41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: August 04, 2016, 09:03:24 AM
People might not trust the Ethereum any more, one is fork coin, the other is hack coin. But why are they buying.

ETC is not a hack coin, or then BTC is also a fifty-fold hack coin, as it didn't fork over major hacks and thefts of bitcoin.

Remember that it wasn't ETH that was hacked, but an application on it, the DAO.  So if an exchange bitcoin wallet gets hacked, that's similar.   If a coin doesn't hard fork over one single theft, it is then a hack/thief coin according to that logic.  Good luck forking over every theft.

It is possible that people lose confidence in the ETH and the ETC. They are just scam coins and will be dumped soon.

Maybe the ETH is the good coin. But the price could drop a lot when there are some manipulations of the price.
I think ethereum right now is not a good altcoin right not because they are already experience of hacking from DAO issue before..
So  i think the price of ethereum will be increase soon they will converting rigt now into ETC instead..

There is a possibility that the ETC owners will convert their ETC into ETH before the big dump happens.

After most Ethereum developers confirmed that they will support the ETH only, there is no hope for ETC.
42  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to $ 400 soon? on: July 21, 2016, 07:14:28 AM
wow, + 7% in the last 24 hrs

 Shocked Shocked Shocked

i don't think that we will be back to 400$ soon as price now is 650$ and we had halving 1 week ago so i am pretty sure that price won't fall down but will rise only
of course the price is not going to come back down, that would be a huge disaster as a lot of people would be sad about the price dropping and they would sell a lot of bitcoins

I think so. The bitcoin shall not drop below $400. The bitcoin has more users and is more useful than before.
43  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to $ 400 soon? on: July 06, 2016, 01:03:02 PM
I think bitcoin prize will not be smaller than 500$ per peace.Bitcoin prize after halving is every time bigger and bigger so I think that my preriction can be correct. So it is better to wait bitcoin to reach 500$ per 1 bitcoin and then buy it and  wait  bitcoin to  reach 10000$ price and then sell it  and you can become rich with this method Cheesy

i agree, there has already been a couple of dips and none of them could lower the bitcoin price to below $500 that is why i believe the the days of low price 400 bitcoin and any lower is gone and we will never see that price every again, and anybody who has bought bitcoin back then is now a winner.

If there is a bug found in the new implementation of the SegWit or other new features of the bitcoin, the price could drop.

IMO it's rising now due to a soft fork solution has been supported by the community.
They now have an option to get the funds back without a hard fork
Indeed. It's reassuring to see how the ETH community is pulling together.

Can they get the 3.6 million stolen from the hacker back without using the hard fork? I thought soft fork just freeze the funds.
Yes they are working on it. Can't say much more right now but expect gud news.

They get the funds from the hacker, the hacker gets it back again, is there never ending loop? I thought there is 27 day freeze period.
28 days. And this allows for a resolution to be implemented at this time, and any other time such attack happens.

If all the DAO has been moved once now, can they can be moved again within 28 days? If not, we will have a quite period of 25 to 28 days.
45  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to $ 400 soon? on: June 10, 2016, 05:42:08 PM
We will not go back to the 400 dollar every, I think right now with all this upcoming events its not even possible to go to the 400 dollar honestly.
I also feel that the price of bitcoin will be stable for a long time, after all this time bitcoin prices are being increased, it may be very long if you wait bitcoin prices back down at $ 400

The recent price rise was after 6 months long consolidation. The base was very solid, so it will not drop again.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: May 27, 2016, 04:10:18 PM
To some extent, I like the Etheruem price to drop further, so that people will not add mining rigs, I can mine more.
47  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to $ 400 soon? on: May 13, 2016, 05:56:45 PM
I think now in this time bitcoins price go up more because now halving is coming and it is more helpful for bitcoins for increasing the price but after halving bitcoin will come in his own price, so be careful and use you sense how to use or save it.

The bitcoin has tested the price around the $430 range for a few times, it is a solid bottom. So the price will rise a lot.

