41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Maturity in Gambling on: September 01, 2024, 12:01:08 PM

Some experience gamblers use the game experience to make money in the gambling site. But the over confidence of the experience gamblers itself make them to loss the money in the gambling site.So the freshers or experienced doesn’t matter, the gamblers should avoid if the over confidence in the gambling.
Overconfidence in gambling can lead to great loses than wins, it's good that if you're lucky to win big, you should withdraw it and quit for the day. There is higher probability that if you want to increase your wins with the money that you've already won that you will lose everything. Being overconfident in gambling is a habit because some people that have lost their wins as a result of trying to increase it will still become greedy after another big win and repeat the same mistake.

Maturity in gambling is learning how to be disciplined and that is having a budget for your gambling bankroll, when you exhaust the amount whether win or lose, you quit for the day. Gamble with the amount that you can afford to loose, don't chase loses and don't be overconfident to increase your wins with the amounts that you've won.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to earn the same income like other, do what they are doing . on: September 01, 2024, 06:49:16 AM
Making money is about time and chance meaning that you can be doing what others are doing but you will not earn the same amount like them. We shouldn't be in competition with others when it comes to making money because the person you're looking at might have another source of income that you're not aware of. A lot of people have knowingly or unknowingly engaged in dubious means to make money because they want to emulate the lifestyles and income generation of some people.

One of the reasons why I love Bitcoin investment is that you're not in competition with anybody when it comes to hodling. Both the rich and poor can buy according to their capabilities, it's an accommodating asset and no discriminations. Although you can look up to some people as a motivation to perhaps be diligent in your DCA method but it's not necessary that you must hodl at the same pace with them.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Teams to Bet on for the Entire Season on: September 01, 2024, 05:39:16 AM
I think that it's a lazy strategy to put all your hopes of winning in a whole season on a team, it won't give you the interest to critically explore other teams performances. I have my favorite team that I support but when it comes to gambling my money I look beyond favoritism and analyze to know which team that has a better chances of winning. Sports bet is more fun when you're able to analyze the chances that your favorite team has against other teams in the season before placing your bets. It gives you the chance to assess the performances of other teams.
44  Economy / Economics / Re: My view of economy on: August 31, 2024, 12:34:26 PM
I don't have any skills only high ambituous and good vision how i should live life.
Me i just invest trade and enjoy life becouse Im not interested of much skills and it's difficult for me to learn any skills Im not talented... Only thing i need to know how the river of money flows so i can go with the flow.
Your way of thinking is bad, even though you don't have skills, trading requires skill and expertise along with trading knowledge that you must master, Likewise, investing requires assessment before you do it, it's not as easy as turning the palm of your hand, crypto trading is not the same as trading ice cream.
How can he say that he doesn't have any skills yet he's telling us that he trades and invests, the truth is that you need skills to trade and mental skills to know the best time and seasons to invest in cryptocurrency. I hope that he understands the phrase 'no food for a lazy man, without having a skill to work and make money you'll end up poor and become a destitute. Ambitions without any skills or experience will lead to poverty so you need work towards your goal. There's no free lunch, you need to be good at something to get paid so get a skill and get started.

46  Other / Off-topic / Re: Poor self-control comes from intellectual limitations on: August 31, 2024, 09:40:02 AM
And the intelligence of self-control is obtained from knowledge and experiential learning.
Self control is the ability for you to stop whatever you are doing at the right time or say NO to something which gambling is what one needs self control on. When one has the mindset of gambling for fun, he will use an amount that he can afford to lose because he knows that he might end up losing whatever amount he uses in gambling either little or huge amount.

This is where self control starts from, discipline triggers self control but when you are not discipline, you will lack self control. It is something that you must practice and deprive yourself from excess of what you like or love doing to avoid the aftermath of your actions.
Inorder to avoid being a gambling addict a gambler needs to be disciplined and that is what will make him to have self control. So the key behaviors to responsible gambling is discipline which is also self-control, gambling with the amount that you can afford to loose and not chasing loses. Some people can be very intelligent and disciplined in many aspects of their lives but they'll lack self control in some aspects. I knew a person that was very learned and disciplined in every other aspects as far as I knew but he was an alcoholic, he's late now. So self control is very important in every aspects of life including gambling.
47  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: SEC don approve two crypto firms to operate as exchange. on: August 31, 2024, 08:11:00 AM

My question na bi say, which exchange you go like to dey use. You go like use the one wey don register with Niaja SEC or the foreign one wey men dey use since?

