41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart decision I made toward the end of the bull run on: May 15, 2022, 09:35:43 PM
I converted all all my altcoins to btc and eth and solona and stop listen to youtubers.
The youtubers can ruin your life. make your own decision and you will be fine.
This is relevant for me.
I am not sure when you made your decision on converting all your alts to Bitcoin, ETH and Solona, if you did that before the major crash then it was a good decision. What everyone does is to hold the money in stable currency until you see any major correction and then take a position on investing again rather than converting before any major correction.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Looks like markets are crashing ! this is it ...it's the big one ! on: May 14, 2022, 11:59:50 PM
Looks like we will soon leave the negative trend and head for the bull market, a few hours ago the bitcoin price was around $27k, and now it's more than $30k, I'm sure tomorrow or the day after the bitcoin price will reach $35k soon, and what we worry about hopefully not happen Again, the trend for 2018
In a perfect scenario what you said might be correct. Investors will find the price charming and they will start pumping the market, but things are a bit different now, the increase in interest rate by the Fed had an affect and then the LUNA blunder where their stable currency went down like a stack of cards. Knowing and seeing the market for the past several years and haven seen multiple rallies and crashes, it will take a long time to recover in my opinion.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 14, 2022, 11:45:44 PM

All explained very good and surely these are not favourable for ICC main countries so just because of this they are not interested to have this game cricket into Olympics as we already read they never give any application to IOC for this and just giving wrong explanations for some time which is going to end now with this all.
First and foremost there will be a limit on the number of International players that can participate in a team when you are in the Olympics, you can watch Football, you wont see teams fielding their best team, there will be experienced players but majority of the team members will be young especially under 23 and that will be the case with Cricket as well if it is included in the Olympics.

Surely all Performance enhancement drugs are banned as we already watch few players in different cricketing countries faced some bans just because of these drugs even they used for other problems but still have same effects. Big Three in ICC is surely not happy with this main issue which is involving IOC for all revenues because here they can do many tricks but IOC will never allow this so most chances we are not going to be member of this IOC.
If there is anything put the blame on the big three, that is a convenient way Cheesy. First and foremost it is not always about the revenue and as i mentioned above, the full strength team will not play and there will be a restriction on that aspect to be fair.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 14, 2022, 11:03:33 PM
The chance is very low for Kolkata to qualify for the playoff round. Gujarat has already qualified for the next round. Lucknow and Rajasthan have high chance to qualify for playoffs. It is hard to tell that who will be the other team to qualify for the playoff round. I think the 4th team will depend on Bangalore, Delhi and Punjab matches.
I think Lucknow Super Giants is safe and they have a much better net run rate. Rajasthan Royals has a good net run rate as well and even Delhi Capitals has a chance considering they have a good net rate but Royal Challengers Bangalore should win the rest of the matches considering their net run rate is not that great.

