have some funds there, this is a bit unsettling.
Anyone out there have more info?

54  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ANX: Your Ultimate Crypto Trading Platform on: October 30, 2014, 10:45:43 AM
I know hopes are slim, but are there any news regarding SEPA?

As another user mentioned before, FIDOR Bank in Germany might be a suitable partner as it already processes kraken.com´s banking and is also behind bitcoin.de. There is also a youtube video out there with Andrey Savchenko of the Ullus Corp/Hit Technologies/hitbtc.com conglomorate saying he plans to move their banking to Fidor (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIyxBjUjXWk) (if that means anything).

As soon as you have sepa re-enabled you can count me in as a regular p(l)ayer on your exchange too.

HerrAndreas.

Hi HerrAndreas,
are you still using HitBtc? I think Kraken is most trustworthy.
Hi kitano,

atm I am on hold with hitbtc, because of bank account change on my side, but in general I think risk is best managed by diversification weighted by performance (asset handling speed and reliability, support response time & quality, legal structuring and last but not least having healthy business model).

Withdrawing from public discussion here on bitcointalk.org did put a dent in that performance record and does indeed affect the volume I consider to be worth trusting to hitbtc.com.

56  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: HITBTC.com moving off of bitcointalk.org on: October 29, 2014, 10:44:13 AM
Its obviously a bad move, but HITBtc will still regain its pace soon. Maybe they want to look more professional or are planning to make some money of their forum

I believe that hitbtc is here to stay, but (BUT!) when it comes to appearing professional openly conducted customer communication is key.
As the bitcoin (trading) community is pretty used to (technical) problems with 3rd party asset holders and handlers like exchanges, trust has to be earned new every day.

In public.

57  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: HITBTC.com moving off of bitcointalk.org on: October 29, 2014, 10:01:04 AM
A little update:

I just publicly asked hitbtc to return with an official thread at their own forum: https://forum.hitbtc.com/index.php?p=/discussion/8/please-come-back-to-bitcointalk-org
If you think this is a good idea, please speak out.

Quote
As it not only provides a truckload of credibility to face (potential) customers in "public", it is also is available if anything ever fails with your servers.

disclosure:
I wrote a little post about you leaving bitcointalk.org at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=818963.0 which resulted not only a few replies but also in personal messages from concerned users what is going on at hitbtc.

I think you are much better suited to answer these questions than I am...
So please reconsider your withdraewal from bitcointalk.org and return to where the community of your customers really is.

HerrAndreas.
58  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange Now Open with USD, EUR, BTC, LTC, XRP, NMC, XDG on: October 29, 2014, 09:29:13 AM
I am actually expecting to be missing the obvious, but how the heck do I get an overview of all my trades/account history in a usable format (csv or the like)?
the last information from Dargo some months ago was, that they are working on a csv export, but it's not high priority.
Maybe he has some new information now.

I think we're pretty close with the csv export, but I expect it to be several weeks yet at least before it's ready since we have many other things on our plate at the moment. In my view this small feature has a pretty large impact on customer experience and should have been made higher priority for this reason. I've been pushing for it a long time and will continue to do so until it's live.

Please do keep pushing as this feature is indeed essential to all of us who are in the position to have gains they can not really hide from the taxman...

59  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Steuern auf Bitcoin in Österreich? on: October 28, 2014, 01:44:56 PM
...