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/business-news/729341-sec-grants-two-crypto-firms-approvals-to-operate.html
Di most important thing wey I de look out for in terms of exchange matter be reputation, my focus no be weda na local or foreign. So as e be for my side na di foreign exchanges na im meet my standards because exchanges like Binance don build solid trust for di crypto market worldwide. Before I go trust dis indigenous exchanges dem go first build dem reputations first and people go trust dem before I go patronize dem but I no go follow for di first sets of people. Because of di way wey our government take de none crypto friendly many people go de sceptical about any exchanges wey dem approve or endorse because e fit to be a trap to take de monitor and trap people coins.
48  Other / Off-topic / Re: The real sentiment of gambling. on: August 31, 2024, 06:57:25 AM
Whether it's gambling for fun or to make money depends on the mindset or intentions of every gambler because we all have different reasons why we gamble. Although we can't deny that everybody likes to win rather than losing but if you understand how gambling works then you will not put all your hopes in winning. So inorder to enjoy yourself in gambling, knowing that winning is not guaranteed then it's better to have the fun mindset so that you won't be disappointed if you don't win. That is why it best to gamble with the amount that you can afford to loose and don't chase loses
49  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China and russia will cause nuclear war If they don't stop on: August 30, 2024, 04:35:59 PM
I want to believe that no word power really wants war because at the end of the day everybody is drained both the victor and the conquered. What I think is that they create and develop these weapons of mass destructions to instill fear in other nations so that nobody will think about threatening or attacking them. USA, Russia and china, can not be at full blown war because that'll be the end game and these countries will not want that to happen. Ofcourse they can flex their muscles on weaker countries and another word power can support the weak country but these world powers can not have any direct confrontations with each other. So I wouldn't worry about BRICS nations, their amalgamation is mainly for economic reasons, not to fight USA.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin Finally Lost Its Decentralization? on: August 30, 2024, 12:52:32 PM
Bitcoin network is not centralized. This is what we should related to centralization. Since many years ago were centralized exchanges and custodial wallets which are all centralized but the purpose of bitcoin to be used for P2P on noncustodial wallet has not changed. Also no organization is controlling bitcoin.
The simple and direct answer to the OP question is NO, Bitcoin has not lost it's decentralization. Institutions and governments only have control over the amount of Bitcoin that they hold, just like any other hodler will have the control of the amount of the Bitcoin that they hodl. The Bitcoin blochchain is not centralized therefore not in the control of any single entity. Bitcoin is a unique decentralized digital cash that gives it's holders freedom and privacy from any third party including governments and institutions if held in a none custodial wallet.
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: AI and Brain Science on Equilibrium in Gambling Addicition and Sports Betting is on: August 30, 2024, 11:02:16 AM
Artificial intelligence has so many use cases and real life application period I am so glad that we are going to see what it can doing then addiction sphere. I am kind of disappointed because I was expecting to read that AI is going to go into the brains of gambling addicts and fix some neural connections related to addiction. Well, maybe it the future it will be possible after they are able to understand the behavioral patterns . For now a follow up question I have to ask is who gets to use the AI. Is the the therapist or the gambling addict?
I was thinking the same thing that scientists perhaps plans to input some scientific gadgets into the heads of addicts that needs AI help. Gambling addiction is a behavioral habit therefore what is best for them will be therapy and practicing abstainance from gambling activities. I don't see a connection between AI and addicts that needs help, if such a thing is possible it can lead to manipulating people's choices of reasoning. I don't think that it's a good idea for people to depend on any sort of machines that can tamper with their reasonings unless it's for life support.
52  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Claims Of $26Billion 2023 Revenue Is False, Says CEO Teng on: August 30, 2024, 08:57:13 AM
He also said Nigeria is never a big market for Binance which I think is also not correct. But after the stupidity from Nigeria regulators which I can say they are not literates enough, Nigerian using Binance reduced. Also this would be the reason OKX stopped providing crypto products and services to Nigerians.

