41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 19, 2013, 02:42:16 PM
Bears are in another full route.

Or maybe bears are actually just extinct at this point?
There's less and less cries of it being a bubble for a good reason.
42  Economy / Speculation / The $1 barrier, the $50 barrier, and a >$300 peak. on: March 19, 2013, 02:37:41 PM

What happened after the $1 barrier was crossed? Bitcoin went up 3300%. That bubble was likely to be caused by BTCS&T, but I don't think the rally up to $5 was a bubble.

if history is an indicator, we'd see continued rises to $75, another strong psychological barrier at $100, and assuming we break through that we'd see rapid price rises (~$300-$500). After so many barriers were broken down, the coins from the weak hands would have moved to stronger hands and we'd see much less resistance. There's no doubt that many people will be cashing out their profits, but bitcoin will get far more media attention and the demand will far outstrip the supply. So, really the sky is the limit, if we break $100.

When that bubble bursts, expect $80 bitcoins, not single digits.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NovaCoin - Balthazar's PPC + scrypt fork, pool list on: March 17, 2013, 11:57:06 AM
I'm interested in shorting novacoins. If you're interested, please send me a PM and we can work something out.

Thanks!
44  Economy / Economics / Re: European Union is robbing its citizens' bank accounts. 9.9% to be confiscated. on: March 17, 2013, 11:55:44 AM
The 9,9% nr is only true when your account has more than >100.000€
It is 6,75% if your account is <100.000

Still sucks when involved but we must keep nr right....

The thing is, if you had 99,999 EUR, then you pay 6.75%.

If you had 100,001 EUR, you would pay 9.9% of the whole amount, not just the euro that exceeded it.

It's flawed but likely intended.
45  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tim Wheat is Scamming as Sinkingbottled on: March 17, 2013, 11:54:33 AM
Thanks for catching on to this BCB. You just scammed a serial scammer :)
46  Economy / Gambling / Re: One thread per site ONLY on: March 17, 2013, 11:51:22 AM
So when we create an entirely new type of bonus, or new games, then that's new and noteworthy and deserves a new thread.
I agree. I see nothing wrong with these threads. You need to remember why this policy was put into place more than you need to actually follow it to the letter.

Thanks. I'm trying to follow the spirit of the rule. I trust you guys will let me know if I ever cross a line anywhere.

FWIW I promise not to ever run stupid redundant spammy bonuses and whatnot in new threads, I don't have any reason to post about it if it's not something new to the site.
Why not have a bonus giving 1 million satoshi for everyone who replies? Free bumps! Hey, it worked well for other gambling sites -.-
47  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Bitcoin Casino: bitbet.cc on: March 17, 2013, 11:48:33 AM
Not the best reply you can make..
48  Other / Off-topic / Re: KimDotCom = Satoshi Nakamato on: March 17, 2013, 11:48:03 AM
I don't subscribe to the theory that satoshi is multiple people. The original source code looks like it's written by just one person.
49  Other / Off-topic / Re: How you you want someone to prove they are Satoshi? on: March 17, 2013, 11:46:38 AM
Most likely satoshi's forum account has being disabled to prevent someone logging in and causing panic by saying something ridiculous and/or stupid.
50  Economy / Securities / Re: DeadTerra is a nightmare to deal with on: March 17, 2013, 11:43:42 AM
In sort, a free share transfer service isn't your personal broker. There's always making a MPEx account for 24 BTC (with the refer system) or just using CoinBr.
51  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] TU.SILVER -- Request for Discussion on: March 17, 2013, 11:42:53 AM
Getting back to business, I'm pleased to present the TU.SILVER report for March 16th, 2013.

"The Rally is Over, Part 1: Turning the Corner" (click to view or download).

This week we're also experimenting with a forum edition at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=153621.msg1630353#msg1630353.

Happy stacking!

Hmm? Isn't this the second report where your first one caused anyone who followed it to lose money?
52  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: March 17, 2013, 11:42:14 AM
Awesome news! Just tried writing an option and it's really smooth.
53  Economy / Economics / Re: European Union is robbing its citizens' bank accounts. 9.9% to be confiscated. on: March 17, 2013, 11:40:23 AM
*chanting* RUN ON THE BANK, RUN ON THE BANK, RUN ON THE BANK!

+1

A massive worldwide bankrun could crash this broken system once and for all.. why let them do it slowly and painfully, let's do it FAST !

I do not let any amount in banks.. Can't trust any Wink

Another massive bank was on the verge of a full scale bank run until the Federal Reserve injected emergency liquidity.. The GFC would have turned out a lot different if there wasn't that action.
54  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's Bounce on: March 17, 2013, 11:38:51 AM
Oh look, another technical analysis that has [better / even / worse] chances than luck.
55  Economy / Lending / Re: Goodbye all on: March 17, 2013, 11:37:29 AM
I don't really know you, but I hope you at least broke even with your lending / investments.

Making everyone auth on OTC paid off!
57  Economy / Gambling / Re: GBBG Bitcoin Fund on: March 17, 2013, 11:35:58 AM
This topic is off-topic in every board except the trashcan.
58  Economy / Gambling / Re: BtcGoldCoin.us Awesome New Gambling Game! 97.5% 1.15x!!! WIN PHYSICAL SILVER!!! on: March 17, 2013, 11:35:04 AM
People still play chain games like these?
59  Economy / Securities / Re: Official Exchange-Spot Investment Support Exchange.ESIF ESIF ESBM on: March 14, 2013, 06:26:01 AM
I thought that it would create an intrest in the asset.

This might be off the mark, but a former scam asset issuer (Capital one?) couldn't spell interest either. Possibly same person?
60  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Community Exchange with DRIP, YUBIKEY, GAUTH [HTTPS://BTCT.CO] on: March 14, 2013, 06:24:57 AM
I really like the value analysis page with its trade memory.  In the Portfolio, under My Value Analysis, is there a means of changing the 'Price paid' values listed for transfer-ins?  It looks like they are treated as if purchased for 0BTC (at least in my case).  This affects the "Approx Profit" value estimation.

I need to start defaulting the transfers to the 24hr averages or something.  A lot of people don't fill it in, thinking it's for fees.  But when you're transferring shares to someone and we ask the value, it's not for fees, it's for this analysis page.  Smiley

The only way to fix it in the analysis page is to transfer yourself all your shares at whatever value you want them to be valued at.  At some point I'll try to get in an edit ability, but that's a ways off right now.

Cheers.

.. why is that even a separate input?

Share of the same asset are equivalent to each other, doesn't matter if it was traded on the orderbook or if it was transferred.