What is crazy is that the two new teams has the potential to win the tournament.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 8 Suicides Have Been Confirmed Because of the $Luna Crash. Why did Luna crash? on: May 14, 2022, 10:46:12 PM
As the crypto market grow, these type of incidence really effect the market. I think strong project are on the stack now as trust on the ecosystem of strong projects like DOT, ETH and BNB are on the verge of crumbling. But it's a matter of life of death when it comes to all in your life savings. Share your thoughts how you would improvise your portfolio?
I am not sure whether your headline is a fact or just used to attract users into your topic. It is really unfortunate that people does not read the white paper before jumping into the space and once that false narrative is gone the market went down crashing. Whom to be blamed here, i would blame the investors for going after salesman that offers a good profit rather than taking the time to read the technology they are offering.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to put money in ETH? on: May 14, 2022, 10:15:10 PM
Is it a good time to put some money into eth, or is it falling more?
I would literally wait for the market to stabilize and then make a decision on whether to invest in it or not. I am not too confident in investing in it right now as i think it is overvalued considering the plan is not yet functional yet and there is no timeline when the scaling issues will the sorted. If we have a time period on that aspect then the market could move forward considering the overall market sentiment.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a safe haven??? on: May 14, 2022, 09:25:52 PM
In my opinion I think bitcoin might be called a safe haven if you are only in for the long term, imagine having bitcoin as a safe haven back in ten years ago, regardless of the volatility and inflation rate surrounding the world, bitcoin has been to the rescue. Shun the volatility and go in for long term
It is much easier to say that people would invest heavily in Bitcoin ten years ago, anyone who invested knows the risks involved and have taken a chance and they were rewarded, no one knew in the beginning that it will be widely accepted and countries will be using it as a legal tender and a decade later things have changed drastically. Right now i would not consider it as a safe heaven but still if you are smart enough you can make a good profit.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! on: May 14, 2022, 08:07:36 PM
~
Bitcoin falled from $69000 to $30700 and El Salvador bought another amount of bitcoin, isn't that good enough, that is wise enough and a good investment strategy. Or you want El Salvador to sell at $30000? If bitcoin still fall, do not be surprised if El Salvador buy more bitcoin.
You are talking about a country who is struggling economically and has a huge public debt and then to invest money in a highly volatile market which lost 50 to 60% in valuations will benefit the country. If you are talking about a stable economy then the long term vision is a strong point but not for a country like El Salvador who is having a huge debt deficit.
49  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish market continues? on: May 13, 2022, 11:59:21 PM
It just sad though to hear those horror stories about investors getting depressed and contemplating about suicide. I still remember the story of one boy who trade on Robinhood and then committed suicide later on when there is a glitch in the system resulting of money being lost on his end. So I do hope that we won't hear the same stories because of what happened to LUNA and it's stable coins holder. So all should learn from ours and others mistakes and move forward in our life.
The depressed stories are many and i know there are many who entered the cryptocurrency market recently and made a ton of profit and they stick through thinking they will earn more and the sad thing is when the market starts its correction they will usually loose more than what they expected and the Luna situation was really sad because none of the users were smart enough to understand their blunder before it happened. I never invested in Luna nor i will invest in anything similar even if they have a good advertisement team.
50  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks Bullish Trend Line? on: May 13, 2022, 11:17:25 PM
~
Exactly! $20,000 now is the major support for me, especially this time, that's why I am not really expecting that Bitcoin could fall below that because for sure, there are already lot of buy orders lining up around that level and for sure this dump is just a temporary especially it's not only the Bitcoin market affected, it's global and other markets too.
I am not too sure what to take of this situation. If the institutional institution started selling the market would have gone down much further but the buy order started coming in when it touched around $27k. Even i do think that in the worst of situations we might even go below $20k but the alt market had a much bigger correction in the past few days.
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 13, 2022, 10:36:48 PM
I am quite sure that all these reasons are the main cause why cricket is not going to be in the Olympics. The big 3 surely do not want to lose their control over the ICC and if cricket is inserted into the Olympics that will surely be a problem for them. they are a lot used to the special treatment by the ICC and if they are treated equally as all the other teams it will hurt their ego. So, even if ICC wants to add cricket to the Olympics I don't think the big 3 will let them.
I am not sure about all these theories, you think NBA does not have that much control because they are listed in the Olympics or that FIFA does not have that control over their sport because they are an Olympic sport. What control will be gone when they are listed for the Olympics and i am yet to understand these logics. Even if they are included the countries will not sent their full team and most probably a younger team.

Things are not good enough for home team as they are going to face spirited Sri Lanka in first test match at Chattogram Shakib which was dropped for Covid-19 positive now have negative and going with team but still need some more medical tests for participating into first test even coach Russell Domingo is not positive about Shakib for first test match. With this Now Mehdi Miraz and Taskin both are also out of first test due to finger and shoulder injuries, so with this all look like Bangladesh is having not good chances against visitors for winning this series.