So apparently, because of the feud the federal government and Binance had in Nigeria, it was the cause that made OKX want to leave too, that wasn’t a nice idea to me though. However, the money the CEO claimed to be generating from Nigerians is not correct because with a value like that generated from Nigerian user, he won’t say Nigeria is just not a big market for them. The federal government could have thought more and not allow them to leave like that when regularisation can also work in Nigeria with them.
I believe say either the Binance CEO no understand wetin our CBN governor talk about di money wey de pass through Binance or im just want to rubbish our government. And for him to talk say Nigeria, no be big market for dem wey be Binance, I no believe am. People know say Nigerians de very active for cryptocurrency and majority of us na Binance we de use for exchange matter so di talk no carry weight. My worry for dis matter be say Binance can shut down dem services for Nigeria, and CBN de act like dem no care, so na di ordinary Nigerians wey de use Binance all dis wahala go affect. I hope say make our government and di Binance management resolve dis dem gbege for di interest of Nigerians wey de enjoy di services of Binance.
53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Americans Spend More Money Betting On Sports Than Investing In Stocks" on: August 30, 2024, 07:39:36 AM
I think that the increasing number of people that are engaging in gambling is not limited to Americans, more people are seeing gambling as a get rich quick scheme. Fancy sports bet shops are everywhere in my country and more people are looking for shortcuts to riches without considering that the percentage of losers is far greater than the winners. I don't think that there's anything wrong with the increasing number of people that are coming into gambling, the only problem is if they don't know how to gamble responsibly.

With proper financial education a gambler will make budget for his income and allocate a small percentage, being the amount that he can afford to loose for gambling. This is because gambling doesn't guarantee wins or profit so practicing responsible gambling wouldn't stop you from investments.
54  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will October be the start of the green months to bull run peak? on: August 29, 2024, 03:15:31 PM

Can we expect this again ?

This is my first bull run and I think September will be pretty similar to August, very up and down. But once October comes things should start getting better again and I expect us to have a good Q4 and Q1 of 2025.

This will be my first bull run experience too and I'm really looking forward to seeing Bitcoin price skyrocketing and giving me massive ROI on my capital. I hope that the bull run should start in October, but there's no guarantee that the patterns of the last circles will repeat this time. From my research of the previous halving, ATH used to happen after it but we say ATH price before the last halving, meaning that it didn't follow the previous historical patterns. So I won't be surprised if bull run doesn't start in October, although I wish it would, but the fact remains that we can only speculate what ought to be but we're not sure if it'll happen the way we predicted it to be.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What has become of the once-booming NFT market? on: August 29, 2024, 01:50:41 PM
In 2021 and 2022, NFTs (non-fungible tokens) became a global phenomenon

Not global, it was a hype in the crypto world, highly exaggerated and driven by paychecks paid to celebrities by the issuers in order to trap newbies, if you put together all those claims you will see that despite the outrageous sums paid for some the total was disappointing, and this not counting a lot of fake auctions and selling prices.
That's why it died down so fast, there was simply no money to keep it running.
I'm not surprised that the NFT hype has drastically deflated, I never saw the future of it in the crypto market. The arts are what you can easily see and identity with so why pay outrageous amounts to own them, except for the money bags who're looking for where to spend their money. I think that one of the reasons that NFT failed so fast was because it's hype was highly exergerating and in the end there wasn't any drastic innovations to keep them relevant. Nothing is impossible and maybe the creators of NFTs can become innovative and redirect people's interests again but it's very unlikely.
56  Other / Off-topic / Re: Land Based Casinos in the Digital Age on: August 29, 2024, 12:20:42 PM
Hey everyone,

As online gambling platforms continue to grow in popularity, I’ve been wondering about the future of traditional, land based casinos. With the convenience and accessibility of online betting, will brick-and-mortar casinos become a thing of the past, or will they evolve to offer experiences that can’t be replicated online?