The price will rise slowly this time after halving. That will be different to what happened in 2012-2013.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: April 30, 2016, 06:05:45 PM
ETH rising quite a bit today. Do you guys think it has something to do with the start of the DAO crowsale(https://daohub.org/)? I mean, around 211 000 ETH are quite a bit. Plus, there is no "1st day bonus", the ETH to DAO exchange rate will stay the same for the next 13 days. Wth that in mind, ETH could rise a little higher still, right?

But at the end of the day, those 211k Etheruem has to be spent, so it will be sold again to the market.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goldman Sachs: "Blockchain - BTC´s underlying tech - could disrupt everything" on: April 16, 2016, 07:08:27 PM
If BTC can disrupt Goldman Sachs, that's good. Just another reason to support BTC!
They're not scared yet, but I hope they will be in a few years.
BTC was invented to giver more financial power to the people, the banks will lose.

Bitcoin will not disrupt Goldman Sachs. They are smart. They will adopt the bitccoin and earn more money.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ethereum totally off grid(Suggestion Needed) on: April 08, 2016, 10:44:42 AM
Nobody knows what the price will be in 1 months, 6 months, etc.

There is always some degree of risk. Don't risk anymore then you can afford to lose.

The best time to start Ethereum mining was in January.
Certainity is always there, but even if the price fall and I keep on mining,I dont mind getting the ROI some time later. At least I will be keeping up generating ethers,No?

If the price is below the cost of mining, it is better to buy the coins instead of mining the coin directly.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ethereum totally off grid(Suggestion Needed) on: March 17, 2016, 12:45:01 PM
The difficulty is rising fast and the price is dropping. Unless you have cheap electricity, do not start mining now
52  Economy / Economics / Re: Stock market rigged on: March 01, 2016, 01:41:50 PM
Stock prices are artificially propped up with all the at QE money the banks decided to hoard

There is no good investment for the banks, so they have to hoard the money. If they invest, they will make a loss.
53  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is it theres so few signature campaign offer for newbies? on: February 18, 2016, 10:51:45 AM
I think the newbie or junior member's signatures are too small. They will not attract the attention of many people.
54  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you get free electricity and can afford a miner... on: February 05, 2016, 11:32:29 AM
i still wouldnt mine any bitcoins if i would get free electricity and afford a miner, it would be just a waste of time as it would take a lot of time to make the return of investment, not even talking about making profit

If you have free electricity and can afford the miner, then it is OK to mine. But the income might not worth your effort.
55  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is it theres so few signature campaign offer for newbies? on: January 23, 2016, 11:51:28 AM
from newbie to become jr. member is it takes very little time and posts. it is good time for new member of forum to  familiarize themselves with community
I think it would be crowd of spams, and dead newbie account. this is the best option

Why dead newbie account is the best option. Newbie can also write good quality posts and express their opinion.
56  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big Dumps on Black Friday? on: January 10, 2016, 12:09:59 PM
Surprise surprise, there was no big pump n sump from bitcoin black Friday.
Volume was just way too low to make a significant impact.

May be bitcoin spent during black friday wasn't enough to cause the merchant dump to have much impact on the price.

Ofcourse it wasn't enough. Look at the daily volumes, do you really think so many was spent shopping using bitcoins?

Speculators were very wrong this time.

The Black Friday is just in America. The bitcoin transaction happens mainly in China. So the BF effect is very small.
57  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you get free electricity and can afford a miner... on: December 31, 2015, 11:03:39 AM
If you know about computers and treat it as hobby, then it is OK to mine. Otherwise, it is not worth your time.
58  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 1 BTC on: December 19, 2015, 02:19:38 PM
I do not think anybody will lend you 1 bitcoin without collateral unless they know you personally. There are too many scams.
59  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is it theres so few signature campaign offer for newbies? on: December 08, 2015, 09:37:44 AM
The reasons could be: the newbie post quality is not good, the signature effect for newbie is too small. the higher ranks ones got more colour in their signature.
60  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big Dumps on Black Friday? on: November 26, 2015, 11:18:34 AM
If we spend a lot of bitcoin to buy goods and do not buy back the coins we spend, there is a chance of price drop.

This certainly happened last November. Around this time last year, Bitcoin was around $350. After the holidays were over it plunged to $167.

This time, after we spend the bitcoin, we will have to buy it back to support the price. Otherwise, the price will drop.