My prediction about this series is Sri Lanka won or draw because at home they have some advantage and can give tough time to Lankan's but still they are good to win in this series.
So that means Bangladesh is having injury concerns in the upcoming tour. When is the first match and i have to see the team for Sri Lanka before making a decision because some other time i placed a bet after seeing the comments here and messed up badly  Cheesy. Bangladesh is always a strong side at home and they always pack their team with spinners but Sri Lanka does play spin well but yet to see the team.
53  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t rush to buy Bitcoin on: May 13, 2022, 09:38:27 PM
I know many either bought at $30K or $28K because it seems like a great price. Or even earlier at $25.5K.
What you said is true, the market always gives you the opportunity to get at a really great price but in this instance and in a situation when the entire market goes down drastically how deep the market can go. The alt coins market was shattered and yet the Bitcoin market did not went past $27k which was surprising as i expected a much bigger correction in the Bitcoin market as well Cheesy.
54  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin fall below $30k on: May 13, 2022, 07:46:22 PM
the last 24 hours the price of BTC has started to rise about 9% above the $30k average. this is a just my opinion if BTC can maintain its value above the $30k average then I have no doubt that BTC could switch to a price of $32k - $33k in the next few weeks. maybe!
It is showing some signs of recovering in the past few hours and it is still hovering around $30k and it can even go down from this position. It is hard to predict now. Luna which i think started this spiral downtrend will not recover and their so called stable currency went down the drains and i cannot imagine how many lost their hard earned money in that.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what will happen to LUNA? on: May 12, 2022, 10:06:16 PM
What are your thoughts on LUNA? What will happen in the next 24 hours? Will it go to 0 or up?
With the speed of correction and considering the current price of $0.01217, i do not think it will go to zero. It all depends upon the team and how they are going to sort their technical issues which was flawed from the start. Yes they had a lot of hype and many made a lot of money but the market caught up with the flaws and it reflected when everyone started dumping.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitgert Vs Shiba inu on: May 12, 2022, 08:14:17 PM

If the two are fundamentally different, why did the OP make a versus for the two? because if Bitgert already has its own exchange and blockchain, Bitgert is automatically referred to as a coin and is clearly very different from the Shiba Inu which is still referred to as a token that is included in the meme category even though the demand is still quite large at this time.
Looks like it is part of their advertisement push, i have seen many shills posting about bitgert in the past few days and they started a thread here and posted something which is irrelevant to compare  Cheesy. They should have used someone who knows what they are talking about and they just started a comparison with a meme coin which had a lot of hype.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Carbon Footprint on: May 11, 2022, 08:38:30 PM
Are you worried about Bitcoin mining energy consumption? I've read it's using more electricity than Argentina, it's using more than energy than American Airlines and Bitcoin miners in Iceland use more electricity than their entire national domestic consumption.

Oil and mineral extraction is damaging our environment, selling tobacco is contributing to cancer cases but it doesn't stop investors wanting to make profit in unethical projects. If we're looking at ethical facts cryptocurrency traders are involved in a business that's damaging the planet, that's what makes me feel uneasy. What's your position?
If a global decentralized financial market is using energy more than a country, what is the big issue in that. It would be great if the miners were able to convert their energy sources to greener energy but i do not see that as a huge issue as long as it is helping Bitcoin to become more decentralized, more miners more decentralized and it takes energy to compete.

ICC is really not interested to make cricket a bigger spot around the world but I think the T20 cricket is really going to attract more and more countries towards cricket because it is obviously not that time-consuming. so I believe cricket can have a global acceptance through T20 cricket.
I responded to these earlier as well. If you are the president of ICC, what you will do to make the sports bigger. How many billions you will be spending to create interest in a country that is not a viable business place for them. The basic thing to create interest is the incentives you get in a sport and how much do you think an associate team member gets annually. Average is $15k annually and the top players might get around $60k and with that kind of financial instability you cannot expect the best athletes from a non playing nation to start playing cricket.

Its my first time knowing that whenever FED increase interest rates, it often have a negative effect in the market. What I only know is the Russia-Ukraine war and the inflation is the reason why markets are going down. Thanks for sharing.
When a market attracts institutional investors who invest in other financial market you tend to see them making decisions according other things that could affect the overall financial market and hence you see them booking their profit when the interest rates are increased. It was not like that in the past but now onwards the market will move in accordance with the over all financial market.

Crashes are temporary I agree on that. The best thing to do right now is to stay patient and not do anything or if possible stay away from seeing the charts because it will just make you anxious and you might panic as well and make bad decisions. If you have extra money then you can buy assets at a lower price but its risky.
The best option right now is to wait till the market stabilizes and then make a decision according to the market situation. The market is expecting a recession and if that happens there will be another blood bath where the market goes down drastically. So it is important to analyze the overall market situation before making a decision.

RCB won today despite kohli poor form and CSK got another win today. CSK are having a good time ever since Dohni took over captaincy. DC still have fair chances to qualify for next round but they need to win upcoming  matches. Such 91 runs defeat against weak teams like CSK won't help them.
The two teams that batted first posted a total on board and the team chasing struggled in both the matches. Moving forward i am expecting this to be the theme as the pitch might be slowing down and it is difficult to bat in the second innings. I hope they will make a pitch that is much better in the quarter final as both teams get equal opportunity irrespective of the pitch condition.