Do you think they’ll manage to hold their ground, or will we see a shift towards exclusively digital platforms?
As long as cinemas still exist even though you can conveniently watch movies on Netflix on your phones and people still go to stadium to watch matches when they can watch on TV and phones, physical casinos will still exist. It's just a matter of preference whether you want to gamble online or physically, people will always like to hangout and entertain themselves with friends in physical casinos. It's fun to play games physically so it won't go extinct. You can get bored sitting all by yourself gambling on your device and you can decide to visit a physical casino or sports bet shop where you'll mingle with other gamblers and have fun. I think that they'll coexist but online gambling will grow faster because of the ease of gambling.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you willing to go to self-inclusion? on: August 29, 2024, 10:16:32 AM

So my question, are you willing to go to this length for self inclusion because you are afraid that you will want to comeback to a casino and have the feeling of winning the jackpot and then become what others experiencing beginners luck and become addicted in the end?
If self inclusion like you called it is what will work for a person not to be a gambling addict then let him do it, it's better to exclude yourself from something that you think is harmful to you. But you didn't have to exclude yourself from gambling inorder not to become addicted to it, if you're able to practice responsible gambling and be disciplined to stick to it then you can gamble and not be addicted. To me responsible gambling basically means to gamble with the amount that you can afford to loose and don't chase loses, to achieve this you need to have a budget for your gambling. If you don't see gambling as a get rich quick scheme then I don't think that you will worry much about hitting the jackpot because it might never happen.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did bitcoin adoption bring about trust even in dips??? on: August 29, 2024, 09:09:20 AM
Did bitcoin adoption really bring about people trusting bitcoin even in dips?
I believe it does now, since we use mostly use earlier adopters and it price history to hold firm that when it price dips with time as long as we HODL then we will gain more and this is also from the fact that all this trust was built on knowing the truth about Bitcoin and how far it as gone and will go.

We hodl in dip because of the trust and reputation that Bitcoin has built since it's creation till now. It's history has proven that when it dips that it has the potentials to skyrocket and always reach new ATH price on the long term. The gains of the early Bitcoin adopters is one of the biggest motivations for many of us that are quite new in hodling to have the trust that it's price will always increase in every bull run. It's price will reach ATH before bear run and dip allover again, so no worries. Moreover Bitcoin finite supply and it's increasing adoption means that over time it's demand will always be greater than supply. This circle will always make make us to be seeing ATH in every bull run so we shouldn't really be worrying about dips.
59  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who makes a country what it his?The Leaders or the led? on: August 28, 2024, 10:52:27 AM
What makes a country what it is can only come from the leadership of that country, they make the rules and they're the ones that sets the pace of how the country is run. The rest of the people in the country follows their lead and every decisions that the government takes affects them in one or more ways. Countries that have proactive leaders will experience prosperity and security but in countries where they have mediocres as leaders you'll always see stagnancy and backwardness which brings poverty to their citizens. This is why in many poor countries those cabals that benefits from the impoverished state of their economies will always make sure that their countries will never have good leadership that will benefit the people. It's not easy to succeed and enjoy good life in countries where they have bad leaders
60  Economy / Economics / Re: How has this bad economic affected marriage ? on: August 28, 2024, 09:49:02 AM
Hi Forum members, Seeing the high rate of cost of living in our country today, please I want to ask how has this bad or better still tough economic situations affected your family and marriage?

For those already in it, has it cause chaos/disorder between you and your partners?
And those that entered it not long, does this current situations make you lament taking such decision.

For the bachelors/spinsters, are you grateful been single this moment?

Share your experiences?
The level of inflation in my country is in it's all time high and everybody is feeling the heat, except for the corrupt politicians who are looting the economy dry. Most families are facing hardship because of our devaluing fiat currency because the prices of commodities in the market are skyrocketing everyday. I believe that hardships affects most marriages because it's not easy to love when you're hungry and not able to meet uo with your basic expenditures. Sometimes there'll be no respect in the marriage especially on the side of the women, it takes matured minds to be able to remain in peace during hardships. I wouldn't say that the hardship in my country has affected my marriage because I had nothing when I got married and I'm better off today than then.
